This book was such a delightful journey into the enchanting world of homes in all their forms. I read this with both of my kiddos and although they are older than the target audience, we still enjoyed ourselves! I feel like rhymes are captivating no matter your age and work their magic even more so when paired with a heartfelt adventure and beautifully crafted illustrations. The rhyming flows smoothly which makes it an excellent choice for classroom read-alouds or bedtime stories. What stood out to me the most was the message that home isn’t just a physical space, but a place filled with love, safety, and connection. I highly recommend grabbing a copy to share the joyous exploration of homes with the little ones in your life. It’s a beautiful reminder that home is truly where the heart resides!

My daughter thought learning about different homes was great and really loved the illustrations as well! Her reading level is fairly low and she was able to breeze through with only minor assistance. I myself thought the layout and all the different types of homes were great and the story flowed well.

It is a cute little book that talks about all the different places that people live. Some people may live in a big home, while other people may live in a small home. A short book that shows the different places that people and animals can live. I think I would have liked this better if it was worked into a story. Each page is a picture and it says “some live …..( whatever the picture is)” and another different in the next page. No storyline. Then the ending makes note of how people are happy in families or alone. It rounds out nicely but the delivery could have been better. On the illustration side of things the pages are very well done and colorful.

Learn about where different people can live and how they may set up their homes. The illustrations are very well done and vibrant. They will engage the youngest of readers learning more about homes. Most importantly, home is where all the love begins!

This book is such a lovely way to teach kids that “home” does not mean the same thing to everyone, and each one looks different. This is the kind of thing my daughter knows, but probably didn’t have much awareness of and I liked the fact that this book allowed for that discussion to occur naturally.
The illustrations really helped to bring this book to life. They are what really got both my kids interested in the story and kept them invested the whole way through. We have read a few books by this author now but I think, overall, this is one of our favourites. This is a fantastic book that I would highly recommend for young children.

This is an adorable book for young children about all of the different kinds of places that people call home. The illustrations are well done and colorful, and the story is easy to understand and digest for youngsters. I would definitely recommend this for parents and teachers of preschoolers or early elementary age children, and possibly even those who are going through an adjustment at home, such as a divorce or moving to a new location. My children are a bit old for this one, but they still liked looking at it with me. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a way to speak to their child about how families and their homes can look and feel different, but still make them happy.

This book is great for younger children. I’d say first libraries, bedtime stories, and kindergarten classes is where this book belongs! Super cute and the illustrations are wonderful! This book takes you through the many places where people and animals live. Each unique, but all homes. From big cities to countryside homes. Each has their own special qualities and all have love within them. This book reminds young readers that it doesn’t matter where you live, but that home is where all love begins. I really enjoyed sharing this book with kids. I would have them point out different things on different pages. Find who lives in hills on the ground, find who lives in cozy dens, and so on. I love making books interactive along the way. This was such a cute and wonderful book.

I read this book with my two sons – D (age 6) and S (age 2.5). They absolutely loved it! This book takes a look at all the different places that animals and people can live matched with fun, rhyming words.

A review from an actual kid:
D (age 6) – “Animals and people live in all different places.”
S (age 2.5) – “They all have a home like me!”

We gave this book 5 out of 5 stars.

What a cute story. It’s true home is where the heart is. But we don’t all live in houses. I love that the author included the outdoor critters as well. The pictures are bright and colorful. Opening the storytime for conversations. The writing is clear and easy for our little ones to follow. Another great open ended book. A must have for all of our bookshelves.
