Fade into the Night (Philly Heat Series) by Becky Flade – Review by Kimberly Filer

Fade Into the Night (Philly Heat series, #5)Fade Into the Night by Becky Flade
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fade Into the Night is the 5th book in the Philly Night series and could be read as a standalone, however I do recommend reading previous books in the series. Meet the characters Noah and Sadie. Noah is an FBI Special Agent who has come to Philadelphia in pursuit of the Beltway Romeo, Sadie a Forensic Facial Reconstructionist. The two re-meet in the most unlikely place after a brief “fling” a few years prior. The heat between the two is hard to miss and makes you wonder why they ended it to begin with. The author includes everything you could possibly want in a story. Danger is around every corner, a heated romance, a crime that needs to be solved and the suspense behind every page.

Sea of Demons: A Dark Enemies to Lovers Mafia RomanceSea of Demons: A Dark Enemies to Lovers Mafia Romance by Heidi Stark
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Another great book by Heidi Stark. Warning: this book includes graphic violence and sex scenes, and references of abuse/assault that some readers may experience as triggering.
I do recommend reading the other books prior to this one just to clarify some of the back story line. This is another dark romantic book complete with suspense… with danger, dramatic developments, tension, raw and gritty details, violence, murder, action, chemistry, sexiness, emotion, and intensity. Angel and her gang are back for another suspense story. Once you start it you can’t put it down because you need to know how it’s going to end, one of the best books I’ve read in this series so far.

Non VerbalNon Verbal by Molly Zenk
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A wonderful book about a middle schooler with Autism. Emerson was born with the ability to talk and all of that disappeared around the age of 15 months which is common with those on the Autism spectrum. She is a fiery teenager with lots to say and no way to share her words, there for she shares them in behaviors which are less then wonderful. Emerson goes through the normal teen life trying to not only manage her non-verbal world but also all of those teenager challenges at the same time. A wonderful read.
