You And Me Equals Love By Marina Hanna – Review by Michelle Mulvey

You and Me Equals LoveYou and Me Equals Love by Marina Hanna
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I liked this book but it was different from what I’ve usually read by this author. Usually multiple POV’s is good in my eyes but this book, didn’t have the same affect on me. I loved the story. I loved everything about Kate and Ben with their relationship. How they met, how they got together and everything about them. It seemed odd to have so much about Jenny and Josh. I get they were best friends with the Mc’s but I didn’t really care much about their drama 🙂
Kate and Ben had a fair amount of drama which some was caused by Kates insecurities and couldve been avoided but I loved the ending. This is one of my favorite authors to read so cannot wait for her next read.

Cruel Love (Hidden Valley Elite Book 6) by Isla Vaughn – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Cruel Love (Hidden Valley Elite #6)Cruel Love by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The conclusion to Phoenix and Aspen’s story. I couldn’t think of a better way for their story to go. These two had a really rough time since they met and how everything happened. I love the girls in this series. They are all so strong. Not sure how Aspen handled everything but she did it and did it well. As for Phoenix…well I guess the truth to his feelings for Aspen are there when it matters. The elite may be these big, strong guys who don’t date or settle down but all it takes is for one break thru to their heart and that’s that! Definitely loved this story with all the drama and hurdles thrown in. Looking forward to Shane’s book next!

LIES-TRUTH-LOVE by Marina Hanna – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Lies - Truth - LoveLies – Truth – Love by Marina Hanna
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I definitely enjoyed reading this book. There was so much drama in the book but it was soooo good. Ethan and Olivia had chemistry right from the beginning. Too bad Ethan didn’t check all Olivia’s boxes for what she looks like in a guy but technically he did. Hence where the lies come in. Guys should know by now, no sense in hiding the truth. It always comes out before you let us in on it. Olivia and Ethan met in a coffee shop one day when Ethan came to
Olivia’s rescue when she wasn’t seeing eye to eye with a guy she was set up with on a blind date. Ethan and Olivia kept meeting eachother every day at the same coffee shop and became friends until they decided, enough with the blind dates, he will be her plus one for a family destination wedding.
Ethan and Olivia actually end up falling for eachother until she realizes everything has been a huge lie. Will they ever have the chance to fall in love or will those lies be to strong to overcome?

Ignite My Heart (North Fork Series Book 2)Ignite My Heart by Alicia Street
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed reading Ignite My Heart. Being a nanny myself, I can totally relate haha! I liked the 2 main characters along with Ciara. This book is about a woman named Blake who has had nothing but bad luck for as long as she can remember. Her marriage fell apart, her husband decided he wanted a divorce when she could t get pregnant and then married another woman who was pregnant with his baby.
Blake was laid off and now she is staying in a dark dilapidated backwoods cottage of a friends for free.

Blake’s brother decides to introduce her to his friend Morgan who is looking for a live-in nanny. At first, Blake gets annoyed and walks out but after
getting home to a leak, she decides maybe it’s not such a bad thing after all.

Morgan has big baby mama drama. His daughter is 9 years old and now all of a sudden, Fawn wants to see her daughter and wants custody of her.

Morgan and Blake have so much sexual tension that they try so hard to fight until they can’t anymore. Will Blake just be a nanny with benefits or will Morgan finally show her how much she means to him and have a real relationship with her? This is the first book I’ve read by this author and thought it was a good read.

Cruel Hate (Hidden Valley Elite Book 5) by Isla Vaughn – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Cruel Hate (Hidden Valley Elite #5)Cruel Hate by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I cannot stress enough how good this entire series is. That being said every single book gets better and better.
This particular book is about Aspen Reid and Phoenix Bennett. Phoenix was one of my favorite character throughout the books. He always seems calm, cool and quiet. This book is about how Phoenix and Aspen hooked up one night and now she is pregnant and they both go to the same college so see eachother regularly. They are “fake dating” the mean girls are all over Aspen every chance they get. Luckily she has a few girls in her corner.

These two characters are both such strong lovable characters but they can’t get on the same page. Phoenix grew up without a dad and he refuses to let his child grow up the same way. He’s always giving Aspen money for things, but she doesn’t really want that. I mean, yea it helps but she just wants him there. To ask how she’s feeling, show up and ask how doctor appointments went.

Phoenix grew up having a very strong relationship with his grandfather. His grandfather snaps his fingers and they jump. When his grandfathers asks him to do one thing, he doesn’t know if he will be able to however, he HAS TO!!! There will be consequences if he doesn’t follow through with grandfathers orders.
The way this book ended was crazy. I was like NO WAY!!! I usually hate books with cliffhangers but Jeez, this author just sucks her readers in with every word she writes. Another great book to add to this amazing series and cannot wait to see what happens on the next few books!
Grab your copies today. Seriously what are you waiting for. You will thank me!!

Books should be read on order to avoid spoilers.

When Bridget finds out her fiancé is cheating on her, who else to take on your planned honeymoon but your bestfriend. Everyone needs a best friend like Bridget’s!
Bridget makes her way to a deserted beach with a bottle of liquor and sees someone surfing.
It’s just the two of them on the beach and they end up sharing an amazing together until dirt calls.
Bridget leaves and doesn’t look back. 1 year later she decides to go back and get closure.
Of course she ends up seeing Fyn again.

I felt bad for Bridget throughout the book. She was treated horribly by the King and Queen and some others. I couldn’t believe what happened or who was behind it. Just wow! Good 4* read

Russian and Royally Complicated (The Crowned Hearts Series Book 2) by Gwyn McNamee and Christy Anderson – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Russian and Royally ComplicatedRussian and Royally Complicated by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was just crazy. I loved it and was hooked from the very first chapter. I really wish I read book 1 first but didnt realize the order of them is recommended to be read that way.
Daphne is visiting Lovolia for her best friend Bridget’s wedding to prince Fyn. Every time Daphne comes for a visit, her and Fyn’s best friend…a member of the Royal guard Lev are at eachothers throats. They can’t stand eachother. He’s always grumpy and she’s just loud with no clue on how to act around royalty.
Things change in the reading room at the wedding. These two finally hate screw eachother thinking it will get it out of their system.

Daphne is dropped off at the airport when the couple leaves for their honeymoon but she decides to go to Elysium….only one problem…that’s where lev is staying for holiday while Fyn and Bridget are on their honeymoon.

When Lev finds out Daphne is there, he wants her to leave. Both of these characters have lots of baggage. Lots of things on their minds. They agree to stay out of eachothers way until they don’t.

Just when you think you know what’s going to happen, the suspense of the situation hooks you right in.

There’s a lot more to this book than 2 people who can’t stand eachother hooking up at their best friends wedding. There’s lots of feelings. There some happy, some sad, some scared and some heat! Great 5 star book

Sleeping with the Enemy (Astoria Royals Book 3) by Deborah Garland – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Sleeping with the Enemy (Astoria Royals, #3)Sleeping with the Enemy by Deborah Garland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mafia Romance is my newest obsession so I knew I had to read this as soon as I saw it. I loved the story of Priscilla and Riordan.
Many years ago Riordan was close with Priscilla and her dad. He was a few years older than her and they both had feelings for eachother. Riordan knew he wanted to make her his but he wanted to wait until she was 18. One year she offered herself to him but he turned her down and she ran from a party. When Riordan found her she was being attacked by 3 men and he saw red! He rescued her but he was too late to save her from SA. She left and he never saw her again until many years later. She was the girlfriend / sub of the enemy.
She was undercover and looked different so he didn’t know it was her immediately but she knew who he was. That night she saved him from being shot. He took her home, had her patched up and when he found out who she was, refused to let her go.

He vows to keep her safe even though she wants to go back to finish what she started and get a promotion she’s been looking forward to. When she finally returns to the enemy to get her stored evidence, it won’t be so easy to get what she needs and leave. The Mafia doesn’t give up so easily. I really enjoyed this book and the characters. Another 5 star read from this author for me.

Regaining Integrity (Code of Honor)Regaining Integrity by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First let me say, this author is amazing and everything I’ve read is always too notch. She knows how to keep her readers happy.

This is book 3 in a series of stand alones and does not disappoint. In this book there is Angelica who is a math teacher that everyone loves. She has definitely changed from her teenage years. Now she’s confident, beautiful and doesn’t put up with anyone’s garbage.

Chase is home from the military and cannot wait to get back to his life. Before he left for the military, he was a real heartbreaker. He never wanted anyone for more than a night. One afternoon he picks his nephew up from school and spots Angelica. Not only does his nephew have a crush on her but now Chase decides he wants her also. Chase doesn’t recognize Angelica but she recognizes him immediately. She tries to brush him off but he is persistent. Will Angelica ever be able to forgive him for how he treated her in high school? Will she be able to give him a chance?

Loved this book and the characters. A definite small down page turner!

Cruel King by K.M. Scott – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Cruel KingCruel King by K.M. Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cruel king is a great book with lots of heart. I loved everything about this book. Matthias was such a cruel person to Ava as they were growing up. Treated her as the help. She was / is the daughter of the help but Mr King never treated anyone any different. He saw Ava as the daughter he never had.
Ava and Theo, ( one of the younger brothers of Matthias ) were best friends. Like so close and did everything together. Ava always had a crush on Matthias and Matthias always had a crush on Ava but he was warned away from her. Matthias, being the eldest King son, had certain rules to abide by. One day during a severe snow storm, Ava walks up to the main house while Mr King and all the sons except Matthias have driven into the city and they get stuck there for two days. During those two days, Matthias and Ava get very close and have an amazing 2 days together which soon comes to an end.

Ava is sent to
Spend time with her Aunt and never looks back. Matthias and Ava don’t see eachother or speak for 5 long years. In those 5 years, he ends up hating her for leaving him without a word. He treats her so bad when when they see eachother again at the King mansion.
This book was so good. So many feelings and lots of heart and heat. A great 5 star read

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sliding into Home is the 3rd book in the series and a great book from beginning to end. I love second chance romance books and this one was perfect.
Jeff and Kia had a one night stand 6 years ago and it was amazing. Jeff moved shortly after and then Kia moved to get away from her controlling verbally abusive parents and be closer to her sister.
Now they are both living in the same town and Jeff actually Coaches Kia’s son in T-Ball! Talk about small world or fate! This book has a lot of ups and downs. How will Jeff react when he finds out Max is actually his son? Jeff is in the public eye alot and Kia doesn’t want to be part of that. She doesnt want and her son posted about in gossip columns because of their relationship To Jeff. When someone runs to a gossip Column with lies about Kia and her relationship with Jeff, that definitely doesn’t sit well with her. Will Jeff and Kia get the happily
Ever After they both deserve or will these lies tear them apart. Such a great book!!! Loved it!

Love Is What It Is by Marina Hanna – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Love Is What It Is: A holiday RomanceLove Is What It Is: A holiday Romance by Marina Hanna
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love is what it is and some people can’t describe it. Sometimes it happens quickly,
Sometimes it doesn’t happen at all.
Toni and Clive are seeing eachother / sleeping together and Clive mentions, they should go away for a bit. So they end up getting on a plane and taking a trip. What could better than a relaxing flight, a vacation with lots of sex, sun, sand and the ocean? Except all they did was fight from the time they got to the airport and it just got worse when they checked in to the hotel. Toni ends up leaving while he’s still asleep And booking a room at a much nicer hotel. As she’s about to check in, she locks eyes with a beautiful man and they are both attracted to eachother immediately. Mickey ends up stepping in when Clive shows up harassing Toni then introduces himself and they get to talking. They have a steamy, fun, romantic 2 week holiday while she’s there. All good things must come to an end though. Especially when there’s an ex wife who just won’t leave Mickey alone.
This book had me interested from the very beginning. It was fairly short but there was no boring pages filled with useless info added in. The book flowed and was captivating. Loved it.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book….where do I even begin?? This book totally had me captivated since the very beginning. I feel like it was a bit longer then I usually but it needed to be. There was so much going on.
Salvatore was abandoned at such a young age. His mama was taken from him by someone but he doesn’t know who. He grew up with his grandmother until she passed away. He swore he would find who was responsible and make them pay.
He had his eye on Serafina for
Many years. They would see eachother at the beach and both looked forward to catching glimpses of eachother. There’s a lot of suspense, a lot of action and a whole
Lot of heat in this book. I don’t want to give anything away but it’s so hard.
The characters are all so strong and just incredible. There are some who you will not like from the beginning. I loved how this whole book played out and ended. Family is everything. Mafia books are my
New favorite genre to read. 5+++ stars. Cannot wait to see what gem the author brings out next!

Grand Slam (Ground Rule Book 3)Grand Slam by Bree Kraemer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Grand Slam is book 3 in the series and this series just keeps getting better and better. I love these characters and want to be friends with them. Haha
This book is focused on Heath and his love interest.
Back when they did the bachelor auction he met a thorn in his side names Grace who ran the animal shelters they were raising money for. She seemed very bossy and tested Heath like a child. They both seemed to
Dislike eachother a great deal. Why can’t either of them get the other out of their mind?
They see eachother again at the hospital when Hannah has her baby. Grace and Heath end up sleeping at Hannah’s house for the night until Grace leaves first thing in the morning trying to put space between her and Heath before something could happen.
To bad for Grace, Heath doesn’t give up
Easily. This was such a great read and cannot wait to see what else this author has to share with us.

Cruel Start (Hidden Valley Elite #4.5)Cruel Start by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This author struck gold with this series. The first few books were great and add this prequel in and now I’m dying for the next book.
This is mainly about Aspen ( the new girl to town ) and Phoenix. She doesn’t know him or his reputation and he doesn’t know her as they go to different schools. They literally run into eachother one day and neither can get the other out of their mind.
A few days later they see eachother again and this time they get to know eachother a bit. When their time is over He walks away without looking back.
They both are going to Thane so they will see eachother around campus. What will happen when Aspen lets him in on what she finds out. Aside from the chemistry between these two. Phoenix just might be a genius for what he manages to pull off with Shane. Cannot wait to see what happens there. Amazing addition to a great series and impatiently waiting for Cruel Hate!

Brutal Nights was such a good read. Brutal Days and Brutal Nights are Damon’s books. After that cliffhanger at the end of Brutal Days, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one. Damon seemed like he was the most
Blah out of the 4 guys. After reading this,
Your going to fall
Inlove with him. I honestly didn’t think Damon had it
In him but I totally
Swooned for him.
Parts of this book reminded me so much of
Riley’s story. This definitely had a lot more going on. Gia and Sky were best friends but will they be able to remain best friends when Gia refuses to hear Sky out? Gia and her family have done a lot for Sky and her mom especially when they needed it. Will Gia be there for Sky when it really counts?

Sacrifice Bunt (Ground Rule Book 2)Sacrifice Bunt by Bree Kraemer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This series is nothing but amazing. I loved the first book and wasn’t sure I’d enjoy this one as much. Boy was I wrong. Zara and Noah made an appearance in the first book and they finally have their shot to tell their story. Zara is probably one of the strongest female characters I’ve been able to stand reading. I loved her from the beginning. She is the type of girl who isn’t looking for love. She wants to get what she needs and move on. She met Noah many years ago in college and thought he didn’t remember who she was. Boy was she wrong. There was a reason why he left her standing there after the fire the way he did. He wanted nothing more than to get to know her but, everyone has some baggage / stressful things they can’t bare. When Noah and Zara finally have to be in the same room without any buffers the sparks will fly. Zara tries to push Noah away at every turn but, Noah is a lot stronger and a lot more patient then she thinks. This was such a great 5+ star read. Cannot wait to read the next book.

Someone to watch over me was just amazing and beautifully written from the very beginning to the very end. I
Absolutely loved reading Lucia and Angelo’s story. They grew up together as best friends. He was a toddler when she was born. His mother and Lucia’s mom were best friends. Both Angelo and Lucia have been Inlove with eachother for the last 20 years but neither of them knew how the other one felt. Angelo refused to tell Lucia because he didn’t want to be her first love, but he wanted to be her last love. Just when they think, they can have the happily ever after, of course something happens ripping them apart again.

I didn’t like the main character Ethan and that was it. I gave it a chance and kept reading. There was a change and
I found the book to be a good read. There were reasons why Ethan was the way he was towards Siena. I’m still stuck on why Joyce was sending those emails to Siena. That confused me a bit but all in all, it was a great story once I got into it and I enjoyed reading it.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The book was full of everything I love in a book…plenty of heart, feelings and second chance. Jasmine is an adorable smart little girl who loves her mom and never knew her dad. Celia is a beautiful girl who broke Kyle’s heart about 8 years ago when she broke up with him and told him she didn’t love him. Not only was Kyle heartbroken but so was she. Kyle was able to move on and have other relationships but he always thought back to Celia and never stopped loving her. Imagine their surprise when they run into eachother at a friends wedding. Both characters have had heartbreak growing up from family members and still carry that baggage. What will happen when Celia finally tells Kyle the truth….why she broke up with him and didn’t give him the chance to choose what he wanted for his future. Will he be able to forgive Celia for what she did / didn’t do all those years ago? This book was definitely a 5 star read. I loved all the characters and cannot wait to read the next book and see what the author has in store for Zara. Grab your copy of this book and you won’t be able to

Oh my goodness….Brutal Days….amazing! I absolutely loved it and can’t wait for the next book. How am I supposed to wait like a month or more to find out what happens. I’m sorry I strongly disliked Damon in previous books but this book….I think I love him. He seems like the egotistical jerk but when he finds someone who may or may not be his type and finds something that he wants, he won’t stop trying to get it. No one ever says no to the elite but Skylar isnt like most girls ( the elite fan club ) she’s trying to be a good friend and help her best friend complete her senior list of what she wants to accomplish. Even if that puts her close to the one guys she can’t stand. This whole series so far is soooo good.
