Many lessons to be learned in this book about telling the truth and the consequences of lying and the concept of guilt.
Illustrations are engaging and the book rhymes beautifully all the way through making it fun for the early reader in your life
Shifter Shorts by T.K. Lawyer

What an interesting book.
This is completely different Book all about shifter romance except each its a compilation of short stories inside this book. There is every kind of shifter you can dream up and my favorite was the gargoyle story as I hadn’t ever read a shifter story about a gargoyle.
That being said this book has a lot.of dark content and the books are mostly insta love/lust and they are definitely spicy sometimes to the point id say they are short Erotica stories with a shifter focus. The trigger warnings is pretty vague but it means business with some pretty dark themes so just be careful if that kind of content isn’t your thing.
Overall this was something completely different and enjoyable.
Betrayal of the Gods by Martin Ferguson

This is book 5 in a series, and I admittedly started with this book and wasn’t confused totally can be done as a standalone.
Join Matt and Adam in adventures across timelines and povs there is historical fiction and fantasy while exploring Greek heros, several famous lost cities and battles alike! This author expertly weaves his tale with great attention to detail and characters making you instantly invested. The timelines and pov changes frequently but the start of each chapter is labeled with a character and the “when” of what’s happening. The chapters are also mercifully shorter allowing you to capture things in small snippets but getting great detail and world building so both YA readers and Adults can BOTH enjoy this series. Very well done and now I need to go back and learn more!
The Round Box by Lois Wickstrom

Poor Carrie is bored and she is very sad as her grandma moved out of her house and she misses her dearly.
Going through closets she finds a round box and inside a very special gift she finds happy feelings and lots of fun using her imagination.
Another great story by this author for children with fun illustrations and even some font that was different making words pop off the page which my 5 year old immediately noticed. Great fun for kids ages 3 to 7.

Kingdom of 7 Sovereigns: Wolf by R.C. Reigh

What a book!
This book takes you on a YA fantasy ride in an Allegiance Academy aka The Bastian where the best of the best children go to learn to get along with other creatures of all 7 kingdoms that united after war kept them all apart for many years.
This story centers around Dain and Amelia who have an arranged marriage upcoming as was the agreement to help with peace, however Amelia wants out of this rocky enemies courtship and is determined. Amelia is a princess and is used to getting what she wants until she goes to school.
These two have palpable chemistry in their courtship gone wrong as well as a lot of tension.
Will they find what they need in one another or will Amelia get her wish and get out of her forced courtship.
There is so much mystery and drama and danger and this being told in multiple pov made it come alive and I kept turning the pages. Cant wait to gobble up the next story in the 7 sovereigns series!
The Marcy Series Box Set: Books 1-3 by Linda Burson

Marcy was becoming successful, opening her own bakery. Finding the perfect employees and of course finding Brad. Finding her best friend Jill, life seems to be falling into place perfectly. However two years into her relationship eith Brad, Marcy starts to change and becomes angry first its small things but she starts to explode on her employees, her customers and Brad. Shes also having severe nightmares and doesnt know why.
Brad becomes legitimately concerned and they have a blow out fight where Marcy pushes Brad and he finally walks away ending their relationship. She goes to see Brad the next day and sees him with his secretary with her hands on his arm and she’s furious, so she heads home but needs gas on the way. Her heightened anger comes in handy when she finds herself held at gunpoint at a gas station. She manages to disarm the robber easily with her martial arts training, and she moves onto the next gas station to finally get what she needs. While there Tall dark and broody Liam approaches her for help and tells her a heartbreaking story of how his family was murdered and he’s seeking revenge. He wants her to help him on his mission to seek revenge for his family.
Once Marcy gets home from all the excitement from the gas station Brad apologizes and proposes to her! She accepts. Brad then has to go out of town and Liam reaches out to Marcy to help him with several groups of thugs and criminals thought to be connected to his families death and she readily agrees. Liam gives her a burner phone and she forgets her regular phone for several days. When she finally checks it finding Brad leaving more and more angry voice-mail because she isn’t answering, which ends in Marcy having a mental breakdown. Brad immediately ends their engagement.
Wanting to get away Marcy remembers Liam talking about a little cabin she might be able to decompress in so she calls Liam, they spend two weeks together where Marcy falls in love with Liam but she can’t deny she’s still in love with Brad.
Upon her return home she finds Brad has called everywhere and shown up all over desperate to find her. Marcy tells Brad about Liam and he asks her never to see Liam again if she wants to stay with Brad.
The suspense continues to intensify throughout this book, and what are these nightmares she’s having ? Do they mean something? Can her and her therapist break through? Which man will she ultimately choose?
Great suspense and Romance in one 3 book set!
Detective Dylan and the Case of the Missing Mail: A Youth Sleuths Chapter Book Series by MJ Murray
I read this one to my kids they enjoyed it a lot. Short chapters about Dylan and his sister trying to solve the case of missing mail. My kids had all sorts of fun theories as we went through involving their imagination as the story went on and the case of the missing mail was solved.
Super cute to read to younger kids and ask questions or for older kids to read alone.
Alien Redemption by Gloria Oliver

Claudia is in a bad spot. Her employers set her up for a fall and she’s been disgraced from the medical community. She obtains a fake identity and tries to take a medical officer spot on a ship but the captain knows exactly who she is and bullies her onto his ship or he will expose who she really is. When the captain asks her to go down to the surface on a unknown planet and what she finds takes her breath away, intelligent life!
The captain makes a trade for several of the avian species to come back to earth but quickly Claudia finds out the captains sinister intentions with this brand new species and though it is horrifying what they have planned for this new species Claudia has no choice but to listen to her captain so she finds herself protecting the species as best she can.
Once they get back to earth things amplify and Claudia finds herself traded to the admiral to stay with the birds to be sure they complete their “duties”.
Claudia learns much about the species and continues to be shocked by them the more she learns, but the disturbing truth within the admirals plan leaves Claudia scrambling to find a way to help her Avian friends. Can she save her charges in time? A MUST READ!!!
Raining Fish and Frogs by Lois Wickstrom

Another cute title by this author which starts with a man who wants trout for breakfast so he heads off to the lake but nothing is biting!
Then the wind picks up and a waterspout forms and picks up all the water and fish and frogs and heads for town.
While in town it starts dropping the fish and frogs and water…including a fish right on the doorstep of the fisherman.
Cute story telling what happens with a waterspout in language a kid can understand and very cute illustrations. My kid was 5 I read it to.
Wicked Ends by Isla Vaughn

This author took us on one heck of a journey ending with Shane and Winters story who never disappointed. This is not a stand alone book you must have the entire series.
Winter and Shane hook up at the end of the last book and this one starts with Winter drugged and back at the lake where her sister drowned. Shane was set up for the kidnapping and is questioned but ultimately cleared. Winter is left shaken and scared and asks Shane to protect her and be with her until they can get to the bottom of who is harassing her, leaving her notes, and now kidnapped her. Why are they doing this, how are they connected and what happened the day Summer died?
Such a great ending to a series I’m so sorry to see go!
Rise of the Y by Angela D. Shelton

Lexi has a decent middle upper class life with her father in administration. Imperium runs the world after the collapse and everything comes down to an exam you take on hour 17th birthday. Lexi has been groomed for engineering/administration, but ever since a field trip when she was 5 she’s longed to break the cycle and go work in the greenhouse. Thats not how life works now, a test decides her job and a genetic matching algorithm decides her mate her children. Lexi was not built to conform.
So she decides to throw her test on purpose but ends up in reclamation, then her grandparents are told they are leaving for “solitude”, people don’t return from solitude. She accompanies them along with her mother to say goodbye. As she’s boarding her train to work after saying goodbye her entire world explodes.
What will become of Lexi, who is the Y? Are her grandparents and mother alive? This was a great read very action heavy!

Sea of Demons: A Dark Enemies to Lovers Mafia Romance by Heidi Stark

Man this author can write one heck of a reverse harem that has you on the edge of your seat and not just because of the steam!
So many reverse harems lose their characters and the plot too busy with sexy time but she balances this so well and it’s so engaging.
Two reverse harem relationships go from enemies to Allies while taking out an extremely dark mutual enemy related to Devon.
I don’t want to spoil what happens for you but this book will have your heart pounding (for multiple reasons ;)) and you laughing at witty banter and marveling at the way human nature can be shaped and changed so quickly.
Absolute 5 stars and a can’t miss! I do reccomend the other books first and PLEASE read the trigger warnings if there are topics you are sensitive about she is quite open about the topics in the book.
Wicked Games by Isla Vaughn

Though this can stand alone you don’t want to miss the prior books in this series to understand who Shane is before this book starts.
Shane starts the series where we left off facing manslaughter charges for punching a guy for Erica the girl he was providing body guard services for. Thankfully video evidence clears his name but not everyone is happy about that outcome.
Enter Winter, a girl from Shane’s past, a girl that absolutely tormented him when they were kids and Shane has a plan for payback. What he doesn’t anticipate is the explosive chemistry and he’s caught between wanting revenge and wanting Winter.
She doesn’t remember Shane but he will make sure she does.
As always at the cliffhanger I literally say outloud to the author bro why you gotta play me like that???
But I’d read everyone of them over again and again full well knowing I’ll be desperate to read the next story because these characters are finally coming full circle and I’m going to be devastated when the series is over.
Lost and Found: A Logan McKenna Mystery Book 9 by Valerie Davisson

In a town close to where Logan lives a murder rocks a small coastal town on a crabbing boat . Logans friend Sam begs her to help him clear his friends name and insists his friend is innocent. Logan, however isn’t so sure that’s the case as there is a lot of incriminating evidence.
While she’s trying to solve this murder one of her students is kidnapped. While trying to help the parents she finds they are undocumented citizens and they don’t want to go to the police for fear of deportation
The tangled web of two different Mysteries and Logan being caught up in a web of lies deceit and betrayal makes this book intense but absolutely worth the read.
How much more death can Logan face, she’s strong and won’t stop for anything or anyone until the answers are unveiled
In Plain Sight: A Logan McKenna Mystery Book 8 by Valerie Davisson

Logan just cant stay out of drama. In the beautiful pacific North West Logan decides to volunteer for the Raptor Sanctuary, but she gets way more than she bargained for when the vet ends up dead, their office absolutely ransacked and a raptor the vet was specially caring for is also dead. Logan jumps in to figure our what happened and this drags her into the center of trouble while the killer desperately tries to close any ties to them before they get caught. Logan and her friends find themselves in danger. I enjoyed that I didnt immediately have a suspect and had to follow the story with Logan to figure it out.
This book can be read as a stand alone but you will Understand Logan better if you read the previous stories first!
Whisper Creek by Valerie Davisson

Logan just can’t stay out of trouble
We start book 7 with Logan going viral with several of her compositions on her violin being put together online on a video and it goes absolutely viral. She’s shocked and it rocks her confidence in her decision to marry Ben who finally proposed, how will money effect their relationship?
Logan goes out of town to Whisper Creek for a consulting gig to help at New school who she’s always refused to sign on full time for. She meets up with a few friends and comes across Monica, a woman no one likes and she’s played her husband and step son really dirty, but when Logan finds her dead and the questions start it doesn’t matter who Monica was but who killed her. The police think they know and Logan knows they are wrong and has to figure it out before a friend ends up charged with a murder she’s sure they didn’t have any part of.
Well done suspense again! Poor Logan needs a vacation from all this drama!

omg this story has left me continuously thinking about it since I finished it!

in a word… everything.
this book was absolutely intense and the tears came at the end of this book, my heart literally broke in this book and I highly highly reccomend it
Lies That Bind by Valerie Davisson

Another story with Logan finding herself in the middle of an investigation.
Her guy (Ben) bought a vacation home in Oregon and they stumble across details of the murder of charolette collins. This murder has several hidden details they find when starting to renovate and of course Logan has to get to the bottom of what happened.
I really enjoy Logans strong personality she is a fierce woman and no one gets in her way. This story also took on more dimension than usual with the addition of her half sister to the usual cast in her life. Multi generation family drama and secrets are found and the author Brilliantly shows how trauma can transcend generations and effect people for years to come.
You dont need the other books to understand the plot in this one but I do feel like I understand Logan better with the other books prior.
Porter and Midge: Paws for Safety: A Kid’s Guide to Safe Dog Interactions by Giselle Nevada

What a great book for dog lovers and for kids afraid of dogs. Kids don’t always know the finer intricacies of dog behavior and this book Brilliantly points out when and how to approach dogs and when to leave them be, and how to be friendly to a dog and have the safest interaction. Great book for kids 4 to 8 and would highly reccomend it as a book In a home thinking about getting a dog! Well done

Follow a little girl who is afraid of the big red monster under her bed and what’s worse no one believes her! Until one day she meets the monster and realizes that the monster isn’t so scary after all! They embark on an adventure together and even deal with a bully!
What a fun story for kids afraid of that monster under their bed!

Logan our beloved main character finds herself in a sleepy peaceful Oregon town on vacation and going to go whalewatching with her boyfriend her son in law her daughter and her grandson.
But alas trouble follows Logan and another mysterious murder pops up in this sleepy little town and Logan finds herself again right in the center of it
Lots of small characters in this 5th book but wow I felt like I was watching a mind movie! All so realistic and incredibly well described
Vanishing Day: A Logan McKenna Mystery/Thriller Logan Book 4 by Valerie Davisson

We continue Logans journey with her boyfriend Ben and her friends in Jasper California. In book 4 we also meet Lori a single mom hiding her 3 year old daughter and herself from a very abusive ex spouse hell bent on getting his daughter and everything he wants back. Logan and Lori become friends but when Lori’s ex crashes into the picture and grabs his daughter things turn ugly and Logan and the local detective Andrew are in a race against time.
Logan embroiled in this drama finds herself a target by Lori’s ex when he realizes Logan may have the information Lori’s been hiding from him.
Another well done story and though I fell in love with Logan books ago this easily could be a stand alone
Devil’s Claw: A Logan McKenna Mystery/Thriller Book 3 by Valerie Davisson

You just can’t resist the otter jokes in this one.
Logan and her ever interesting life finds her a struggling teacher trying to find funding for her music program. One day her daughter Amy who is currently home with Logan and Logan discover a tiny baby otter in need of rescue which Introduces you to an otter rescue and resource center in a sleepy seaside town funded by an elderly local who owns a prime piece of land that several greedy people want when she dies. Of course this will Introduce several new people Into Logans life and she finds herself in the center of another mystery racing to solve it as the perpetrator literally has nothing else to lose.
These stories are great. Logan always finds herself mid drama and this book finds several view points which can be confusing if you aren’t paying attention. I’ve gotten addicted to Logan and can’t wait to see what else happens in her life path!
Forest Park: Logan Book 2 by Valerie Davisson

Logan goes on vacation to Portland and while she’s there a food truck explodes killing several. What Logan finds out quickly is she knows one of the deceased and it emblazoned her to get to the bottom of what’s happened. The police…. well they seem to be seeking all the wrong answers and are taking too long… are more people going to get hurt?
I love this character. She’s real and down to earth and relatable and this book weaves in other topics such as the struggles of immigrants chasing their American dream and all the ways they may be taken advantage of while following that dream. ON to more adventures with Logan in book 3!

Wow! This author doesn’t disappoint. This is book 2 in the series but you don’t need book one to follow along in book 2.
Cade is a plain clothes detective. He has several contacts in the community as police officers tend to do. One night he’s pulled into what can only be described as a underground lab and asked to sign a NDA. It’s then he discovers on the dark web that serial killer are not Lone wolf’s as he previously presumed but rather they disturbingly have a whole community and “market” if you will to hire each other. What’s worse? Cades a target on the list!

I’m a sucker for a fated mates wolf tale but this one put everything on its head!
Jasmine is one of the only teenagers that’s managed to do the unthinkable, save everything including your first kiss until you meet your fated mate after you turn 18. Her best friend Lucy thinks it’s silly and threw all of those beliefs away to be with her boyfriend Luke the upcoming Beta.
Blake, the upcoming Alpha comes home after years in Sibera at Alpha college while he mourned the loss of his fated mate and meets Lucy and finds her charming and a precious gem saving everything for her fated mate. However Blake can’t resist wanting to have a few of her firsts to himself and finds himself falling into feelings he doesn’t understand as his fated mate is gone and he thought he’d never feel anything again.
In walks Luke, home from a mission for the last two years and ecstatic to be by Lucy’s side again only to find himself in the worst love triangle possible right at the breaking of a major war.
What does Jasmine decide, will she wait to meet her fated mate or will she explore her adult urges with Blake. What about Luke, what does he do when he loved Lucy but finds he also loves his goddess chosen mate as well? What is better fated, or chosen? You’d think thr answer would be simple but this author really makes you think about this situation in a way other wolf stories never have. Extremely well done and I can’t wait to read more!

Lindy really needs this job to continue to support her family and they are her number one priority so she signs on as Cades personal assistant doing as he puts it “whatever he requires” but the chemistry is nothing short of electric.
What happens when Lindy and Cade fake a relationship as part of the latest business deal? Is the chemistry brewing between them going to light? Or will their ability to work together and succeed come crashing down. Can these two be honest about what they are feeling or will Lindy jeopardize her entire future in fashion and walk away forever
