Breaking Down (Rocking Racers #4) by Megan Lowe – Review by Jenni Bishop

Breaking Down (Rocking Racers #4)Breaking Down by Megan Lowe
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Breaking Down is the fourth book in the Rocking Racers Megan Lowe and the best of them all. Don’t get me wrong I love them all but this book about Jax is the icing on the cake. Meagan has written four amazing books in this series about the Ryan family who are gorgeous strong men, beautiful and independent women. A family that has seen a lot of tragedy and have healed by the love of good women in their lives. A family who have been racing bikes in some kind of sport all their lives. It’s in their blood and the love they have for family just makes your heart melt. Sometimes though family love is tough love and it can break your heart.

This book had me in fits of laughter with Jax’s antics and feeling emotional at others. Jax is the baby the family and has confidence galore. He is charming and witty and generally loved by all.Now if he could just convince the beauty he has just fallen in love, at first sight, that she is is forever!!

This is a fun and enchanting story that you need to read.

Breaking Away (Rocking Racers, #3) by Megan Lowe – Review by Jenni Bishop

Breaking Away (Rocking Racers, #3)Breaking Away by Megan Lowe
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Breaking Away is the third book in the Rocking Racers series by Megan Lowe and it is every bit as good as the first two, if not better. You could read this book as a standalone but I recommend reading the previous books so you get the back stories of these characters. I love this series and the world of the gorgeous Ryan’s that Megan has created. Megan manages to captivate you from the beginning and holds you ensured as you go along for the ride with these hot and steamy rocking racers!

Mav Ryan feels like he is missing something in his life, despite being successful and on top of his game on the FMX circuits. He has followed in the footsteps of his family for so long he needs to do something for him but how does he tell his family without disappointing them? Will they understand his need for something more or will they turn their backs on him? Will he find the one thing he is looking for?

Aubrey James has been burned in the past and has decided not to let anyone close but when her brothers new best friend shows up, she starts to find it difficult to stay away. But will her brothers mistakes cause problems with the one thing she can no longer live without?

Megan’s characters are full of life and love, personality and fire, friends and family, fun and laughter. You will fall in love with these characters and the twists and turns she has delivered in the book will leave you wanting more. Megan has written a uniquely beautiful romance story that is a must read. I can not wait for the next installment of the Ryan clan.

Breaking Away (Rocking Racers, #3) by Megan Lowe – Review by Heather Bass

Breaking Away (Rocking Racers, #3)Breaking Away by Megan Lowe
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the third book to the Rocking Racers series. This is my new favorite genre sport romance. This could be read as a stand alone but to get a better understanding of the characters you should read the first two. You will love them just as much as this book. This book has it all romance, deception, danger, and love. I could not put this book down. I devoured this amazing story in only a few hours.

Maverick Ryan has the dream life with his family and friends. He is a very famous freestyle biker on the outside but on the inside he wants more. Mav has a different dream than his brother’s. He ends up breaking away from the race scene and tries to follow his dream. His first day he runs into a guy that he instantly clicks with. They become friends right away. Mav thinks he has his new life figured out until he sees his friend’s sister. He is instantly drawn to her and his new goal is to make her his. The problem is their pasts get in the way. Will Mav follow his dreams or will it be too much? Will he get his girl or will she run for the hills?

Aubrey James knows a bad boy when she sees one. She has already had her fill with bad boys. She is not going to make that mistake again. When her brother brings a guy with tattoos covering his hot body she refuses to go near him. When Aubrey’s past comes knocking on the door Mav steps up and protects them. She may have misjudged him. Will Aubrey give Mav a chance into her heart or will she leave him high and dry?

This has been my favorite book so far in this amazing series. I love all of the characters. Mav is so strong in following his dreams. He is a true gentleman under all of the ink. He is a man that has a heart of gold and would do anything to see Aubrey smile. Aubrey is a real sweetheart once you get to know why she is the way she is. She had a hard past but it made her stronger and more independent. There is some intense scenes that will break your heart. This story deals with an addiction you don’t hear much about but the author does an amazing job on this toughsubject. The best part of this book is that it is in multiple points of views. I love it when you read what a character is feeling. It makes you more connected to the characters and it brings them to life. This is another masterpiece by this author and I can not wait and see who’s story is next.

Breaking Away (Rocking Racers, #3) by Megan Lowe – Review by Angela Shirley

Breaking Away (Rocking Racers, #3)Breaking Away by Megan Lowe
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Breaking away is the third book in the Rocking Racers series as follows the relationship of Maverick “Mav” Ryan and Aubrey James.

Mav is the extreme bike gold medal winner but his heart just is not in it and has not been in it for a longtime. He has only really told Knley about his real passion so one night after the Rocking Races Gala dinner he decides to leave the family business behind and go out on his own.

While finding himself he meets Josh who is on his computer program lecture and they become best buddies, while completing a project Mav goes around to Josh’s house where he meets her, Aubrey James, Josh’s twin sister.

I love the way Megan Lowe has created this world of alpha males but where the core of the story is family and loyalty. I love that Mav is frustrated within the family structure and he makes the tough decision to leave the comfort of the family business and go on his own. I feel he has always been a sensitive character in the other novels and glad you get to see his story.

The story is fast paced and the relationship between Mav and Aubrey is a great love story, especially as Aubrey is dead against letting the hunky Mav in at the beginning but slowly her walls come down and she begins to trust him to treat her right.

I cannot wait for the next instalment in this great series and although this book can be read as a standalone, I bet you will be reading the other books shortly after.

No Place to Hide (Rocking Racers, #2) by Megan Lowe – Review by Angela Shirley

No Place to Hide (Rocking Racers, #2)No Place to Hide by Megan Lowe
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

No Place to Hide is the second book in the Rocking Racers series and entwines the lives of Cole and McKinley as kids they were best friends until something happened and overnight they both lost each other at the age of five. Will a chance meeting again have the sparks flying again.

Cole and McKinley have known each other since they were five years old living across the road from each other. They went everywhere together and was the best of friends, he was her escape when her parents were arguing until one day he vanishes and she feels abandoned.

Kinley lost her best friend overnight and her mother has always blames Cole and his father for the break of her family. Although at such a young age she has believed the bitterness which her mother has forced upon her so when a chance meeting at a gala, can Mcknley missing the I forgive him enough to get to know the man he is now.

Cole is now a riding sensation, he is the champion at SuperMoto and is now signed with Ryan Racing. He is at the gala for Ryan racing sponsors and his eyes are instantly drawn to her, the girl he has not seen in years but still has feelings for. But will they be able to be more than friends, him the hot racer and her the rock star.

The story continues with how the two of them resolve the past history and become an item, although they have elements against them with a mother/manager who is determined to break them up but once Cole takes her to Booker to meet his adoptive family they become stronger within the relationship. I loved the characters within this book, you are willing these two characters to love each other and I was screaming at the ereader with some of the schemes they have to fight against. This is the second book I have read by this author and enjoy the style of writing, you feel like these characters become your friends and can’t wait for the next book in this series.

No Place to Hide (Rocking Racers, #2) by Megan Lowe – Review by Jenni Bishop

No Place to Hide (Rocking Racers, #2)No Place to Hide by Megan Lowe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

No Place to hide is the second book in the Rocking Racers series by Megan Lowe. It can read as a standalone but I would read them in the order they are written so you don’t miss out on the background of the other characters. You will fall in love with each one of the characters from both stories as they are well developed and they have a background you can relate to. This story is more than romance, it is about two people trying to find themselves and finding that connection that makes them feel whole but can that happen when you are continually pulled in different directions.   The events that went on with the separation between her parents, have left McKnley hardened and hateful. Over twenty years have passed since the one person, your best friend was whisked away without a word, now he stands before you unexpectedly. They never got to say goodbye, but what is there to say? He ruined her life? Being in the limelight isn’t easy when you are the bad girl of a famous rock n roll band, McKnley has everything she wants but at the same time she is empty, she wants more. All she wants is to be true to herself.

Cole has finally signed on by Ryan Racing as a professional bike rider. Riding his bike and having the Ryans as his family and believing in him and having his back, just goes to prove dreams can come true. Coming face to face again with the girl from his past, McKnley Rhoades is even better. Can Cole convince McKnley that he is not responsible for ruining her family? Can he convince her he is a good guy and worthy of her friendship and possibly more?

This book is about complicated relationships with family. It shows you that love is worth the fight if only you can let go of and break free of the past. It shows you that family does not always have to be blood but that it can be who you chose. I have fallen in love with the characters in this series and can not wait to see what Megan has in store for them next.

Breaking the Cycle (Rocking Racers, #1) by Megan Lowe – Review by Jenni Bishop

Breaking the Cycle (Rocking Racers, #1)Breaking the Cycle by Megan Lowe
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Breaking the Cycle by Megan Lowe is the first book in the Rocking Racers series and it is definitely a five-star read. Our two main characters are Bria Marie Adams and Reed Cooper Ryan meet and sparks explode around them. It is truly love at first sight and soul mates abound. They have a few bumps in the road along the way but nothing they can’t overcome. You will love the characters and the Ryan men are are to die for. They are easy going and a very lovable bunch of people but it hasn’t always been easy for them along the way to love. There is a curse hanging over their heads which has caused them to shy away from commitment and love.

Bria heads to the local dinner for something to eat and and her life changes immediately. She is suddenly thrust into the Ryan family and quickly meshes with them all especially the tall hottie Reed.

Reed has this undeniable pull towards the beautiful woman. He doesn’t do relationships but he certainly wants one with her. He wants to make her his but will the curse strike again? Can he chance a relationship with her and have it all fall apart? Would he be able to survive if the curse were to strike Bria? Will the Ryan rival threaten everything?

Megan Lowe has written a story that packs a punch and it is definitely addictive. The bond that the Ryan family and those they consider family is heartwarming and I often found myself laughing out loud to their antics. There is some rough rides throughout the book that just makes the story that much better. Once you start you will not want to put it down. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
