I love a good sports romance and this one absolutely hit the spot! Kendall was an amazing female protagonist and a very powerful woman. Pete was hot and sweet. A textbook example of a book boyfriend if there ever was one. I loved that Kendall didn’t hide her intentions and that there wasn’t a lot of monologuing and pining. Sometimes you just want to get to the action! Overall I would say this is a solid sports romance, perfect for fans of Elle Kennedy and Lyssa Kay Adams! I’ll definitely be checking out other books by this author!

This book sounded so promising. I love a good brother’s best friend forbidden romance. This story follows Kendall who stays at her brother’s best friend Pete’s house, who she has crushed on since she was 12, for a week while she’s in town for work. One of the reasons she agrees to stay with him when her brother recommends it is that she sees this as an opportunity to play out her fantasy and sleep with him that week to “get him out of her system” after years of silently loving him. This is where things went south for me. It was just a few pages in, and she was immediately propositioning him with sex and trying to convince him to sleep with her even though he was declining it. I did not like the way she kept pushing it and did not seem to take no for an answer. If the roles were reversed and the man was pushing the subject it would NOT be okay. There was no romance between them and there were no reasons for us to understand why she has loved him since she was 12 besides his good looks. Nothing he did was swoon-worthy and their relationship was so surface level. I enjoyed Kendall’s work-life storyline, her love of sports, and her relationship with her friends, but I was really missing a lot in the romance department. There was also a lot of miscommunication and misunderstandings. Neither of them was completely honest with the other, which caused all their issues. The back and forth with emotions and miscommunication was very confusing and disappointing for me. This had decent moments but was overall a miss for me. It lacked genuine romance and substance for me to cling to.

Everything to Me by Lauren Fraser is book 2 in the Playing for Keeps Series. I haven’t read the first book, and fortunately, it can be read as a complete standalone!
It is one of my favorite genres, a best friend’s sister sports romance. Their chemistry gave me butterflies, and their romance gave me all the feels. One thing that was quite different to me, but in a very good way, was that Fraser wasted no time in these two acting on their feelings for one another, of course, more lust in the beginning but it doesn’t take long for the feelings to develop.
I loved both Kendall and Pete. Kendall wasn’t just beautiful, but she was also independent and intelligent. She knows what she wants both professionally and personally. However, there was a softer side to her. She was very vulnerable in love for Pete, and Fraser did a great job of showing that.
While Pete had the typical reputation with the ladies, he really was a softie. He used his talent and wealth to help others in any way he could. He valued his friendships, especially with Kendall’s brother, and it was so much fun watching him fall in love with Kendall.
While this is a genre that can be overdone, Fraser made it fresh and witty. For instance, there was steam and spice, but that wasn’t the gist of the story. She focused more on the emotional attachment between Kendall and Pete rather than it just being about the sex. It was a perfect combination of the two. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to discover this new author. I’m looking forward to reading more from her.

Lauren Fraser is a first time author for me and I was impressed. The main content of Everything To Me started quickly without a whole lot of fluff to distract the reader. I love the sports element included in this book, and the fact the main character, Kendall, is a fan of baseball creates a very complex character. There wasn’t a whole lot of delving into the lives of the secondary characters, but the two main characters were well developed and realistic. I want to be friends with a couple like Kendall and Pete! Lauren Fraser did a great job keeping the “brother’s best friend” genre from being too overplayed by focusing more on the connection and emotions between Pete and Kendall. Both of the main characters, but especially Pete, went through a lot of emotional changes and growth throughout the book. Fraser does a wonderful job of creating a quick, witty, emotional read while allowing the reader to still connect with the characters. I can’t wait to read more books by Lauren Fraser.

this is a mix of genres, off limits, best friends little sister, childhood crush, sports romance. This Story hits all the highs and a few lows. The “friends with benefits” thing they try is classic in a hope noone finds out kind of way. They are an adorable couple and the steamy moments are truly STEAMY. this is a great read.

I loved Kendall and Pete’s story! Their transition from old friends to lovers was steamy. I found myself laughing out loud several times with this book, and I truly appreciate that. I don’t find that too often with steamy romance novels. Each of the main characters was so well written, I felt like I was watching everything play out right before my eyes. From the awkward preteen/teen years of lust to grown adults indulging and falling for each other. I need more well written books like this in my life! I will definitely be reading more from this author!

I have enjoyed books this author has written. I really felt the connection with this none though. The characters really came to life with everything that was going on in their lives, and were all connectable in some way, shape, or form. I really enjoyed this one and growing with the characters! Amazing writing!
I do love my sports, so of course I enjoyed the play of sports used as a connection barrier sort to say in this wonderful book. I loved the chemistry between Kendall and Pete. I found Pete had a lot of character growth through out the book, with his mind heart, and personality. Kendall was a awesome character you could feel her attraction to Pete, but yet at the same time the care for her brother she didn’t want to mess up her relationship with him or Pete’s friendship with him. The book was a deep dive of emotions, and really made me feel things. It was a great read! To put into simple words, I freaking loved it!
Again, to make myself clear this is an amazing book written by an amazing author. I loved it truly, the characters, the plot , etc.! A must read all around! High recommendation from myself! Don’t miss out!

This was such a sweet romance. I couldn’t set this book down once I picked it up. I really enjoyed watching how Kendall’s childhood crush is all grown up and definitely not looking at her as a kid sister of his best friend anymore. She thought that things would have changed now that they’re all grown up but if anything she’s even more attracted to him. While she’s staying with him she decides to go for it and see if she can get him out of her system once and for all. But is a casual relationship going to be enough for either of them? They’re going to have to work around more than a few obstacles if they want to make a serious relationship work. There are so many sweet, steamy moments and more than a few that made me swoon! This is one book that you’re definitely not going to want to miss.

What would you do if you were staying with your crush for a week? Try and seduce them or act like you’re over them? Kendall Graves plans to seduce her childhood crush pro baseballer Pete Saunders. Pete still thinks of Kendall as a cute, but awkward teen until she shows up at his door. What has he gotten himself into? How will he keep his hands to himself for a week? A good book that can be read in one sitting.

4/5 stars I really enjoyed this book! Kendall always had eyes for Pete but he would never cross the line due to his friendship with her brother, Ryan. Kendall stays with him for a week for work, and things completely change between the two. This book was a good read. My favorite character was Ryan however, lol. I would love to read a book with him as the main character.

I really did enjoy this book however I think we could have been given more! Kendall is amazing. Its refreshing to have a strong female character that knows what she wants and goes after it versus being the damsel in distress. Kendall knows where she stands and doesn’t need anyones approval! Pete is everything Kendall can ask for but there’s one problem. She’s the best friends little sister, how does that work?!? Is it worth the risk? Can it really work? Pete doesn’t catch on as fast as we would like him to but if he caught on right away we wouldn’t have a story! I do wish the scenes were a little steamier!

This was a great 5 star read. Kendall is in town for work and Pete opens his home to her. What he doesn’t expect is how grown up Kendall has become and how tempting she is. Kendall has had a crush on Pete since she was really young. Problem is he is her brother’s best friend.
Lets just say that Kendall notices something in Pete and she takes advantage of it. And boy does it really go her way. They agree to a casual thing while she is in town, but can they keep their feelings out of it? What will happen if her brother finds out?
Overall I really enjoyed the book. We have Pete who is a hot as heck baseball player who isn’t looking for commitment and Kendall who finally has the chance to go for what she has wanted for years, loved her braveness and strength. We get some steamy moments. The author pulls you in with her writing, I was done before I knew it. I like that the characters jumped right into things we didn’t have a should we or shouldn’t we for half the book type thing. I look forward to reading more from the series and author. 1-click and get started today.

This is a great romance story that has strong characters. They have an amazing connection between them. The chemistry is there right from the start and only seems to grow. This book is the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone. It is a fun romance story that has a bit of sexy thrown in. I thought it was easy to read but overall really enjoyable. I think this will be a great series to get stuck into.

This is a fun sports romance story. I didn’t realise it was the second book to the series until I was half way through. I haven’t read the first book but I think that it would have been better if I had as I felt like somethings were missing. The storyline is enjoyable and well written with lots of chemistry but I would have liked a bit more steam. I’m definitely going to have to go back and read it and then re-evaluate this one. It is a quick read a brother’s best friend story when the annoying little sister has grown up. I enjoyed that it was written in multiple POV because you get to know more about the characters. This is the first book that I have read by Lauren and I look forward to reading more of her work.

I really enjoyed this romance story. It is a fast paced romance and I loved the chemistry between the two characters. Kendall is going to stay with her brothers best mate Pete. Kendall has had a crush on Pete every since she can remember and she know feels that it’s time to put that crush to bed literally and figuratively. Pete has only ever seen Kendall as his best mates little sister. So when a stunning woman turns up on his doorstep he knows he will have a hard time not touching his best mates sister. Will they give in to temptation? How will Kendall’s brother react if he finds out? Will this week of fun finally get Pete out of Kendall’s system or will something happen that changes them both forever?

A sexy, fun read! I really enjoyed Kendall and Pete’s story and seeing a childhood crush turned adult romance.
The author does a wonderful job encapsulating the story and point of view of each of the main characters. I really enjoyed that Pete’s point of view felt more authentic to a man’s point of view in contrast to other romances of read. The story was full of steamy moments, as well as both funny and serious moments rounding out the book very well. This was an enjoyable page-turner that I would highly recommend.

Kendall and Pete are on dangerous ground here. She’s Pete’s best friend’s sister and off-limits according to the bro code. She’s always had a crush on him. She wants a romp. Like Vegas, what happens the week she’s at his place, stays there. Oh, can they keep it casual? This was a fun romance that will make you giggle while fanning yourself because there’s a little steam. Oh mamma, he’s a hot pro athlete. Let’s play!! Entertaining and flirty are two words that come to mind to describe this book. I loved Kendall and Pete. They try to remain good but being naughty sounds so much better. The whole tone of the story is just perky and fun. It’s a quick weekend read that fits right in there when you need a quickie to read. Loved it!

This book is book two of the series. This book can be read as a standalone. I read this book before book one but I’m definitely going to have to go back and read it because this one was great!!
Kendall has been in love with Pete forever. The only problems with that are he is her brothers best friend and he doesn’t feel the same about her. Kendall needs somewhere to stay while she’s in town and her brother suggested staying with Pete. She figures this is her chance to get him out of her system once and for all. She didn’t count on the chemistry to be out of this world.
I really enjoyed the banter between Kendall and Pete. She definitely walked onto the scene letting him know what she wanted. She definitely had a take charge attitude and it was refreshing! Pete is sweet and doesn’t seem to realize it too often. I enjoyed his character. This was a quick read. I didn’t want to put it down!

Everything to Me is the second book in the Playing for Keeps Series .This is a Sports Romance story that is a perfect rainy afternoon read. I pretty devoured this book in one sitting. I was pulled in from the beginning and didn’t want to put it down. This is a fairly new author to me but I have read other books by her. This is a story about Kendal and Pete . She’s had a crush on him forever and he’s her brothers best friend. So of course when she’s in need of a place to stay he agrees to let her stay there. These two have great chemistry between them. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait for more

I enjoy her writing skills as well as her attention to details that make her stories pop. This book is no different. I was pulled into the story from the start. The characters are relatable and they bring the story to life. They are engaging and have great growth throughout the story. This is a story about Kendall and Pete. He is her brother’s best friend forever and when she needs a place to stay while she is in town. Why not, right? You will need to read this book to find out what happens next with these two. They have great chemistry and are my favorite. They made the story easy and entertaining to read. I highly recommend this book

I always like books like this one. The story of Kendall and Pete was good and had just the right amount of spice. I definitely think I needed the first book since there were some situations that were alluded to but it didn’t take too much away. As nice as Pete was, I had a difficult time connecting to his character. I enjoyed the storyline and it was a nice, quick read.

Kendall has known Pete most of her life and had a crush on him just about as long. He is a friend of her brothers, and both are professional baseball players. Kendall works in advertising and is visiting the area that Pete lives. Her brother suggests that instead of staying in a hotel, Kendall should stay with Pete. Kendall and Pete decide to use their week together to “get each other out of their system”…but the plan backfires. There is plenty of hot sex, but the biggest question still remains, can the two make a real relationship when the chips are down.

She’s off-limits, but this pro-baller has never been one to follow rules.
Kendall Graves has been in love with her brother’s friend for as long as she can remember. Unfortunately, he’s never felt the same about her. She’s always just been his buddy’s annoying little sister. Until now.
When professional baseball player, Pete Saunders, agrees to let Kendall stay with him while she’s in town, it never occurred to him she’d tempt him to break bro-code. Rule number 1- don’t touch your friend/teammate’s sister. Rule number 2- see rule number 1.
But this Kendall is a whole lot different from the awkward little sister he remembered. This Kendall is sexy, stacked, and so freaking smart. It’s enough to tempt anyone. And what his buddy doesn’t know won’t hurt him.
Casual he can do. Relationships? Not a chance. True love is just some crap people tell themselves so they don’t have to be alone. He’s not about to blow-up his whole life over something temporary. So why can’t he stop thinking about her?
Lauren has always been a dreamer, weaving stories to keep herself entertained. Through her stories she can travel anywhere in the world and money is not an object. Now, who wouldn’t want that? Unfortunately, the demands of the real world pushed her dreams to the side for a while.
After talking to her children about going after what they wanted and not letting fear stand in their way, she realized she needed to lead by example and chase her own dreams. She enjoys going hiking, camping and paddleboarding with her husband and two daughters.
