Movie Star (21st Century Courtesan, #2) by Pamela DuMond – Review by Katie Matthews

Movie Star (21st Century Courtesan, #2)Movie Star by Pamela DuMond
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Movie Star is the second book in the 21st Century Courtesan series and oh my gosh what an absolutely amazing read! I would recommend that book 1 is read before this one just so you fully understand what is going on.
I really loved the first book in the series and wondered whether book 2 would live up to my expectations and it did and more! I was hooked from the very first page and I didn’t put the book down until I had finished! I love it when a book has me so captivated that I can’t put it down! The characters are just amazing and I love Evie! I think she is just fantastic! And I loved how I warmed to Jake over the story!
There is so much going on in this story but at no point did I find I was lost or did the story lose its way. The pace and flow were just fantastic!
I 100% recommend this book and this series! It is outstandingly written and I really hope there is more to come from this author in the future – she is fast becoming one of my favourites!!

MOVIE STAR (21st Century Courtesan Book 2)MOVIE STAR by Pamela DuMond
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

MOVIE STAR by Pamela DuMond is the second book in the 21st Century Courtesan series. The story is well written and drew me in from the beginning. I recommend reading the first book in the series before reading this book. The story is about a courtesan who is paid by high end clientele to help them because they are broken in some form. This is a roller coaster of emotions and had me hoping that Jake Keller could be helped. I really enjoyed the build up and how the story concluded. I am looking forward for more in this series to see where the story will go. The secondary characters are also good and do not feel like a way to side track from the story. Everything fits together well.

MOVIE STAR (21st Century Courtesan Book 2)
By: Pamela DuMond
5 out of 5 stars

The story MOVIE STAR (21st Century Courtesan Book 2) by Pamela DuMond is a new adult/romance book. It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the end. It is a book that has steamy/seductive scenes. There are also moments when I wondered what was going to happen next. The story kept me turning pages. One of the main characters is a 21st-century Courtesan. She is a woman who is beautiful, strong, and independent. She is someone who helps others. She is a character whose life is intriguing and complicated. Her current assignment is Jake Keller, a movie start that could be called broken. Will she be able to find out the truth behind why Jake has shut down? Read this story to find out. This book had my emotions going up and down the entire time I read it. I found Jake to be a character that could be described as kind, good-hearted, with a heavy burden. He is a character that I grew to care about and wished for him to be happy. There are additional characters that are included some of which I enjoyed reading about and others I had to wonder as to their agenda and motives. There is emotional and intense dialogue. The story flows smoothly and I found it a joy to read. This is the second book in a series and I loved it just as much as the first one. I am looking forward to reading the next story.

Movie Star (21st Century Courtesan Book 2) by Pamela Dumond – Review by Heather Lovelace

Movie Star (21st Century Courtesan, #2)Movie Star by Pamela DuMond
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This series has taken me by surprise. From the synopsis pieces immediately resonated. But still I was unsure if I would connect to the story. My doubts were immediately erased as soon as I read the first page. Dumond has created a world in this series, and maintained in this second installment, whereby the reader immediately dives headfirst into the plot and connects unabashedly to our main character. Masterfully written, this book stands on its own well but is best appreciated to the full when read as part of the series and in series order. Dumond has a unique voice and writing style that is easily followed but not lacking in rich flavor. Wonderfully done. I cannot wait to immerse myself in these pages again.

Move Star (21st Century Courtesan Book 2) by Pamela Dumond – Review by Maura Harper

Movie Star (21st Century Courtesan, #2)Movie Star by Pamela DuMond
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the second book in the “21st Century Courtesan” series and I think it’s important to read book one first. There are a few common threads that are vital to understand in order to move the story forward.

I FLOVED this book. I don’t know how many stories there will be in this series, but book two was amazing. I read it in one sitting from beginning to end. It moves quietly along packing punch after punch, from beginning to end I was entranced by the story.

MOVIE STAR is written with a sleakness that I cannot describe. There is ALOT going on yet it was easy to follow along. I would classify this as a story with misdirections to make you look this way while something is happening that way. A story with characters that pulled on my heartstrings while building up to something even bigger.

This is one of those books that I would give more than 5 stars to if I could.

I absolutely recommend this story and this series (read in order, of course).

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Second book in this series, I highly recommend reading the first book before this one to help enhance your enjoyment and keep up with the characters in this series. I loved this book as much as the first. Evie’s story continues as she takes on movie star, Jake as a client. Will he prove to be a challenge and is her stalker getting closer? The characters are well developed and creative, they truly make the story especially Evie. No regrets picking up this book, a must read!

MOVIE STAR: Book Two

Gorgeous movie star Jake Keller’s on track to win an Oscar. But Jake’s shutting down, going off grid. I travel to Hollywood to try and help discover what — or who — broke Jake. But powerful people want Jake’s dirty little secret to stay buried and are willing to do anything to keep it that way.

Is one of them Easton Wolfe – the same man I broke so many years ago?

——
I’m a 21ST CENTURY COURTESAN.

Beautiful, broken billionaires pay Ma Maison Agency ungodly sums of money to be with me because I’m empathic: I feel their emotions in my body. I track down the bitter belief that broke them and then I help them heal.

I’m down to my last four clients. One wants to play me. One wants to buy me. One wants to marry me. And one wants to murder me. Will I get out in time…
