Kissing the Kavalier by Annette Nauraine – Review by Krista Vaughan

A historical romance with a dashing Kavalier named Matteo, his love interest Arabella and her “brother” Zdenko. A sweet romance of love letters starts between Arabella and Matteo. Only Zdenko is the one answering love’s call. “Zdenko” is actually “Zdenka” and she is madly in love with Matteo. This sweet and exciting love triangle was a pleasure to read. If you love historical romance with strong female leads, I would highly recommend!

Liam is sixteen and everyone and everything seems to mess with him. He’s like a magnet. I’ve been unlucky and I’ve had bad things happen but Liam is more likely to have them happen than not! It’s almost tragic reading the first part of this story until Kenna saves Liam’s life and things start to change. Imaginative and unlike any other story I have read, I enjoyed this book very much!

Love Between the Lines by A.D. Brazeau – Review by Krista Vaughan

Marlowe is a writer that finds it so much easier to live life at home with her cats. Her sister and her best friend are there for her and that’s all she needs. She’s sworn off of men and love. Who could blame her? Have enough bad relationships and you don’t really want more. Anxiety is so hard to overcome even when a smart, sexy and loyal guy like Heath comes along. A sweet love story that would make any chick flick lover happy!

Braelynn defends the Giordano family as their defence attorney. After defending Seth they fall for each other despite all the reasons they shouldn’t be together. Braelynn makes a terrible error one night that could ruin her life. This story shows what can happen when desperation leads to murder and what lengths love will go to to save the day. This is an incredible story I highly recommend.

Jordan’s character pulled me in and took me along on her story full of strife, addiction, sex and obsession. I felt every word of this story. Jordan’s Shadow grabbed my interest and took me on a crazy ride. The culmination of their story left me bereft and shattered. It was addictive, all-consuming, and everyone NEEDS to read this book!

Cecily has loved musician Andrew Holiday FOREVER. Have you ever had a song speak to you? The artist just seemed to understand how you felt? Andrew just seems to “get” her. Cecily auditions to be in his next music video and she catches Andrew’s eye. Her current boyfriend certainly thinks something is up. Is there a chance her dreams of Andrew could become reality? A beautiful story of what could happen if you just believe.

This story grabbed me and held on from the beginning to end! An apocalyptic atmosphere with people fighting, killing, dying. The Guardians of the Garden living together with the sole purpose of protecting… Miriam is an outsider among her own people, Seth is a protector from outside. Saving his little sister from a painful death is his only focus despite what Miriam makes him feel. I am SO excited for the next book!

Dre certainly has no reason to return to her childhood home. Loyalty to her best friend is the only thing that could do it. The problem is that the main thing that kept her away is still there, too. Imagine being faced with the one man that you ever let close who screwed up your lives so drastically that you left. Would you still love him? Does Dre? This is a fantastic story about a beautiful but broken main character and the bravery she finds to face what broke her.

A short and sweet story of a young woman desperately trying to catch the eye of her crush Tuck by acting like spoiled little daddy’s girl. Sadly, despite Tuck’s extreme attraction to her, it has the opposite effect. When her dad throws them together the fireworks fly. A satisfying read that makes you wish for a happy ending!

Braxton is one of those guys that doesn’t let his emotions into his sex life. Phoenix is beautiful and he falls almost instantly. You can feel the wonder he feels as he realizes how deeply he feels for her. She is his love but also his destruction.
I was swept up in the deep emotions of this novel. Definately a worthy read!

A haunting tale with a twisting story that kept me guessing until the very end! Tessa’s marriage is CERTAINLY not what she thought it was. History comes back to literally haunt her with a very persistent ghost who has something it MUST communicate to her! Secrets. Lies. Such an intriguing mystery that kept me turning pages well into the night!

Gunner: An Eidolon Black Ops Novel by Maddie Wade- Review by Krista Vaughan

This is the first novel I have read of the Eidolon Black ops series and I will DEFINITELY be reading them ALL! The introductions to the other men of Eidolon have me itching to read the rest of the series!

Gunner was a member of this elite group until he was forced to betray them in an act of desperation. The loss of the tight-knit relationship he had with the men leaves him guilty and lost. The guilt that Gunner lives with made my heart ache. He doesn’t seem to realize how amazing he is in his strength and loyalty. When he comes across Lacey again after having met her once before, I was hopeful that she would help him. The passion they have held for each other was something that leapt of off the pages at you!

This is a MUST READ! Don’t miss out on the excitement and passion of Gunner and Lacey!

Kayla and Jaxon never really got the chance to experience the love they had for each other before being torn apart by tragedy and secrets. They both carry pain and regret for lost chances; then they find themselves thrown together again.

I loved this novel! The characters are so real I could FEEL their passion and regret. Are they ever HOT together! The tension leaves you hoping they can move forward to explore what could be! A must read!

Hell In A Handbasket (Life is Hell Book 3) by Naomi Valkyrie – Review by Krista Vaughan

4 stars

The third book in the series, “Hell in a Handbasket” follows Teivel and Oren as they try to solve the mystery of an adorable hybrid baby. A demon with an attitude and a deputy with demon hunter heritage… Both inexplicably drawn to each other.

This was a fast-paced, satisfying read with fun characters with LGBTQ relationship dynamics. It is so great to see more of these characters and storylines! Such a great read!
