So far I have enjoyed what this author has offered so far in this series. I hope there are more to come. Each story has its own unique case that is being worked and there is a little love match happening in the background. We have a case of not only mistaken identity but mistaken luggage in book one. That luggage puts Evelyn in such a danger that the PI on the case, Patrick, feels obligated to keep her safe after grabbing her and then letting her go. In book two we meet Tessa and James. Tessa opens a bakery and things are going really well, but she starts to receive threatening pictures and letters. This prompts her to hire PI, James, to find out who is behind these threats and see if they can be stopped. These are fairly quick reads and will keep you turning the pages.
I’ve read Mistaken Identity (book one) and was hooked from the first chapter. I definitely wanted to continue this series to see where the story takes us. In the first book, Evelyn, from the US, embarks on her first trip out of the country to complete her Master’s thesis. Unfortunately her trip takes an unexpected turn and ends up being mistakenly identified as a girl with evidence to help destroy a corrupt crime boss. At the airport when all this is played out, she is saved by Patrick, a very attractive private investigator, who is working hard to bring down this crime boss. As the case has its ups and downs and trying to bring down so powerful and betrayal, Patrick and Evelyn rely on each other to get through it all. Love their romantic connection. In the second book, James takes center stage and was introduced in the first book as Patrick’s friend and fellow private investigator. His assistance is required when a local struggling bakery owner, Tessa, is being stalked and trying to find answers. A spark ignites between James and Tessa in the midst of this investigation and it is not expected. The suspense and romance keeps you going and reading. This series is best to read in order to better understand details into the second book. I felt it was great getting a deeper sense of the characters going into the stories to help understand their mindset and development. Great beach and weekend reads!

Mistaken Identity is the first book in the duo. I did something I didn’t think was possible, I read this book in one day, but once I got started reading I had a very hard time putting it down.
One minute Evelyn is running through the airport with her biggest concern being making her connecting flight out of London. Running into a total stranger changes everything and thankfully it’s not all negative.
Evelyn and Patrick are like oil and water. Then they were so much more. Throw in running from dangerous people only adds to the danger and intrigue of their situation.
Be My Little Baby is the second. James and Tessa have quite the interesting relationship. She starts as a client with a stalker and then it ends up so much more. Throw in some longtime friends on both sides and it ends up being entertaining.
I love trying to figure out who the villain of the story is since most have at least one. I went between two most of the way through, then it clicked with me just before we found out. Love that it kept my brain working and it wasn’t as obvious to me, but I’m sure others will figure it out sooner.

Fast paced and full of intrigue, keeps you on the edge of your seat. Great world building and a total page turner. Evelyn Stevenson is a graduate student studying abroad and is ready for a wonderful adventure. When traveling through the airport, she bumps into a stranger that ends up mixing up their bags. Conveniently, a PI named Patrick and his partner James were already following Evelyn for her protection – although they were following her because they thought she was his witness.
When her bag is swapped, they discover that Evelyn is not the person Patrick thought she was – but she does need his protection in the course of his being on the trail of a big crime boss. They have unexpected chemistry and are on a dangerous path, which ramps up the emotion at all levels of the book. With such high stakes and a crime boss who considers himself above the law, how will things turn out between Patrick and Evelyn? Will they be able to stay focused enough to put all the clues together before they end up on the losing end of their race against time?
Book 2 – Be My Little Baby
Book 2 is based on James, the partner of Patrick from book 1. While you could read it as a wonderful standalone, I love the extra insight provided after reading book 1. James is a newly famous PI who takes on a stalker case for bakery owner Tessa. She had originally approached the police for help, but they didn’t help so she went to James. What neither of them expected was the immediate spark between them. Tessa’s stalker ups the stakes and you wonder how many much loved characters will be in the light of suspicion before the mystery is solved. Another great book by this author.

London Detective Agency is the third book in this series which is a complete set of the first two books. I’m a huge fan of complete sets because I can sit and read whole series without stopping to grab another book. This set is a Romance Suspense that will have you on the edge of your seat turning the pages trying to figure out what is going to happen next. The characters and storyline flowed and keeps you interested till the end. Characters are developed, relatable, creative and complex. If you like a Cozy romantic suspense then this is for you. London Detective Agency (London Detective Agency Series) by Stephanie R. Caffrey. I loved this series. Its a fast paced mystery romance series and it will keep you flipping pages all night. Mistaken Identity (London Detective Agency Series) by Stephanie R. Caffrey. This is a wonderful romantic suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Grad student Evelyn is on her way to Greece and while in the airport in London she is mistaken for someone else and Private Investigator Patrick thinks Evelyn is someone else so he grabs her. Megan is the girl that Patrick was looking for and after he realizes Evelyn is not the girl he’s after he lets her go. Hurrying to get on the plane Evelyn mistakenly picks up Megan’s suitcase putting her in serious danger. This leaves Patrick feeling like he has to protect Evelyn. As they spend time together they begin to grow feelings for each other. Be My Little Baby (London Detective Agency Book 2) This is James and Tessa’s story and it can be read as a standalone but I always recommend reading them in order. Tessa has just opened a bakery and has become very successful overnight and thinks things are going quite well. Someone begins to send her threatening letter and photos she realizes she has a stalker and is very concerned. Tessa decides that she needs to hire James a Private Investigator and his crew to help her find who is stalking her. The threats get more serious and even include photos where someone has been looking in her windows. There is a growing attraction between James & Tessa but James has sworn off not dating his clients. Will they find the stalker before he actually hurts Tessa and will James & Tessa make a go at a relationship. These are so good and can be read as standalones!
The London Detective Agency is a fast-paced, happily ever after thriller. I initially read the second book in this series, and after, I really needed to get all of Patrick and Evie’s story. I couldn’t put this one down.
The London Detective Agency Complete Series gives the reader two books they won’t want to put down. Both contain a lot of suspense, intrigue, and some romance thrown in. Though they are part of a series they don’t need to be read that way. But as someone who has read both, once you read one you’ll be grasping for the other. Mistaken Identity is a book about a woman who is going to study abroad but who ends up in police protection from a dangerous family. This book was good. I enjoyed it but I liked book two more. Be My Little Baby is about a woman dealing with a stalker that nobody is taking seriously. That is until she begs for help and the stalker ups the stakes. You want books that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat, both of these books will do just that. And then some. Highly recommended if you enjoy suspense novels. Especially since the way the author wrote the character dynamic gives it something more.
The London Detective Agency book series is a great murder mystery. In the first book Mistaken Identity about Patrick and Evelyn, Evelyn has someone else’s bag which sends off a crime boss to find her. I love how this book focuses on both people in the story and how you get to know what is happening to each other chapter by chapter. This book will keep you guessing who the killer is. It will also show what happened to the other person who has Evelyn’s bag and why the Crime bosses are after her. So, grab a drink and some snacks and enjoy the first book. If you enjoy this book, then you will enjoy the second one Be My Little Baby Which is about Tessa who is a baker that becomes famous in London. She suddenly has a stalker and meets James Who helps her try to figure out who is stalking her. I love how this book has a little bit of romance while dealing with someone stalking her. This book like the first is a great Who done it. This is a great series, and you can read them both here So like I said earlier grab some popcorn your Kindle, or your physical book and a nice drink and enjoy this who-dun-it page-turner series. These book form part of a brilliant series and are both fantastic books to read.
Mistaken Identity is a well written and intriguing mystery story. From the moment you start reading it is action packed and fast paced. I was easily hooked on the story and wanted to know what was going on. Even through everything going on with the book I thought the chemistry between the characters really shone through. Their connection was obvious and added the overall tension of the story. They pulled me in and made me want to go on this adventure with them. As the first book that I have read by this author I can say I thoroughly enjoyed it and I am looking forward to the next.
Be My Little Baby is the second book in the London Detective series and it is a brilliant follow up to the first. I think for me, this book is even better than what I expected and that was in large part because of the characters involved. Their chemistry was undeniable. The connection was there right from the start, no matter how much they tried to ignore it. But the characters and their connection felt like it was in conjunction with the story, not taking over it like it could have done. I was desperate to know how things would play out – who was involved, what would happened. The author really kept me engaged throughout the whole story. This is a brilliant book and a great continuation of what is building up to be a fantastic series.
I absolutely loved both books. I truly started using British words and slangs because I felt I was living in the story; I got that into it ! So well written, original, funny, so much character development, twists and turns, it is a must read!
Such a cute love story in both books also, which is also a huge plus 💗 Hope you all love it as much as me

MISTAKEN IDENTITY I really enjoyed book 1. The fast-paced, action-packed journey of Evelyn and Patrick is enjoyable and full of emotions.There’s crime drama, relationship building and drama, international travel drama, suspense, and so much more! Lots of drama, but in the best way! I thought this was a very entertaining story and I am definitely excited to read book 2 in the series!
BE MY LITTLE BABY Well, book 2 in the London Detective Agency series did not disappoint. I enjoyed book 1, and book 2 was also so good! The dynamics between Tessa and James were sizzling and I actually loved the more relatable storyline when compared to book 1. Having Evie and Patrick in the sequel connected the stories and was a great continuation from book 1. Lots of fun characters to follow and learn about, but Tessa and James were wonderful and I loved how they dealt with each obstacle as it came along. I will be recommending this series to other book fans for sure. Warning, you will be craving pumpkin bars by the end of the book!
This was a new to me author this year, and I couldn’t get enough of this series. It’s a great suspenseful romance with some laughs and twists.
Book 1 is Evelyn and Patrick’s story. Evelyn meets Patrick at the airport when she is mistaken for someone else and Patrick ends up holding her captive, making her miss her flight, while things are sorted out. I loved the London setting and the British banter between characters. Was on the edge of my seat and staying up late into the night reading to see what happens next.
Book 2 this one follows Tessa and James. James and Patrick were roommates and run a P.I business together. So when Tessa comes to the office for help with a stalker after the police turn her away, James takes on the case. But while he’s trying to keep things professional he’s also falling for her quite quickly. When the stalker escalates, James has to race to save Tessa before it’s too late. This was another story I thoroughly enjoyed and had me hooked.
This author has quickly become a new favorite of mine. Give this series a try.

Book #1 Mistaken Identity by Stephanie R. Caffrey was such a thrilling read, I couldn’t put this book down! I love the characters and how feisty they are, especially our main female character, Evelyn, who finds herself in a messy situation when she is mistaken for someone else while traveling abroad. Patrick happens to be at the airport looking to prevent Megan from going on the run, when he accidentally grabs Evelyn instead, who happens to look similar to Megan. All this mess happens because Megan, who was in a hurry to get onto the airplane, bumped into Evelyn and accidentally grabbed the wrong travel bag. Due to this accident, Evelyn was left holding Megan’s bag, which puts her in a very dangerous situation. Throughout this book we see Evelyn forced to step out of her comfort zone, and continually have to fight for her life, and the lives of her new friends. This story is so realistic, it will have you on the edge of your seat wondering what may be waiting right around the corner! There is a budding romance throughout the story, that is beautifully intertwined with the thrills of mystery and danger. What a wonderful touch to have a slow to develop romance that stayed in the bounds of old-fashioned courtship, showing that there are good men still out there who respect women’s morals.
Book #2 This is the second book of the London Detective Agency series. It focuses on James, who investigates a stalker case for the local bakery owner, Tessa. This book continues along with the first book in the series and contains all of our favorite characters and many new ones. I loved how James finally finds someone to keep him from being such a huge workaholic in the office and gets him to get out a little more from his daily habits of spending way too much time at work. What a great mystery that has you second-guessing who the stalker may be. It casts a light of suspicion at so many of your favorite characters but beware not all are as good as they seem. This book has a lot of exciting scenes in it and will make you anxious to read it from cover to cover, so grab a snack and get ready for a fun read. This is a fantastic set of books 1 and 2 in the London Detective Agency series. I loved both stories. Book 1 – Mistaken Identity This is the first book in this series. The FMC is set to study abroad in her graduate program but when her bag gets mixed up with another woman. This gives her a major mistaken identity and she is forced to rely on the MMC. He is a private investigator and is trying to bring down the not so nice guy. He needs to protect her, she needs to survive the whole ordeal and together they try to avoid their feelings for each other. This is a great first read.
Book 2 – Be My Little Baby
This is book 2 in the London Detective Agency. Tessa is a bakery owner who doesn’t expect to be thrust into the limelight the way she is with her new bakery and has to go to James for help when an over zealous stalker will not stop. For his part he tries to follow his don’t date clients rule but, well he fails. This book is funny, well written, and a great story.
I adore this series! This all starts off with a slam(quite literally) and keeps you drawn in from there. I was ready to see what was next and felt like I never quite knew what was going to happen. Evelyn is a wonderful character with an array of feelings that you can totally understand while reading what is going on. Patrick is great and when you get more of his backstory, he becomes even more relatable. Them together is so fun. James is supportive of Patrick and then you get to learn more about him and boy is it amazing. He takes his job seriously and wants to do his best in building the business. He’s trying hard to resist his attraction to Tessa, but with Patrick and Evelyn egging him on, it’s difficult. Tessa is also wonderful. She is goal driven and doesn’t want to let anything get in her way. From mystery to thriller, romance to comedy, this series covers it all and kept me interested the whole way through. I would recommend this series to anyone!

This series is absolutely incredible and I cannot recommend it highly enough .If you are looking for the perfect blend of romance and suspense in a fast-paced thrill ride, pick this up!
Book 1: Mistaken Identity – This was an absolutely phenomenal first book in the London Detective Agency series! The real world did not exist to me once I opened this book, and I didn’t return until I finished the last page. Typically, when I pick up romantic suspense books, they lean heavily on either the romance or suspense. This book somehow balanced both equally, and I loved it! Evelyn is traveling and her bag gets accidentally swapped by another lady named Megan. Patrick is a PI focusing intently on finding Megan…who looks an awful lot like Evelyn. The chemistry between Patrick and Evelyn is palpable and getting to see them react to each other was wonderful. The tension will keep you captivated throughout the entire story. I highly recommend picking this up if you are looking for a fast-paced, intriguing suspense-filled read!
Book 2: Be My Little Baby – This is the second book in the London Detective Agency series, and I enjoyed it even more than the first! While you could possibly read this book without reading the previous one first, I highly recommend picking them up in order. Not only are they just magnificent and complement each other, but getting the background of each character is important in the grand scheme of things. James and Tessa are incredible characters and have been very well developed. The chemistry between the two of them leaps off of the pages! I won’t give anything away, but I will absolutely recommend this book repeatedly. If you enjoy a fantastically crafted romantic suspense story, please do yourself a favor and pick this book up!
This series is the perfect mix of suspense, intrigue, and romance. Caffrey kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time and kept me turning pages well into the night. The plot line for both books flows so well and there are some really great twists and turns that had me gasping as I read. This series is really just all around fantastic. In the first book, we meet Evelyn and Patrick and their character development both independently and together is phenomenal. I also love that James, the cheeky wingman for Patrick, is really such a huge part of the plot but he doesn’t come off creepy or forced. In the second book, we get James and Tessa’s story and Caffrey does it again with the character development both individually and together for these characters. What I love about these stories is that you don’t have to read one to read the other, but with them combined why wouldn’t you?! Grab this today along with your hot beverage of choice and a cozy blanket and settle in for forced proximity, witty banter, suspense, action, forbidden love, protector, damsel in distress, and an ultimate HEA. Mistaken Identity Stephanie R. Caffrey’s debut novel, “Mistaken Identity,” is the action-packed first book in the London Detective Agency series. Stephanie gives us a page-turning tale full of the unknown, danger, secrets, lies, intrigue, angst, fear, hate, betrayal, revenge, and ulterior motives. Be My Little Baby I was really impressed by Stephanie’s debut novel, Mistaken Identity, so I was eager to read more of her work. I didn’t have to wait long before the second book in the London Detective Agency series was released. Absolutely riveting mystery series. I have read them both and I love the fact that they are now available in a complete set. This is a set full of action, humor and some romance. I loved the chemistry between the two main characters in each story. Each story had a very nice flow. The stories were written very well. They were very easy to become engaged in. The characters were very relatable. You almost felt like they were your best pals. This is a mystery set that I can definitely get behind.
This is a fantastic collection in Book 1 & 2 in the London Detective Agency series. I loved both books and the story-lines had me at the edge of my seat.
Book 1 – Mistaken Identity Wow! What a debut novel….Mistaken Identity is a intriguing, fast paced story fill with drama, mystery, greed, corruption, suspense and some romance. I really loved this story and I am excited to what is to come in this series. I was at the edge of my seat while turning the pages trying to find out what will happen next as the story unfolded. Already to say I very highly recommend this book… what a roller coaster of a ride this story took me on.
Evelyn Stevenson is to study abroad as a graduate student ready for a new adventure being away from home. While trying to navigate where to go next at the airport and accidental bump into a stranger leads Evelyn down a road of danger and mystery, especially when her bag is mixed up by this unknown stranger. Patrick Mlller is a private investigator on the hunt to protect someone whom is crucial to bringing down a big crime boss….and protecting Evelyn was a first priority..but strangely by accident at first, thinking this was his witness. As this unfolds, Patrick is betrayed in more ways than one trying to bring down the notorious greedy crime boss…Patrick and his work partner, James along with Evelyn try to bring down this evil man. This leads to so much danger and the stakes are high….will Patrick be able to protect Evelyn against this crime boss whom feels like he is invincible to any law….
Book 2 – Be My Little Baby Be My Little Baby is Book 2 in the London Detective Agency series and after reading the first book and absolutely loving it, I was excited to dive into this story featuring James. I highly recommend reading the books in orders as you get to know the characters and are captured in each of the stories. I loved the story-line, suspense, drama but also the sizzle and spark between James and Tessa that kept me turning the pages to see what happens next….
Tessa Lopez is a bakery business owner, building her business, but now becomes the target of stalker. When the police do not step in to help, she hires the newly famous PI James Moore. When James takes on Tessa’s case, he never expected for the instant connection to light a spark in him. When the threats toward Tessa become more evident…will James be able to find out whom Tessa’s stalker is before it is to late….. definitely read and find out…
These are great stories and I am looking forward to reading more from this author….
This is a great collection of the first two books in the London Detective Agency series. They are Mistaken Identity and Be My Baby
Mistaken Identity This was such a thrilling read that was action packed right from the start. The twists and turns in this story kept me hooked and the chemistry between out two main characters is recognisable from the beginning and sizzles throughout the book. This is also the first book in the London Detective Agency Series so I can’t wait to see what else the author has in store for us.
Evelyn was all set to embark on her new life and adventure but a accidental collision with another person and picking up the wrong bag has changed her plans and added a whole level of danger to her life. The problem is the woman she collided with and that she looks almost identical to is a lady on the run. As a witness for PI Patrick Miller against a crime family she decides to flee. However in doing so she has now placed Evelyn in harms way. When Patrick catches up to her the chemistry and attraction between them is instant but he knows has to protect her from the family who are looking to get rid of the witness against them. Together then now need to work together to bring this family to justice while making sure the Fitzgerald crime family don’t get to Evelyn.
This story is action packed and fast paced. I enjoyed how the romance between Patrick and Evelyn was slow burning in the background of this story which only made it better. The characters are both well written and likeable. Both are strong in their own way and I loved how Patrick was focused on getting justices, you get the feeling that even if there wasn’t chemistry between him and Evelyn he would still protect her with everything he had. I am really looking forward to reading more.

Be My Little Baby (London Detective Agency Book 2)
This only thing I was disappointed in was the fact I had not read the first book in the series. It’s not necessary to read it, but I’m one of those who hate reading series out of order. I will end up going back, reading the first and re-reading this second book.
James and Tessa have quite the interesting relationship. She starts as a client with a stalker and then it ends up so much more. Throw in some longtime friends on both sides and it ends up being entertaining.
I love trying to figure out who the villain of the story is since most have at least one. I went between two most of the way through, then it clicked with me just before we found out. Love that it kept my brain working and it wasn’t as obvious to me, but I’m sure others will figure it out sooner.

Well, book 2 in the London Detective Agency series did not disappoint. I enjoyed book 1 and book 2 was also so good! The dynamics between Tessa and James were sizzling and I actually loved the more relatable storyline when compared to book 1. Having Evie and Patrick in the sequel connected the stories and was a great continuation from book 1. Lots of fun characters to follow and learn about, but Tessa and James were wonderful and I loved how they dealt with each obstacle as it came along. I will be recommending this series to other book fans for sure. Warning, you will be craving pumpkin bars by the end of the book!
