Sweet contemporary clean Christmas romance and great story. I really enjoyed CC and Reese’s stories as they come together. CC crashing a Tesla in a fence and Reese coming along as it is his ranch that CC crashes into. Both CC and Reese have trust issues and as you read the book you come to find out why and their pasts. I can say this book is very heartwarming, endearing that also includes healing from both characters. I felt my heart truly rooting for both of them.

Cross-Country Christmas By Laurie Lewis

The book was fantastic. I am a huge romance fan, and I love books that are clean and dirty :). This book was clean with no dirty scenes, I know some like that, and some do not. It even had biblical references a few times. However, once I started reading this book, I could not put it down, and that says something with my recently busy schedule. This book has two main characters who have pasts that affect them and their decisions, so I knew there were going to be ups and downs related to that, but even with it being predictable in some areas I loved every second that I spent reading this book. I will be recommending this book to my friends!

Though this book starts off rocky, it easily takes a turn for the better as these characters get better acquainted. I love their chemistry but hate when they try to tear into one another but love how or when they get closer. What keeps me glued to this read is the positive and warm energy that warms your heart as these characters get closer. A real page-turner as obstacles derail their experience but they always find love back with one another. These always make for the best love stories, at least for me.

Laurie Lewis just captivated me with this incredible romance. Great for getting cozy on a cool almost winter day. This book is a perfect example of what most wish for in life. It truly leaves you feeling so many emotions. I am often asked why I have a selection of books kept set aside if I have already read them, and I think its just books that made me feel everything as if I was the main character, or that I just simply didn’t want it to end. Whatever the case may be, this book is being added into that collection that I will read over and over for a very long time. Add it to your library quick, you won’t be disappointed.

I try to get as many Christmas reads into my holiday season as possible and this one couldn’t have been a better way to kick off my list. I really loved this cozy up and warm your heart type of read that Laurie Lewis has penned in Cross-Country Christmas. We get the exciting at times, and soul crushing at others love story of CC and Reese. These two show us the meaning of Christmas as well as romance, love, hope, new beginnings and so much more. I really loved the world building as well and felt transported to a magical destination sometimes. I often wanted to close my eyes and envision myself right where CC and Reese were walking or curled up at the moment. I look forward to seeing what will come next in the series.

This was an amazing romance read, on more than level for me. The writing and how the story plays out was more than amazing for sure! It was heart felt with a lot of emotion and beautiful in every which way. The moments that brought the main two souls together truly was a fated meet and beautiful destiny.

For me I truly loved how these two souls, CC and Reese meet under circumstances that were truly less than ideal, neither of them wanted to take refuge with Reese, but perhaps destiny had other plans. They are stuck together, but maybe this could be a new light both of them needed, but never knew they wanted. Through out my reading I watched not only themselves grow, but also their hearts. Things came to light with a lot of emotion and it really added to the story, it was so beautiful, and amazing to watch this romance to take flight. The story was very well done and very blissful I dare to say!

For me I loved most was the emotions that were behind the two souls and why at first glance they were the way they were. It really made the story real, and true in every way. I loved this story, it was just what I needed, I finished it smiling with great joy! A must read for sure, a very high recommendation from me!

I’m a sucker for Hallmark holiday romances so this book was right up my alley. The twist with CC’s upbringing made me grab my chest because I did not see that coming. This book did make me want a Tesla, lol. It’s a clean romance, but it wasn’t cheesy. I cannot wait for the holiday season after reading this book!

This was a truly enjoyable romance. The story of CC and Reese requires some compassion and understanding because both have been hurt in the past. It makes them a little skittish when it comes to the possibility of another relationship. Starting right off with the accident that makes CC basically a “snow covered salt lick,” these two are testing each other out and seeing if they want to give in. CC loves Christmas. Reese has his reasons for feeling the way he does. But eventually, the two come together stronger. There adventures leave you chuckling and tearing up a bit. Come along and check this quick and easy Christmas read out. You’ll enjoy it as much as I did. Highly recommend.

So, this is the first book I have read by this author, so I wasn’t quite sure what I was getting my hands on. However, I am a sucker for Christmas stories and a friend was reading it, so I thought why not. I’m glad that I did. Since I have finished this book we have had a couple of conversations over coffee about how much we loved it. It’s a wonderful, heartwarming family story. The holidays seem to be a time in the lives of family with strained relationships that can make it hard on everyone. And sometimes the holidays are just what’s needed to bring families back together. This book is filled with some of that sort of family drama and how love can help mend broken hearts. This is a very “clean” book in that there is no bad language or sexual filled scenes. There are some religious undertones in the story but nothing more than some scriptures. I liked this book and recommended it for anyone looking for a charming Christmas story.

My heart needed this beautiful story! CC is on a journey of self healing when she crashes her car into a cattle fence in a remote town. Reese owns the fence and rescues CC, offering her shelter in his home. While awaiting the repair of her car, CC and Reese find themselves each facing a difficult past, thus putting distance between them.

I loved CC’s playful, Christmas loving character. The way that she tried to lighten the environment and make it magical is so relatable. I am a lover of Christmas Spirit and would want to create Christmas joy just like she did. Reese seemed to be the strong and silent type, but his story is so complex, it was wonderful to see his layers revealed. I love that Laurie Lewis was able to sprinkle a little faith in there, and bring the love of God to her characters! This story made me feel like I was watching a movie, like I was actually there with Reese and CC. I would love to see their story continue, I NEED to know what happens next!

Cross-Country Christmas by Laurie Lewis is a sweet and heart-warming romance that was fun to read. What a better time and place to set a Christmas story with cowboys and a ranch. I enjoyed the teasing banter and witty humour between our characters which was fun to read. This story has a little bit of everything with hope and forgiveness, tragedy and pain, family and friendship, hurt and love.
The story is about two souls healing and second changes but to get there there needs to be forgiveness. As much as I liked this story there are a few unanswered questions.
CC is trying hard to leave her past behind her and make a new start for herself. Reese has been burnt and has trust issues. So when they literally crash into each other’s lives they need to heal and maybe, just maybe than can do it together.

CC is lost and alone, wanting to change her life she decides to take a journey her father had dreamed about but sadly passed away before he got to take it. So when a opportunity comes along to deliver a Tesla car to Las Vegas she jumps at the chance.

Reese is broken, with a failed marriage behind him and his families responsibilities he is just surviving so when he and his friend are riding the fence line and spot a Tesla in the middle of his fence his anger rises, but when he looks into the car and sees an angel, can she melt his cold, broken heart.

They two of them have there demons but can they overcome them and find love and light in each other.

This is the first book I have read by this author and loved it, it’s not often you get a romance book which is about emotions and feelings but this book touch my heart. CC is lost as she is all alone with no family, losing her father was hard but since that day she has lost her purpose in life until she meet Reese. The story is a slow burn and delves into the both lives and insecurities of both characters which drive the story along.

I loved the secondary characters and the relationships which were established and created within the story. I loved this book and can’t wait to delve back into the world of the Silver Buckle Mine or the The Brockbank’s in the next book in this series.

Have you ever just wanted to pack it all up and drive across the country to start over in a new city? This was the whole reason CC decides to take a temporary job driving from Chicago to Las Vegas, but fate would put up a few different obstacles before she could finish the trip. Reese is content living the bachelor lifestyle on his cattle ranch with little time for holiday cheer. Together they both must learn how to trust not only each other but themselves if they want to move past the pain from their pasts.

Laurie L.C. Lewis has written a beautiful story about taking a chance not just on love but on life. There are some twists and turns along the way which help to take this book to the next level. The beginning few chapters were a little slow which stopped me from giving the book a 5-star review but it is definitely a solid 4.75 star read! Highly recommend this to anyone who wants a quick read (less than 5 hours) and a wonderful feel-good Christmas story.

I loved this holiday romance story. This is an author I never hesitate to pick up. Her stories are well written and her attention to details give her stories a realistic feel. They are written with heart and soul and bring the spirit of Christmas. This is a story about CC and Reese. CC just wants a new start and Reese ends up saving her and bringing her home. What will happen next? They both have pasts and have gone through pain but now faced with something different, a chance at happiness. I enjoyed the growth of these two characters as well as the growth of the plot throughout the story. They have great chemistry and truly made the story for me. This is a great heartwarming holiday story that you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend it.

Laurie Lewis has written a masterpiece of suspense and intrigue that keeps you glued to the pages from beginning to end! It keeps your mind spinning with guesses of what is going to happen next and how everything will eventually piece together. It is a complicated plot that will have you a bit frustrated at times because you will want to solve the mystery so badly! I kept wanting to skip to the end and find out how it all works out! But every page is definitely worth the read!

Tallie Brown was raised by a mother who never showed her much love. Or she did in her own way, by raising Tallie to be smart, always aware of her surroundings, and cautious of everyone. They moved around constantly with no explanation until they finally settled in a park ranger station for the past seven years. When Tallie’s mom suddenly dies, Tallie finds secrets hidden within her mother’s belongings that lead her on a dangerous journey to find out her true past. She ends up in a small coal town in West Virginia (the state I live in so this made the story that much more intriguing to me!) where she finds resistance from the towners and where she meets Jackson, a journalist who is also an outsider in town looking for information of his own.

When Tallie and Jackson’s paths cross, they are wary of each other at first but determine they could both use a friend and decide to team up and help each find the information they are looking for. The result is a journey of twists and turns that will keep you up all night in anticipation of what will be revealed next! Five stars from me for Secrets Never Die! So dive in and plan for a sleepless night!

I have had the pleasure of reading Laurie Lewis’s Love on a Limb novels around last years holiday season and I fell in love with her knack for spinning a sweet and gripping romance with some fun twists thrown in. When I saw SECRETS NEVER DIE, I just knew I had to see what the story would unfold into as soon as possible. I am so glad I scooped this one up. I adore when a book can consume me, make me feel as if I am in a separate, peaceful, state that I just can’t find anywhere other than a good book. This book very much did that for me. I found myself so wrapped up in the story that I quickly lost track of time and my surroundings. The sun set and the hours ticked until I found myself on the last page at 2 am wondering why I didn’t savor it just a bit slower.

The suspense in this story really grabs your attention right off with those first few chapters. I found myself completely engrossed in the journey Tallie takes. Tallie’s relationship with her mother and her past sets the reader up for a tale that will make you try and put the pieces together only to find out that you had them all mixed up after all. I was hooked until the end with the way things were built and the side twists and turns that I never saw coming. I can’t wait to see what else will come next from Laurie Lewis. I loved her writing this suspense and would love some more! In the meantime, I do have a few of her titles that I haven’t read yet that I will be going to dive into soon!

SECRETS NEVER DIE is one of those books that I read based solely on the author’s name and nothing else. I have always enjoyed the way this author tells a tale and holy moly, this was quite the tale.

This is a well plotted, intricately woven, always in motion story that holds your attention from beginning to end. There are times that I got a little lost because I was reading too fast and missed important details. I had to make myself slow down so I could absorb what was going on.

Fantastic world building, suspenseful, twists and turns abound while leaning why some SECRETS NEVER DIE.

I think this book would make a fantastic selection for a book club or dinner night discussion.

Laurie Lewis has become an author on my must list. Her books are suspenseful-the kind that keeps you hooked from the first page to the last page. Secrets Never Die is that book. There is little suspense and a little romance all wrapped into one. There are two mysteries taken place one about a female,Tallie whose mother moved around and the other is about a reporter, Jackson who has had problems in his career. Each investigates their lives which leads them down a path that they may not be ready to see or hear about. The story is gripping and is a roller coaster ride. Every decision can lead to a good situation or a bad situation. Will Tallie and Jackson find the answers they are after or will it put them deeper into the rabbit hole?

Secrets Never Die by Laurie Lewis is a fantastic mystery that is full of drama, suspense, danger, action, intrigue, twists, secrets, lies, cover-ups, heartache, questions, discoveries, and cleverly woven details. I always look forward to reading anything Ms. Lewis produces, and this book was no different. This is definitely my favourite of all her books that I have read, so far. I was completely absorbed by the story and was trying to figure it all out before anything was revealed. There is quite a lot going on in the story, with lots of details, and inter-connected elements which were a little hard to keep track of at times, but I soon got in the groove and loved unravelling the puzzle.
Tallie Brown has just lost her mother and has been left with many questions she needs answers to. So, she embarks on a journey of discovery which leads her to Cutler’s Ridge where the story really takes off. The more she ‘investigates’ the more questions arise. Her world is shaken, and her mettle and emotions are tested to the limit. Little does she know going in that things will take quite a dangerous turn. There are secrets and cover-ups, and much to uncover on her quest for answers.
Jackson James had a promising journalistic career and was on-track to great things, when it was all snatched away, and he has been living with the consequences of that bad decision ever since. When an opportunity to redeem himself comes to his attention, he jumps at the chance. Finding himself in Cutler’s Ridge on the trail of a ‘hot’ story. There he crosses paths with Tallie- and so the mystery begins.
This is such a clever and suspenseful story, and I really enjoyed how Ms. Lewis pulled and twisted the tale, keeping the tension quite gripping. I loved the characters- they worked really well together. I would love to read more about them in future books. Perhaps they could have their own ‘investigation’/mystery series. ?
