This is the second book by the author I’ve had the pleasure of having. Although this is the first Audio Book I’ve had by her. Emily Ember is a great narrator and I loved it.
Naomi lives on the edge of the town cemetery. She loves living there and it gives her great help when it comes to writing. As an author she thrives on it. When she meets Maggie things go bad. She is determined to finish Maggie’s story. The quote I chose for Naomi is: “Give me a second and we’ll get going.”
Maggie is the ghost that is haunting Naomi. She wants…no she needs Naomi to figure out what happened. She needs Naomi to write her story; to finish her story. The quote I chose for Maggie is: “My story. Not much to tell. Sorry to disappoint you.”
Highly recommended for Crime lovers.

Maggie is a well written book that you can fully immerse yourself into. As you listen to the story you find yourself connecting with the different character’s as their lives are described to you and as they develop throughout the story.

Welcome to 10 plus hours of Paranormal Suspense. With romance in the story as well. No spoilers here. You have to read it to believe it!
Maggie has haunted this old house for years. Naomi, a writer has just moved in with her cat. The cute little cottage is next to a cemetery and is the perfect place to write her next book. Naomi had just left a bad relationship and wanted a new start. When she meets Ryan, he is perfect in many ways, always hungry and never late, and Bryce is the handsome neighbor, with one cutie of a daughter. She is torn who she wants to spend time with. Well that is all you get for now.
Mya O’Malley wrote this suspenseful paranormal. It is well written and fun to read. If you like ghosts and solving crimes. I read this story years ago, I loved it then. I love it even more as an Audiobook. The characters are well explained and true to their descriptions. The story is fast paced and will keep you reading until the end. I absolutely recommend this book in Audio for the bone chilling intense storyline. Well Done Mya O’Malley! Well Done!

O’Malley is a master storyteller and hearing this book come to life – simply amazing. I was transfixed. I thought the narrator did a fantastic job breathing life into the pages. Much like the book, I couldn’t stop listening to this work without finishing it. I cannot wait to give it another listen. Loved it.

When I read the synopsis of this book I pictured it a certain way….. Well that will teach me to never judge a book by its synopsis, hahaha. Mya took me on a very unexpected journey with this intriguing story about two ladies who kind of experienced the same kind of troubling relationship. Mya kept me guessing the whole time and believe me I had A LOT of theories.
Emily also does a good job with the narration but some places I had to do a double take to make sure which character was speaking.
All and All an AMAZING first book from a new Author to me.

The House That Adelia Built spins a tale full of love, lies, and betrayal at the hands of a man Adelia calls Augustus – her own husband.
In the late 1800s, Augustus finds a job as lighthouse keeper on a beautiful but isolated island. He can’t wait to bring his new bride home to the lighthouse set on majestic bluffs, which have laid claim to many shipwrecks. Augustus soon suffers from the effects of self-induced isolation, as Adelia watches him slowly lose his grip on reality until he turns mad, bringing forth dire consequences.
Meet Hope, a modern-day quiet, quirky young woman with a case of agoraphobia – or so it would seem. She feels an inexplicable pull toward the lighthouse and the bluffs beyond. Hope struggles with her internal battle and seeks to find the truth about her unsettling, recurring nightmares. Maybe then, she can discover why she has always felt so alone and unusual.
Enter Clooney, a handsome, unassuming stranger who soon becomes so much more to Hope. The very woman who has guarded her heart in the past will soon find herself wrapped in a web of denial, leading to a heart-wrenching reality. For every truth she exposes, more heartache is found. Hope must come face-to-face with her worst fears, as she uncovers the mystery surrounding her spellbinding connection to the lighthouse.

Maggie is the first book in the Maggie Trilogy by Mya O’Malley. This is the first book I have listened to by Ms. O’Malley, but I will definitely be listening the rest of this trilogy because this first book really intrigued me. This book had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning, with all the twists and turns, I didn’t know where we would be going next. This story flowed and before I knew it I was at the end. The paranormal factors were fascinating. Naomi and Maggie are truly strong and unusual characters. If you like a great ghost story with romance added in, this is the book for you. Can’t wait to read the rest of this series.
This is the first book I have listened to narrated by Emily Ember. She has a very distinct voice and at the beginning I wasn’t sure how If I would get used to it, but by the second chapter, she was really bringing those characters to life. I look forward to listening to more books narrated by Emily.

Maggie (Maggie Trilogy Book 1) AUDIO BOOK by Mya O’Malley was a great listen. I love to listen while driving and during work and this audio book did not disappoint. I loved the suspense and the narrator’s ability to leave me sitting on the edge of my seat. I loved Naomi and appreciated her development. I related more listening to someone narrate than just reading it myself. I cannot wait to listen to the rest of the series.

Wow! Be prepared to listen to this book all in one sitting. At about 10 hours in length, this story is riveting from the start.
Maggie by Mya O’Malley, is a marvelous creation! I love the way it is written from different characters points of view. You really feel as though you are in the story with them.
Naomi is running from a mentally unstable ex-boyfriend and falls right into a home near a cemetery. After her cat seems drawn to a particular grave, Naomi delves deep into the young girl’s “accidental” death and finds herself befriending a spirit.
Naomi is quickly falling for a few guys in the neighborhood, but isn’t sure who she can trust as her research starts bringing up some surprising accusations. Can Naomi solve the mystery of young Maggie’s death while staying sane? Or with she get caught in harms way and lose everything?
