Mood Swings and Hockey Flings (Hot Flash Hookups Series) by Sylvie Stewart and Marika Ray – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Mood Swings and Hockey Flings (Hot Flash Hookups #2)Mood Swings and Hockey Flings by Marika Ray
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mood Swings and Hockey Flings was a great read. I loved reading about Ben / Banks and Kaitlyn.
Those two met at an airport
about 10 years ago and had no idea who the other person was. They were both attracted to eachother but Kaitlyn has a one track mind and her job is the most important thing on her life. Meeting a hot guy and learning he’s a hockey player, makes her angry. They did alot of flirting at the airport and on the plane but, Kaitlyn is a different person in
Work mode. Banks and Kaitlyn grow to dislike eachother more then you would think even though they secretly have some hidden feelings.
Now 10 years later, Kaitlyn is asked by Roman to
Be Ben’s agent. Both Ben and Kaitlyn are against it
But, Ben needs the best of the best and that’s her. But what will happen when they start spending alot of time together? Can Kaitlyn stay strong and deflect the blue eyed, gorgeous guy she has spent 10 years avoiding? Or is it inevitable ? These two are both such strong characters but, Ben is willing to put everything aside for a chance with Kaitlyn to see what happens. Kaitlyn knows it will
Be career suicide being she’s a hockey agent, he’s a hockey player and the cherry on top is…..he’s her client !

4 R’s: Roped, Risked, Rescued, Romanced (4 R’s Series) by Julie Castle – Review by Michelle Mulvey

4 R's: Roped, Rescued, Risked, Romanced4 R’s: Roped, Rescued, Risked, Romanced by Julie Castle
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The 4 R’s Collection was a good read with 4 stories.
They were all good but, of course everyone has their favorites.

Fool’s Gold was about a a newlywed couple who never quite made it to their wedding night. Sarah ran out on Rafe when she found something and thought Rafe was only with her for her money. Now she has come home to help out with housekeeping while Rose is away while saving Rafe’s reputation and she can finish what she started before she left.
Someone is out to hurt Rafe and his livelihood but, no one knows who the real culprit is. Sarah will help Rafe figure it out.
Will Rafe and Sarah be able to be a real couple after everything is over ?

Her hearts desire was a good read.
Jake and Samantha know eachother but haven’t seen eachother in a bit. Now She’s a runaway bride with she finds out Grayson was cheating on her.
She wasn’t expecting Jake to be at the old cabin but, she ran right into him when she got there. Can two people extremely attracted to eachother stay in a 1 bedroom cabin and keep their distance?
There was a bit of suspense In this one with a few other characters. Samantha’s brother might be a suspect but he’s just trying to find out who is blackmailing Jennifer.
When Samantha is kidnapped, will they figure out who the culprit is In time to save her?

Serena’s Web was a great read. I loved this one from the very beginning. She was a strong character who didn’t take crap from anyone. Her dad is missing and she will not rest until she finds him and hopes she can find him alive. Some cops are dirty and aren’t there to help her case but, might be there to help the people responsible. When the FBI steps In, they vow to keep her safe. Agent Riley wants more then to keep her safe. She pretty much wants the same thing but can they act on it? They make a pretty good team working together but there are alot of others helping along the way too.

It had to be you was another great read.
This is a second chance romance if I’ve ever seen one before. Candy and Greg knew eachother in high school but were in total different social classes. Here they are at a reunion and she has no idea who he is when he approaches her.
They end up almost hooking up when she realizes who he is. He’s always had feelings for her and now that she is back in town, he’s not letting her go without a fight. These two can be beneficial to eachother if they can make it thru the summer. Will they be able to walk away when they both get what they want or will this end up really falling for eachother. Another book with suspense leaving the reader wondering who is behind everything going wrong. Great collection of books!

Unicorn, Don't Do That!Unicorn, Don’t Do That! by Lois Wickstrom
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Who doesn’t love a book about unicorns? I know the girls are obsessed and loved this adorable book about Stega the unicorn. She was invited to a party. She picked some blueberries to bring as a gift for Benny but ate the whole bowl. She then picked a bowl of walnuts and ate them too. Finally she spotted a beehive and got a bowl of honey but that didn’t make it to Benny’s either. By the time she arrived at Benny’s cave, her belly was rumbling and so she pooped right outside his door. It wasn’t an ordinary poop though….it was Unicorn poop. Loved the colorful pictures and the girls ( ages 2 & 4 ) loved the book

The book is book one of a new series. A few authors are writing together. I honestly saw the author and had to read it not realizing what it was about. I’m not a fan of paranormal books so it took me quite a while to finish. That being said, I thought the book was well written. Callum is a detective on his way to make a huge bust. When someone walks into him. That someone is Aeris. She’s a fairy or a fae which visits earth. Up until now, no one has been able to see her but, Callum can. However, they zinged…He is her Kindred…her mate. Together they encounter all different things. This book has sylph, fae, trolls, rougarou…you name it. Anything magical or mythical with spells.
I thought the book was pretty good.

Before You Say I Do by Marina Hanna – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Before You Say I DoBefore You Say I Do by Marina Hanna
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is about Liam Cross being patient and waiting for Emma Price to agree to go out with him. It’s hard because Emma’s best friend is with Liam’s best friend.
Emma usually only has one night stands. She can’t trust any man after Stuart broke her trust in the worst of ways.
Emma and Liam get along great. Their one night was so explosive that they agreed they can’t just stop at one night. I guess you can say they become friends with benefits. They both enjoy eachothers company and they are totally in sync between the sheets. Emma starts to have real Feelings for Liam and she doesn’t realize it but, he feels the same way. He tries to fight it at every turn. They have an agreement that they will get married, Emma gets paid to stay married to him for 1 year and he gets his trust fund released to him. These two really annoyed me because they are perfect for eachother. Emma knows she will have a broken heart at the end of the year.
Wi these two have a chance at a happy ending ? Will Liam ever tell Emma how he really feels or is this really just a contract that will end in a year and these two go their separate ways ? Definitely a great read but everything this author writes is amazing!

This book is a continuation of Zach and Ashton’s story. It definitely gets better in this book. There’s a lot more going on and the book gets better and better. As they get to know more about eachother, what they have is tested. Will they be able to overcome what Happens next? There’s definitely more spice in this book with relationshipy stuff too. I enjoyed reading more about this couple and seeing how they get passed certain things. I had a real soft spot for Ashton in the first book loved to see her grow.

Make Me Burn (North Fork Series Book 9)Make Me Burn by Alicia Street
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Make me burn is a book about a girl who had crushed big time on her big brothers best friend. Jinx was always in love with Logan who never really had a family of his own. When Logan and Victor met, Victor basically made him a part of his family, coming home on breaks and holidays.
When Logan disappeared abruptly, Jinx was heartbroken. He deleted his email, changed his phone number and she had no way to contact him. All she knew was, Victor now hated his former best friend Logan and the entire family took Victor’s side.
When Jinx and Logan run into eachother many years later sparks fly and it’s like they have been close all along. They agreed to have one night together since both have always wanted that. They had a great night together which made it clear they both still wanted eachother as much if not more then when they were younger.
The only problem now is Logan knows Vic hates him and so does his family. He refuses to come between Jinx and her family.
Will she be able to uncover the truth so these two have a chance for a happy ending after finally being able to get together ? Loved this book from beginning to end. Another great read by this talented author with absolute lovable characters.

Fearless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls, #5)Fearless Love by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fearless Love is book 5 in the series and a great addition. I loved being able to read as everything unfolded with Roy and his health, James losing who he thought he wanted to spend his life with and then meeting and falling for Sara.
Both James and Sara fell for eachother pretty quickly. James was the white knight she didn’t nessessepeirly need but welcomed. Aside from what happened with Noah and the dogs that first day, James always cared for, loved and treated Noah as if he was his own family. Sara has been working as a traveling nurse for quite a few years. Was She was running from something or someone? When she finally explained to James why she chose to be a traveling nurse, he understood and backed her up thru everything going forward. I think, I love James the most out of all the characters in this series. Definitely a great read.

Out of BoundsOut of Bounds by Tam DeRudder Jackson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed reading this book. I was able to finish it rather quickly. I loved everything about Wyatt and Piper. How they met, what they went thru trying to navigate their hookup / friendship / relationship. Piper had recently broken up with her boyfriend who cheated on her. She has no one she can trust aside from a few close friends. Wyatt is nothing but a perfect gentleman who tries to give her space to figure her stuff out but he’s really
Into her. When Piper feels a bit of Deja vu as she walks into a party to see Wyatt and Pippa close to eachother talking, all her insecurities come front and center. Will she give Wyatt a chance to explain or will she walk away from him without looking back ?
Can I just mention….the names of the sisters were really sooo annoying. Who does that?? Who names them Piper and Pippa? Once I got over the annoying name selection, I loved the book. Cannot wait to read more. I love Callahan’s book and loved Bax….cannot wait for Finn’s book this summer!!!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

In this book we meet two characters named Zachary and Ashton. Ashton is actually best friends with Zach’s brother. He’s been there for her thru the last few years and he’s been her rock. How will he feel when his brother sets his sights on Ashton and wants to make her his? Is Ashton strong enough to put up the demands of such a strong Dom such as Zachery? Ashton is such a strong character when in a work setting but outside of that, she is the total opposite. The book took me a few days to get through. It wasn’t one of my favorite reads. It was on ok read for me. Kinda a bit bland. Looking forward to the next book to see if it picks up a bit.

Dirty Heartbreaker: Hamilton Steelhawks Book 3Dirty Heartbreaker: Hamilton Steelhawks Book 3 by A C Sheppard
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is all about Gabby and Colby. Her best friend is dating one of Colby’s closest friends and teammate Max.
Colby and Gabby both annoyed me so much reading about them. They are both adults. Have spent a night or two together and now Gabby tries her hardest to stay away from him. He’s a player and she’s looking for her happily ever after. Especially after what she does thru this whole book to help Addie. The chemistry between Colby and Gabby is ridiculously insane. They cannot be close to eachother without wanting to
Rip eachothers clothes off. As much as Gabby wants him, she fights her feelings pretty good. Colby is very possessive and cannot deal with seeing his friends so close to or touching Gabby. Neither one seems to be able to admit how much they really care for the other. Colby has had his heart ripped out by an ex and he wasn’t looking for anything more then a one and done type of situation but, He can’t seem to get Gabby out of his mind. Will these two finally decide to be honest with themselves and then eachother and take the plunge and be in a real relationship?

This is over 1000 pages…7 books of sweet couples trying to find their way. Some of these characters go many many years before finding the one they are meant to be with. All of these books are great. Of course everyone has their favorites. Personally it was hard to choose a few favorites out of the series. Rainy Day Lovers is by far one of my faves! All of the characters were totally loveable. The Rocklyn’s are just an average amazing family with great family
Values they make the readers root
For them all thru each page.
Rainy…well really what’s there not to love. This girl is an amazing person even at such a young age, she volunteers and helps
People when she can. I was so happy to see her find someone.
Maybe Lovers….Jeff, boy oh boy what in the world did he get himself into being engaged to Peyton. I cannot believe how she got away with everything she did for as long as she did. I loved the bartender Carly. She was another one of my Favorite characters in The collection
The author did amazing with each one of these books.

Harper can’t think of how to keep Gabriel in the dark about her horrible home life so she does what she can only think is best and that’s break up with him. They both go on to live their own lives. Gabriel hating Harper. Harper missing Gabriel but blocking his # and blocking him on social media until 10 years later when she thinks he’s in danger. How will Gabriel feel
About Harper showing up out of the blue spewing all this crazy talk. The chemistry between these two is ridiculously hot. True love never dies…or does it?
When Harper gets back to Chicago and tries to explain to Gabriel what’s going on will he believe her, will she be able to save Gabriel or will it be a wasted trip. What will happen when her deepest, darkest secrets are revealed. This book was seriously so good. Cannot wait to read more by this author.

Resisting Nature (Powder River Pack Series) by Brooke May – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Resisting NatureResisting Nature by Brooke May
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Resisting Nature was a really good read. With that being said I really dislike any books about werewolves. It was a bit much for me to read this but, being a huge fan of the author I pushed through.

Alexa was saying a guy named Grant who turned out to be a horrible person. He hurt her and forced her to give up her virginity. She ended up pregnant but knew she had to get away from him because he was dangerous. She ended up giving her baby up for adoption but kept in close contact with the family who know has her son. Alexa moved far away In Hopes that Grant will never find her.

Years later she’s at a bar with her friend and right away there is something between her and the bouncer at the door. They both are drawn to eachother immediately. What Alexa doesn’t know is Miles is somewhat like Grant only he’s not a monster like he was. Miles is loving, caring and sweet. One morning when she wakes up alongside Miles who happened to shift during the night at some point, she is very afraid and decides she can’t do this again.

After a month or so of not talking or seeing eachother they end up talking and trying to work things out when Grant shows up out of the blue. Somehow he finds Alexa and he won’t stop until he has his little family back. Somehow he knows, he has a son somewhere out there.

Will Miles and his pack be able to save Alexa ? Will they be able to make it to find where Grant is hiding her or will Miles lose his mate when he finally just got her back?

If this was written by any other author aside from one I love reading, I may not have been able to finish the book, but I’m a big fan of her writing so I’m glad I was able to finish the book.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a great addition to a great series. I loved getting to read all about Miller and his crazy self. Miller pretty much does what he wants and doesnt really care about much. When he has to go to court,!he’s sitting in his car when a woman jumps in the passenger seat
Of his car asking him to drive. She isn’t just any woman, she’s a woman in a wedding dress running from her wedding. Miller does as she asks and drives her where she needs to
Go. That definitely is the end of the woman in the wedding dress. Maisy ends up being Millers new obsession which is odd because Miller doesn’t obsess over anyone.
This book had a lot going on. There was Millers best friend seeming to be in trouble, the mess with Driscoll, Maisy stressing over her mom wanting to take Bear away, along with some other stuff. Looking forward to Lynn’s book. That should be amazing once her brothers catch wind of what she’s up to 🙂

Elusive Thank goodness Sheldon was there when Alexis was getting harassed by some crazy man in a coffee shop. Alexis didn’t realize then but, Sheldon was going to be around a lot. Luckily she’s a hair stylist and Sheldon needs one for one of his clients. This book was crazy. I can’t believe the stuff that happened in the book. Sheldon and his team are my hero’s! I need more books by this author soon

Tenacious was just so good. I have read a few books by this author but this has got to be my ultimate favorite. This author knows how to give the readers a perfect balance of heat and mystery. This book can be read as a stand-alone if you wanted to. I would recommend reading all the books in the series as they are all great reads.

This book focuses on Allie who is an ER nurse and is very good at her job. Nick is a bodyguard and Nick has other reasons for wanting to be the one to guard Allie. Nick keeps trying to break down Allie and get to the center of who she really is because of his own reasons. Allie is very attracted to
Nick but, tries to keep her distance. This book has a lot of danger, traffickers, romance and action ( both good and bad kinds )

The book was written well, the characters are great and I think the story will definitely keep your attention as It did mine.

A heart so savage was a great ending to Ava and Kingston’s story. The conclusion was so good. I couldn’t put the book down. So many questions were answered and there was so much suspense and action. Wow. I want to say, I didn’t see that happening but I kinda did. Just not to that extent. Shocked is an understatement. This boon had it all. It was emotional, hot, and just all together crazy. I love Kingston and Ava and love how Kingston says she was always his from that day he saw her in her parents kitchen. He was like a man obsessed. I’m so glad he did what he did by stealing Ava for Carson’s debt. The last few chapters had me doing crazy. Ava is one head strong girl and is perfect for Kingston. I couldn’t picture him being with anyone else but her. I must say, I might even have a tiny soft spot for Oliver now. Another great read. I’m so glad I was able to read the savage duet. Whispered Surrender (Sinful Duets #1)Whispered Surrender by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Whispered Surrender is a collection of two great reads about twin sisters Sasha and Marenah. I find it crazy how they both fell for guys who were best friends but at different times without even knowing eachother.

Wayward is a book about Jay and Sasha. As soon as Jay spotted Sasha on a recording he wanted to get to know her. There are so many moving parts in these books and they are full of fast paced action. Jay is running a team of guys protecting very important clients. Sasha is here In The states as a ballet dancer but she has very important family weather they acknowledge her and her twin or not. Jay and Sasha get to know one another and Jay is trying to keep Sasha safe. She falls for him but doesn’t really believe his feelings are real.

undercover is the second book which is about Matt and Marenah. Matt is undercover trying to get some information from some very important high profile guys in the mafia. His cover is blown and he’s in the basement of a bar beating beaten when he wakes up and there’s a beautiful blonde tied up next to him. He doesn’t know much about Marenah but he vows to help her escape and keep her safe. Matt and Jay are part of the same team and when Matt’s team is there causing a distaction, both Matt and Marenah are able to get away but they are taken away separately. Undercover confused me a bit at the end after everything happened and Marenah had to go back with Scottie and clear up some paperwork. Is Scottie one of the good guys or is he dirty like so many others. These were both great reads. Just like all the other books by this author, I loved them!

A King So Savage (The Savage Duet #1)A King So Savage by April Moran
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I absolutely loved this book. It’s not for the faint of heart. Lots of triggers for some I guess but, it made the book that much better. Definitely a dark read. I love how Kingston knows who Ava is. He didn’t just have his men grab a stranger to hold captive until someone pays his debt. Kingston knows Ava and her brother. He also knows what her brother is capable of and just how Ava is pretty much a sitting duck in this whole book. Kingston might be holding her captive to use her to pay off her brother debt but, if he didn’t get to Ava first l, someone else might’ve and as much as Ava fights Kingston and tried to escape, the reality is, she’s safer with him then anyone else. He’s very protective of her and won’t let anyone else near what’s his and right now, she is his to do with as he pleases. Ava is his little lamb who can be quite feisty when she wants to be. She doesn’t just sit there and wait to see what happens. She tries to find ways to escape even though that’s the worst thing she can do. I cannot wait to see what the next book has in store for the readers. This was definitely a 5 star read for me.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I can honestly say that I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. One day, a hot football player notices Jamaica and starts talking to her. She of course doesn’t give him the time of day until she is paired up with him on a project for the class. Of course Callahan Is the hot football player everyone knows and loves so he has his fan club following him everywhere interrupting their study sessions.
Callahan doesn’t stop trying to flirt with Jamaica and I love their banter. They really are so sweet together when Jamaica finally lets her guard down and gives in to Callahan’s irresistible charm.
Jamaica is on a scholarship so needs to keep her grades up. Somehow, information is leaked that she is getting special treatment which is helping her with her grades so her big project is under review by lots of people. What will happen with Jamaica’s scholarship? Always likes this authors writing and this book was no different. Definitely another 5 star read for me.

Shane and Winter have such a past. They knew eachother as kids. Both are completely different people now. Is there a chance they can work out their issues from their childhood?
There’s a lot of action and suspense in this book. Who was there the day Winter and her sister were pushed into the water? Was it Winter’s mom? Was it a friend? Wow just wow. Never saw that ending coming. What a great ending to an amazing series. I hope this author continues writing amazing books like this series.

Quick Affirmations for Children: A to Z of Easy Motivations for Creating Better days - Positive Affirmations for Happy ChildrenQuick Affirmations for Children: A to Z of Easy Motivations for Creating Better days – Positive Affirmations for Happy Children by Kim Ann
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I thought this was a great tool to use. It was colorful, fun, great pictures and the kids loved it. Which is a big plus. The kids didn’t see it as a learning tool but more
Of a fun book / game. As a nanny to pre school aged kids, I give this 5 stars.

The Inquisitor (WaterFyre Rising Book 4) by Nadia Han – Review by Michelle Mulvey

The Inquisitor (WaterFyre Rising, #4)The Inquisitor by Nadia Han
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Inquisitor is book 4 in the series and probably my favorite. I love the guys in the group who all have their over book in the series but this one….not sure why but this definitely was the best on my opinion. I love the chemistry between Forrest and Kiera.
They are pretty much part of the same friend group. One night the chemistry is just too much and they end up having a one night stand that rocked both their worlds. When Forrest woke up, she was gone. No note, nothing! So they pretty much avoided eachother now they are face to face while away on business and they can’t overcome what’s between then. There’s definitely unfinished business.
Forrest is definitely an alpha male and protects what is his. When something happens to Kiera Forrest doesn’t have any option but to get to bottom of everything. Such a great read!

Wicked Games (Hidden Valley Elite Book 7) by Isla Vaughn – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Wicked Games (Hidden Valley Elite #7)Wicked Games by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was so suspenseful. I can’t give enough praise about this entire series. This author really nailed it with these 4 cousins and their stories.
Shane and Winter see eachother at the coffee shop and are instantly attracted to eachother. They have a past that Winter doesn’t seem to be able to remember until close to the ending.
Winter lost her entire family as a child. Her dad died, her sister died, and he mom is in prison. Her mom is looking for an early release but even if isn’t granted, she’s only got 2 years left. Someone has stalking Winter and leaving her scary threatening notes.
Winter and Shane have a mutual attraction. Shane tries to remember what type of
Person Winter was but that was a long time ago. Maybe she has changed…become nicer..He still plans for payback
Shane has had a rough go these last few months. His luck doesn’t seem to be changing. I cannot wait for the final
Book in this series but I also hate for it to end.

The Christmas Escape by Belinda Williams – Review by Michelle Mulvey

The Christmas EscapeThe Christmas Escape by Belinda Williams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I absolutely loved this sweet holiday read. Lizzie is down on her luck but is still there to help out her best friend when she needs her to. She ends up taking her non refundable ticket to Australia and decides just enjoy the holiday and regroup. She doesn’t plan on being hit in the face with a kids football. That football to the face was the best thing ever. She ends up meeting Jaz…the father of the kid who hit her. The very hot father!!! Jaz and Lizzie end up becoming friendly and hang out a few times and then Jaz invites her over for a holiday bbq lunch with a few friends which she accepts and that is when their friendship turns into more. What’s the harm In a little holiday fling when there’s an expiration date ? Usually there’s no harm in that unless feelings become involved which they clearly do. Great holiday read for a quick escape from the real world.
