The story Don’t Let Me (Simplicit Duet Book 1) by Marie Skye is an awesome and amazing book to read. It is a story that pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the very end. It is a book that has an amazing plot/storyline and equally wonderful characters. The characters are well-developed and I loved reading about them. They are dark and brooding, conflicted, and mysterious. It is a story that gets better as you read and there are times when it left my mouth hanging open. This is a book that had my emotions going up and down the entire time that I was reading it. There are very steamy scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. They will make you swoon and reach for a glass of cold water. The atmosphere that the book creates is at times dark and will have you wondering what is going to happen next. There is intense and emotional dialogue. What does the future hold for the characters in this story? Read this book to find out. This is a story I would highly recommend reading.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Don’t Let Me (Simplicit Duet Book 1) by Marie Skye was an intriguing and sizzling read. There were things I loved and things I hated and it was as frustrating as it was addicting. AND OMG the ending, well let’s just say I went, NO she did not!, you can’t be serious. It just puts everything I had read in doubt. It is a story of a love triangle that is so sizzling you will need a cold shower. I both loved and hated the main characters but they were well written and the story and mystery kept the pages turning. Marie has well in the weaving of the plot and where everyone stands or at least where everyone you though stands. There are secrets and lies, betrayal and hurt but there is also so much love. But come to the end and all bets are off and like I said earlier, NO she did not!, that came from so far out left field there is no more left.

Olivia is drawn into a relationship with one man who is in games with another man but she doesn’t know and falls in love with them both. When her past learns she is still alive things take a dramatic turn.

Damien and Jaxon are best friends and have always played the game but now the stakes are so much higher and one of them will get burned.

This is a must read, now I have to sulk until the next installment.

This is a must read story! I loved how I was pulled right into the story right from the beginning. The story is creative, engaging and made me feel as if I was part of the story. This story is about betrayal, secrets and you don’t want to miss the steam. Olivia, Damien, and Jaxson took me on an emotional ride that I couldn’t get enough off. They are strong characters but really Olivia is the one holding them all together, my favorite. This is a must read triangle romance you don’t want to miss.

Temptation is a sneaky bitch that brought two men in my life and I wanted them both. One left without saying a word. The other asked me to be his and I said yes. I moved on…so I thought.

Life isn’t a fairytale. Everyone has a secret. Everyone has a flaw. And mine? Well, sometimes vows aren’t for everyone.

They say there’s two sides to every story, but the truth makes three. In case you didn’t hear me the first time, let me repeat it.

Life isn’t a fucking fairytale.

She Was Mine by Marie Skye – Review by Jenni Bishop

She Was MineShe Was Mine by Marie Skye
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

WOW this is certainly an explosive end to the story of Emmalin and Grayson. Marie certainly has a way with words when she writes and there is so much emotion in the story telling. You will definitely need tissues to get you through this one. By the time I was finished I felt like I had been through an emotional wringer. Just like the other books about our characters, it was not all rainbows and stars, it takes you to some dark and twisted places that you are not sure you want to go but you just can’t say no and put the book down. Having said that, some of the issues that are faced in this book may not be for everyone.

Grayson and Emmalin have had many trials and tribulations, heartache and pain to overcome in the other books and they had more in this book that tore my heart out. I have felt every step of the way with these characters and had a lot invested in them. You know it is a good story when you feel so many emotions rush through you as you go on their journey with them. Even though there were a lot of hardships in this book there were also those times that made me smile. If you are a lover of this series, and even if you are not then you should read this book.

Suddenly Us by Marie Skye – Review by Jenni Bishop

Suddenly UsSuddenly Us by Marie Skye
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Gwen wants love in her life but it’s easier said than done. After years of giving love to the one, he took it and never gave it back, did he? All he did was hurt her in more ways than one. Gwen was never good enough for him or his family, he thought she was worthless and made her believe it. He degraded her because he could. But Gwen stayed because she thought it was love, wasn’t it? She did not know any different, she had been told it her entire life. She has been destroyed. She holds a secret she has never told anyone.

Hawkins was in the military forces but now he has a good job in security. He is good at his job and will do whatever it takes to keep others safe. But a failure from his past continues to torment him. If he closes his eyes he is haunted everyday by a horror he can not forget. He has sworn to one day make it right. He worries that it could happen to those he loves and cares about but he would die before that happens, he could not live with himself if it happened.

Will Gwen find love? Can she live with all that has happened in her life, or will it finally break her? Can she trust? Can Hawkins put his past behind him? Can he finally start to enjoy love? Will Hawkins throw it all away?

Gwen is such a strong, brave and beautiful person. You can not help feeling for her for all she has had to endure. All she has ever wanted is to be loved and I wanted to take her home and make it all better. Hawkins is the man, although he comes across a little too strong at times but he truly is a good man who loves hard and fast and is also one sexy man. He knows what he wants and goes after it. This is a great story. I recommend reading this captivating story. I definitely want to read more from this author.

Suddenly Us by Marie Skye

This is my first book by this author and I guarantee won’t be my last. There is a lot in this story that I loved but the best part is she hit on one of my favorite characters, the ultimate strong Alpha Male!

Hawkins, ex military suffering from PTSD due to a failed mission that is haunting him every day of his life and every relationship in his life. One failed marriage that just won’t go away and a job in security protecting the girlfriend of a very rich extremely protective man.

Gwen, the best friend of the girlfriend Hawkins is hired to protect. Suffering herself from the lowest self esteem brought on by a 5 year abusive relationship and an equally bad break up, that also will just not go away, not to mention a severely non supportive family.

Gwen and Hawkins first meet and there is an undeniable attraction. Each tries to fight it because neither believes they deserve it or that it could be real. Gwen enters the dating world meeting in person a man she met online, unaware that her best friend asked Hawkins to dine at the same restaurant and keep an eye out. This first date ended as quick as it started as he fell into the same loser category, enter Hawkins who goes into protective mode immediately. Although they both try to fight the attraction what lies ahead for both of them is undeniable. Can they find their way to each other through both their haunted pasts? Can he convince her she deserves to be put first instead of second best. Can she help him through his haunted memories and be able to handle his guilt of a failed mission that he is determined to make right?

There are so many obstacles these two have to deal with in this story. Each one caught me off guard and when you think you know what’s going to happen and you have the story figured out Marie Skye tears that rug right out from underneath you. I absolutely adored the secondary characters in this book, and hope that I can read more about them in the future, as well as these two characters that tore my heart out through every page. I fell in love with both of them. He definitely has been added to my favorite book boyfriends list, and she while battling the lowest self esteem still had the strength to push his buttons at every turn. The story is beyond fantastic, and I especially loved that there were just enough sizzling hot sex scenes to make the storyline front and center. Loved it and it has all ready been added to my to be read again file.

Suddenly Us is absolutely beautiful novel I was hooked right from the very start and was unable to put the book down until I reached the very end it was that brilliant. This novel tells the story about Gwen and Hawkins and I tell you its not all smooth sailing for them. Gwen is a amazing heroine she has been and is still going through a really horrible time but she never let it defeat her she keeps fighting even at her lowest points. Gwen who has been really hurt recently by her sleezeball of ex Blake who verbally and physically abused her for years but she always took it never told anyway because she loved him and thought he loved her back but he was ashamed of her and always made her feel she weren’t good enough but she still kept fighting for it until he completely ripped her heart out and the awful thing is just when she turns her life around and becomes happy he manages to make her life hell all over again. Hawkins well he’s this sexy protective alpha who will have you panting he’s that hot ladies.. Hawkin has a dark past and continues to battle through the torment of his past daily. He will do everything he can to protect Gwen but when his past because his present and he’s able to fix the guilt he carries daily but he could end up losing everything? I loved Gwen’s and Hawkins’s story it was full of so many emotions it had me at the edge of my seat throughout with the drama and obstacles getting in there way it defiantly is a page turner so be prepared to get no sleep while reading this novel!! I would absolutely one hundred percent recommend this read you will defiantly not be disappointed!!!

Incapable by Marie Skye
I seriously don’t even know where to begin about this book… It’s simply amazing! I give it 5 stars and in all honesty, I would give it more if I could !! I got sucked in immediately! It’s extremely well written and thought out! I absolutely loved it! I can’t wait to find out what happens in the second book! Marie Skye is one of my new favorite authors!! Love her!!
Emmalin is a sweet, innocent and thriving woman. She is used to taking care of herself. She depends and trusts no one these day.
Grayson is an extremely rich, controlling and demanding man. He goes after what he wants…and more often than not, he gets it!!
Grayson is instantly attracted to Emmaline. He hasn’t felt this way about anyone in years. But it also frightens him a great deal.
She has a past, like everywhere else. But she tries to let Grayson in her life. But she is scared just as much as he is.
Can they both get past their fears and demons and move on… Together? Or will their past get the best of them?
I absolutely loved these characters.. They’re so raw and seem so darn real! Marie Skye has a real way with words!!! I can’t wait to see what happens next.
