Home to the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction Book 1) by Nicole Flockton – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

Home to the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction, #1)Home to the Outback by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this story by Author Nicole Flockton. Ryan is a very successful plastic surgeon and wants to be part of something more and parts ways with his partner, whom is all about money and greed. When Ryan gets a phone call that his adoptive father, Colin, was in a very serious accident, he heads back to Bunya Junction. Sindy Carruthers went back to Bunya Junction after her relationship went wrong. Sindy ended up working for Colin as a nurse and thought highly of Colin. When Colin passes away, Ryan and Sindy find out they are both half owners of his practice that he is leaving behind. Fate brought them together, can they both heal and love. This is a great contemporary romance and I loved the setting in Australia. I cannot wait to dive into book 2 :).

Forever Valentine: A Sequel to Professor Valentine (Kirk University Series, Book 6) by Diana Vale – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

Forever Valentine (Kirk University, #6)Forever Valentine by Diana Vale
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Forever Valentine is the follow up to the book Professor Valentine of Cassie and Diego’s story. The 2nd book picks up a year later as Cassie is in her 2nd year at uni to get her degree while Diego teaches at another school. Despite Diego’s ex wife and also the stress of Diego meeting Cassie’s parents for the first time, Cassie and Diego’s love for each other still burns strong. The story was good but I didn’t feel the connection with the characters like I was hoping in this story. Overall a good read if you enjoy contemporary romance books.

When Drew goes to undergrad school to become a pediatric oncologist he walks into his chemistry lab and picks Abby as his partner. He believes Abby would not be much of a distraction…boy was he wrong. Abby is also focused on her studies as she needs to graduate and move on to medical school as well. As she opens up her heart to Drew…it really made me swoon! I loved this story and highly recommend if you love a sports romance and swoon worthy chemistry :).

Slow Burn by A.K. Macbride – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

Slow Burn (Breathing Hearts, #2)Slow Burn by A.K. MacBride
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fantastic story! This is my first book that I read from Author A.K. MacBride and I love this slow burn of a romance. The is the story of Maddie and Adam that is truly an emotional roller coaster. I believe they both do not feel like they deserve love. Maddie is a dancer, but ends up working for her parents hardware store and they are not in full support of Maddie as a dancer. When Maddie is left a beachfront cottage by her grandmother, this is where she meets Adam. He is rude, grumpy, yes full of pain, but when you find out Adam’s story, you have all these feels why. You really root for these two characters and their story. Highly recommended if you love a contemporary romance with a small town feel. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Romancing the Tropics is a steamy short read with 2 stories. The 1st story “Tequila Sunset” is a older man, younger woman steamy fling. Cassie is getting over a breakup with her boyfriend and spending time with her best friend at her dad’s house. Things get very steamy quickly when both Cassie and David (Cassie’s best friends dad) get some alone time. The 2nd story “Beneath The Sheets” is about Alex and Sarah, whom are best friends. When Alex breaks up with his girlfriend, he decides to hop on a plane to Australia to see Sarah, whom he loved since high school. Alex and Sarah rekindle their romance when they see each other again.
