Dead Sound (Things Unseen Series Book1) by Anise Eden – Review by Melissa Saxton

Dead Sound (Things Unseen, #1)Dead Sound by Anise Eden
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

this is an extremely well written slow burn romance plus action packed Thriller.

you will be hooked from the first chapter as you get to know these characters and when a very odd presentation of seemingly unconnected people show up in the psych ward you can’t put it down as you have to know.

sink into the possibility of divine intervention, how everyone can be manipulated in one way or another.

this book opens the possibilities in your brain of things that seem Paranormal but are presented in such a way that makes you stop and think about what is going on around you in the real world.

fantastically done can’t wait to read another by this author.

Fate, Frankincense & Funerals by Naomi Valkyrie – Review by Melissa Saxton

Fate, Frankincense & FuneralsFate, Frankincense & Funerals by Naomi Valkyrie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

this is a great MM Romance story and it takes you on a quick and fast ride through denying true love and honoring someone’s death.

the story I feel lacked some “meat and bones” as it was so fast I was left wondering why this character was so intent about refusing his natural mate and what in his life and community and society had shaped him in such a way. the book touches on it but not enough.

however their natural connection finally is explored in the end and though it was quick I fell in love with the characters quickly and was intrigued with the death rituals of this society.

Five Stars!!!

Nite Fire: Smoke & Mirrors is the third book in the Nite Fire Series by C.L. Schneider (Audio Book) This book can be read as a standalone as I had not read the others and had no difficulty keeping up.

Dhalia Is a half dragon shifter who has set up shop in the human world hiding from her past and its secrets. she works with local Police as a special assigned agent helping with unexplained crimes. No one knows who she is or what she is. Her secrets won’t last long when body parts pile up at the river exposing a dark underground world and it’s secrets that will bring Dhalia all the way back to her past and having to face ghosts she didn’t want to face.

this book is fantastic, detailed, well written characters are addictive and I really enjoyed this narrator as well who was definitely animated and enjoyable.

Ready to fall in love with a character? Rowan is a feisty, witty, no nonsense princess who cannot stay out of trouble and feels rules are made to be broken, but one reckless adventure leads her and her cousin in enemy territory.

Journeys Through SpaceTime (Journey’s Through Book 1) by James Talisman Review by Melissa Saxton.

An amazing Sci-Fi and Fantasy Journey awaits as you transverse the Multiverse theory. A strange and mysterious voice visits multiple individuals from multiple universes with the same mysterious message. The message is cryptic, but they all have to find out what it means for them and how they are all connected to combat a evil force.

This book is an art form in how the characters are developed, giving you all the details necessary to both fall in love with characters, or have strong feelings of dislike in only short passages as you learn every characters backstory and how they tie into this journey.

Tying together all of these individuals stories is masterful, and kept me hooked and wanting to learn more. The book is definitely complex, and you will find yourself deep into the story with time passing quickly as you devour this story. Fans of science fiction, fantasy, dystopian societies, will all enjoy this story as it completely bends your basic understanding of the universe.

I was immediately looking for book 2 as soon as I finished the last page!

Journeys Through TimeSpace (Journeys Through Book 2) by James Talisman – Review by Melissa Saxton

Breathless and thrilling are the best terms to use to describe this 2nd installment to the Journeys series. This could be read alone but reading book one helped me better understand the characters.

Book two brings you through past present and future on a wild ride of surprises I found myself muttering “omg” out loud while reading. You will explore the multiverse theory in more depth and detail. You spend time getting to know the trio of college students from the first book and you will really love the tie into Atlantis! You will follow them learning time travel and journey to find ancient treasures. meanwhile a reptilian commander has his own plans and needs he will ruthlessly work to obtain.
Mr Talisman brilliantly ties together each universe frequently flipping between characters as you read yet you never feel lost, or confused about what part of the story you are in or where you are reading about. you are fully engaged flipping pages to see what happens next!

This series truly has made me look at the world around me and its connections in a different way. I absolutely cannot wait for the 3rd installment and this is a MUST READ for any Sci fi lover out there! fair warning you will get lost in this series and lose track of time because you will not want to put it down!
