Prophecy Girl (Camille Bishop Book 1) by Ravin Tija Maurice is a murder mystery paranormal urban fantasy story that has a little of everything to draw you in. There are a lot of characters in this book and Ravin did a good job of setting the scene and writing them as people and bringing them to life. It is a story full of emotions but the unpredictable makes it hard to put down.
The world in which Camille lives is anything but normal as she soon discovers as she ventures into her role as a PI. She learns that life is not as black and white as she believed and those she can trust are few in numbers. Not only that but she has to come to terms with who she is and what those around her want with her new powers.
Prophecy Girl has set the scene for what is to come from this author.

Anne by Zarina Macha, is a YA coming of age story that shows the usual issues that teenagers have to face and come to terms with. Zarina writes about issues such as bullying and drugs, alcohol and suicide, sense of sexuallity and who you are, gender and many others.
Anne has to live in an abusive environment as her alcoholic father abuses her mother. When her mother up and disappears her father tells her she just walked away and sends her away to live with an Aunt which turns out to be the best for her.
Her writing style is easy to follow and easily captures the essence of being a teenager that would make this story a great read for them.
Devil’s Spawn by Manda Mellett is the sixth book in the Satan’s Devil’s MC Colorado Chapter series. I would definitely recommend reading the series in order so that you can really get the full character development and background to the series. This series honestly just gets better with each and every book. I don’t know how this author keeps on doing what she does. These characters have to be my favourite so far. I absolutely loved them. They were broken and flawed and yet so strong. You couldn’t help but be drawn to them. The story itself felt explosive. It was so emotional, in a way that I didn’t expect. I could not put this book down and finished it all in one sitting. It was an amazing book and one I would definitely recommend.

When I first saw this anthology I was intrigued, I love these adult retellings of fairy tales so I was looking forward to that but for all of them to be of Red Riding Hood I wasn’t so sure but I have to say they were all great reads! I can’t believe they are all based on the same story but every single on is different! When I looked down the list of authors who feature in the anthology I was excited to see one of my favourites, Autumn Sand, along with some I have read books by and some who were new to me!
Ruby by Autumn Sand In this author’s true style I was hooked into the story straight away – it was romantic, sensual – everything I would expect from her! I really liked Ruby, her character came alive as the author did an amazing job with her characters visualisation – I felt like I was right there at times in the story. I was in awe of Ruby at times, she had so much going in her life both health wise and in relationship but she had a strength that I admired. This was probably my favourite story out of the anthology.
Cloaked by Lia Fairchild I love Ms Fairchild’s work so I was excited to see how she would retell Red Riding Hood. I loved the romance/thriller genre for this story and it was a really exciting read! The characters were well thought out and I really enjoyed the story. It was fast paced and thrilling. There were some good twists and turns with Vanessa (Eva) and Luke! This was definitely a favourite of mine in the anthology.
4 stars The story was engaging and easy to get drawn into. I liked the characters but felt that both Eva and Kingsley were super obnoxious at times. It was annoying that Kingsley would never come out and just say what he was to Eva, leaving her guessing at everything in their relationship. Eva is a strong woman but I can understand her hesitance to get too involved with Kingsley, being brokenhearted before, and not understanding anything that was going on between them. I was expecting something to happen with Kingsley’s friend Hazel, but was surprised to see it was Eva’s “friend” Crimson who started all the drama. Overall it was a great romance between the two main characters and again, a great story line.
I would really be interested to see a story about Marianna and Claire, Eva’s witch friends, and maybe even Kingsley’s brother.
“Witches and wolves don’t mix. Or do they?” Kingsley, the Artic Wolf doesn’t have a mate and had given up hope of finding his fated mate until Eva, a witch walks into his life throwing him a curveball. Meanwhile Eva had long given up on men and love but can not deny the chemistry between her and Kingsley, there is just something about him she can’t ignore. Kingsley also can not ignore Eva’s scent and is determined to win his mate over. This is a paranormal romance with a touch of magic, between a wolf shifter and a Witch. I loved the characters and the storyline line kept me hooked from page one. It was set in a wonderfully atmospheric Alaska setting. The chemistry between Eva and Kingsley sizzled off the page and there were some very heated scenes between the two of them. I was cheering them on to a happy ending. A great read.

AWESOME!!
This is absolutely my go to author now for any kind of crime, suspense fiction and actually any kind of genre. Her writing style is exactly what I love about reading and when I start one of her books I do not want to put them down or for them to end.
This book series could so easily be a TV series, while reading these books I can actually picture these scenes playing out and would love to add this to one of my binge lists LOL
This one had me all messed up, as per usual, I always think I can see what’s coming but then I realize why I’m just a reader. Petrosky is one of my favorite characters ever…He’s flawed, broken, and his inner dialogue makes me feel like I know him now. I absolutely felt all of his feelings dealing with the upcoming birthday of his daughter, and his interaction with Linda totally broke my heart. There is so much more than just solving cases when you read these books.
Not going into any more of this story, there’s a lot of moving parts in this book and every one of them are in perfect sync.
Read this series, seriously!! You won’t be sorry!! I can not wait to go back and read every one of them again.

You never really think that classic tale can be made even better by having a retelling, but these 12 incredible authors have done exactly that!
They have brought us along on numerous different unique journeys with different characters and captivating storylines for each! Each of these brings us a different genre whether that’s romance, fantasy, paranormal & erotica but no matter what you can be guaranteed that you will not put this read down! I love reading anthology’s they really help you experience different authors writing in one place but I always find that one or two reads that always stays with me the most and in this case its an author I am familiar with, Autumn Sand, and a new author Lia Fairchild both of these authors have created a brilliant read that was captivating and had me hooked from the very beginning, both of these reads were different one was filled with danger, suspense and romance, and the other had romance, second chances and me feeling all emotional. I couldn’t compare them together but one thing I do know is that each had me hooked and not wanting it to end!
I loved reading this anthology and can’t recommend it enough! I can’t wait to experience these authors writing again! I highly recommend this read, you won’t want to miss it!
Irresistible Valentine (Irresistible Romance Book 3). This is an anthology written by nine amazing authors!! I love these types of books!! You get to enjoy different stories and have a chance to find new authors. Two of my favorite books in this anthology were:
Two Hearts Reconnaissance by Tamara Ferguson. I have read mostly all of Ms. Ferguson’s books and I have loved them all!!! I absolutely love second chance romances. And that is just what Eve and Harry’s book is. This was an emotional story, very good friends, lose touch and years later find their way back to each other. You can’t help but hope for Eve and Harry to find their happiness.
The Player by Jaquie Biggar. I love sports romance stories, so this one was right up my alley. A sexy, hockey player, a crazy, ex-girlfriend and a PR agent….. will his career be saved or will the ex get her way? This one is sure to keep you interested.
IRRESISTIBLE VALENTINE (Irresistible Romance Book 3) Anthology. This is an amazing box set. Its got tons of sweet love stories and it is well worth your time reading them all. The story Two Heart’s Reconnaissance by Tamara Ferguson is the story of Eve Loughlin & Harry Giordano who became close friends as teenagers. They have dealt with being in Foster Care and overcome a ton of obstacles. As they grew up they grew apart because of different career paths. They are now back in their old home town, will they be able to reconnect on the level they had before? In The Player by Jacquie Biggar. Its the story of top NHL player Roy Donaldson who is dealing with the fallout of his crazy ex girlfriend stalking him and spreading lies all over the place. His manager decides to hire him a personal assistant to help clean up his public image. Enter Patience Kennedy who is sassy, independent and grew up with 3 brothers so she knows how to handle men. As they begin working together its very funny between them and their feelings grow. They fight hard and end up loving hard too. Will they be able to work out their relationship or will they let the outside world mess them up? This is an amazing group of love stories well worth your time to read them!
Devil’s Spawn ( Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter #6) by Manda Mellett. We now get Lizard’s book and also Mace!!!!!! This book made me an emotional wreck the entire time I was reading. This book was definitely a special treat though. It was like getting two books in one. Lizard has everything he wants: his MC brothers, family and women at his disposal. When a part of his past shows up into his present, will he realize that what he thought was everything he ever wanted was never what he actually wanted or needed….. This book was filled with love, heartache, second chances, rage and A LOT of emotions. I LOVED this book and I can not wait for more!!!!

This is another amazing book in the Satan’s Devils series. Each book that I read keeps getting better and better. One thing that I loved about this story is how the author shows the repercussions of a head injury. Lizard received a head trauma while serving his country. It didn’t affect only him but multiple people. It changed their lives dramatically. I think the author did an excellent job portraying the characters emotions and how they handled the situation.
Aside from this, there is the added storyline of Shay and Mace. This brought lots of action and danger. Ms. Mellett managed to tie the two storylines together seamlessly. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and am curious to see who Lindy will hook up with in the next book.

Wow what an amazing story full of twists and turns that keeps you hooked from the first page.
Ed Petrosky and his partner Jackson are called to a suicide or so it seems. On arriving they realise that the person who has committed suicide is little Greggie Boyle who went missing and reappeared years later.
Ed and Jackson start to investigate and are shocked when suicide isn’t the cause of death but murder is.
Then starts a rollercoaster of an investigation. No one is who they seem to be. Petrosky and Jackson have to retrace the investigation into Gregory’s disappearance to see if there is any connection.
This investigation deals with child abuse, kidnapping and murder but the people who are involved are people no one would expect.

Prophecy Girl is the first book in the Camille Bishop series by Ravin Tija Maurice. It is a very original mix of crime, mystery, and paranormal. This is my first read by Ms. Maurice, but after reading this story, it definitely won’t be the last. I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect going in to this book- but the blurb intrigued me enough to want to find out. While there were times the story lagged a bit as the foundations of the story/series were laid out and characters introduced- but, overall this was a great first instalment in what is shaping up to be a captivating series. Camille Bishop is a PI who thinks her first solo assignment looks to be a fairly straightforward paternity case- but things soon get quite complicated as interesting twists and developments are woven into the storyline. The paranormal element was quite a clever addition to the story and made the whole thing even more interesting and compelling. So, this first case for Camille sets her on an adventure of discovery- taking her on a journey that she never expected. The characters were all interesting, fully realised individuals with their own personalities, quirks and flaws. I am intrigued to see where the story and rest of the series will lead- what awaits us in book #2- can’t wait to dive in.

Serenade by T.K. Lawyer is an interesting read and a little different from the usual paranormal shifter stories. T.K. is a new author to me and I enjoyed the story of a witch and a wolf shifter and a slow burn romance.
Kingsley wants nothing more in life than to find his mate but telling her the truth of what he is needs to be done carefully or he could lose her forever and that is not an option. Now he has found his mate he is not willing to let her go but getting her proves harder than he imagined.
Eva has powers she is afraid of and her trust in men is non existent but she can’t help but want the strange sexy man she just met. If only she could trust him and not hurt him with her powers in return. He seems too good to be true and she soon finds out he may just be.
5 Star Serenade by TK Lawyer is a wonderfully written story that once I started reading I couldn’t put down. I found myself lost in the pages and had to know what happens next. The characters are very well developed and the story flowed. I loved Kingsley and Eva. Kingsley is a wolf and is looking for his mate. He’s quite popular with the ladies but has yet to find his soul mate. Eva finds Kingsley to be very good looking but after her last relationship she’s not quite ready to date. What does the future look like for these two? What happens when she finds out he’s a wolf shifter? Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author

Each one is cleverly written and shaped by their imagination to give each a modern twist that will leave you wanting more as they include paranormal and fantasy, erotica and romance, BDSM and reverse harem, and so much more. Trust me the pages will keep turning as you get a taste for these sexy, stimulating and tempting snacks. I have found myself some new authors, I liked their stories so much.
A Study in Spirits (College Fae book #2) by Byrd Nash is a young adult book and it’s a real easy read. Wonderful characters that pull you right in and you feel like you know them. This is a sweet little story about magical creatures and humans living together and working together, having friendships together and solving a mystery together. It’s a Wonderful World and my time was well spent reading this book.

Hail Mary by Hope Anika is an intriguing mystery with a really well-woven plot full of drama, humour, emotion, suspense, tension, and danger- as well as a spicy romance. This is my second book by Hope Anika, and is my favourite, so far. A robbery throws together Beau Greystone, a former DEA agent turned small town sheriff, and Wynn Owens who is a little damaged and jaded from her past experiences, and who has had her share of run-ins with the law. Beau is a haunted man- the murder of his wife scarring him both physically and emotionally. He has been on auto pilot ever since. But now he has a responsibility to the townspeople- what starts as a robbery case soon evolves into a murder investigation, with the past and present colliding. Things heat up and sparks fly, while danger is never far away. What ensues makes for an exciting read. Looking forward to more from Ms. Anika.

I found myself on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going to happen next. I’ve read every book in this series and I highly recommend if you haven’t started it, to read them in order. This book is my favorite yet. In this book our favorite detective Petrosky is back at it again. Detective Petrosky is called to a house of a boy who appears to have committed suicide. Imposter is the seventh book in the Ash Park series by Meghan O’Flynn. Although these book can be read as standalone, I would highly recommend you read them in order. Ms. O’Flynn is really a master at giving us a brilliant psychological thriller. The twists and turns will have you wondering how Meghan comes up with the plots for her books. This is the best book in the series so far. Detective Petrosky is back, looking into a suicide that is not really a suicide. Just when you think you know who the killer is, BAM, there is another twist. I love how this series makes me think. I do have to say that this series is not for the feint of heart. Marked for Death (A Gray Ghost Novel Book 6) by Amy McKinley is another great addition to this series and another prime example of why Amy is such a good writer. While this can be read as a standalone, I strongly suggest that you start reading from the beginning, that way you get all the backstories and get to know the characters and the family of the Gray Ghost team. This new gripping instalment starts with the action, suspense and thrills right from the start and continues throughout. Marked for Death is a romantic suspense story that is full of drama and violence, mystery and intrigue, danger and twists and plenty of palpable emotions that pop off the page. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time whilst devouring page after page just to know what was happening.

This is the sixth book in this series, I loved it just as much as the previous books. This can be read as a stand alone but I highly suggest reading the entire series as they are that good. This is a well developed story that is creative. The author’s attention to detail made me feel as if I was right there with the characters. Keegan and Kara make the story engaging and kept me turning pages. The secondary characters are supportive and just as engaging. Keegan and his team were hired to rescue Americans when they came across Kara. Kara realizes that they are on a similar mission but will happen when she realizes that she knows Keegan? What will she do when she finds that her feelings for him haven’t left? What will happen to their mission? They are my favorite characters and I loved their chemistry. I highly recommend reading their story to see if survival is part of the mission.

I loved this book. This is a young adult-adult coming of age that pulled me in right from the beginning. This is not my first book by this author but it is my favorite. This is a well written story that has characters that are developed and engaging. Anne comes from an abusive home growing up so when her mother leaves, she is sent to live with her aunt. She ends up at a boarding school where her past and present soon collide. Will she find the love, hope and strength to survive? This story took me on an emotional roller coaster which kept me turning pages. I loved watching Anne grow throughout the story. I highly recommend reading Anne’s story.
A Study In Spirits Collage Fae Book 2. By Byrd Nash is a YA coming of age fantasy book. Accused of vandalism and stealing test answers, Brigit must find the guilty party to stay at Leopold Otto University. I really enjoyed reading this book, quite lighthearted and very easy to finish. I started on book 2, so will have to go back a read number 1 now. This is the second book by Byrd Nash I have read and I think I’ve added a new favourite author to my list. Her writing is just brilliant. Thanks for another great read.

Cade by A.S. Roberts is the third book in the Default Distraction series. Each of these books can be read as standalones although personally I think they are best read in order as you learn about the characters from the start. This book is just brilliant. The characters have such an intense chemistry I could feel it in every page. Their connection was immediate and is definitely what drew me in to this story. Once I had started reading about them I simply couldn’t stop. I am really enjoying this series. Each book seems to be better than the last, even when I can’t believe the author could make it any better. The stories and gripping and the characters are varied and interesting. I find they are all capturing my attention but all for completely different reasons. This is an extremely good series and one I would recommend.
This book! Like I am legit struggling with how to properly blubber on about it with as much passion and excitement that I want to without giving away too much and spoiling this gem for anyone else. This is a new author to me and honestly I went in blind solely based off the bada** cover that graces it. I was so glad to find that the contents behind that cover would blow me away just as much as it did. This book will take you on a journey you didn’t know was missing from your life and leave you addicted and craving the next fix/book as soon as you possibly can get your hands on it. I know that is exactly where I am right now. Only saving grace for me was I can go read other released novels of hers while I wait!
Summer Princess is quite the tale of love, drama, danger, fae, and mystical creatures that will surely steal your heart away. Almost immediately you are thrust into this dark and disparaging world with the main character, Emilia. She is forced to find a way to survive in the darkness right along with the fae themselves. What will ensue will be an adventure and a romance you don’t want to miss. I can’t say enough good about this book so go read it for yourself and find out just what you are missing!
Prophecy Girl is the first book in Ravin Tina Maurice’s Camille Bishop series. Bishop is a PI, just starting to take her own cases. What seems like a simple case – a young woman worrying that the man she thinks is her father might not be – quickly turns complicated. The case leads Bishop into a paranormal world, and offers to shed some light on the fate of her own parents.
I like how this series combines the genres of mystery and paranormal. The story is very much grounded in reality, and so takes the reader along when it expands into fantasy.
Bishop is an interesting character. She’s very self-analytical, but nonetheless confident and determined to finish the job. She’s got a good support network and reaches out to them for advice and help – I particularly like her cousin Kiera, who followed the family tradition of joining law enforcement.
This is a great book if you can’t decide whether you want to read a classic mystery or a paranormal adventure. It would also be a good way to get a taste for one of the genres if you’re already familiar with the other – a way to bridge the gap. For me, it’s a four star book. Great characters, and an intriguing story!
