This series fascinates me. I’ve had the privilege to read books 4 and 5 as well, and I love how it incorporates the triad of paranormal/supernatural creatures (vampires/witches/werewolves). The witty humor and the edge of your seat action make it hard to put down. I also love how connected the story world is because it’s easy to miss certain characters from previous books, but stories like this, you can see them from a different perspective as the spotlight is on someone else.

Master Campania (Masters of the Consulate Book 7) by Sylvia Black

Master Campania is the seventh book in the Masters of the Consulate Series and is a Paranormal Romance that once you start reading there’s no putting it down until you’ve finished. I’m a huge fan of this author and this series and highly suggest reading the previous books if you haven’t already started them as each book is about a different character but some of them overlap plus you’ll have a better understanding of what has happened. This series just keeps getting better and better with each new book. There’s plenty of drama, vampires, suspense, mafia, magic and so much more to keep you turning the pages till the end. Willow and Master Campania are very intriguing and the their story is a bit intense and steamy at times. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 7)Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black

I love that each of the books in the Masters of the Consulate Book series are all standalone books, yet they build upon the whole of the storyline. Currently, I’ve read book 6 and book 7 and now want to go back to the beginning and read through the entire series before book 8 comes out. I am so intrigued by the story of how each Vampire Master has met their amazing mates! Sylvia Black is one of the best authors we have today when it comes to writing about the different mythical creatures of the world, including witches, vampires, shapeshifters (werewolves), telepathies, and so much more. The way that she has developed this world that normally is against one another’s races are drawn to comingle one with another is so awesome. If you are into reading a good paranormal book, with romance, drama, and a battle of good vs. evil, then this is a series that you will not want to miss. The characters are so dimensional, and the fact that you get to experience the storyline from both the male and female main character’s point of view is just ingenious.

For such a quick read, I was absolutely blown away by the 7th book in the Masters of the Consulate series! I love this author and am always excited when I get to pick up another magnificent work of art from her. If you have responsibilities, take care of them before you pick this book up because you will absolutely neglect them after you get lost in this story. The way the author is able to craft such a dangerous, magical realm with characters you can’t help but be invested in is unbelievable. Campania and Willow have such an intriguing chemistry and the author keeps you engaged with them the whole way through. I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series!

Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 7)Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Master Campania is the seventh book from the Masters of the Consulate series. I have not read all of the books so far but I have read a few of them. Even though each book is about one of the Vampire Masters finding their mates, there is a subplot connecting each book to each other. Each book can technically be read as a stand alone, but I suggest reading each book of the series to be fully engaged with the characters.

This time around, it’s about Master Campania and Willow, who is a witch. Vampires and witches are enemies and can never be fated mates right? Well Campania and Willow are both starting to wonder if that is true or not.

Master Campania is looking for a group of witches he heard was in his territory. He’s hoping to get some information out of them about rogue vampires who are working with witches. When he finds the group he is looking for, he is instantly attracted to one of them. Campania convinces her (Willow) to come have a civil talk and he will leave her and her friends alone.

Although Willow has left the academy, she still felt connected to her fellow witches and lied to Campania about where he could find some rogues. Before Willow and her friends can escape, Campania catches on and appears to the group of females. He kidnaps them and keeps Willow with him. She WILL help him if she wants to see her friends again.

Thus begins the classic tale of enemies to lovers. There is a strong connection between the two of them but years of being taught to despise each other’s kind is bound to get in the way. Will they be able to put their differences aside for the greater good?

Once again the author was able to create a romantic scene within a world of darkness. I loved each book of this series I have read so far and can’t wait to read about the next Master of the Consulate!

Once again, I loved another addition of the Master’s of the Consulate series. Master Campania and the other purebloods are still on the hunt for rogue witches and shifters. Campania seeks information from local witches who have left their coven. What he doesn’t realize is that the witch he finds will have a connection to him. Willow is a powerful witch who has left her coven due to not agreeing with the leader. She is hoping to just live her life peacefully but knows exactly who Campania is when he walks into the bar. Very quickly they move from enemies to lovers. However, Campania always doubted the witches because of the history the vampires have with them. Even though both feel the psychic connection, he speaks of the lack of trust which breaks Willow’s heart. In the end, both realize what needs to be done and how they need each other to survive this life. This isn’t the last installment of this series so does end with their story finished, but another will take place. As usual, I loved their story. These books are short, sweet, entertaining, to the point, with a little romance involved. Both characters were loveable. The couple had great banter and chemistry. I can’t wait for the next one.

Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 7)Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is book 7 of the Masters of the Consulate series and these books just keep getting better and better. As the Masters get closer to bringing down the rogue vampires the story really keeps you on the edge of your seat. And with this being a paranormal romance there is a fated mates element too in the form of Master Campania and Willow.
Master Campania is a confirmed bachelor, never wanting to settle down with a woman until he meets Willow. However, everything says they shouldn’t be together, the main reason being he is a vampire and Willow is a witch. With bad blood between them can they even trust each other enough to make a relationship work?
Their connection is so strong and the chemistry between them is so hot that both parties could end up burning in the flames.
Campania searches Willow out to help him find the witches that are helping the rogue vampires and shifters who are determined to destroy the life that the vampires have created.
However he gets more than he anticipated when he finally gets his witch.

This story is fast paced and full of action as well as high emotions. The writing really drags you into the story making you feel every confusing emotion that Campania and Willow go through on their path to discovering what they mean to each other.
The story ends setting us up perfectly for the next book. Will the Masters of the Consulate finally be able to rid themselves of the rogue vampires and threat to their way of life or will they escape again? And what part do the witches play? I have a feeling that there is something deeper going on with the witches and the side the choose.

This was my 1st spooky season read & it was good for dipping my toes in! Brimming with vampires & witches & magic & werewolves, it definitely matches the vibe. The storyline moves right along & there’s never a dull moment. Willow is so easily likeable, I never got annoyed with her decision making or thought she was doing too much. She is brave & sweet & fights for what she believes in. Campania is smoldering & sexy & also never p*ssed me off lol. They had a steamy scene but I wished for more! The other characters were all great too & really solidly supportive. & we always love a good girl power moment ! It was refreshing to read something entertaining without getting my emotions bounced around a Nascar racetrack lol.

This is the seventh book in the Masters of the Consulate Series. They are all just so good. The world that has been built in these books is so deep. I love that these characters are so complex and different. Campania does not like witches so of course his mission he is on involves dealing with one. I love the story between Campania and Willow. Their attraction is off the charts. As with the rest of the series it is hard to put this book down.

Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 7)Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Master Campania is Book Seven in the Masters of the Consulate series. It is an edgy, enemies to lovers, paranormal romance with vampires, witches, magic, drama, danger, action, suspense, chemistry, passion, love, and fated mates. Although this book could possibly be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the first books in the series because they will introduce you to some of the recurring characters that pop up. Putting that aside, it is an amazing series that you will not want to miss out on.

This book centers on the characters of Master Campania and Willow and is told from each of their points of view. Master Campania is a vampire that rules the south of Italy with an iron fist. Nobody would dare lie to him or betray him because they would not live to see another night. When Master Campania learns of rogue shifters and traitorous vampires teaming up with a group of witches, he is determined to find them and put a stop to them. Master Campania sees all and knows all in his dark underworld, so he knows where a group of witches have been living and where they like to socialize.

Enter Willow, a witch who is out for a night of fun with her friends at a club that Master Campania frequents. Willow and her friends have fled the academy because they were tired of being under the thumb of the head witches, and the coven leader Devora. They are hiding out in Master Campania’s region thinking that nobody would think to look for them there. However, Master Campania is aware of the witches as well as where they are staying. When he spots Willow at the club, he approaches her and demands information on the whereabouts of the rogue witches. Willow is reluctant to tell him anything and instead gives him false information to buy them time so her and her friends can flee to safety. Unfortunately, Willow and her friends do not escape quickly enough, and Master Campania quickly hunts them down. He is now angry that she lied to him and is more determined to get the information he seeks. What he does not expect is to find this little witch so enchanting. Willow also finds herself attracted to Master Campania. What will become of this mutual attraction?

This was yet another fantastic book in this series! The author draws the reader in from the first few pages with a suspenseful, action-packed, and intense storyline. Master Campania is a dark, sexy, devious, and ruthless vampire that nobody dares to betray. He is used to getting his own way and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Willow is a feisty, bullheaded, smart, and charming witch that values her friends and will do anything to protect them. When Master Campania and Willow first meet it is under less-than-ideal circumstances. They are opposites from two different worlds where vampires and witches have been taught that they are mortal enemies and that they must never mix. However, when Master Campania and Willow meet the chemistry and attraction between them is intense and undeniable. It was impossible to not continue reading to see if either would act on the attraction and if there was hope of them having a relationship. This book hooked me until the end and kept me riveted until the last pages. I cannot wait for book number eight!

When Campania locates a group of witches that step away from their coven hoping for a better life, Campania approaches in need of information…what he did not bargain for was a witch that is full of spunk and sass….Willow, whom initially lies to him….and he is back for her. Campania is on a focused mission to find these rogues, but is completely drawn to Willow…knowing she is a witch and he is a pureblood…and not a good mix. Oh my oh my… with Isla dead, the Master’s are now fighting to end the rogues from causing any more havoc.

Master Campania is on the hunt for witches to find the rogues. He finds Willow and forces her to tell him the truth of everything she knows. She lies at first and he goes on a wild goose chase until he catches up to her again and captures her friends. This changes Willow’s tune quite quickly and she helps because she will never put her fellow witches in harm’s way, especially her friends.

Master Campania is not a fan of the witches and he doesn’t hide it. Can Willow change his mind? Can she change her own?

This is a tense and bloody book with battles on both sides. It will keep you reading until you come to the end. You will be waiting with tense eagerness for the next book. I can’t wait.

Whew, the sizzle between these two is off the charts! I have read several in this series and the world just keeps getting bigger and more complex. Master Campania went searching for the witches in his territory, and found Willow who he is drawn to. From two different worlds, the odds are stacked against them. So of course that means we are really rooting for them. Great world building, great characters, and a great satisfying plot! Keep them coming!

This one really goes on a ride! I enjoy Willow and the path she takes. I am mot a fan of witches as they are usually so sneaky. Willow surprised me. She seemed weak but shockingly she has a backbone. Campania is a master vampire with some pretty impressive powers. He seems a little cold and one sided until “it” happens. You know. That moment when he realizes he would do ANYTHING for her. That changed my mind about him. It was nice to see the characters from the previous stories. Their sass still reminds me of their stories and fun times. Overall another good installment to this series

This is yet another great book by this author. I really love paranormal romances and this is one of my favorite authors. I really like how that the characters have such electric chemistry and that there is a great mix of adventure and romance. I was on the edge of my seat and could not put this book down. I love how there was an undertone of forbidden that just really added to the story. I really love how this author is able to bring the characters to life and grip the reader and hold on for the full journey. The ever growing fireworks between the main characters as the adventure goes forward brings the wanting to see the outcome grow just adds to the drama. I so look forward to reading more from this author as well as this series.

Master Campania is not happy that he has witches in his territory, and what is even worse is that they are defectors. When he is tasked with finding them and getting information from them, he can’t help but feel pulled toward one spunky witch in particular. Willow has heard about pure blooded vampires, how dangerous they are, to steer clear and to never trust one. However, as she is forced to help Campania find rogue witches that will in turn lead to rogue vampires, she can’t help but feel like she was lied to. Both have been told witches and vampires should never mix. Yet there is a definite magnetism between the two of them that neither can deny. Or can they? Will they be able to put aside past prejudices and work together to find the rogue witches and vampires?

This was a quick read for me. I have enjoyed reading this series from the beginning, and it was a good addition to the series. I would have liked to have had more story between Campania and Willow. But that is just me wanting to be immersed in their world a little bit longer. It seems like there will be one more book to wrap up the series. I am looking forward to seeing who has taken up the mantle of dissent. There are so many characters in this world that I would suggest reading them in order.

Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 7)Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Master Campania is the Master who looks after and rules in the south of Italy and he know everything and everyone who resides there, be them friend, enemy, or hum and neutral, he trusts the other vampires who work for him and he knows that if any of them betray him, they would not live to see another night, so when he is tasked with finding a group of witches who have teamed up with the traitorous vampires and rogue shifters, he jumps at the chance. Willow is a young witch who is desperate for her freedom, she and her friends have left the magical academy where they were studying their craft in order to experience what life is like outside of the strict rules and endless lessons which were filled with hatred for the vampire race, so the small group leave the academy and strike out on their own where they end up in a town run by vampires.

Master Campania starts his hunt as soon as he can and is driven through the towns and villages in his area so that he can find a witch and get the information which Overmaster Descallia has requested and he soon comes across a group who just happen to be in one of the nightclubs he owns, so he goes in to find out exactly what he wants to. Willow has been enjoying the peace she has found while her friends are out, but soon she has to get ready for a girls night out, so she gets ready and pops over to where they are due to have dinner and drinks, but just as they are all starting to enjoy themselves, in strides a vampire like he owns the place and she desperately tries not to lock eyes with him over the heads of the clientele between them, this however, doesn’t work that well and so she sends her friends away as he joins her at their table.

There is immediately an animosity between the two, but all Master Campania wants is information and he makes that abundantly clear from the beginning, but Willow is very reluctant to give him the information he wants, but she also cannot deny the attraction she feels for him either and it is extremely frustrating, so putting her sassiest attitude on, she gives him something purely so he will leave. Meanwhile Master Campania is trying to figure out this little enchantress and whether she is telling the truth, so when he threatens that he will find her again if her information is wrong, he knows by her reaction that that idea terrifies her, but he also can’t deny that she is a sassy, as well as very sexy enchantress and he doesn’t quite know how to react to this at all.

Willow and her friends decide to call it an early night, especially after she informs them of the contents of her previous conversation, so in a panic they decide that to cut and run is in their best interest, but as they are doing this, Master Campania is acting on her information, however, as soon as he realises that it is a false lead he keeps true to his threat and finds her again, but this time he doesn’t play nice and ensure her further cooperation. As soon as she is in a word, tamed, she is again asked for the information, but this time, she has to go along as well, but when the vampires find the witches, they will not go quietly and neither will the shifters accompanying them, so another bloody battle in the centuries long war commences and Master Campania cannot help but protect the little witch and even more so when she sees that something is happening to Master Descallia and aids him to protect him, but things don’t go smoothly and Willow ends up learning more about the secrets of his world than she should.

When sparks fly between the two, neither can resist the temptation of the other and Master Campania has to make a decision about Willow, keep her with him or lose her forever, but with it being against both their kinds rules, will they be able to work out the answer before danger comes creeping around, or will it be taken out of their hands before anything can be acted upon? This is a dark paranormal romance full of passion, magic, darkness and light which will pull you along on a dangerous rip tide of action and adventure with some steamy scenes included for good measure.

She makes you want to turn the pages faster than you can read it. I loved the vampire/ witch combo and I really enjoyed seeing some of the previous characters pop up in this one. characters. I’m so looking forward to the next one and kinda sad because I think it will be the last (this being number 7 out of 8 means there’s only one left right?) Skin warming intensity. Once again, Sylvia Black temps you into the dark world of Italy’s under dwellers of the night. This time with pureblood Master Campania and the little enchantress that is Willow. Following their story and how they get to their happy ending while hunting the rogues from both sides.
Campania is the master of the southwest part of Italy, where in most of the clubs all mingle together in peace, each respecting the lifestyles of the other. Willow and her friends were tired of always being under the watchful eyes of head witches and coven leader Devora, so they left the academy to finally find some freedom of their own. The story picks up essentially where it left off at the end of book six Master Calabrea. Overmaster Descallia has revealed several names of traitors and they have been dealt with but now the rogue witches responsible for helping the rogue vampires are on the run and hiding in Master Campania’s region. He will not quit until he finds them and gets the information he needs to hunt down and find the rogue vampires determined to reset the clock and force them back into the dark ages. Willow out on a night of fun with her friends comes face to face with Campania, a pureblood, the very thing she has been raised to hate. Refusing to give up her witch sisters because of rumors she feels are made up by the vampires she tells him a lie that quickly backfires when she’s not quick enough in disappearing again. While intrigued with Willow and her psychic abilities that could match his own, his look alone sets her blood racing and her skin tingling. With backup Campania goes to get Willow and her friends for her lie, but the fear in her eyes leaves him with an unfamiliar emotion that causes him to try something new to get the information he is after.
Will Campania get the information he needs, in time? Can Willow truly trust a vampire? The author continues to fill in the details of each region of her world with each book. Not only the beauty of the day but the mystery that lurks in the shadows of the night. Glimpses of Campania in previous books make you hungry to learn more about him, to get into his space and find the secrets and the author does not disappoint. Knowing a book will have a happy ending honestly pulls me in more than anything, knowing I will have that satisfaction at the end. I eagerly await the next instalment of the Masters of the Consulate series with book eight, Master Sardinia, October 19th, 2023.

I was so excited to get to read the latest story in this series. I love that they are all standalones, but if you can read them all and in order, it definitely is worth it! We find Master Campania working with the other Masters to deal with the rogues who are still causing trouble. He ends up meeting Willow, a witch just trying to live her life with some of her buddies and they end up having to work together. The chemistry between the two was electric and it was fantastic getting to see the reoccurring characters from other stories continue to be a part of the narrative, just enhances it. I loved how the characters interacted with one another and continued to build the relationships into the story. It was definitely full of action, adventure, and magic along with some very steamy scenes that you won’t be able to put down. I can’t wait for the final book and see the stunning conclusion!

Master Campania has been tasked with finding the traitors who live within the world of the Wiccan and so when he finds four witches in his area he tries to get the information out if them, but there is one problem, he seems drawn to one of them and is fighting the attraction.

Willow and her sisters have left the Academy in search of there own beliefs, finding a safe place in the regions is hard but having settle comfortable they are under no illusion they are safe. One night they are discovered by Master Campania and Willow’s whole world is turned around, but when she starts having feelings for the old vampire she is thrown into turmoil and can she control her feelings and stay alive.

This is seventh book in the Masters of Consulate series and oh my god it does not disappoint, although i feel the books can be read as stand alone stories it is better to read them as a series to understand the underlying theme and arc running through them.

The writing as always is engaging and with the twists and turns in the story will have you staying up late to finish off the story. The characters in this series are rich and full of depth and even though as like me this is not a normal genre you read you will be blown away with the imagination and she draws you in with each story I read.

I believe this series is continuing and can’t wait to read the next book in the instalment.

I was so excited to jump back into this series. it had been a little while since I had read the previous book in the series and I couldn’t wait to see what else this author had produced. This book was every bit as good as the rest of the series, if not better. I was pulled straight into this book and the characters. It is full of chemistry and intrigue and I couldn’t put it down from the moment I started reading.
This series keeps getting better and better, and does not seem to be slowing down any time. This author really knows how to create an amazing story. I never hesitate to pick up one of her books. I don’t read the blurb, I go in blind and wait to be taken on the ride. This is a brilliant book that I would highly recommend.

Master Campania (Masters of the Consulate Book 7) by Sylvia Black – Review by Melissa Saxton

Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 7)Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I can’t begin to describe how much I enjoyed this book.
It can easily be read as a stand alone, I did and I don’t feel I missed anything which is a tribute to the writer!
Vampires still hunting for rogues and the witches that may be helping these rogues causes Campania and Willow to cross paths and phew! The instant chemistry is real.
Paranormal romance, fated forbidden mates, and dark romance will have you at the edge of your seat and staying up way too late
Well done!

Master Campania (Masters of the Consulate Book 7) by Sylvia Black – Review by Bobbi Wagner

Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 7)Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a series that I have enjoyed reading from the first book. I highly suggest reading the previous books in this series to help your enhancement of this series and this author. One of the things I enjoy most about this author is her ability to pull me into her story with ease and keep my attention throughout the story. This book is no different. This is the seventh book in the series which just keeps getting better and better with each book. A story where mafia, vampires and romance are mixed together in a hard to put down book. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into the story from the start. They are steamy, strong characters that make the story easy and entertaining to read. A story that has great chemistry, attraction and growth throughout. This is a fast paced, hard to put down story and one you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend this book and this series.

I’ve loved every single one of these books so far. The search for the defectors continues with book seven, Master Campania. You must read the books in order to get the full picture of this on-going war, but they each have their own love story mixed in with all the action. Campania and Willow seem to be fated mates, but with he being a vampire lord and she being a witch it is forbidden. Or is it? Campania has been a bachelor for too long and Willow has been told never to trust a vampire. Will they learn to trust in one another and their feelings while trying to find those that oppose the vamps? I can’t wait for book 8!
