Mountains Series Boxed Set:(Books 1-3) By Phoebe Alexander – Review by Meg Tyrrell

Mountains Series Boxed Set: (Books 1-3)Mountains Series Boxed Set: by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Mountains Series Box Set includes the first three books of the amazing love story of Sarah and James. It’s a “military romance” but with very different twists and turns like I’ve never quite encountered within the same story and author. Normally to get this kind of steamy romance, I need a few different authors to surprise me but Phoebe DELIVERS. I absolutely LOVE this author and the fact that with every single book she had me blushing and looking around to see if anyone noticed. This reason and multiple others is why I keep coming back to her! In my opinion you absolutely have to read all three of these books in order, and READ THEM. Such an amazing box set.

Two Hearts Unlikely Heroes (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance #9) by Tamara Ferguson’s.
I have read every single book in the Wounded Warrior Romance and there has not been one that I have not truly loved!
You can not help but fall in love with these characters and the storylines. The story is so extremely realistic that you almost believe that you are involved yourself. Sam and Ben’s story I loved. While deployed, Sam was involved in an attack on the convoy that she was in. It was a brutal attack and Ben was there to save her. While Sam is being targeted, Ben will do everything and anything to keep her safe. Will he be able to save her again?

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Indebted to the Vampires (House of Durand book 1) by Erin Bedford is a 4 star read.
Piper Billings is a little down on her luck, she lost her job and ended up sleeping in her car so when an employment agency sends her for a live in maid position she knows she must do what she can to keep this job especially after she breaks a 15 million dollar vase. The six incredibly good looking men who live in the house aren’t making her job easy, when she finds out they’re vampires she’s not sure whether to run or stay and wonder if they will bite her. This book ends on a cliffhanger but don’t worry the rest of the series is already out.
I felt this book was a little slow to start but I couldn’t stop turning the pages, the author knew how to keep you interested and leave you wanting more.

Rockin' It Home (Lawson Family #3)Rockin’ It Home by Tracey Cramer-Kelly
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I completely devoured this book. I loved Ben! He’s this big bad rockstar who is amazing at everything he does but suffers from a drinking problem. He is now assigned to a personal assistant to keep him in line. I absolutely loved Danielle. This isn’t what she really wanted to do for living but at least it was a paycheck. Their chemistry was amazing despite the rough start. You can’t help fall for Ben who is coming out of a rough divorce and loves his daughter so much!

This book was a complete rollercoaster of emotions and so beautifully written and I cannot wait for more

Indebted To The Vampires by Erin Bedford. Piper is down on her luck having lost her apartment, living out of her car and flitting between jobs, she is given a final offer from the temp agency she needs to make this work. Working as a maid in the House of Durand is not at all as she expected, her bosses are unusual to say the least but also very Hot!! I absolutely love this book, Piper is anything but the perfect maid she breaks things, trips on thin air and has just the right amount of sass. She sure has caught the attention of all six brothers in the Durand household. Such a easy read, I finished this book in a few hours, I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this book. This is not my first book by this author but it is my favorite. It is a well written story that I was pulled into from the very beginning. The characters are connectable and made the story feel realistic. The twists and turns that Beau and Wynn took me on had me sitting on the edge of my seat as well as turning pages fast. Beau is a newly appointed sheriff. Wynn has had trouble with the law in the past. Beau shows up on Wynn’s doorstep questioning her residents about the robbery. This is where the story picks up and I couldn’t put it down. Rules are broken and the past comes to the present. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next.

Hail Mary
By Hope Anika
5 out of 5 stars

The story Hail Mary by Hope Anika is a romantic suspense book. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It has mystery, romance, and characters that I loved reading about. First, there is Sheriff Beau Greystone. He is a former DEA agent who is haunted by the past. The murder of his wife and an injury that he received at the same time. He finds himself elected as sheriff and investigating a bank robbery. That is when he meets Wynn Owens. Wynn is not someone who trusts easily. Events her past shape who she is today. Then she meets Beau. The chemistry, sparks, and in the case of Wynn, her wit, has them not sure what to think of each other. She is trying to keep one of her elderly tenants out of trouble. He finds himself with a killer to catch. What does the future hold for Beau and Wynn? Will they be able to get over the past and take a chance on each other? Will the killer be caught? Read this book to find out. This story is written in such a way that I felt like I was right there with the characters trying to follow the clues to catch a killer. The book also had my emotions going up and down in moments. I found myself caring about what happens to Wynn and Beau and wanted them to find happiness. There are additional characters that are introduced, and I enjoyed many of the interactions between them, Wynn, and Beau. This is a story that had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. This is a book I would highly recommend reading.

I enjoyed this young adult story. This is an author I have enjoyed from the first book I picked up. She writes with creativity and her details make the story feel realistic. This book is no different, page turning fast reading. This story is about mystery, making new friends and magic. Brigit has been accused of stealing and vandalism. In order for her to stay at the University she must find the person who is behind it. Will she find who did it with the help of Logan and the new girl who seems to know the guilty? These are great characters that are supportive of each other. They are connectable and made the story engaging. I highly recommend reading this book to find out who is really behind the crimes.

FLOWERS IN DECEMBER TRILOGY: Flowers in December, Coming Home, Second Chance by Jane Suen – Review by Jennifer Gordon

FLOWERS IN DECEMBER TRILOGYFLOWERS IN DECEMBER TRILOGY by Jane Suen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this box set of Jane Suen’s ‘Flowers in December Trilogy’, containing the complete trilogy, ‘Flowers in December’, ‘Coming Home, and ‘Second Chance’. The stories follow the romance between Connor Norton and Mary Ann and the obstacles they faced. In the first book a grieving Connor returns to his small hometown which he has not visited for twenty years and he’s only back now because his mother has died. Connor now finds himself alone with only his elderly tabby cat Tom for company and then he meets Mary Ann whilst buying flowers. In ‘Coming Home’, it’s a Christmas story and Connor is back visiting his childhood home and meets Alana the estranged daughter of his next door neighbour but he also can’t forget Mary Ann. All three of them come together over a magical Christmas. In the final story, ‘Second Chance’, florist Mary Ann is happy running her successful flower shop but is still thinking of the grieving man she met four months ago when he came into her shop for flowers for his mother’s funeral, however she’s not seen Connor since. Then he returns leaving his job and his city life behind him and wanting to start a new life with Mary Ann who has moved on, however a well timed snowstorm brings the couple together giving Connor and Mary Ann a second chance.
This trilogy is a “clean and wholesome, small-town sweet romance”, which is best read as a series and in order. I loved the storyline and the characters all set in a lovely small town setting. The details that author Jane Suen includes made the place and the people come alive for me. I was fully immersed in the story and was pleased I could continue the series and I read the books one after the other. I found I went on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading this heart warming trilogy and I was cheering the main characters on hoping that Connor and Mary Ann would have a ‘happy ever after’ especially as their chemistry sizzled off the page.
I recommend this trilogy by Jane Suen and I’m looking forward to reading more by this author.

By Byrd Nash
5 out of 5 stars

The story A Study in Spirits A Study in Spirits (College Fae book #2) by Byrd Nash is a coming of age/fantasy book. It is a story that will pull you in from the beginning and I found myself not wanting to put it down. It is the second in a series and I loved the magical creatures and other characters that are introduced. The author did an amazing job in building a world where humans, fae, and others all live and in this book work together. I loved reading the characters of Brigit and Logan. Brigit finds that she must defend herself against accusations that could get her thrown out of the university. She now must discover who or what is destroying books in the campus library. Along with Logan, Emma, and others, she sets about finding the guilty party. Will they find out the truth about who is behind the destruction at the library? Read this book to find out. This story flows smoothly and I found myself feeling like I was right there with the characters. I found myself lost in the pages and when I read the last chapter wishing that it was a little longer. I would recommend reading this book.

I also loved Wynn’s soft side. This was an excellent read and I highly recommend it!

How Could I Forget (Plentiful in Love Book 1) by N.D. Jackson – Review by Lianne Probert

How Could I ForgetHow Could I Forget by N.D. Jackson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

How could I forget is the first story in a brand new series by this author.
Kayla and Dan have a rocky start to their relationship, and when they reunite years later Dan is very surprised to find out he is a father. The story follows the pair as they get to know each other again and find the best way to parent together.
The main characters are really likeable and you are really rooting for them throughout to rekindle their romance. It isn’t all smooth sailing, they face personal and professional challenges along the way, but this just makes the story even more believable. The highlight for me though was Aunt Tilly, the older lady has so much attitude and life about her, I’d love to see her pop up in future books.

How Could I Forget (Plentiful in Love Book 1)How Could I Forget by N.D. Jackson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book reminds me of one of those Lifetime or Hallmark movie storylines and I’m a cornball, I love it! Kayla is gorgeous, lively, kind and untouchable. She and Dan spent one night together. A night filled with heat and passion to fill one another’s pleasures. Just as quick as started, it was over. After graduation, they’d said goodbye forever (or so they thought) until he found her AGAIN two houses down but 4 years later.
Dan was the cute nerd with gorgeous eyes. Intelligent, reserved, and soft-spoken. Kayla was just as taken with him as he was about her. As cautious as he was, it made her see him in a different light completely. Even though it was one night, their bodies hungered for one another. Their lives changed forever in one night until Dan showed back up where their lives would change forever.
This book is beautifully written and you can’t help but fall for the characters. You find yourself wanting for the characters to confide their inner desires and wind up together. This gives hope to love you pray they share together. Great read!

Imposter: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 7) by Meghan O’Flynn – Review by Naomi McDonald

Imposter: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 7)Imposter: An Ash Park Novel by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Imposter is volume seven in the Ash Park series.

Suspense. Intrigue. Mystery. A roller coaster of twists and turns. It’s everything you would expect from a book by Meghan O’Flynn. Imposter is a stay-up-all-night, unputdownable reading adventure. I mean, who can sleep when there is a mystery to solve??? (Seriously, this is not a book you can read in short spurts – make sure you have a good chunk of time available).

Great world building, and characters with depth bring this story to life.

Definitely a spectacular read!!!!

FLOWERS IN DECEMBER TRILOGY: Flowers in December, Coming Home, Second Chance by Jane Suen was filled with emotion. Book one had me full of sadness, two opened up a feeling of hope for me, and three filled me with joy. These books were easy to read and follow. I loved how the author included other characters point of view in the main storyline starting in book two. It helped create a bigger picture of what was happening. I really enjoyed having these books in a collection. It made it so much easier to move to the next book. Great read!

Lisa: Coming Of Age (Book 1 of The Guardian Shifters) by KM Lowe – Review by Lianne Probert

Lisa: Coming Of Age (The Guardian Shifters, #1)Lisa: Coming Of Age by K.M. Lowe
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have always been a fan of paranormal romance, and this book did not disappoint.
The story starts with best friends Lisa and Markus, whose bond goes much deeper than they realise.
As far as Lisa knows, she was abandoned on the hospital steps when she was a baby. She was brought up by her loving adoptive parents, but she knows nothing about where she came from. As past secrets force their way to the forefront, Lisa must deal with the fact that she is a shifter, something she has trouble believing. Luckily Lisa has a great support system in Markus, Jasper and other shifters we meet throughout. They help her come to terms with who she is, and to get ready for the biggest battle of her life.
I was completely sucked into this story and can’t wait to read the rest of the series. I loved the relationship between Lisa and Markus, but I think my favourite character was Jasper so I can’t wait to find out more about him as the series goes on.
I would definitely recommend this book.

Ben is incredibly sweet, especially to Sam. Sam is determined, strong, smart, and caring. I looked forward to this book since the others were fantastic and was not disappointed. I am looking forward to the next story in this series!

“Hardy har har,” Wynn retorted. “How did it happen?”

“How did what happen?”

The growl in his voice probably cowed a great many folks. She didn’t happen to be one of them. Even if he was big and intense and talked about delivering death like it was the mail. “Your leg.”

He didn’t respond. Instead, he stood at the sink and stared out into the storm.

“Is it a state secret?” she wanted to know. “A matter of national security? An injury suffered while on a clandestine mission that you can’t talk about under penalty of death? Did they make you swear on a Bible?”

“You’re a piece of work,” he said.

“I know.” When he turned to glower at her, she smiled. “It’s a gift.”

His gaze fell to her mouth, and awareness speared through her, a hot, electric slide that made her cheeks burn.

He was attracted to her, the same way she was attracted to him. And he didn’t like it.

Not one bit.

You and me both,bucko…

When a local bank robbery brings newly elected Sheriff Beau Greystone to Wynn Owens’ front door, she has only two things to give him: the endless bounty of her caustic wit and a one-finger salute. Wynn has history with the law, none of it good. And the notion that one of her elderly tenants might have something to do with the robbery is just plain crazy.

A former DEA agent, Beau owes his newly minted badge solely to his meddling aunt and his own foolish indifference. Recovering from the murder of his wife—and the debilitating injury caused by the explosion that killed her—Beau has been happily checked out for some time. But the people of Blossom Hills are counting on him to do his job, and bringing a bank robber to justice is a fine place to start…until the killer that’s haunted the town for the last decade abruptly returns.

Wynn has a tenant to exonerate; Beau, a killer to catch. Neither is prepared for the compelling but unwelcome current between them, or the unexpected circumstances that will force them to reassess the rules by which they live. But the clock is ticking, and they must decide: adapt and evolve, or surrender to the past and the dark malevolence that has risen within it….

After gaining her B.A. degree in journalism in the year of the oil bust and 21% unemployment, Byrd scraped what some people called a living (she called it working starvation) employed as a reporter for a bunch of newspapers you never heard of in rinky-dink small towns.

Working the cop and school beat, she enjoyed the excitement of being underpaid by the sexist owners of newspapers while having her life threatened by a vagrant.

After her life wandered about, working as a museum director, horseback riding instructor, and kid’s party planner, she decided enough was enough.

Always writing, the many stories in her head are now given permission to fly free.
