Who doesn’t love a good romance where the girl gets to mean her rock star crush??? This story was a great clean romance for teens and adults alike. This is my first book by this author and I can’t wait to read more in this series. I absolutely loved the story, the characters and relationships.

This story was sadly not my jam. I thought it was very cute and sweet. It was such a wonderful concept, but I think that if a few things were changed, it could be much better. This book is PERFECT for a 12-15 age group, it is a very clean and easy read. Although this story was not for me, I do believe that someone in a younger age group would absolutely love it. With that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed the read.

Can Dreams Come True? (The Cecily Taylor Series Book 1) by Krysten Lindsay Hager . This is such a good romance. Its the story of Cecily Taylor who is in first real relationship and she thinks Zach may be the one. When she tries out for a part in a music video and gets it she is shocked and her friends are all jealous. Andrew Holiday is a huge star and starring in this video is amazing. The more time she spends with Andrew the more she likes him. Zach is extremely upset about the time she spends with him and becomes more irrational by the minute. He ends up acting like a fool pushing Cecily away. Andrew really likes Cecily and thinks she is so much more than those air headed models he’s been seeing. Will they have a future together? Read this sweet young adult romance to find out!

Krysten Lindsay Hager is a new author to me. Her writing style gripped me from the first page to the last page. This is a fast paced YA book. It kept me going because I needed to know what was coming up next. The characters were tuned into the story. They were complex and really enhanced the story. I could vision them in my mind’s eye because they were so realistic. Cecily is the lead female character and Andrew is the lead male character. Cecily was doing her friend a favor and accompanied her to a video audition. Cecily did not even want to be in the video but the director did. This put some ill feelings from her friend and with all the attention made her boyfriend become jealous. Andrew being the lead singer of the group has a crush on Cecily. How does Cecily feel about the video? Does Cecily and her boyfriend fall apart? Does Andrew come to help Cecily get through these trying times? Does the small town girl and the big time guy? I highly recommend this book to find out the answers to these questions and more.

(The Cecily Taylor Series Book 1) by Krysten Lindsay Hager – Review by Erica Fish
I’m not sure how I would feel if I got the chance to meet a celebrity that I had been a diehard fan of, I don’t really have a celebrity icon that I like that much I don’t think. But Cecily does, and that amaze-balls icon for her is the singer Andrew Holiday. At first, I was a little annoyed, I know other people who have read this didn’t like Zach and his jealousy, and I will admit that he was a tad arsy, but I think I would be a little annoyed if the person I loved was spending a lot of time with a sexy celebrity who was clearly into them. I mean Andrew makes it known that he wants her, if not explicitly but implicitly, and I just thought that Zach got a bad deal. Doesn’t condone what he does, but still, I felt proper sorry for him at first. Cecily was okay, I’m not sure how I felt about her as a protagonist if I’m honest, think this was geared more towards young adults, and as such, the character just didn’t really resonate with me. Still, it had the whole, normal girl being thrust into the sparkly world of stardom and receiving the attention of a hot celebrity who thinks that she is the best thing since sliced bread, vibe. I would have my phases when I was younger, of eating books like this up, and this is one of the better-written ones. Hager has a nice turn of phrase that made me want to keep reading, even if I wasn’t wholly invested in the story. Young adults will love this and anyone else looking for a nice romance that has plenty of feels, and the rosiness of unbelievable dreams coming true.

(The Cecily Taylor Series Book 1) by Krysten Lindsay Hager – Review by Dani Dando
Cecily feels like she has it all: great best friends, the beginnings of a career as a model/actress, and she’s dating her favorite singer, Andrew Holiday. Then Cecily’s best friend Lila begins to ditch her every time Lila’s boyfriend calls. Cecily feels lost, but she and Andrew begin connecting more and she’s never been in a relationship where she felt so understood. Andrew even begins to confide in her about his anxiety. Soon Cecily experiences her own anxiety on a magazine photo shoot, but she manages to impress the magazine staff. Just when it seems like all her dreams are coming true, everything comes crashing down when a photo of Andrew with a female celebrity appears online. He swears nothing happened, but Cecily is crushed. She feels like she’s lost two of the people closest to her.
Was her perfect relationship real or was she in over her head?

I really enjoyed this book, I was pulled right in from the beginning. Cecily has her first boyfriend and she is asked to go with her friend to possibly meet her favorite singer during an audition. While there Andrew seems to take a liking to Cecily and she also gets a part in the video. She is super excited and shares the news with her boyfriend, who doesn’t seem very excited for her. While doing the video she ends up having a nice conversation with Andrew and gets to see a different side to him.
Overall I really enjoyed this book. We continue to watch Cecily have issues with her boyfriend and his jealousy. And she starts a friendship with Andrew. Things take a twist and things get even more interesting. All of the characters were great although a couple of Cecily’s friends were so so for me and the boyfriend frustrated me on so many levels. If you’re looking for a good read 1-click and get started today. I look forward to reading more from this author and series.

Krysten Lindsay Hager has done an amazing job with book one in the Cecily Taylor series. For any one that has, had or will ever have a celebrity or rock star crush this is this book for you. The characters ate so relatable and the plot was amazing. I believe many people can relate to Cecily in his she feels misunderstood and kind of on the outside. If you are older the book will have you reminiscing of a time past and for the young adult reader it is a great coming of age story. Cecily will hit you right in the heart, she will have you falling for your celebrity/rockstar crush all over again. Can’t wait to see what is to come for Cecily.

Can Dreams Come True? (The Cecily Taylor Series Book 1) by Krysten Lindsay Hager is a sweet coming of age story and will definitely suit the YA readers. The story has all the usual angst and drama, insecurity and anxiety in that time in young adult lives where everything is felt so much more harshly and dramatically. The narrative is well written and the plot flows well that will keep a younger reader engaged.
Overall, Krysten has written a sweet romance that is cute and will be enjoyed by the teens who love a girl meets crush story line. Reviewed by @jennadb

This book was intriguing from the very beginning. It was my first Krysten Lindsay Hager novel and I enjoyed it. It did not go as I expected but was definitely a fun read. This was a great teen read that is good for all audiences as it is somewhat your typical YA novel. Quick, easy read. Very enjoyable. I enjoyed how the characters were written, especially the relationship between Cecily and her parents. You don’t always see that positivity in YA novels. I would say that this is perfect for a quick, enjoyable summer read.

Krysten Lindsay Hager is a new author to me and this book could not have been a better way to be introduced to her writing. I love firstmost how this book draws you in as even an older adult and makes you long for the younger years, as much as it can entertain the young coming of age teens. I was pleasantly surprised with how much this book made me feel nostalgic and miss those days when my only thoughts and concerns were school and boys. In Can Dreams Come True we follow Cecily as she struggles to follow and understand her heart and what it truly wants when all her other dreams are coming true. I love how you could feel and relate to her on such a personal level and she found her way and I was pleased with how the ending came together in a non cheesy way. I will definitely be back for more in book two to see what will come next.

Can Dreams Come True? (The Cecily Taylor Series Book 1) by Kristen Lindsay Hager is a sweet and light young adult story about coming of age, falling in love for the first time, navigating through the plethora of emotions attached to growing up and giving your heart to another. Discovering your soulmate is a major part of your life and Cecily and Andrew’s journey is memorable and heartwarming. A girl who finds herself thrown into the path of her first crush is a dream come true, and reading their story was a nice change from the steamy and raunchy stories I love to read. This story was a refreshing step back into the world of first love and all the dramatic emotions involved in that journey. 4 stars.

Her favorite singer, Andrew Holiday, is holding auditions for his new music video, and Cecily takes a chance. Although she has to contend with the jealousies of her boyfriend and friend, she lands the role in the video and gets closer than she ever expected to Andrew Holiday. Can Dreams Come True? (Book One of the Cecily Taylor Series) by Krysten Lindsay Hager was a really good read! I’m not going to lie. It wasn’t until about the halfway point that I really got into this book. It felt kind of drawn out in a way, but also very naive. Cecily seemed like such a pushover, and very docile I think is the word? I felt like she let things go too far with Zach while he pushed her for the same exact thing. It seemed very toxic to me, and I didn’t enjoy that relationship at all. However, once Cecily started kind of speaking and saying what she actually thought, she became much more likeable. Overall though this was a really good read and I would definitely recommend it as a coming of age story and I can’t wait to read the next installment!

When her friend goes to audition for a part in his video, Cecily goes along and ends up getting a part. Which leaves not only her friend, but her boyfriend extremely upset. I must say, I love this book. In fact, I want to re-read it that’s how much I loved it. I have never read a book by this author before but I’m planning to check out some of her others to see if I like them as much as I did this one. I am a sucker for coming of age stories about love. Especially first loves. And this one topped the charts for me. The writing is phenomenal. It was so easy to read and follow along and I refused to put it down because I was page turning so fast. I felt that she did a good job making the characters very familiar to me. I was quickly teleported back to my own teenage years and all the angst that plagued me during that time. I could sympathize with the main character in wanting to be understood and accepted for who and what I am, but instead feeling sad and rejected by everyone around me. I was extremely satisfied with the ending and could see this being made into a young adult romantic movie. In fact, I could see this being another Sixteen Candles movie by John Hughes. I look forward to following along with this story in the next chapter of their book. I highly recommend reading this book. In fact, I would say, this would be a great book for a mother and her daughter to read together and discuss. I could also see this being chosen as a young adult book club read. It’s well worth picking up and discussing.

Can Dreams Come True by Krysten Lindsay Hager is book one of The Cecily Taylor series. This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I wasn’t disappointed. This book is a YA coming of age story.
Cecily’s story was sweet but was definitely filled with just enough drama and angst to keep you intrigued. The book is so well written that you can feel the emotions as though they are yours. Cecily is so relatable to really any age. She just longs to feel accepted, as I think many of us do. I wasn’t sure what to expect going on to this book but I’m glad I read it! I can’t wait to see what book two has in store!

(The Cecily Taylor Series Book 1) by Krysten Lindsay Hager – Review by Angelina Frazzini
When you are face to face with you idol absolutely love, will they live up to the expectation or crush your heart?
Cecily is full of excitement for her friend who is going to audition for a music video, but when that pop star is your heartthrob, oh my how can this day get any better. The production team are looking for the girl next-door not the new big thing and approach Cecily to do the video, when she accepts has she put a wedge between her friend.
As the video goes on she feels more and more comfortable with Andrew Holliday who would have thought her and this big pop star but as they start spending more time together she finds out there is more to this person than meets the eye. She feels he knows her better than anyone else and that becomes unnerving.
As soon Andrew sees her he knows she is special but with her having a boyfriend already can he play the friend in this relationship and wait until there is an opening to show her more than the pop star.
This is the first book I have read by this author and really enjoyed the teen angst and flowing story between these characters. The story is full of the what ifs, jealousy and the pains of growing up, making mistakes and trying to figure out what you want to achieve in both love and life.
The characters were well written and I really enjoyed the interactions between the characters, the soul searching had an element of try honesty and I felt jumping in with answers and questions along the way. For a first book in this series it opens the window to this series for me to want to read books and see where the author takes this great start.

Can Dreams Come True by Krysten Lindsay Hager a fair four-star read. This is number one in the Cecily Taylor series and Cecily herself is a fun character to get to know, she was the perfect palate cleanser after the story I read previous to this one, as that was angst ridden and this was so the opposite, just a nice warm romance with some funny drama moments that swept the story along. Its full of teenage angst and reminds you of being that age, and how every moment swept you up and what I wouldn’t do for my teenage heartthrob to pick me. I am excited to find out what will happen next with Cecily and Andrew and not the other one.

This is my first book by this author and I look forward to seeing what is next for her. This is a sweet romance story that kept me turning pages to the end. It is fast paced and I read this book in one sitting. This author’s attention to details made the characters feel realistic. I had no problems relating to them. This is a story about Cecily. She wants to be an actress and also has a huge crush on Andrew who is a singer. When an opportunity comes up for her to be a part of his music video she jumps at it. As the story goes things with Cecily and her current boyfriend start falling apart. There is an attraction between them from the beginning, will Andrew pick up Cecily as she falls? I enjoyed the chemistry between these two. It made the story fun and easy to read. They are truly great characters that just made the story for me. I highly recommend this book.

Can Dreams Come True by Krysten Lindsay Hager is a sweet coming of age story for young adults. Thinking back to when I was a teen, I could totally relate to Cecily who feels like she doesn’t quite fit in with her friends and classmate. Cecily’s experience of her first relationship with a boy and the issues that pop up are spot on. I liked the fact that Cicely was willing to go to an audition to help a friend and ended up getting a gig herself. I do think that Andrew and Cecily had a great connection from having similar interests and beliefs which helped. Overall, the story was well written and I would definitely be recommending this book to my daughter.

Can Dreams Come True? is the first book in The Cecily Taylor series by Krysten Lindsay Hager. It is a cute, sweet, YA, coming of age story- about friendship, crushes, first love, teenage angst, jealousy, and following your dreams. This is my first read from Ms. Hager, so I was interested to see what this was all about. It is definitely a YA story- as it is quite sweet and a little ‘fluffy’. As I have grown older, I have found that I like my stories a little ‘meatier’- but still enjoy exploring YA stories as they are usually fairly light and easy to read and make great ‘palate cleansers’. This is definitely the case here- a lovely story with just enough angst and drama to keep things interesting and well suited for the younger reader. I am interested to see what happens in the next instalment- following Cecily and Andrew on to the next stage of their relationship with “In Over Her Head: Lights, Camera, Anxiety”(Book #2).

(The Cecily Taylor Series Book 1) by Krysten Lindsay Hager – Review by Angela Hayes
What if you had the opportunity to live out your dreams? Cecily has always had a huge crush on singer Andrew Holiday and she wants to be an actress, so she tags along when her friend auditions for his new video. However, the director isn’t looking for an actress, but rather the girl next door—and so is Andrew. Cecily gets a part in the video and all of Andrew’s attention on the set. Her friend begins to see red and Cecily’s boyfriend is seeing green—as in major jealousy. A misunderstanding leaves Cecily and her boyfriend on the outs and Andrew hopes to pick up the pieces as he’s looking for someone more stable in his life than the models he’s dated. Soon Cecily begins to realize Andrew understands her more than her small-town boyfriend—but can her perfect love match really be her favorite rock star?
