I loved this book! I received this book before the others in the series. I was able to understand the plot without reading the others first. However, I did go back and read them too! I love how they mixed the quirky humor with the sweet romance. It was a nice balance. You will fall in love with the characters!

This book was so cute. I loved reading Niko’s broken English. The heat between Niko and Chloe was perfect. You could literally feel the attraction jump off of the pages. They match so well.

Throughout the book everytime Peyton was mentioned I sighed and rolled my eyes. Custody battles are the worse. They bring out the worst in people and she was no different.
Super glad everything worked out.

I also didn’t realize it was apart of a series until after I finished the book.
I’m not menopause age yet but it was I testing reading about Chloe’s experience.

I absolutely love this book series. Who knew that menopause and hockey could go together so well? This is the third book in the Hot Flash Hookups series, and it continues to include all of our favorite past characters that we have grown to know and love. We get to watch the grumpy hockey goalie, Niko, as he battles for custody with his ex-wife for joint custody of his daughter and his strong attraction to the coach’s daughter Chloe. Is there room in his life for both a little romance with a gorgeous woman beginning menopause, who happens also to be an amazing hockey player, and to win the battle with his ex-wife who seems to enjoy playing games more than she cares about what’s best for their daughter’s well-being? You will not want to miss this next book of Marika Ray and Sylvie Stewart, who are a dynamic duo when it comes to writing amazing romance books with a lot of humor in them. Every single one of the books in this series has had me rolling with laughter as well as tearing up when the characters battle their self-worth while navigating their attraction to these cute hockey players who seem to ignore what’s right in front of them. Happy reading my friends, this is a great series to cuddle up with a nice cup of hot cocoa and a fuzzy blanket and enjoy a little romance.

Nikolai is a hockey goalie that is looking towards retirement with this possibly being his last season. He is currently in the middle of a nasty custody battle with his ex over their seven year old daughter. Chloe is a widow who is just dipping her toes back into the dating pool a few years after losing her husband. She also happens to be the daughter of Nikolai’s coach. Neither of them seems to be looking for a long term commitment however fate has something else in store for these two. This books was fun and the characters were loveable. I will most definitely be reading the other stories in this series.

This is the third book in the Hot Flash Hookups series, and it is steamy! It’s a delightful blend of romance, humor, and emotional depth that captures the complexities of love and responsibility. From the very first kiss in a crowded bar, the tension between our main characters is palpable. Chloe and Nikolai have electric chemistry! The author excels at portraying the complexities of their budding relationship. The narrative is infused with witty banter and heartfelt moments that resonate, making it hard not to root for both of them. Overall, this is a charming, heartfelt romance that tackles themes of redemption, love, and the challenges of parenthood with grace and humor. It’s a story that will resonate with anyone who has ever found themselves torn between what they want and what they think they should do. If you’re looking for a captivating read that combines steamy romance with relatable life challenges, this book is definitely worth picking up!

This book had me laughing out loud every time I read it. The banter between the two characters was incredibly. I loved that Chloe was honest and raw about her previously relationship, that isn’t seen in many books. I loved that she was not only able to admit it to herself, but was able to say it out loud also. I also loved that Nikolai was able to do the same about his relationship with Peyton. I have read all three books in this series and I have loved all of them. You are able to read this as a stand alone, but some of the characters are introduced in the previous books. I would recommend this series to anyone looking for a good, quick read.

Yay finally Niko’s book! I’ve been intrigued by him since book one and so glad we get to see his life.
And his little daughter, ugh what a sweet kid.

I love this series and while part of a series you can read as a standalone as each book is about a different couple.
I felt like I was in this story with them all. You feel each emotion, the love, hate, anger , panic all of it and that’s what a good story should do.
I can’t wait for more stories of the team.

Another home run, or should I say hat trick, for this author combo. I love spicy hockey romance stories and this is another great one in this series. All three books have been great so far and I just loved the dynamic between Chloe and Nikolai, plus there was Ayana. I love all the links to the hockey guys and their gals from the previous two books. Chloe, Nikolai, Sylvie and Marika make magic happen when they team up. You’ve got perimenopause drama, spice, humor, hockey players, a single dad trying to win custody of his daughter, and so much more all rolled up in one story. Easy and quick read for me but loved it (as expected based on previous reads by this duo)!

This is the 3rd book in the Hot Flash Hookup series. I have really enjoyed these books. I love how the main leads are older characters that find their second chance at love. The characters are really well written and are believable. You can’t help but feel invested in their stories.
This is Niko and Chloe’s story. Niko is the goalkeeper for a famous hockey team. He is also a dad fighting for custody of his daughter so the last thing on his mind is romance.
Chloe is a widower who is looking to restart her life after losing her husband. When she meets Niko in a bar and after sharing a steamy kiss she never expected anything more.
So imagine Niko’s surprise when he realises that Chloe is the coaches daughter. If she wasn’t off limits before she definitely is now.
However the attraction between them is so strong that it gets harder and harder to ignore. So what will happen when Niko takes on Chloe to be his daughter’s nanny? Will this completely dampen any attraction or will her close proximity every day only stoke the flames more?
This is a fun, flirty, steamy read about 2 people who find each other despite their own battles with child custody and the dreaded menopause.

Night Sweats and Hockey Nets is the story about Chloe Cooper and Nikolai Drugov. Chloe has just moved to Tampa to start her life again after losing her husband. Nikolai is a single dad, who is trying to get a fair arrangement with his custody battle with his ex-wife. While Chloe is just wanting to have a little fun, Niko is all family and career with no time for a woman. Only thing is they share a conversation and a never going to forget kiss one night. Then all bets are off, cause neither one can get each other out of their heads. Chloe comes to realize that no one can be Niko. Niko can only think of Chloe and how she has come to change everything in his life. Getting a second chance at love was not what they were looking for but, found along the way.

I really loved this book! It has steam, love, actual problems, and of course sports. Two adults facing life’s issues. Niko, is living life as a single dad, in a custody battle, and is a hockey player. Chloe doesn’t want a relationship and is the coaches daughter. Chloe agrees to be Niko’s nanny for his daughter. Sparks fly all over the place while she is living with them. This also the second book of the series.

I also absolutely love the single dad, grumpy/sunshine tropes. Chloe and Niko meet in a bar and sparks fly but they find out soon after that Chloe is Nikos coaches daughter and is “off limits”. My only regret is not realizing this was the third book in a series when I started it! (Although, truth be told, I can’t find anything that made me think I needed to have read the first two books prior; I’m assuming there are some character cameos that happen, but plot lines weren’t unclear)

I love me a good rom-com story, and while hockey isn’t MY favorite sport (it is my bestie’s), you can’t go wrong with a good hockey rom-com! My favorites are the ones that bleed over into real life, when you feel like the characters could be real people, people you’ve met or are already friends with. While I can’t say I know what it’s like to be a wealthy athlete!, I can say I’ve met people with challenging divorce and child custody situations, and people trying to start over, professionally and romantically “later in life” (which sounds ridiculous, because 40 year olds aren’t old!)
I loved the reality of peri-menopause that was dribbled in the story as well. Not there yet, but gosh, it’s on the horizon, and the way the authors presented these life changes was so tastefully done, you can’t help but love everything about the story!

Night Sweats and Hockey Nets is the third book in the Hot Flash Hookups Series. This is a Romantic Comedy that had me turning the pages till the end. I’ve read the other books in this series and this may be my favorite yet. The characters are fully developed, relatable and fun plus they make you feel like your apart of the story. He had no clue the the lady he kissed in the that bar was his coaches daughter but he knows now. He’s in the middle of a custody battle and almost ready to to give up his skates. She’s not afraid to flirt especially with the players . But when he needs a nanny prove he has the means to care for his daughter she steps up. Can they both get what they deserve I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read more from these authors.

Night Sweats and Hockey Nets is the third book in a series by Marika Ray and Sylvie Stewart (Hot Flash Hookups). This series is so fun, and I absolutely loved this story between Chloe, and Nico! The absolute best part of this whole series is that it is not the typical female character and I found myself laughing the entire way through. In this one, Chloe ends up moving in to be a nanny for Nico’s daughter, and he is in the middle of a huge custody dispute. The chemistry is undeniable between Niko and Chloe. Such a fun, cute and spicy story! Probably one of the best I’ve read in a long time. I can’t wait to read the next one…

I am new to these authors, but they drew me in; I wanted to keep reading to discover what was next. The authors did a great job with character development. I enjoyed learning about Chloe. I also appreciated that one of the characters shared my daughter’s name, but it was just spelled differently. They do a great job with the build-up between Chloe and Nikolai. It was refreshing that the authors incorporated real-life issues that can happen in detail; I will be reading more from them! I don’t want to give too much away because this is a must-read, so if you’re into romance and tension between characters and are ok reading about real-life situations such as divorce and the death of a spouse, this is the read for you.

Stewart and Ray have done it again! Every time I read the next book in the Hot Flash Hookups series, I swear it’s my favorite! Chloe and Niko’s story is absolutely heartwarming, funny, and cozy. But don’t let that fool you…the spice is *chef’s kiss*! I love Stewart and Ray’s writing style (it always amazes me when two authors co-write) and their character and plot development are out of this world! I couldn’t put this book down and I stayed up way too late (many a night) reading. If you are looking for a hockey romance with forbidden romance, single dad meets curvy, independent girl, grumpy/sunshine tropes with the perfect HEA (and a whole lotta spice) then this is the book for you! Hockey Player Niko is focused on his career and his young daughter. The biggest issue in his life right now is his ex who keeps playing games with their custody arrangement. When he meets Chloe at a bar, he tries to ignore her but her unusual banter has them embracing in an unforgettable kiss. Little does he know she is the coaches daughter. Trying to focus on his daughter, he doesn’t want to explore anything with Chloe but when she agrees to be his nanny it becomes even more difficult to stay away from her? Could it be fate throwing them together or will they ignore the signs?

This was so much fun. The first chapter draws you in right away, such a great series that keeps getting better. I felt for Niko, he is trying to do right by his daughter. Chloe is amazing, loved her character.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Niko is struggling in his life, nearing his Hockey career and with his custody battle for his daughter life is getting difficult, so when he is chosen for the All Stars game he lets loose one night and meets a woman of his dreams.

Chole feels like she is in limbo at the moment, middle age has crept up on her, so when she is invited to go to the All Stars competition she jumps at the chance and decides to let caution to the wind. That’s when she meets him and the kiss they shared is on her mind all the time but when she decides to move to live near her dad and then it gets interesting, she sees the man she can’t stop thinking about but he is one of her dad’s players.

Niko finds out that the woman he has been dreaming about from Toronto is here in Tampa and is his coaches daughter which is a big NO, but as they get on and he gets more entangled with his custody battle the only solution is that Chole becomes his daughter’s Nanny but living together sparks start flying and can they keep there hands off each other.

This is the third book in this series and is just as good as the others. I love the style of writing and the stories are always fun and draws you in from the beginning. The characters are brilliantly developed and I loved these two as they complimented each other brilliantly and with the challenges between themselves and other character is brilliant to read.

The story flows through and is a heart warming romance with some twists but overall you will be rushing to turn the pages to finish the book in hours.

Thank you for these characters as a middle aged woman in the hot flash phase they are a joy to read.

There is so much to say about this book… just wow! Normally the books I read are young adults or age gap…this one is with actual adults (40+) and my first one with this age for both MCs….but boy…. It did not lack!

Niko- Hot single dad. He is a goalie for a hockey team. Now…. while it made me mad when he pushed Chloe away… holy cow he stole my heart. He has officially entered my never-ending list of book boyfriends. The way he treats Chloe… looks at her… every woman needs a Niko!

Chloe- pre-menopause badass! After losing her husband she decides to get a fresh start and move where no one knows her or what happened to her husband.

This is a second chance at love, spicy book that will have you wanting to read in one sitting. The struggles they both go through, the growth, all of it was just perfection. Let’s not forget about Nikos adorable little stinker sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong and playing matchmaker in the cutest of ways!

I love this series! It’s a quirky sports romance. These authors hooked me with book 1, but I feel like Night Sweats & Hockey Nets is my favorite. Which is also book 3. It may be a series but you don’t have to read them in succession, they work extremely well as standalone novels. The authors bring us another story where another one of the Storm Chasers falls for an older woman.
It’s All Star weekend which finds Chloe and Niko in Toronto for different reasons. He’s taking part and she’s spectating, but when they meet at a bar they can’t resist one another. Chloe is out trying to find herself. She had a long and trying past few years and it’s time to move on. Which puts her right into Niko’s path. However Niko’s path is a dangerous one, dangerous for one’s heart. However Niko wants this stranger and after they share a kiss they are both done for. But they’ve agreed to only remain anonymous. Unfortunately it’s easier said than done, because she’s not a stranger at all. She is the coach’s daughter. Which makes her off limits. Not that stops them from flirting and such. Especially since she’s now closer than ever because she’s helping him try to win his custody battle for his daughter.
Will they give in to temptation?
When will they realize their feelings are true it’s not??
Easier said than done.
If you enjoy either of the authors and/or are looking for a fun quirky romance novel this book is for you. So what are you waiting for? It’s time to jump right in.

Night Sweats and Hockey Nets is the third book in the Hot Flash Hookups series. It can be enjoyed as a standalone. Chloe has been having a relaunch of her life since the death of her husband, and she wants to enjoy everything. Nico is a single dad who plays professional hockey with a bit of a grumpy side. Will the two find common ground?
The story is told from their POVs, alternating each chapter. I enjoyed reading both of their versions of the story because, as often happens in a romance, there are miscommunications and other issues. Chloe is relatable with her hot flashes and outlook on life. Nico made me laugh with his grumpiness and unwillingness to see the potential in a relationship with Chloe. I enjoyed the story and the hockey storyline. I will now read the books I missed in this series.
I look forward to more from this series and to meeting more characters. It is rare to have a romance with a 40-something woman dealing with the lovely changes all women go through at this period in life.

Night Sweats and Hockey Nets beautifully and effortlessly blends romance, spice, comedy, hockey, and grieving/moving on. The characters are everything I needed them to be. Chloe was sarcastic and so relatable. Nikolai was absolute perfection! I loved the later in life, re-start after loss, romance. Nikolai was proof that all we (women) want is someone to do the little things for us. When he installed the ceiling fan, my heart melted!

Night Sweats and Hockey Nets is my favorite book in the Hot Flash Hookup series so far!

Nikolai is certainly not looking for love when he shares a kiss with a sexy woman in a bar. Chloe isn’t looking for love either, but neither can get that kiss out of their minds. Who knows what might have happened if Nikolai wasn’t interrupted by a phone call from his lawyer? They go their separate ways until they meet again, and Nikolai realizes exactly who Chloe is…his coach’s daughter. That means she is entirely off-limits. However, fate and a sweet, sassy little girl who plays matchmaker might have other plans.

I enjoyed the plot of the book. It was much different than other books about hockey players. Nikolai is well past his partying days, and he is facing retirement. In addition, he is fighting his ex-wife for more time to spend with his young daughter. Chloe has suffered a significant loss and is completely upending her life, moving back to be closer to her father and a career change. Their challenges make them relatable, and the obstacles to a relationship are realistic. Ultimately, I was so happy to see they got their happily ever after.

I love that the books in this series have incredible middle-aged women who are the heroines. They prove that love knows no age, and anyone can find their happily ever after no matter how old they are. As with all the other books, I’m looking forward to the next in the series.
