Yet another great book in the Notebook Mystery series! Emma is such a wonderful character that I have enjoyed in each book so far. In this story, they get invited to a party by a couple that they don’t normally see. Naturally, Emma is suspicious. Is there something going on, or is this just a party? Very quick read that keeps you turning the page.

I’ve been seeing these Notebook Mysteries stories for the past year and have read such great reviews that I’ve finally decided to give them a try. I’m such a big fan of mysteries so I had a feeling I’d really like them. This is my first Notebook Mysteries read! It was a great feeling to jump into this story of the series without feeling left out from previous story details. With Christmas festivities in their midst and an unsuspected party in Chicago close to a family wedding, Emma becomes suspicious as to why this party is happening. Her suspicions take her on a quest of answers as to the sudden occurrence of the party when it typically happens elsewhere. She trusts her gut feeling that leaves her to some answers! It was such a great read and I’m looking forward to reading others in the series.

Another great adventure with Emma, Jeremy, and their family and friends. I just love this series and seeing how Emma & Jeremy’s relationship grows, and all the other characters, as well. Highly recommend the book, and the whole series.

This little novella from one of my favourite series just put me in the right mood and now I’m so ready for Christmas season to arrive. It’s October, surely the festive season has already started?! Plus spooky season means it’s perfect timing for a little suspense and mystery and intrigue, which the author delivers in spades, per usual. It’s so nice to fall back into what has become a comfort series for me every few months, thanks to the historical aspect and the generally cosy vibes. Can be read standalone, but the whole series is not to be missed!

An invitation to a party arrives. Emma is suspicious because of who is throwing the party and who has been invited to attend. Emma may be overreacting or she may have cause for concern. I enjoyed this short addition to this wonderful series!!!

I absolutely love this series!!! Can be read as standalone but I highly encourage you to read them all because they’re all so greatly written. Author has a great way of making you fall in love with the characters and draws you into every story. The twists and turns is what I love. I love not knowing what’s going to happen next!!! Which has me constantly on edge and needing answers so it’s a huge page turner for me. And it’s written during Christmas time!!! Getting me in the holiday spirit! I can’t wait for the next one!

I will forever be a fan of this series. This book was a quick read and again did not disappoint if you’ve read the others prior to this one.
Emma, Jeremy and the rest of the family are in the Wedding and Christmas spirit. When they receive an invite to a party that makes them question the hosts intentions.
When the Charity, the one Emma and Jeremy have helped set up, notify them of Henrietta’s disappearance. This leads Emma and Jeremy to become parents, overnight to this sweet girl.
The party, the Wedding, the reason Henrietta changed jobs…. Will Emma and Jeremy be able to race against the clock to be able to see Ethan and Savannah say I Do?
It’s so easy to fall in love with these characters and though you can read these as stand alone books, I would suggest reading in order as the characters move from story to story, and some stories carry over. You won’t be disappointed.

I love the Christmas holiday. I also love novellas. I’m a huge fan of the Notebook Series so I immediately jumped to read this new addition to the series, A party to remember.
This book finds Emma being her normal suspicious self. while her and her family were decorating their home, helping friends, Savannah and Ethan plan their wedding, they also receive a mysterious invitation for a party out of the blue. This fancy party was to occur in Chicago vs new York, which had everyone question why. who doesn’t love a good party? although they questioned the intent behind the impromptu invite, Emma and her friends were excited for the opportunity to travel to Chicago, see their friends, dress up and have a great time.
Emma does what she does best and that is to do the work and solve the mystery. i enjoyed this short novella and the Christmas atmosphere brought to life within this book. while you can easily read this book without following the previous titles in this series, to fully appreciate the character arcs I recommend reading the entire series.

Having read and enjoyed the books in this series I was looking forward to this Christmas novella, and to being back with super sleuth Emma, and I was not disappointed. It’s Christmas, and everyone is in a festive mood despite being busy not only getting ready for Christmas but also planning a Christmas Eve wedding. However, Emma is suspicious when an invitation arrives invitingly them all to a party as she doesn’t understand why it’s in Chicago and not New York City. She doesn’t know if she’s just overreacting, but her gut feelings usually turn out to be right! This is a fairly short read, but I enjoyed being back solving mysteries with Emma and Jeremy. As usual the descriptive narrative brought both the characters and the setting vividly to life, making me feel immersed in the storyline. The plot had me hooked throughout, and I thought this was a great addition to the series and it put me in a festive mood!

Another great tale from one of my favorite authors! I seriously never want this series to end. In this Christmas tale, Emma is thrust into another thrilling mystery that is full of intrigue (not to mention festive)! As per usual, the storytelling is superb and descriptions and characters are vibrant and spot-on. Each time I pick up a new installment of the Notebook Mysteries is like revisiting an old friend, and I dread the time that there are no more mysteries to solve with Emma. This book can be read as a standalone, but I of course highly recommend getting your hands on each part of the series for full enjoyment. With the holiday season fast-approaching this cozy read will put you right in the spirit!

Most of the Notebook Mystery series can be read as a stand alone, but I think A Party to Remember needs to be read as part of the story. There is a lot going on, per usual, but this book was short and without much background information. There are a lot of characters carried over from the other books. This was a short read, but was good and jam packed with adventure. It is Christmas time, and a lot is happening in Emma and Jeremy’s lives- Mysterious dinner parties, weddings, adoptions, attempted murder… If you have read the other books in the series, you will love this one too. I am curious to see where it goes from here, after the addition of Henrietta. If you have not read other books in the series, but like historical mysteries, give it a try. There may be a few details you don’t quite catch on to, but its still a good story.

Notebook Mysteries ~ A Party to Remember (Notebook Mysteries Series) by Kimberly Mullins. This is a Christmas Novella that is the continuing adventures of Emma and her friends. Emma and her family get a invitation to a party put on by Gregory & Geoff in Chicago. Ethan who is getting ready to marry Savannah are also attending the party. Emma and her friends are a little suspicious of this invitation but are excited anyway. They are excited because they get to wear their fabulous finds from Paris and hang out with their friends in Chicago. What’s weird is the people that are invited to the party. Its a weird mix of people so that has Emma and the gang on high alert. I loved this short read and it really puts you in the holiday mood. Do yourself a favor and read it now!

Notebook Mysteries – A Party to Remember By: Kimberly Mullins
I have really grown to love the Notebook Mysteries. This Christmas Novella delivers in what I have come to love from these books. It features Emma and her friends and a mystery that just so happens to fall in their lap. In this case, they are all invited to a party – in Chicago of all places. This immediately makes Emma believe that something is off. However, they all decide to attend the party anyways and this is where the real fun ensues. As always, it features the historical nuances that I have come to love and everything is accurate to the time period (as far as I can tell). I love learning more about this time and I love watching Emma attempt to solve these mysteries. She really is a well developed character and really just a character I truly love. Each of these novels and novellas can read as a standalone, but I strongly recommend reading the entire series and Kimberly Mullins has really created a whole world that surrounds Emma and to get the full enchanting effect as well as to see Emma’s full evolution as a character I recommend reading them all. I definitely recommending picking this one up, it was the perfect thing to begin to get me in the fall and in the holiday spirit!

Emma’s intuition is tingling again as an invitation to a party feels like a trap. As she navigates a new responsibility will it work as a distraction as the trap is sprung? Notebook Mysteries ~ A Party To Remember is a Notebook Mysteries series novella by Kimberly Mullins. Another fun holiday historical cozy mystery, set against a Christmas backdrop- it has plenty of intriguing developments, danger, drama, friendship, investigation, suspense, humour, and more. This could be read as a standalone if you wanted, without feeling like you are missing anything by not having read the rest of the series… But having said that, I highly recommend reading the previous books too, as knowing what happened in those books will definitely give you a better appreciation of the characters and this ‘adventure’. With Christmas fast approaching, and a Christmas Eve family wedding to prepare for, Emma is caught by surprise when an unexpected invitation arrives. It immediately triggers her suspicions- and she can’t help but do a little ‘investigating’. And as we all know from previous books, Emma seems to attract mysteries and her inquisitive nature gets her into all sorts of unusual situations. But is that the case here? Is there something sinister behind the invitation? Or is Emma reading more into it all than necessary? This story really is worth the read to find out. A wonderful addition to the series. Happy Reading!

But nothing is as it seems and there are twists and turns to keep you on your toes. Notebook Mysteries: A Party to Remember is a novella in the Notebook Mysteries series. The story is best enjoyed after reading at least some of the other books in the series. The story is a fast read kicking off the Christmas holidays for me. Emma is intrigued when she receives a party invite to take place in Chicago instead of New York. Why Chicago, and who is on the guest list? After reading the rest of the series, I was excited to see a new adventure for Emma and her friends. Her instincts are acting on overdrive after the party invite arrives. There is also a Christmas wedding in the works. Everyone is busy because of the wedding and the holidays. I like that so many of the recurring characters make an appearance in this book. The story is fun, festive, and left me looking forward to more stories about Emma and company. If you enjoy intrigue, historical fiction, and great characters, give this series a try. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

This short novella is part of the Notebook Mysteries series and makes for a quick and easy read. This can be read as a standalone, but to truly appreciate the background and characters I recommend reading the rest of the series. Emma and Jeremy are once again set on solving a mystery, this time at Christmas after being invited to a party. Emma begins investigating almost immediately, sensing something is off which is just one of many reasons I love her. As per usual when reading this series, the author’s easy flowing writing style heightened my enjoyment by painting vivid imagery of both characters and scenery. As always I eagerly await more from the series!

My second Notebook mystery, I chose this for the cover- not only does it show a stunning Victoria era dress, it is very festive. Normally I don’t read a ton of Christmas novellas, but this one was intriguing, especially because it centered around Emma, a character I very much enjoyed in A Parisian Intrigue.
The entire story line revolves around the 5 W’s of the party- the who was pretty easily figured out, but the rest took until the end of the novella to uncover. I enjoyed how this was kept down to a novella- I think the idea, while great in the less than 150 pages, would have suffered in a longer text.
I enjoyed finding out more about Hen, and can’t wait to figure out if her story line continues. Like A Parisian Intrigue, the pacing and world building of this novella made it a one night, but rememberable read. The only thing I wish was stronger was the conclusion, which I thought was rushed.

I love this series and this little novella didn’t disappoint!
It’s Christmas time…a time of cheer, happiness, and overall well wishes for everyone. Parties are in full swing and Emma and Jeremy receive an invitation to a local party. Others in their company do as well. However, the invitation is not sitting right with Emma. Something just seems off about it.
As life goes on, there are some insiders scoping out the party location. Certain aspects of the location change over a few days and Emma receives word of it. She’s prepared for the party and whatever will happen therein.
These stories are just great little cozy mysteries with historical aspects thrown in. Some of the books in the series are full-length, while others are more novella style such as this one. There is always at least one adventure taking place, and usually more are starting in the background. Emma is a strong character to endure all the things that are thrown at her, often times last minute.

This is yet another great book to add to a series of great books. It was lovely to reconnect with the characters that we have become so familiar with over time. As usual, it took no time at all to become invested in their story and what was going on. It always feels like you have never been away from these characters each time you pick up a new book. The story was well written and enjoyable from start to finish. It is rare a series has the longevity like this one and yet the author shows no signs of slowing down. Each book is as good as the others and this one is no exception. This is a great read that I thoroughly enjoyed.

A Party to Remember is part of the Notebook Mysteries series. It is a historical crime novella that takes place in 1889 in Chicago and centers around the characters of Emma and her friends. Emma has a nose for solving mysteries and seems to find them everywhere she goes. When Emma and Jeremy are invited to attend a Christmas party, she cannot shake the feeling that something seems to be off about the party. As the day of the party draws nearer her suspicions increase especially when she learns of the list of guests that have been invited to the same party. The guest list seems odd and those invited do not seem to be those that Gregory and Geoff, the party hosts, would normally socialize with so why have they been invited? Emma begins to conduct a small investigation with the help of her friends, Jake and Ethyl, who go undercover as hired help for the party. As they report back to Emma about the going-ons at Gregory and Geoff’s home, her suspicions only increase, and she knows that something is wrong. Who will win the deadly game of cat-and-mouse that Gregory and Geoff have planned?
Another brilliantly written novella by this talented author. I love how she uses historical events that occurred between 1880-1890 in Chicago as inspiration for her stories. The storyline was intriguing, and the characters are engaging. I have grown to love this close-knit group of friends that have become family to one another. Emma is a smart, feisty, stubborn, young lady with a knack for solving mysteries. She can sense something is wrong and pick up subtle clues that many might otherwise overlook. Christmas is a busy enough time of year but for Emma this year she certainly has her hands full. An invitation to a Christmas party that has her suspicions raised. Helping her friends Savannah and Ethan plan their wedding. Added to that, Emma and Jeremy have just become guardians to young Henrietta who I found was a wonderful addition to the story. I look forward to reading future stories with Henrietta to see if she becomes involved in helping Emma solve mysteries. Such a brilliant-minded young lady will surely aid in solving future mysteries that Emma stumbles onto. I highly recommend this book.

This is a festive novella that is part of The Notebook Mystries series. It can be read as a standalone however I do recommend reading the series so you get a complete idea of the characters and how they are connected. This is a great historical mystery which yet again sees Emma and Jeremy trying to solve a crime and stop the bad guys. There is a lot happening in this story. From the marriage of Savannah and Ethan and Emma and Jeremy becoming guardians to little Henrietta everyone is distracted. When they all get invited to a party the day before Savannah and Ethans wedding everyone decides to go. However Emma can’t help but feel like something is off with this party. That it isn’t the fun evening they want and that something sinister is about to happy. Is Emma’s instincts and gut feeling right? Or is she just being paranoid and looking for danger where none exists. I have grown to love Emma’s characters through all of these books and I love that fact that it’s a historical story however Emma is respected and listened to when she speaks about her gut feelings. She is a strong and determined character who is like a dog with a bone when it comes to getting to the bottom of a mystery.
