My first read by this author and I was drawn in by the cover.
This was actually a good story, short but lots of info at the same time. Being short It was more of an ” instant-connection/lust” type of thing but it didnt bother me too much at all.
Cant wait to jump into part 2 after the ending.

The Eclipse Dancer by Laura Koerber – Review by Erica Shoebridge

The Eclipse DancerThe Eclipse Dancer by Laura Koerber
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Beautiful and lyrical, The Eclipse Dancer is a pleasure to read. It is the story of Andy’s life, her family, her magic, and herself. Her memories come to life in vivid detail, lush and filled with the emotions, loves, regrets, and yearnings. Her rememberings weave together into the tapestry of her life in a heartwarming way. The writing is intimate and charged with emotion; I could feel the cool night air on her skin, and the sway of her hips as she danced. This is a lovely story, I would recommend you sink into a comfy chair and let it whisk you away.

This was not like the books I would normally read and I found it to be quite enjoyable. While nursing her sick mother, she ponders on reflections of her own life. As I get older, my mother ages, and my kids are grown, I do a lot of the same. We are all different in our own ways, but this book reminded me that we are also all the same. Very well written and am glad I picked this up!

Secure Decision (Chase Security Series Book 5)Secure Decision by R.L. Dunn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Secure Decision is the fifth book in the Chase Security series. I highly recommend reading the first four as they are all entertaining. This author is one of few authors I will grab knowing that there will be a great story. Her writing style is so masterful it takes me for a ride-along with the characters in the story. Speaking of characters, they are fully developed and complex. They bring the story to life. I feel like I am friends with the characters and I can influence them through the story. There is a bit of a roller coaster ride for Elenor and Wes, the main characters. In this story, Wes and Elenor have some big decisions to make. I highly recommend this story to see how Elenor and Wes work through their thoughts and decisions. A little warning, you may want to start reading this when you have enough time to finish the entire story in one sitting.

This book, was not for me. I am not a reader who enjoys too many timelines, as I sometimes struggle to maintain focus on them all, so I really struggled to stay intrigued throughout the whole book. I did enjoy the writing style, but I’m not sure this book and the characters were my “cup of tea”. Not to discredit the talent of the author! The writing style was great, the depth, creativity and research that went into building this story was greatly evident- it is just not personally my type of book. This author is still 100% talented and for people who love multitudes of timelines, history and drama with a magical twist, I am sure they would absolutely love this book.

I LOVE historical romance so when I read the synopsis for this book, I couldn’t wait to start it and it was just such a brilliant read. I loved every single page, word, second of it. I was transported to this wonderful time period which the author had written about in such beautiful detail, it was really great to read. I loved the characters and I really felt for Emily, wagered by her stepbrother in a game. I really enjoyed reading about her relationship with the Earl of Lenbridge – there were so many things going on in their lives I wondered whether they could actually make their marriage work.
This was my first book by this author and I will definitely be looking forward to reading more. Historical romance fans will absolutely love this book – I know I did!

I have no idea what to say about this book apart from it was amazing!!! I loved the first one in the series, the taster book for what was about to happen but I was not prepared for how awesome this book was going to be! I was hooked from the very beginning and I am left wanting so much more! This writing duo are so suited to each other, their talent blends into one and you literally have no idea that it’s written by two authors. Dane was just – I’m not sure I even know how to describe him – should I love him or shouldn’t I? I have no idea which It should be but I know that I most definitely do love him! The pull between him and Mila was magnetic. I loved every second of this book and I cannot wait for more!!

I really enjoyed part one in this series so I was really looking forward to reading this book and I wasn’t disappointed at all. Lillie was still a great female lead, I liked finding out more about her in this story too. I really enjoyed getting lost in this book, the author did a great job with worldbuilding and character development. I think Lillie especially grew and developed so much in this second book; she is certainly one who can hold her own!!
I really enjoyed this story duet and I would definitely like to read more from this author again in the future.

This is the second book in this series and is set 50 years after the first book, I will totally be going back to read the first book. Vampires are running the world and it is absolute chaos they are fighting to be the most powerful. Kaysee is a strong female lead who is portrayed amazingly and Dom is hot and and does not mess around when he knows what he wants. There is so much adventure and humor in this book it was great, but could of done with some more erotic scenes. Cannot wait to read the next book.

The Cross of Ciaran by Andrea Matthews is a well written and interesting story. Combining the past and the present in an intriguing manner this book certainly caught my attention right off the mark and didn’t let go. I found this book to be so full of detail that I could easily imagine everything the author was describing. At times it felt like I was right there with the characters, experiencing the same things as them.
I liked the mix of characters in the book too. I thought they all played a part and the different dynamics all added to the story. I haven’t read much by this author but everything I have read has so far been great. I didn’t realise going into it that there would be a follow on book to this one but I am really looking forward to reading it.

This was a refreshing read by a writer I have never read or heard of. It was a wonderful read with some truly amazing characters. I wasn’t a fan of the main character at the beginning however the end I was finally a fan. Once I picked this book up it was hard for me to stop reading it because I was so intrigued. Then again, I am quite a history buff that is interested in archaeology and was able to enjoy and respect that part of the story. I was so glad to finally read a book containing history for a change. It was a nice change of pace. I can tell that there will be a follow-up book from the ending, and I can’t wait to read that as well.

Dirty Tactics (Special Weapons & Tactics Book 1) AUDIO BOOK by Peyton Banks – Review by Sophie Rae

Dirty Tactics (Special Weapons & Tactics, #1)Dirty Tactics by Peyton Banks
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I listened to this on audible – I enjoyed it, but the romance wasn’t giving enough for me. The action was a lot more prominent than the romance! The writing style was intriguing enough to where I’m looking forward to further installations. The line between love and lust I feel was crossed a couple times – but it was well written. The SWAT Officer Mac – incredibly hot (in my head) and written to be the strong hero. And as a beautifully portrayed innocent Serena as a counter part. Watching Mac protect her, and try to figure out if the Demon Lords were actually after Serena or if they were looking for Macs soft spot. Ending up in a scary and intense situation (which I don’t want to spoil for you) Either way, Mac lived up his SWAT Hero title. It made it very interesting and I NEEDED to know what was going to happen. The suspenseful ending was phenomenal.

Dirty Tactics (Special Weapons & Tactics Book 1) AUDIO BOOK – Review by Heidi Schoolman

This is the first book in the Special Weapons & Tactics series.  This is a Military Romance audio novel and is just over 4 hours.  This story follows Marcas, a SWAT Sergeant, and Sarena, an ER nurse.  Sarena just moved in next to door to Marcas and he cannot help but notice her.  But his life has no room for relationships.  Sarena has a thing for men in uniform and Marcas fits that bill to a T.  Marcas cannot follow his own rules and ends up going over to her house with plans for her.  The chemistry between these two is on fire.  Unfortunately, there are some people that would like to exact revenge on the Sergeant and what better way to do that than to go after Sarena.

Chased (A Cambridge Men of Honour Novel Book One): A Dark Mafia Bad Boy Romance (Cambridge Men of Honour—Dark Mafia Romances 1) by Felicity Brandon – Review by Amanda Lundin

ChasedChased by Felicity Brandon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Oh boy! This book is not for the faint of heart! It is definitely for those interested in submission, kink, and the darker side of life

Felicity’s characters were well developed and by no means flat. It was interesting to be put in the mindset of someone coming to terms with a certain type of psychological warfare in their own head about what they know is right and how they feel.

The content and situations can definitely be a trigger for some people with: kidnapping, bondage, forced submission, and human trafficking. However, if there was a way to talk about those things classally, this book did it. I’m personally not very knowledgeable about some of these topics but I feel there is some truth to the way she portrayed things which made the story more believable and better.

There are side characters that I’m very interested in and would love to hear more about their stories. I have not yet looked into the other books that she has written but I feel like they will be well written and keep you engaged, just like this one.

WILD VAMP (JADED VAMP BOOK 2) AUDIO BOOK by L.D. WOSAR – Review by Bobbi Wagner

I enjoyed listening to this paranormal story. The narrator of the story made it fun and entertaining to listen to. They made the story come to life the more I listened. This is a story about Kaysee and the adventure she goes on to get her husband back after he was abducted. This is a story that is full of action which kept me wanting to know more. The characters are connectable and really just made great strong characters. I am happy I picked up this audio and it was a great story to listen to. I highly recommend this book

Five stars isn’t enough!!
From the ultimate enemies to lovers trope, character development & the characters themselves is phenomenal! With the romance between Wolf-Shifter Levi and vampire Tasha, who have forever been immortal enemies. The steaminess factor. There are numerous books written similarly – but none to this degree. The twists & the turns. Coming together for impending damage and danger to all? What more could you ask for. The plot line was continued and the romance, stayed prominent but you also didn’t lose the plot line within. I read this book in less than 24 hours – and I enjoyed every second of this! I cannot wait for the rest of the series. I’m invested

Dirty Kisses and Conflicting Wishes (Kiss Me Series Book 1) by Danielle Jacks – Review by Kimberly Shirah

Dirty Kisses and Conflicting WishesDirty Kisses and Conflicting Wishes by Danielle Jacks
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First off, this book is intended for 18+ so if you have a problem with “mature” scenes this book my may not be for you. This is not Erotica but there are some mature scenes throughout. Second, this book was written in British English, meaning British phrases and spellings was used throughout. Third, this book is the first in Jacks “Kiss Me” series, but it is a stand alone novel.

Dirty Kisses and conflicting wishes by Danielle Jacks was a very entertaining read. The first night I started this book, I planned on reading one chapter before bed. Before I knew it I was five chapters in. If it wasn’t for the need of sleep for work I would have read this book in one sitting it was so good.

Jacks brought Zoe Merrill and Damien Chukes sizzling relationship to life with such force that their chemistry jumps of the page, or screen since I read this one on my kindle. What starts as a fake relationship benefiting them both quickly turns into a sticky, emotionally complicated mess of feelings. I have to say, I enjoyed the character building journey that Jacks took us on in this novel.

ChasedChased by Felicity Brandon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a really good book. The characters are so well written. Especially Chase. With everything he does from his illegal dealings to his rich attitudes that he’s untouchable he is defiantly a character the you love to hate.

Chase has it all. He’s rich, he’s entitled and he thinks he’s better than everyone else. He has a dark side which most people don’t see. His involvement in human trafficking and illegal activities means he’s a dangerous man that no one says no too. That is until he meets Allegra.

Allegra comes from a completely different background. She has worked hard to get where she is and is a very determined young woman. So determined that she will not back down or bow to Chase in any way.

Chase isn’t used to this and it makes his attraction to her even stronger. Will Chase win her over? Will Allegra fall for his charm? Will his dark side scare her away and has Chase finally met his match?

This is a YA dystopian story that reimagines how the world might look like if we gave young people the chance to start over. The plot is creative and the characters are well-developed. I enjoyed the setting in Australia and Scotland, two places I love very much, and the details of the world-building make this book come alive. This was also a really interesting book to read in the middle of a pandemic and it had a lot of interesting commentary on inclusivity, sustainability, and equality. I don’t really read a lot of dystopian fiction but these themes and the focus on character rather than plot made this an enjoyable read for me.

This is a book of many genres; history, archaeology, romance, fantasy, suspense, the list goes on! I’m a sucker for a book with multiple timelines, and this one executed it perfectly. The story of the past brings depth to the current story being told. Andrea Matthews has a beautiful writing style. No detail is overlooked in the world she creates, and all of the characters are fully and genuinely developed. I didn’t know when I began reading that this was just the first book. I was thrilled when I learned that there is more to come. I plan to read the second one as soon as it is out so I can continue the story.

My school life was spent in a girls’ boarding-school specialising in classical ballet and on leaving I danced professionally, touring Europe, for 4 years. After that I ran my own ballet school in Athens, Greece and simultaneously volunteered as a veterinary nurse, as my love of animals is the driving force in my life. I returned to England with my horse and my cat, and now live on a smallholding in Shropshire with various farm animals and a constant stream of pets.

I started writing while in Greece and completed a Creative Writing Course with the Writers’ Bureau. The same year, I won an annual competition in the Writing Magazine for an adult Fairy Story.

On my return to England I wrote two children’s books, but my new life, caring for Highland Cattle, sheep, hens and pets, coupled with extensive global travel, meant that writing for publication took a back seat. I continued my love of writing with a daily journal and amusing travel blogs of each trip.

I am now writing full time and TALLY AND THE ANGEL is the first of a planned series. Their next adventure takes place in Canada, in North Yukon and the third in Japan. I intend them to have adventures in Greece, Egypt, Peru, Africa – anywhere I have been, really.

My first published novel, THE GRACEFUL GHOST, draws on my own experiences in ballet-boarding-school and my early teenage life and is a story that has lived with me for many years. It was shortlisted for the UK Selfies Award 2021.

The Eclipse Dancer by Laura Koerber – Review by Lianne Probert

The Eclipse DancerThe Eclipse Dancer by Laura Koerber
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Eclipse Dancer by Laura Koerber is a story based on the gritty and harsh reality of Andy’s story so far, brought to life with elements of fantasy and fairytales.

Andy’s real-life story is full of grittiness and a heavy dose of reality. It’s a sharp contrast to the fantasy element, and for me personally, it took a lot of getting used to. I became accustomed to the fantasy style of writing, but I didn’t always find it particularly enjoyable. I did enjoy the descriptive elements, of which there are many, particularly throughout the fantasy style of writing.
If you are looking for something a bit different to read, The Eclipse Dancer is a book I would recommend, its style might not be suited to all but it was refreshing to read a story that was different and challenged my usual reading style.

Chased (A Cambridge Men of Honour Novel Book One): A Dark Mafia Bad Boy Romance (Cambridge Men of Honour—Dark Mafia Romances 1) by Felicity Brandon – Review by Elizabeth Sanchez

ChasedChased by Felicity Brandon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Chased is the first book in the Cambridge Men of Honor series by Felicity Brandon. It is the first book I have read by this author, and it was very well written. The imagery used lets us envision the characters, and the scenes play out. At first it had a bit of a 50 Shades feel to it- rich powerful male, who likes to be in control; Young innocent female college student. But then it evolved, and we caught a glimpse of the mafia side of Chase. Allegra did not end up being what we expected, but I feel there is more to her story to come. The book has some strong themes, that I believe should have a reader warning. They were a little much for me. Without giving things away, sexual exploitation, rape, bondage, and kidnapping. Reader discretion is advised. The book was well written, and the author told a good, intense story.
