By: Heather Silvio
5 out of 5 stars

The story Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency # 5) by Heather Silvio is the next wonderful book in a series that I have loved since I read the first story. This book pulled me in from the very beginning and I found myself not wanting to put it down until I had read the final page. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Barbara Knollman and Liam Collins. Barbara is a demon. She has precognitive abilities that have saved her from an attack. She then finds herself helping out Liam in trying to stop a supernatural being. Liam is an angel. He has gotten Barbara to team up with the Paranormal Talent Agency. Will they be able to stop the supernatural being? Will Barbara find herself opening up her heart to love? Read this book to find out. I loved reading about the additional characters. Most are familiar as they have been brought forward from the other stories. I have always loved books that include the paranormal and this is a very good example of the reason why. The author has created an interesting and entertaining story with unforgettable characters. This is a book I would highly recommend reading.

The story Queen of the Warrior Bees (Natural Forces Book 1) by Jean Gill is what I would consider a YA/fantasy book. It is a story that I found myself captivated by both the storyline and the characters. It drew me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until I had finished the final page. I loved reading about the character of Mielitta. She is a young girl who finds herself in the forbidden Forest where her scent angers thousands of bees. She survives the attack, however, has changed. Mielitta is someone that I found others look down on. She doesn’t seem to have a place in the Citadel where she lives. I grew to care about Mielitta with each chapter that I read. She is also a character that doesn’t dismiss when new experiences happen to her. She tries to understand them. There is a rift that is widening between The Forest and The Citadel. What does the future hold? What does the future hold for Mielitta? Read this book to find out. I have always been in awe of authors that write fantasy stories. They create new worlds with their own rules and guidelines. This book is a perfect example of why I love fantasy books. My hat off to the author for creating a tale that is not only fun to read but was thoughtful as well. I enjoyed reading about the additional characters. Some of them are complex and I wasn’t quite sure what their motives were. Others were very upfront as to their agenda. Don’t miss out reading an amazing story. Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars

The story The Fish That Climbed a Tree by Kevin Ansbro is a book that I enjoyed reading. It is a story that is interesting and intriguing with characters that I found to be unforgettable and come alive on the pages. I enjoyed reading about Reverend Ulysses Drummond and his son, Henry. Reverend Drummond is brutally murdered and then finds himself on a journey in the afterlife. Henry is a character that loves books, loves to write, and has a kind heart. I loved Henry’s character as even as the world holds those who are manipulative and just plain evil his actions are one that would rather help someone than hurt them. What does the afterlife hold for Reverend Drummond? What does life hold for Henry? Read this book to find out. This story has times when I was wondering what was going to happen next. It also has characters that I would put in two different categories. One set of characters are helpful and good, the others are selfish, and I would call them “the bad guys.” Each one has their own part in the story, and it would not be the same reading experience without any of them. There is intense dialogue. There are moments that touched my heart and others that made me take a pause and think. Don’t miss out on a wonderful story that will catch your attention and I was not able to put down until the final page. Highly recommended.
