Stephanie R. Caffrey’s “London Detective Agency” series offers a captivating blend of suspense, romance, and character development, making it an engaging read for fans of cozy mysteries and thrillers. Caffrey skillfully interweaves elements of crime and attraction, set against the atmospheric backdrop of London.
The first installment, “Mistaken Identity,” introduces us to Evelyn Stevenson, a graduate student whose excitement for her study abroad experience takes a dark turn when she inadvertently crosses paths with a notorious crime boss. The expertly crafted dialogue adds depth to their relationship, highlighting the trope of opposites attract, while the suspense keeps readers on the edge of their seats.
In the second, “Be My Little Baby,” the focus shifts to Tessa Lopez, a bakery owner whose life takes a sinister turn as she finds herself stalked and threatened.
