I enjoyed reading this because it gives some idea of how our future generations will react to the right now in the future. Ahora, one of the main characters and her schoolmates, must learn savage experiences. Living a protected life, their history is appalling. The doctor and her inmates were put through an ordeal but it was a need.
The weight of authority is weighing down on them. They must remember “Truth. Admiration. Resilience” as you read through this rousing and harrowing tale of destruction, endurance, and ambition.
This is a book of determination and endurance. I love this because it teaches a great story which everybody should read and want to be a part of. A haunting yet harrowing story which is a page turner, great world building in a unique time period, easy to read, unpredictable, the characters are great, the story is original, informative and entertaining! Take the time to read this and you won’t be disappointed!

Love Gaia: The Diary Directive by TL Clark is a young adult/ dystopian read about hope and survival. I found myself lost in the pages and couldn’t stop reading till the end. I will say there was some areas I had a hard time with but that didn’t stop me from reading. My emotions were all over the place and my heart ached at times. This story is about Aroha and her friends, harsh lessons are learned and they learn not to make the same mistake twice. Find out what happens next in this absolute must read I just want to add I love the cover. I can’t wait to see what this Author brings us next.

This is my first book by this author and i thought it was an interesting one. It was well written and had a completely different feel than anything I have read recently. It is set in a post-apocalyptic world after most of mankind have been wiped out. This is not for the faint of heart because it is raw and emotional and thought provoking. Definitely worth the read if that is your thing and you need a different book to take over your weekend!
Happy reading!

Love Gaia

A very neat dystopian Young Adult book based on the post-apocalyptic future, where the entire man kind has been wiped out, it is very thought provoking and an amazing story. Set in the future world, the story moves back and forth between the youth reading their harsh history lessons through the diary of Dr. Rachel, one of the survivors of the apocalypse. Aroha, a young woman reaching adulthood lives a peaceful life in an almost perfect world, an idealistic community where people believe in high values – Honesty, respect and fortitude. Aroha’s teacher walks them through a brutal history lesson about the founders of the community and the struggle they went through to form this society. She reads out a dairy of one Dr. Rachel, who is one of the founding members of this community. Dr. Rachel was one of the survivors who was kept underground for years together after the apocalypse which happened around the year 2069. Dr. Rachel loses everything, but she is determined to fight back for her freedom. The dairy talks in depth about Dr. Rachel’s struggle and her vision on the basis of which, the society of Aroha is formed. The book is indeed very though provoking and very unique book. It is a very short book, and very easy to read, do not miss this one!

Love Gaia: The Diary Directive by TL Clark was a captivating read. The point of views switching from past to present was uniquely done. I appreciated it in the YA dystopia setting so much. I enjoyed Ahora and her friends, they were so naive and innocent. The topics covered really hit close to home but it was still an uplifting read.

This is the first book I have read from this author and she blew my mind. It has been a while since I read a dystopian story but she exceeded all my expectations. This book has a couple of triggers in it so be aware of them but it is truly a great book to read. It only took me a couple of hours to devour this amazing story.

Aroha and her classmates live in a new age now. There are a lot of things that are different but you don’t want to repeat the past. They are living in a very sheltered life where they have things done for them. One day Aroha and her classmates have their world shaken. They have to find out what they are really made of. Will they be able to find it out why Dr. Rachel did what she had to do or will it be too late?

Love Gaia: The Diary Detective, by TL Clark, is described in the blurb as “A post-nuclear war, dystopian vs. utopian, environmental romance”…and it is just that.
This author is new to me and I was drawn in as I was intrigued by the description.
Aroha and her classmates finally get to learn the truth about the world they live in. It looks different to the world we live in now as it was almost wiped out. The lesson comes in an unusual form, a diary.
Dr Rachel has been dragged away from her life and her family. She starts her diary to keep an account of what her life is like now, and what Rachel and her peers suffer in order to save the rest of humanity.
Love Gaia takes a look at what the future could look like if mistakes are made. It’s up to Aroha and her classmates to protect their world and prevent it happening again.
I really enjoyed this book. It is my first book by TL Clark, I enjoyed the style of writing and found myself wanting to keep reading to know what happens. I particularly enjoyed the way the link to the last was through the diary entries. There is a lot to think about when reading it.
I would recommend this and think young adults in particular would enjoy this.

Love Gaia: The Diary Directive by T.L. Clark is a fascinating post-apocalyptic read. Aroha and her classmates are in a situation where they must learn from the past in order to survive. Will they make it through? This is a YA read but well written and with many thoughtful topics handled with great care and concern. I have read other books from this author and this one is also well done. I really enjoy the stories brought by this author as well as how the characters and story are developed. This story brought me into what Aroha and her classmates were experiencing with such fine detail. It was not overwhelmed by tons of action like other YA dystopian stories but instead took the energy and time to develop an interesting tale. I look forward to reading more from Clark in the future and what worlds I will be taken to next.

Love Gaia: The Diary Directive by TL Clark is a unique and original story that could almost be seen as something that could one day happen in our world. This thought provoking dystopian tale is a little eerie and daunting. To read what could be if power got in to the wrong hands or someone gets trigger happy.

The diaries of Dr Rachel were bitter sweet and was so easy to imagine what they were going through, the struggle, the loss, the heartbreak and heartache. But we also see the legacy that Rachel and others left behind and a new world order has come to pass because those before them were thrown into chaos and the unknown.

This is one story that will stay with me for a while.

This is a Dystopian story that got my attention right away. The story line has those left alive find ways to teach their children how to make better decisions than their ancestors did by reading one of the ancestors diary. The ups and downs of this story kept me so concentrated on what might happen next, I couldn’t put it down.
What an amazing story written by T L Clark! I am looking forward to reading more of her books.

Love Gaia: The Diary Directive was a really intriguing and thought provoking read – I really enjoyed it! I’ve read books by this author previously so I knew I was in for a good read and I wasn’t disappointed. I love it when a story makes you stop and think at times and this one definitely did that. Aroha was really great character! The way in which the author chose to write the story was really interesting and engaging. I have to say I don’t usually take much notice of covers on books but this one was really beautiful!
I would absolutely recommend Love Gaia: The Diary Directive to other readers – it was a fascinating read!

ove Gaia: The Diary Directive by TL Clark. This is a great Young Adult dystopian read. The story is set in a post apocalyptic future world that goes between a diary that was written by one of the first survivors and the story of Aroha a young girl who is about to be an adult and her friends who are hearing the diary for the first time. Aroha and her friends have lived a very sheltered life. The diary talks of a time that was very dark, depressing and sheltered. During the same time Aroha and her friends are subjected to some very dark and trying times. They are weighed down by the responsibility and burden put upon them. The hope is they will learn from their past and not make the same mistakes that caused such devastation and changed the world as we know it. This is a deep, dark and devastating read but will really open your eyes.

I find myself turning the pages because I wanted to find out what was going to happen. The characters are complex and intriguing. Clark has a unique writing ability that makes everything vivid and real for the reader. Aroha lives in a society that has sheltered life. There are some harsh lessons to be learned. I was so excited to get my hands on this latest TL Clark novel. I absolutely have loved all of her other works and was really excited to see what this one would hold. This book not only met all my expectations but exceeded it for sure! This book is a post war dystopian with a hint of romance to keep things a bit light. I loved the main character, Aroha (who wouldn’t love that name, it is so beautiful!) and following her as she struggles to learn and adjust her thinking to save the world she lives in. We see her being put in a bunker with the impending doom of a meteor coming for earth. While they are there they are all given the diary of Dr. Rachel and through the readings they learn how to avoid the mistakes of the past. Will they learn fast enough and be able to salvage the world before it perishes? I am looking forward to seeing what else we will get from TL Clark, I will for sure be there for it with bells on!

Love Gaia: The Diary Directive By T.L Clark is such a thought provoking and interesting story set in the post-apocalyptic future- where there are lessons to be learned to avoid the same fate.
I love exploring Ms. Clark’s work, as she always brings something new and different to the table. This standalone story took me on a bit of a dystopian journey through devastation, survival, environmental issues, lessons to be learned, drama, emotion, mystery, action, and hope.
As I would expect from Ms. Clark, this story is beautifully written and paints a picture of a believable future- with vividly descriptive scene setting and superb detailing. Ms. Clark’s world building is quite masterful.
We meet Aroha and her classmates who live in a future dystopian society, their sheltered existence gets a shake-up with some shocking and harsh lessons. The hope being that they will learn from the past, so future generations won’t make the same mistakes which led to the devastation and changed the world forever. The lessons involve the journal entries made by Dr. Rachel, and her personal experiences in the events that occurred now help to shape the future.
Intriguing reading!

Thank you, T.L Clark!

Clark is a known author to me but this genre was a new one from her for me. And I loved it! Sometimes when dystopian and romance are mixed they become diluted and predictable. But this story had all of the elements well established and the plot kept quick pace and kept me guessing. I loved this story and cannot wait to go back and read it again.

I loved reading the book Love Gaia: The Diary Directive by TL Clark. It is a story that pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a story that had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. The book is written in such a way that I found myself lost in the storyline and the characters. I loved reading about the characters of Aroha, her classmates, and Dr. Rachel. Aroha and her classmates are learning lessons from the past so they do not repeat the same mistakes. As they learn how Dr. Rachel and those around her know they grew to understand how they survived and how they tried to have hope. Will Aroha and her classmates understand the choices that those so long ago had to make? Will they see them in a different light? Read this book to find out. This is a story that is both heartbreaking and heartwarming. I found myself wishing I could read faster as I just had to know how it all turned out. This is a thrilling tale and I found myself thinking about the characters and the story even after I had finished the book. I would highly recommend reading it.

I enjoyed this dystopian war-romance story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her. It is a well written story that has details that make the story pop off the pages. I had no problems connecting with the characters. They are engaging and made the story enjoyable to read. This is a story of hope and survival. In this story Aroha and her friends will learn that to not make the same mistake twice, harsh lessons need to be learned. This book could be a trigger but if you can get past that it really is an enjoyable story that will keep you turning pages. When everything rides on Aroha and her friends what will happen? I highly recommend this book to find out what happens next in this thrilling tale.

To avoid repeating the mistakes of the past, Aroha and her classmates must learn harsh lessons.

Having led a sheltered life, their history is shocking. Nobody should have to endure what Dr. Rachel and her inmates were put through. Yet it was seemingly necessary.
