In Book 2 of the WaterFyre Rising Series, this story focuses on two other friends from the group of friends in the 1st installment, Royce and Michelle. Royce is a volcanologist and Michelle, a travel blogger, finds themselves ironically enough in the country of Iceland. Their circumstances bring their friendship turned to romance together. From fake dating to healing, they end up needing each other more than they ever thought they would.
This was great reading after finishing the 1st book in the series. Another great asset to this story is that this can be a stand alone book without having to read the previous one. Or who knows perhaps for some, it will entice them to read the first book in the series. Another great romantic suspenseful story that has been reading till the very end. Very much enjoyed this book as much as the first and cannot wait till the next book in the series comes out!

Royce and Michelle. This was such a steamy book and such a good storyline. Royce is a hard guy to crack and Michelle still believes in love. The scientific and blogger storyline was a hook for me as well as the mystery. Royce grew up in a way that makes him scared to love and Michelle also didn’t know her father and he’d abandoned her. Royce has valid feelings in the beginning about not wanting to be like his father. Overall this book was a great read and I definitely recommend it.

The Daredevil is the second book in the Waterfyre Rising series, and it is incredible! I was captivated and breezed through the entire thing before I knew it! You can read this as a standalone if you so choose, but you don’t want to miss out on the magical writing of Nadia Han. I was at the edge of my seat and loved every minute of it.

Royce is our daredevil who loves adrenaline spikes and seeks the thrills that others shy away from. But underneath everything is a man who just wants to be loved and accepted. Michelle is traveling for a new job, but she has walls around her heart and emotions, unwilling to take risks again. Will they be enough to save each other from what they’ve accepted as life, or will they create another excuse to hide away?

You can feel the chemistry leaping off the pages and it comes so naturally, which was incredibly refreshing. This author will be a constant recommendation to anyone in my life for sure, I highly recommend it!

Audri is Rem’s best friends’ sister who carries guilt from a childhood incident that changed her family and left her scarred for life. Despite the darkness in both of them, they find light in one another even though Rem has left his heart guarded so long and Audri knows his reputation. But they are made for one another, water and fire, light and dark. Family secrets bring them together, reveals dark secrets and can destroy them both.
I read through this book overnight. I didn’t want to put it down. It had great suspense and I can usually guess the plot twists, but I definitely did not in this one!

This turned out to be a wonderful story! At first I was concerned about that is moving along at a slow pace with all the inter-speculation. That did bother me throughout the whole story but eventually I was able to get past it and get immersed into the story. The actual action and suspense throughout the story is attention grabbing. I loved that part of the story as well as the romance between Michelle and Royce. The connection between these two is cosmic and it is shown numerous times throughout the story. One of my favorite things is Royce’s job because of all the neat things I learned and I don’t think I have run across another one in my years of reading.

This story is filled with lovely sayings and thoughts. I loved that Royce is a volcanologist because that leads to a lot of cool and sweet sayings. One of my favorite…okay there is the T-shirt sayings (so cute!) but also:

“Love flows through all of us like magma flowing through the earth. Sometimes it takes an eruption for you to understand its beauty, its power, its essence—the love that is seeped within nature.”

Just makes me go Awe! See what I mean? Just filled with wonderful sentiment.

I really enjoy all the work this author puts into these stories. So many connections, fun filled times perfectly woven through the story. I get pulled into their lives and come to care about the characters and what is going to happen. I look forward to more from this series and this author.

I was not expecting all the steaminess this book provided. So if that isn’t your thing then this book will not be for you. It is done very tastefully compared to other books. However, once I started I could not stop. I had to know how their story played out!

Royce and Michelle are friends through their mutual friends. Their story turns out to be so much more. They discover that it’s the Universe that has put them in each other’s lives. They have encountered one another without really knowing. I loved that part of their story. They were destined to be together.

Royce was raised by his aunt and encountered some hard moments very early in his life that likely shaped him to be who he turned into. He is a successful business owner that Michelle was trying to not let herself get caught up in. When unlikely circumstances kept pushing them together!

The end, I was not expecting that at all. What a great happy twist and this author did an amazing job at making you feel like you were watching their story unfold and keeping you sucked in the whole time.

I knew I was going to love this book SO much! I read the first one and loved it from the very first page! It was the same for this one! I was actually stuck just from reading the blurb! So good! Characters are amazing, the plot was great! Author has a way of grabbing your attention and keeping you interested and I love that! And it’s friends to lovers? That’s one of my favorite tropes and I can’t get enough of it. Michelle and Royce are just great together! There’s some spice in this book as well but who doesn’t love that? 😍 the suspense and drama ALSO had me hooked. I need a book that gives me all the emotions and this book did that! Such a great read!! Check trigger warnings before reading!

What a great story! I love a good suspenseful mystery twirled with some romance. Book one of the WaterFyre Rising Series, this book features Remington or Remi, who emerges from his dark and mysterious past as he claims his own path in life being successful and not letting disruptions in his way. There is also Audri, the sister of one of Remi’s best friends, who is seeking her own path in the world amidst her own past and present struggles. The various moments they had appeared in each other’s lives, they always had a sense of connection and alluring connection for one another. When their circumstances fall into seeing each other more often, they eventually can’t help it but to see where this connection leads to. It is honestly amazing to see their love journey emerge.
As their relationship develops, other alarming details seem to start connecting Remi and Audri into unfortunate circumstances that seem all interconnected. Lies, deceptions, harassment, past secrets and betrayal lead them into such horrible situations they never imagined. Remi has been known to make sure those who wronged him got what they deserved but how would Audri feel about his actions towards protecting himself and those he cares for? This is a must read and a great introduction to another amazing series! Contemporary romance and suspense at its best!

There is a caution with this book so make sure to check it out before reading the book.
The Daredevil is a friends-to-lovers contemporary romance tale where the suspense is often palpable. Nadia has done it again with secrets and lies, danger and hope, steam and passion there is something for all to enjoy. It is the second book in the WaterFyre Rising series and can be read as a standalone, but I encourage you to read book 1 first as it is such a good read.
As the books title suggests the Daredevil is living life on the edge and the high and the thrill that goes with it. That is until he meets her. It is the one that could make him whole again?
She is living a half-life and that life is shrouded with a monster that no one can banish. That is until she meets him. He may just be the one who can fight her monster, but can he keep her safe?
This thrilling tale will have you on the edge of your seat as you embark on this journey of highs and lows
I can’t wait for the next instalment.

Emotional and enticing
This is the second book in the WaterFyre Rising and it’s just as good as the first. This book is about Royce and Michelle. I was so happy to see snippets of Remi and Audri. Royce is a strong, alpha male character who is very sure of himself but carries some pretty heavy baggage. Michelle also has her demons. Theirs is not an easy journey. Exceptional writing and highly recommend.

This is the second in the WayerFyre Rising series but you do not need to read the first to read this one. The main characters start off as friends from the same group who run into each other in Iceland. They get to be better friends and fake ( not for long) date. The suspense and action is well written. There are plot twists that surprise you and keep you on your toes. Some of the scenes may be too spicy for some (not me but some people may not like it). All in all great book!

This book certainty held its own! I have read others book by this wonderful author, and I must say this one gives appeal in a different sense but captivates just as the author’s other works have.

Royce and Michelle, really had the wow factor chemistry going on. I loved the romantic suspense between them and the mysterious plot that was at hand. I had a lot of curiosity as I read and I loved how the book kept me engaged and interested in the plot and the characters. I loved the development with characters and the relationships around them as well! The book had lot of intrigue, and suspense that builds up, in a good way, and left you nothing short of intrigued! Loved it!

Such a thrilling read. I could not put this one down! The author never disappoints me in anything that they write, highly recommend this must read book as well as the intriguing author behind the writing!

This is a romantic suspense that is exciting and full of drama. Someone is sabotaging Royce’s business and it goes back a long way. Michelle has come to Iceland to use her blog to help market a new line of cosmetics. Right off the bat you can feel the sparks ignite between these two. The author has written in such a way that you feel the ignition. There is a little spice in the book, it totally fits and keeps the ice away. I found the suspense and adventure keeps your adrenaline going as you are reading. You feel like you’re in the story. I felt engaged from the beginning. I’m becoming a fan of this series since The Mastermind. The protagonist is a strong woman that can get through the challenge and let’s the man help her at times. She’s brave but knows when she needs help. The plot was outstanding. I enjoyed trying to figure out who did it and what was going on. I like it when a book gives me this kind of plot along with romance. Big fan of romantic suspense here. I loved this book and believe that you should read it too.

Oh my goodness! This book is absolutely amazing and I could not put it down. I have to say as a general rule I am hesitant to read “brothers best friend” books but I have to say that this book definitely will have me thinking twice about avoiding them. The characters in this book were very well developed and I have to say that the plot was absolutely amazing. I love that it took what can be a very “normal” plot and made it into something that I’m not sure I will ever stop raving about. The characters are so multifaceted with dark secrets and pasts that definitely helped to develop them. I love that it has the added bonus of two characters that have known each other forever and have shared a spark since then. I truly loved Audri and Remi and was completely invested in them. I truly cannot recommend this book enough and am so glad that it is the first in a series as I definitely want to read more.

If you love a good forbidden romance with a brother’s best friends this is your kind of story. Our couple, Remi and Audri have tremendous chemistry together. This alpha has met his match with this fierce, smart, and very self-sufficient woman. Remi cannot help but fall for the beautiful Audri even though she is his best friend’s little sister! There are twists and turns giving you that stomach drop feeling hoping that after this they will be together. The author did a beautiful job of keeping the story moving in a very organic way without sacrificing any aspect of the story that needed telling. This is a wonderful start to what is sure to be an action packed, heat fueled series.

The Mastermind is a good read but it didn’t have a big pull to draw me completely into the story. I always enjoy a brother’s best friend and millionaire love story but somehow the connection of Remi and Audri fell a bit flat for me. They were a bit cheesy in a lot of the dialogue and at times their intimacy felt forced. I did enjoy the suspense the author gave us and the twists and turns we took to get the full mystery unraveled. I recommend because it did give me the happy ending I look for when reading this style I just failed with the character connection.

Sizzle, steam, mystery, back stories, drama, romance and of course an HEA!! You won’t regret giving this book a chance.

The Mastermind is book one in Waterfyre Rising by Nadia Han. Audri is his best friends little sister, meaning she’s off limits. Or is she? They are both adults and both unable to deny their attraction anymore. Remi is the insanely intelligent billionaire who turns into her boss who turns into someone she needs in her life. This pair plays with danger but not always knowingly or purposefully. Remi has been caught up in something for years and Audri has a guilt stricken past. You definitely fooled me in thinking Nadia had been writing forever, this just so happened to be her debut book. It was suspenseful, well written and kept my attention throughout. I enjoyed the twists and turns of the plot unraveling. I hope future books in this series circle back a little because I’d like to see how these characters get along in the future.

This book intrigued me in ways I did not expect! I loved the way Nadia combined so many different emotions into one book. Lust, love, fear, hope, betrayal, and belonging… Everything Audri and Remi felt, I felt too. I loved the twists in the story, and how everything from their pasts wove together.
If you are looking for “a brother’s best friend romance” – this is all that and more! From the undeniable attraction and longing to the steamy sex scenes, Nadia really delivers. She created so many wonderful characters, and I cannot wait to join them again in the second WaterFyre Rising book.

This book had my attention from the very first page! If you want an amazing read with spice and suspense…then this is the one for you. Remi is this dark guy with a past, he doesn’t wear his heart on his sleeve…but he has a soft spot for a girl in particular. So many things happened in this book and it kept me on my toes! Things happened that I didn’t expect and that’s what makes it great. I love the twists and turns. But of course, the spice 🤌🏽 phenomenal. Remi is definitely a mastermind and I highly recommend this!

First of all…this is not your normal brother’s best friend story…this is so much more!! There were so many twists and turns…and their pasts have pushed them to be the successful people they are today…but those same pasts threaten to tear them down and apart. I was sucked into this story til the very end. A great book by a new-to-me author. I will definitely be checking out what they write next!

This is a good book! I found the character’s really relatable. We all have things we hide from the world, and to watch Remi and Audri face their dark truths together was heartwarming. A great mix of steamy, romance and friendship. The overall plot was very interesting. I enjoyed every chapter!

Remi is living in a dark place, a billionaire who has strived to be the best and hide his past, but he has always had a core group of friends who have been there through all the issues with his dad and stepfamily especially his bully of a stepbrother.

He always felt safe and wanted at his friend Graysen’s house, with Mrs Wu always trying to feed them up and show warmth and love he did not have at his own home. As the year’s went on and college came and went Remi built his empire up around the Waterfront of his youth, but now will his past come back and the darkness seep deeper.

Audri Wu has always been the only girl in the group of boys that were constantly at her house, but she has always had a soft spot for Remi. While working at her job she becomes the target of harassment, although she has been to HR nothing really gets sorted but then suddenly there is an announcement that the company has been sold and in walks Remi, but as the chemistry between the two of them intensifies can they make a relationship work or will the past shatter it wide open.

This is the first time I have read anything by this author, and I loved the story and the characters. Remi and Audri’s characters complimented each other brilliantly with the dark and light. I love a forbidden love story and with the twist within this story just had me turning the pages to get to the thrilling parts, although I enjoyed the story it did in my opinion took a while to get going but I understand the backstory had to be told as this led them to this part.

The secondary characters where also a brilliant added addition and hope that this series grows so we get to see the other friends’ lives expanded and delve into the world of the Waterfyre in more detail.
