Hell In A Handbasket (Life is Hell Book 3) by Naomi Valkyrie – Review by Lyndsey Fairley

Hell In A Handbasket (Life is Hell #3)Hell In A Handbasket by Naomi Valkyrie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a really good book! It’s book 3 of this series And I would recommend reading these in order so you get the dynamic and the who’s who in the story, but also they’re great books!
We’ve met both main characters in previous books but I’m glad we get to be in their heads, as Teivel has been a mystery to me.
What do you bet when a demon and a demon hunter fall in love? Well read this and find out, you won’t regret it. Kept me hooked page after page. And I really can’t wait for the next in the series!

Stormy’s Thunder (Satan’s Devils MC Utah #2) by Manda Mellett – Review by Lyndsey Fairley

Stormy's Thunder (Satan's Devils MC Utah #2)Stormy’s Thunder by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have to say Ms. Mellett had her work cut out for her with this book as I went into this book saying “there’s no way I will ever be able to like Stormy, hes done too much that I can’t forgive” , and yet again this shows the amazing talent she has as an author, because I ate those words by the time I was done.
So like I said going in I wasn’t optimistic, I knew it would be a rough one but something about getting to know someone, the ins and outs and what makes them tick, really opens your heart up and then that person could do anything and be forgiven to some degree (thankfully its all fiction)
I won’t give details. These books have them all, but these Utah chapter members never have a dull moment that’s for sure.

Heartbeats and Roses (Hartwood Holiday Romance) by Jae Dawson – Review by Lyndsey Fairley

Heartbeats and Roses: A Small Town Valentine's Day Romance (A Hartwood Holiday Romance)Heartbeats and Roses: A Small Town Valentine’s Day Romance by Jae Dawson
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

After reading the first in this series, I could not wait to dive into this one and unfortunately it just didn’t hit the mark for me like the first one did. This is a second chance romance which is one of my favorite tropes ever, and it just fell short all around for me.
The story was good overall and had the makings of a great story it just didn’t hit that love level for me. I felt the characters were more friends than in love, and I hated feeling that way.
I will be reading the next in this series as I do like these but it just might not have been a good reading day for me and may do a reread sometime.

I really enjoyed this book, and Eve. This story really had me guessing until the end and I’m usually pretty good at figuring out the bad guy early on. So we’ll done there!
This authors writing just flows well for me I don’t really feel like im reading and just watching it all play out in my mind.

Here’s waiting for more!

Don’t Worry, I Still Hate You by Marie Skye – Review by Lyndsey Fairley

This is a review for Don’t Worry, I Still Hate You by Marie Skye
Well, I really enjoyed this story and I wish we could’ve gotten more of these two, I would’ve read them all day!
Perrie and Ash have some history, and she’s never forgiven him for it. Needing a new roommate, she places an ad and never expects who it is that moves in.
From there it just got better. The chemistry between the two was coming off the pages, and I love those types of reads.
Would love to get to know them better as there was a lot to digest, which the author did a good job summarizing it all but more details were wanted in places for me.
Overall it was a great read, and that ending, ugh I loved it so so much!

Askew Ever After: A Limited Edition Romance Collection Anthology – Review by Lyndsey Fairley

Askew Ever AfterAskew Ever After by Aubrey Wynne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First off this is an amazing set of authors, some new, some ive read and enjoyed before. All are great reads and there’s a little of something for everyone in this set.

This will focus on Paper Love by Aubrey Wynne.

I absolutely loved this story. Even though its a fast read. I felt I got to know what I needed to know about the characters to feel connected. Joss isn’t looking for anyone, she is trying to make some life decisions and thanks to a friend and her sister, she’s taken to a social party and meets her best friends brother for the first time.
Ben wasn’t what I thought he would be like once you got to know him a bit.

Great read. Will be reading the rest of these over the next few weeks!

I really enjoyed this story as it didn’t feel far fetched. It felt like I was watching a movie in my mind and could see them all as real people.
Yes it has romance but it shows it all. The good and bad, the hard and easy times too.
Great story, great characters and amazing writing.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As a pretty new to me author, I am kicking myself for waiting so long to read her books. I am getting there slowly but this book, if I wasn’t already planning on reading her collection, this one would have made me run to one click everything.
I was hooked, the characters, the storyline, the chemistry, just everything was amazing with this story. As I haven’t read much of this author, i was able to read this as a standalone but do see Miriam is in other books so I wasn’t left feeling like I was missing anything.

I highly recommend this! Wow!

If every book in this series gets better as we go, then I am not prepared for the rest of this series.
I seriously loved the first book and this one has now tied with that one for me. Sheridan was a hoot in book 1 and I couldn’t wait for this one and she did not disappoint.
I read this in one sitting, its not super long but engaging and keeps you guessing.
I now can’t wait for the next book!

I really enjoyed this book, and while it is the 2nd in the series, it reads as a standalone.
These stories are so fun and I love how the author has her own spin on cupids and I really enjoy seeing how these stories play out, especially with the strong willed man fighting it every step of the way. I cannot wait for more!

Once again we are in Crystal Rock, a place that makes me feel like I’m home even though ive only been in these books. This author has such a way of detailing everything you need to know and helps along the way to be able to see it in your mind as you’re reading.
I love second chance romances and holiday romances so I got a two-fer here.
Mia and Noah and even others we’ve met in other books, are sure to be a fan favorite and can’t wait to visit this place again soon!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I read only the first story in this anthology and will be reading the rest soon, but this is for Tamara Ferguson’s book, Two Hearts’ Christmas Rescue

This was a great story about falling in love, romantically and with Christmas again. I loved all the animals in this one. And being able to see those from previous books. You don’t have to read the previous books to read this one but it helps just a little to know who is who.
Cant wait for more in this series as they’re so good!

This was such an awesome book and I have no idea how I have never read this author before but now I will be reading all her books!
I was hooked from page one and loved every minute of it. Joanie is new in town and owns a bakery. When she is accused of stealing things that come up missing in town, she is set on figuring it out in her own special way.
This writing style was so comforting and engaging and cannot wait to dive into this authors work.

Urban Justice (A Chicago Vigilantes Novel #2)Urban Justice by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As with any book by this author, you are drawn into the story from the get go and taken for one heck of a ride. Sloane is an ex-cop turned vigilante, trying to rid the city of a drug called Phantom, with the help of some others. Enter Luke and we have everything you could need in a story. I don’t like to give details as all books should be read and experienced in your own way but I cannot wait to get to know the rest of this group and this story was just as good as the first.

Another great story for this series! Logan is remodeling the fixer upper she and Ben have bought and she is set to meet her half sister! Then they of course get pulled into a murder case and it all takes off from there. As always these stories keep me glued to the pages to see where its going to go and I’m usually wrong! Great series and of course look forward to more from this author.

First off this is my first book by this author and I have no idea where they’ve been hiding from me but will now be adding to my list to read. Second please heed the warning as this does have domestic abuse and may be a limit for some.
This was a well written book and kept me on the edge with each page I turned. Gia is so strong and definitely a fighter not just a survivor. I am really not one to detail a book out but this is a great read and I highly recommend.

What a suspenseful journey this was. I was glued to the pages wondering what would happen next and how things would play out. As with all her other books, this author has a way of writing that just hooks you from the start and takes you on a ride with details and characters you can just see in your mind.
I really hope there’s more in this new series and I’ll be there to read them as they’re released !

Grumbler’s Ride (Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #2) by Manda Mellett – Review by Lyndsey Fairley

Grumbler's Ride (Satan's Devils MC San Diego #2)Grumbler’s Ride by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Every single book, within all of these MC chapters of this series, are so well written and each brings their own threats, drama, tears, laughs and just all around emotion. I don’t know how she does it but each and every story is unique, engaging and all around entertaining.
We are in San Diego and we get to know Grumbler in this book. This is all about the right place at the right time to put him in the path of what was yet to come. As with all the bikers, hes a certified bachelor and his ol’ lady is his motorcycle.
Mary is a no nonsense mom to an almost adult teenage daughter who is just trying to do her best, with a teen who doesn’t want to listen to the word no.

This one really got to me with the subject matter in the fact that it does happen in the real world and you just feel helpless to know how to stop it. Was written well to get the points across without needing every small detail to know the maddening truth of the events going on.
I can’t wait to read more from the San Diego Chapter of brothers as we are just getting started and I’m eager to get to know this clubhouse of soon to be added to my favorite bikers series.

I have read a couple other books by this author so i knew I would enjoy this one before I even opened it and I was so right!

Delilah is a demon living among us and when she snaps and needs a break from it all, she finds a small little town to relax in, or so she thinks.
This author has a way of giving enough details you can just picture everything that the characters are seeing and experiencing without being overly descriptive.
I really enjoyed this book and had a few laughs, a few edge of my seat moments and overall just enjoyment. I can’t wait for more in this new series!

The Magic of ChristmasThe Magic of Christmas by Christi Barth
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If you’re looking for something to get you in the Christmas spirit, this is the book for you. I loved that we get to visit Holiday Land and I could see all the details in my head and sounds like such a fun place!
Rowan is a work machine and doesn’t allow herself to let loose at the office. When she and Jeremy are paired together as competition and to visit a new place to get marketing ideas, things couldn’t seem worse for either of them. But with the magic of the season we get this beautiful and heartfelt story.
I really really enjoyed this book and the characters were relatable, believable and I love a heroine who sticks up for herself. This is a must read, holiday season or not!
