Lance Charnes characters are complex and fully developed which make the characters are believable and can be part of our world. There is a mystery around the smuggled antiques is what the DeWitt Agency is hired to sort out. Will the DeWitt Agency get to the bottom of the mystery or will they be out of their league? What is going to happen when the truth is revealed?

Naomi Valkyrie has hit a home run with The Rise of House Valdis (House Valdis book 1). This story has a little bit of mystery, fantasy, sci-fi, actions and danger. Once I started reading, I knew I was going to have to complete the book. Valkyrie ties her characters and the plot line very well. The characters are multidimensional and the plot keeps you on your toes. Story is about Xen and her ability to have a second chance on earth. Xen best friend is Maggie, who is the only one who knows what Xen really is. Xen had to make a decision which can cause a problem. There are things that she cannot have exposed otherwise it may cause more danger than good. Will Xen be able to trust others about her true nature or Will Xen have some tough road ahead. I cannot wait to see what happens in the book.

I have read a few books from this author and she continues to blow my mind. This is the third book in the Spicetopia series. You can read this as a stand alone but there are previous characters in this story as well. I was so excited when I got this book I stopped everything and started to read it immediately. I fell in love with these characters right from the beginning. It only took me a few hours to devour this incredible book.
Neve and Enya don’t get a long at all. She calls him the iceman because he is so cold. After some scary things start to happen at Spicetopia they are pushed together to find out who is trying to sabotage the park. Enya starts to realize that Neve is not so cold after all. When they get to know eachother that’s why the sparks fly. Will they be able to catch this crazy man or woman before someone close to them gets hurt?

Rowan Shaw has done it again with another incredible read to this series. In Revive we follow Patrick & Brandon story. They have a chemistry that is strong and unique that I loved watching develop. You get taken on a rollercoaster ride with this read, we face ups and downs and a storyline that its captivating, real and relatable. Once again Rowan Shaw has created characters that are real, well developed and really stand-out, and leave you stopping and really thinking.
This author definitely has a way with words as I keep becoming more and more invested in her reads, each one becomes better than the one before and keeps me turning the pages. I cant wait to see what else this author can bring to this series, but ill be eagerly awaiting. I highly recommend this read and the others in the series!

The story Misplaced (Joined Book Two) by Mara Gan is a fantasy/romance book. It is the second story in a series, and I enjoyed it just as much as the first one. It pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I enjoyed reading about the character of Meda. She is a young girl who is strong, kind, helpful to others, and stubborn. She is someone who cares about others and does all that she can to help those who need it. Meda has found herself on a beach with no memory of her past, only her name. She has the extraordinary talent of being able to heal others. Who is Meda? Will she remember her past? What does the future hold for her? Read this book to find out. This story has action, danger, mystery, and romance. There are also many other characters that interact with Meda. Some of them are helpful to her, others have their own agenda and will do anything to make their plans succeed, and then there are those who I wondered about their true motives. I enjoyed the friendship that Meda has with some of the characters. I loved that Meda is a young girl who doesn’t think of herself, she puts others first. Don’t miss out on this exciting book. I would suggest reading this series in order. Highly recommended.

As with all books by Phoebe Alexander, this one is now my current favorite of this series. I am loving this series! Its so different and doesn’t just revolve around the steamy scenes, there’s real stories going on and these keep you glued to the pages. Neve and Enya are partnered together to figure out what is happening and who is causing the issues with Spicetopia. You don’t HAVE to read these in order but I recommend doing so as to not miss anything in the order they happen.
I have so many thoughts flying through my head I can’t seem to get them to translate to my fingers to type them to where they would make any sense, but take my word for it, READ THIS BOOK!

What a great 3rd book to this series. Spicetopia is finally coming to life and things are getting more and more exciting.
In this story we meet Neve and Enya. This couple are complete night and day to each other, but I think the best relationships can come from such differences. The drama and suspense that accompany these 2 characters is, exciting, sometimes unexpected and takes you on a crazy ride. I was nervous at some point wondering if Neve would ever be able to open his heart to Enya, and on top of their budding relationship someone tries to sabotage the park which in turn puts forces both of them together to figure out this mess.
Enya is a delightful character, funny and strong, especially when faced with real danger, so her personality I feel matched very nicely with Neve, who was cold and unfriendly. I am very pleased with where this series is heading so far. These books can be read as stand alones but I would highly recommend the full series, you will not regret it.
Revive (Rewind Book 3) by Rowan Shaw My rating 5 out of 5 stars
To say I’m obsessed and completely in love with Rowan Shaw books is an understatement. Both of the first 2 books in the Rewind series as well as this one have completely blown me away. I love the characters, the story line, the drama, everything. I really appreciate getting to see characters from the previous books appear in this book, it is nice to remember their stories while reading about Brandon and Patrick
Oh Brandon and Patrick, great couple. The way they both meet at a club and then the next day find out they are client and therapist is so dramatic, and I love it! I was wondering how it would work out between them due to this relationship but I was in for a nice little journey. Patrick having a phobia against bi people is actually pretty easy to understand when we find out what he went through in his life to warrant this disdain. Brandon seems like such a sweetheart and then when we get to see what his past was like, it’s easy to understand him as well. Both men you can tell are in love with each other but take their time explaining things and putting their love out in the open for each other. I was very nervous about how this was going to end with the little twist at the end but I had a feeling it was going to end well and I was not disappointed.
Rowan Shaw is an amazing MM writer and I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the books in this series so far. I highly recommend these books and they can be read as stand alones but, I would recommend the full series because the characters overlap and its nice to have that background. Well done another fantastic book, I can’t wait to see what is in store next.
The Rise of House Valdis is the first intriguing story in the House Valdis series, and debut novel by Naomi Valkyrie. This is a very original fantasy, with sci-fi elements, action, danger, ‘powers’, responsibility, discovery, and more. I fell in love with the cover, before I even knew anything about the book. I wanted to read it as soon as I laid eyes on that gorgeous cover. I was so curious to find out what it was all about and couldn’t wait to dive in. As I said, the story is quite original, with quirky characters who were really well developed and interesting. I definitely wanted to follow Xenobia and the rest of the cast to see how everything would play out in the end. The danger and suspense that was woven into the story added a great level of tension and drama. There was also an emotive quality to parts of the story, which also added to the overall ‘feel’ of the book. The story is told from multiple, alternating points of view, which gives the reader a broad perspective of everything that’s going on. Naomi Valkyrie style is descriptive and detailed, painting each scene in vivid detail. But I did find that at times the story lagged a bit as we get a little ‘lost’ in the descriptive details. Then at other times I felt there were aspects which weren’t detailed enough- where I had to draw a few of my own conclusions, or where I felt I may have ‘missed’ something (but hadn’t). I did re-read some parts because of this and still was left wondering. This didn’t distract from my overall enjoyment of the book- and I feel it was just a case of Ms. Valkyrie ‘finding her feet’ as a new author. I have debated over what to rate this book , trying to decide between 3 and 4 Stars, but finally settling on 4 for originality. She also deserves credit for a job well done, producing an enjoyable story for her debut. The ending definitely leaves an opening for another book, or books. After the way this ended, I am intrigued to see where the story might lead us!

The Hazed Series Box Set contains Books 1-3 in the Hazed series Brittany Tarkington. This is a college romance- of opposites attract, good girl falls for bad boy- with secrets, lies, obsession, and addiction all playing a part in this dramatic story. We meet Taylor Thompson who thought college would bring her the freedom she desperately wanted, getting her away from her incredibly strict father and the small town she called home. Getting a job as a waitress, introduces her to Hayze Clark, the sexy, tattooed, bad-boy bartender- who turns her world upside down. I won’t go into too much detail, as I don’t want to spoil it for you. But what follows was hard to read at times- in a nutshell it’s a little dark, intense, and confronting. The characters are really well developed, but I just couldn’t connect with them like I wanted to, and I really can’t pinpoint why that was. The story (books) did hold my attention though, and I definitely don’t regret reading them.

Another trip into the Spicetopia world and yet again I was not disappointed. The author really brings the characters and the story world to life. I found that I as glued to the pages as I couldn’t wait to find out how the book was going to unfold. There is just the right bit of intrigue and drama to balance out the romance.
I really like how Neve and Enya’s story unfolded. There really wasn’t any predictable bit to this book and that is what really makes it great. I like how the author builds up the world around the characters. I really look forward to reading more from this series and author as I cannot wait to see how the actual adult theme park turns out. Knight Watch is the first novel in the Alliance Agency series by 2 of my favourite authors India Kells and Maddie Wade. It follows on from the prequel Deadly Alliance where Emme from Maddie Wade’s Fortis Security joined forces with Shane from India Kells Purgatory team to create the Alliance Agency. In this book they are given their first job, finding Sydney Rutherford, the niece of a prominent businessman, who has been kidnapped. Brit Kingsley Knight is put in charge of the mission and it soon becomes clear that there is so much more to this story than they originally thought. This story gripped me straight from the first page and didn’t let me go, as I would expect from these 2 authors. On their own they both devise amazing characters and storylines, however together, this is taken to a whole new level. The storyline is fast paced, flows very well and has many twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. It is full of danger, suspense and intrigue and you won’t want to put it down. One thing I particularly loved is the growing camaraderie and bond between the members of the team. There is such a wide difference among the characters and yet they work so well as a team. I’m really looking forward to getting to know the other members of the team on a closer level.

This is the second book in this series and my favorite yet. This is a creative, well written story that pulled me in right from the beginning. The characters made the story feel realistic and they kept me turning pages. This is a story about waking up on a beach and not know who you are but have the ability to heal people just by touching them. Problem is that you don’t know where it came from. I enjoyed watching the characters grow throughout. I highly recommend this book.

This is the third book in the Spicetopia series. I think this one was better than the second book. When I realized the story would revolve around Neve Romano, I wasn’t sure that I would enjoy it. I didn’t particularly like him in the other books. Learning about his back story allowed me to understand him better and explains why he is the way he is. The growth of his character is remarkable and by the end of the book, I really liked him.
Someone is trying to sabotage Spicetopia‘s grand opening therefore the story is filled with surprises and a twist that I didn’t see coming. With action and quite a few heated scenes, this book will keep you interested from beginning to end.

This is the 3rd book in the Spicetopia series. This story follows Enya who is head of PR for the Spicetopia enterprise and Neve who is head of security.
With Spicetopia all ready to open to the public Enya needs to promote the opening. When Cy get called away it leaves her and Neve to complete the promotional tour.
They don’t get on. Neve is so cold and shut off and Enya talks to much a drives Neve mad.
However, a night in Spicetopia showed them a side of each other that they didnt know existed.
Can seeing this other side to each other help them grow closer? Can they work together to save the opening of Spicetopia from being ruined by forces inside and outside of the park.
This is an amazing story filled with romance and danger.
I loved this story! This was one of this feel good romances that just makes your heart smile. It was a happy holiday romance that had two people hoping for their second chance at romance. These two author worked so well together and the story they created was strong and well written. I loved the main characters Penelope and Artemis. I found myself rooting for their HEA and excited to see where their story would go. I am looking forward to reading more stories by both of these authors and I would recommend this to a friend! Happy reading!
I was unprepared for the level of detail, world building, and character development I found in these pages. Charalambides does a fantastic job not falling into the latest trend of catering to the YA crowd with another vampire tale. This was mature, engaging, and riveting. From beginning to end, I simply was hooked. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Love & Omens (Crescent City Ghost Tours Book 2) by Carrie Pulkinen. It just keeps getting better! I will say these books can be read as a stand-alone without any confusion but I do highly recommend the first story also and the characters are entwined also. So first and foremost let me just start by saying I was so completely drawn into Blake and Sydney’s story. I got so wrapped up I lost track of time and before I knew I’d been up ready late into the night because I couldn’t put it down. I love a story I can sink into and this author does just that with the story world she created. The characters are complex and relatable, each bringing something unique to the story. I love the mix of suspense, romance and paranormal and this author found just the right amount of each. It kept me on my toes and I loved every minute of it. I love the attention to even the smallest details making the story jump off the pages and come alive before your eyes. I’m excited to see where the author takes readers next. Five stars all the way and I highly recommend not only this series but this author!

Brandon is told to go to a club one night and that’s when he meets the gorgeous Patrick. Patrick is very busy also with his job and also his one night stands. Brandon is very intrigued by the beautiful man. He loses his mind and has a unforgettable night. Brandon’s ex tells him to see a very well know therapist and he is compete shock when he sees Patrick at the desk. He has never felt this way about anyone before but his past is coming back to haunt him. Will Brandon be able to let his guard down or will he build up more walls?
Fire & Ice by Phoebe Alexander is a steamy continuation of the Spicetopia series. I would give this book a five out of five stars. Definitely can be read as a standalone but some of the background characters make more sense if you have read the other books. I enjoyed the continuation of the idea but the new plot. I loved Enya and Neve’s characters. Enya is a spitfire with damage control on her mind and Neve is 100% dedicated to security. True opposites attract vibes. I kept turning the pages to find out what would happen next, and what would be said next. I loved the sense of humor.
Chasing Clay was a good 4 star read and book three in The DeWitt Agency Files series. The book started off a little slow but once I got a little further in it took off and I couldn’t put it down.
Matt is an ex-con that has a year left on his probation. He’s tired of his probation officer breathing down his neck checking up on him all of the time. When he is given an opportunity to get off probation sooner he takes the job only problem is, he as 60 days to do it.
The job pertains to art theft of ceramics. Very expensive and historical ones. Is Matt in over his head? Can he solve the mystery and get off probation?
There were twists and turns with mystery and suspense. All of the secondary characters were great. Overall, I enjoyed this book, the author pulls you in with his writing. Fire & Ice by Phoebe Alexander is the third book in the Spicetopia series. Right off this is not for teens due to sexual content! Otherwise, this is a fun series set at an adult theme park. These do not need to be read in order but I have enjoyed the series in the order of the books. Neve Romano, Director of Security, and Enya Moore, Director of Public Relations are called to work together to save the park from sabotage. The only problem is she is fire and he is ice. When they start working together there is some steam started between them. I enjoy Phoebe Alexander’s books and this is another to the growing list I have enjoyed. If you like a good read with a bit of suspense, some spicy parts this is the book for you.
Revive by Rowan Shaw is the third book in the Rewind series. This can be read as a standalone and fully enjoyed, but the other books are good also. Brandon is a recently divorced father who is grappling with his sexuality. Patrick is single and does not think he is relationship material. What happens when the two hook up one evening? This is a good story dealing not only with a fledgling relationship. I also liked Brandon is dealing with his bisexuality and the prejudice he comes across. This is dealing with realistic topics and handles it well. I will be keeping an eye out for more books from Rowan Shaw in the future.

If you love the Christmas season and romance this is the anthology for you. These stories will have your emotions going up and down the entire time, you are reading them. Mine sure did. There are sad moments and also heartwarming moments in these books. I love anthologies as they give me a chance to be introduced to new authors. This group of stories has a few authors I have read before and others it was my first time reading their work. All of these stories have a romantic feel to them, and I couldn’t help but care for the characters and I found myself wishing that they find happiness. I have to say that I really enjoyed Two Hearts’ Christmas Gift by Tamara Ferguson. Her stories always have me hooked from beginning to end. I also love that the characters that she writes about are wounded warriors and that attention is brought to then. Don’t miss out on a set of stories that will keep you glued to the pages or your Kindle. I highly recommend this anthology.

The first two books are wonderful and there are recurring characters that appear in this book. This is Patrick and Brandon’s story. I love how the author makes the characters come to life. I was rooting for them the whole way. This is my favorite book of the series so far, but I can’t wait to read the next book. If you are a fan of MM romance, I highly recommend this series.
My curiosities about Patrick are finally answered. Revive is an emotional one night stand turned doctor/patient romance with dealing with bisexuality. We all know the people who say they don’t do relationships are the ones who fall the hardest. Patrick and Brandon have smokin’ chemistry but at times the back and forth got a little too much. It was good to see characters from the previous books and meeting some new ones too.
I love how Rowan Shaw takes real situations in the LGBT world and adds them to her books. I have said this before but Rowan is quickly becoming a fave author of mine who writes M/M romances. So looking forward to Rebound.
Holiday Terminal is a beautiful opening to the holiday season by Gwyn McNamee and Christy Anderson. It is a Hallmark worthy second chances Christmas story that leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy! I have read Gwyn McNamee writing before but it was my first encounter with Christy Anderson and I was not disappointed! Holiday Terminal gives us the reunion of Artemis Warren and Penelope Barnes who are thrown together in the middle of Nowhere for Christmas and I am sure that at first neither of them really considered it to be a Christmas present but the fate has decided to step in and who are we mere mortals to fight against what is to happen … of course it should not be an easy ride so buckle in for a Christmas ride filled with Christmas spirit with a Christmas miracle peaking round the corner!

This is a great collection of stories that will bring the spirit of Christmas and warm your heart at the same time. There is something for everyone and you will love these holiday romances. They are engaging stories that will keep you reading. My favorite is Two Hearts: Christmas Gift where a doctor is given the chance to give back to the person who saved his life. This is a great book to warm your cold night with, I highly recommend this book.
Revive is the third book in the Rewind story by Rowan Shaw. The book is a M/M bisexual romance book wjth drama included. Shaw writes an all in story that grabs you from the beginning. The characters are believable and can be your next store neighbors. His complex writing style kept me engaged in the book at all times. This story is about Patrick and Brandon. There is one tiny problem for Brandon his just had sex with Patrick. It usually not a problem but Patrick turns out to be Brandon therapist. The rest is what they say is history. Will Patrick and Brandon able to break through the barriers that lie ahead for them? Can they be who they want to be or will society tell them who they are to be? Fine this out and more when you read this story.
