This anthology has 12 stories by 12 authors and something for everybody. Some are shorter than others and some are prequels or side stories from an already established series, but I was able to follow along and enjoy the stories very well. Each brings its own level of heat, romance and drama and who could ask for anything better!
I was excited to see Julie C Gardner was releasing another Friendship & Secrets novel. I fell in love with her writing in Forgetting Ophelia and this was another promising read. I adored this novel, could not ever put it down until I had devoured the entire thing. I would personally recommend that you read Forgetting Ophelia before The Opposite of Addie. The stories do seem to play into each other and build. It is imperative though and you could probably read it as a stand alone if that is more your thing.
The Opposite of Addie is a novel you will want to have the box of tissues handy while reading. This book wrecked me at times and was such a thought provoking read. I adored the way I felt these characters were not only believable but realistic feelings. I wanted to find them all and give them hugs. I won’t give much more info other than what is already shared in the blurb because I can’t ruin this gem of a read, but I can tell you this is one you do not want to miss if you are a fan of contemporary romance!

Anthologies are my favorite! 12 stories with different authors. Some new to me and some not. This is the best way to get a taste of a new author.
These stories are set in…the big city…These stories are steamy. The characters are adventurous and daring. Starting at the top with The 57th Floor by Hazel Storm. What a cute and sexy story! Madelyn Harris is every parent’s dream child. Or in her case grandparent’s dream grandchild. Madelyn is a hard, dedicated worker. So dedicated that she doesn’t see what is right in front of her. Luckily Madelyn has her grandmother to help her. Another story that was fun to read is A Hole by Phoebe Alexander. How needs a reminder that friends are important? Ace’s friends are hilarious! I hope there are more stories about them! Ella and Ace are the victims of a misunderstanding. Hopefully those friends can help them figure it out.
Definitely recommend this anthology. These stories are easy and quick to read. Added bonus is that some of the proceeds go to a good cause!
I was hooked from page one by Rachel Huffmire’s Young Adult novel ‘Shattered Snow’, it is a retelling of the fairy story Snow White but it has a science fiction twist to it. The author has based her novel on the real life story of Margaretha von Waldeck, a sixteenth-century countess who is thought to have inspired the Grimm brothers’ original fairy tale. “Time travel may be illegal, but The Mirror doesn’t mind breaking a few laws”. In 1537 a young countess, Margaretha is destined to be poisoned when she reaches twenty-one but when she discovers a mysterious mirror in the woods her future shatters and her world is turned into ice and shadows. In the future, 2069, time-travel is restricted to observation and research only however, Keltson Grammar runs an “underground empire that rescues unfortunate souls throughout history”, Known only as “The Mirror”. Keltson knows that a single mistake could send an “entire agency to reinstate his clients to their original dismal fates”. Meanwhile Russian mechanic, Lilia Vaschenko will do anything to escape the cinderblock towers, unclimbable ladders and the glass ceiling that surrounds her, even work for the world’s most wanted renegade. ‘Shattered Snow’ is an engaging and enjoyable read with a original and unique storyline and it is a completely different version of the well known ‘Snow White’ fairytale. The authors wonderful narrative and world building really brings both the time periods, the setting and the well defined characters to life with her detailed descriptions. I loved the time travelling elements to this story and I liked the main characters who were realistic and relatable and who each added to the story in their own ways. I found it was a fast paced storyline which flowed well and the plot was unpredictable and kept me gripped throughout. The story and the characters stayed with me long after I had finished reading and I look forward to the second book in ‘The Mirror Chronicles’ series.

The ‘A’ in A Hole is Ace, a comedian who has a massive crush on the bank teller in the building he works in but the thing is her friends has told her he’s an A hole! But is he really? This is a funny, hot steamy romance that I’m sure you’ll love if that’s the kind of book you enjoy. It is a novella so it’s not a long drawn out story. It’s fast and flows well and I can guarantee that you’ll be hooked to Ace and Ella’s story.

I have loved each book that Nicole Flockton has brought to this series, and this one is no different. This is an amazing holiday romance read that puts you right in a cosy mood ready to sit back and thoroughly enjoy this read. This book has brilliant descriptions and it really captivates you and draws you into the story. It gives you all that you need from a great Romance book, the romance, the ups and downs, the banter and everything in-between! I loved following Trey & Maggie’s story from beginning to end and I know you will too! This is one not to be missed!

A Beach Wedding To Die For (Cozy Mysteries To Die For Book 2) by Judy Moore was quite a surprise. I absolutely thought I had this figured out, I was shocked and surprised that I was wrong. It was an intriguing little mystery story and very well written. I’m not much for romances but I love the slow burn of the romance that is building between Beck and Devon. It’s just the right dose of sweet. This is my second book by Judy Moore, the first one was A Book Signing to Die For, also a great book. I believe I am a Judy Moore fan for life.

Shattered Snow by Rachel Huffmire is the first book in The Mirror Chronicles series. I always enjoy reading an author’s new take on a classic story but this was far above what I expected. This is a new imagining of Snow White which includes the poisoned apple, huntsman, and other known characters but stirs it up with time travel with historical references. I really enjoyed the characters and how this was a well-blended mix of different genres. I can see all ages from teen to adult enjoying this book. Also, it tones down the romance to allow other elements of the story to come forward. What a wonderful start to a series. I look forward to reading more from this author soon.

Sometimes you just need something light and fun. You know, when you’ve had that hard day at work, the kids are annoying you, and dinner’s burned. You just want to get away from it all. Well, this is definitely a ‘Calgon’ kinda book! (Does anyone else get that reference?)
License to Bite: A Paranormal Romantic Comedy (New Orleans Nocturnes Book 1) by Carrie Pulkinen was a cute campy read. As a first-time reader of Ms. Pulkinen, I enjoyed the premise of the story and found myself chuckling along. Ethan Devereaux, a “young” vamp meets Jane Anderson and is instantly intrigued. She pulls at him in some unforeseen way and he can’t figure out why. When circumstances force Ethan to “turn” Jane, he thinks it’s fate at hand. Until Jane “wakes up” and he’s wondering what he ever did to deserve what fate has plopped into his lap. Jane Anderson is just coasting along in life. The daughter of the governor of Texas, she is itching to stretch her wings and her trip to ‘The Big Easy’ with her best friend is her chance. Until she meets Ethan (kinda). Interested in discovering more about the mysterious man, she is unprepared when she finds herself in his home and undead.
Now Ethan must teach her everything she needs to know about being a vampire and Jane has to get over her aversion to blood to get her vampire license. But not everyone wants to see Ethan and Jane succeed. Can Ethan help Jane get over her quirks in time or will they both end up staked,
Using witty humor combined with interesting characters, Ms. Pulkinen weaves a good tale that keeps the reader engaged. The chemistry between the two main characters is not heavy but consistent. The sub-characters are fun and interesting, leading the reader to want to know them better. If you are looking for a cute lighthearted book, this is one you should definitely pick up.

Returning to his home town he suddenly (unbeknownst to him) finds himself pitted against the town Christmas queen and the fun begins. Assumptions are made by both characters and the tug of war begins and ends up not at all how they assumed it would once they unwrap each other layer by layer to see the true person.

This is a YA/College Romance. The main characters are older college students and there is lots of parties and sex in this book. While Jordan is a basketball player and a player on and off the courts, Tess is his total opposite. She is quiet and reserved. Can Jordan manage to put his playing days aside and become a one woman man? This is book one in a duet. I am looking forward to book 2.

There’s something for everyone in this set of stories. All the stories are well written and the characters are fun and realistic. My favorite story was A Hole by Phoebe Alexander. A Hole is a fun short story about a comedian who may have been mistaken for someone else. He has his eye on a particular bank teller. Will she say yes and go out with Ace? What will happen when the truth comes out out? If you like Romance and hot and steamy Romance , I highly recommend reading this Anthology. I mean who doesn’t love a great Anthology? There was a couple authors that were new to me and I’m definitely going to be checking out more books from them.

I loved this collection of romance stories. There is literally something for everyone no matter what type of romance you like. All the books are well written and you can’t help falling in love with the characters.
One of my favourites has to the A Hole by Pheobe Alexander. This is one of my favourite authors and this story didn’t disappoint.
What I really like is the stories are short enough that it allows you to sample new authors.

A Hole by Phoebe Alexander

This was a fun quick read and keeps you on your toes wondering what will happen next. It’s the first in a new series by Phoebe Alexander and I already can’t wait to read the rest of them, especially if it continues on with the different characters that are in this one. While I normally prefer a longer book with more meat to the story this one had everything needed to feel the connection that formed and also with the inner dialogue for each of the main characters I was able to understand each of them. I laughed out loud more than once while reading and really hope Ace and Ella show up in the next story as well so we can see how they are doing.

Awwww, this was such a sweet read, fast moving and I finished it in less than 30 minutes. Henry and Eliza and their story was awesome, although everything happened quickly it still felt as though I got everything I needed to feel the connection growing between these two. I loved the relationship between Eliza and Nathan and laughed out loud during their conversations. I would have loved a longer story with these two but am happy with what I got. I love Bree Kraemer and will always be one of the first in line to read her books

Beck is back again with another murder mystery on her hands. This is a great addition to the series and has all of the fun characters you remember from book one, with a few new ones thrown in. While it is set in the same town, it is different enough to make it feel like something new and fresh, not the same story rehashed. This really is such a fun cozy mystery and I could not put it down, guessing whodunit until the end.
If you are a fan of cozy mysteries set in a beach town location with great characters, this book and series is for you.

Reading the final chapter of Kain and Izzy’s journey was a joy. There were some twists and turns but that made the book just more enjoyable. The ending surprised me a little but it fit the story. It really did the series justice and although it was a shocking ending, it felt right. I really enjoyed this series and look forward to reading more from Tabi Slick.

Now see the sparks fly as a massive blizzard sees them stranded in a high-rise apartment together as they wait out the storm. Peter is determined to make the most of their time together to. It may be cold outside, but its definitely hot and steamy inside, as the blizzard rages.
A Hole: by Phoebe Alexander In typical Phoebe Alexander style this story was hot, witty and very entertaining. Ace Bennett is trying to make a name for himself as a comedian. Then he meets Ella and we watch as he tries to win her over. Add some meddling friends to the mix, a few misunderstandings, a little angst, some humour, and a whole lot of heat- really made for a fun read.
The Wolf of Wall Street: by Lucy Eden Aurora Douglas (Rory) knew the ruthless reputation of her new boss CEO Luis Pine, but she is about to discover just what a beast he is, in every sense of the word. This is a paranormal romance with an alpha male wolf shifter who finds his fated mate in Rory. With off the charts chemistry, keeping things professional was always going to be difficult. But having fate at play, as well as a little drama, some angst, and emotion- gave this story an interesting spin.
One Night with A Knight: by Aidy Award “I hadn’t told anyone I’d gotten a waitressing gig at the grand re-opening of the infamous Asylum club. Some billionaire had bought it and was moving to the top floor of Cruz Tower…” Camila (Mila) hasn’t had the best of luck lately, so a night out with friends is supposed to lift her spirits. Hudson is a star player with the New York Knights enjoying time at the Asylum Club with his teammates. Hudson and Camila have a history together and this story is about second chances and how one night can change everything.
44th & Blue: by Jodi Payne Cole and Ben met at a club and have been hooking up ever since. But when Ben’s Law Firm moves into a new high-rise office, he never expected to discover Cole working on the final refurbishing touches. Ben doesn’t like complicated, as his life is perfectly compartmentalized for that very reason. He pushes Cole away- but Cole isn’t won’t go down without a fight. This is a fun, angsty, M/M romance with a touch of emotion that made for a great read.
Courtney: by Jayce Ellis Courtney is a fashion photographer who has been working abroad finally arrives home after many years away. He intends to take time to relax and reconnect with life here. But things take an interesting turn when he meets Tracey. This is a sweet M/M romance about finding love unexpectedly.
The Right Note: by Bree Kraemer I can always count on Bree Kraemer to deliver a captivating read, and that is definitely the case with this wonderful story. Eliza and Henry show how music can lead the way to love.
Felling Bechet: by Stella Williams Sometime love sneaks up when you least expect it. Bechet and Isis have a ‘no-strings-attached’ arrangement that seemed to be the perfect plan. But things take a complicated turn when Bechet takes a fall.
The Glass Tower: by Emily Gray Love is a powerful force. But can it survive hostile pressure intent on destruction? A captivating story that had me flipping the pages to discover how everything would play out in the end.
Make Me Beg: by Moni Boyce This is a great romantic suspense- an enemies to lovers mafia romance with all the elements I love to find in a captivating read. Sexy, steamy, intriguing, and dramatic.
Global City Tryst: by Maida Malby Global City Trust is the prequel to Singapore Fling and is A Carpe Diem Chronicles Novelette by Maida Malby. This is my first read from Ms. Alby, s I really didn’t know what to expect going into the book. What I discovered was a sexy story about a torrid weekend fling that may be more than our MC’s Maddie and Aiden expected.
All the stories in this anthology are really quite wonderful and engrossing- with superb plots, interesting and endearing characters- and each story was well-written. There are some funny, light-hearted and touching moments; some hot and spicy times; some dramatic developments and suspenseful moments- as well as some tender heart-melting romance. There is definitely something here to please everyone. It is worth every cent of the purchase price- 12 books for the price of one! Now that is a bargain!

Tompkin’s School: For the Resurrected (A Supernatural Academy Trilogy Book 3) By Tabi Slick 4 Stars
The war is coming closer to becoming a reality. Izara and Kain don’t know who they can trust. With opposite opinions, they are losing trust in each other as well. People are not who they appear to be. Enemies become friends and friends turn into enemies. Credan’s power is growing and everyone is going crazy.
This is by far my favourite book in this trilogy. Everything comes to a head and the book is full of action. Add some mystery and backstabbing and you have a winning story. Although I’m not sure I liked the ending, the story ended as it should. All loose ends are tied. This is absolutely an amazing trilogy. A definite must read.

India Kells is an amazing writer. I loved this series of books The Sanctuary Chronicles, which are the stories of three witches. The plot is full of suspense and the characters are well-developed. The stories are paranormal fantasies with some romance and plenty of adventure. The writing flows well and the books are a great escape read. I highly recommend these books.

I ABSOLUTELY love this book!! I didn’t want to stop reading and also wish it would go on forever. This reads like a dream. It’s smooth, sexy, dramatic and OMG that banana scene! So H-O-T! The characters are outstanding. I ab-so-lutely LOVE these two! They are great together! Almost magic! They made me laugh and I could really *feel* FOR them and WITH them.
I loved that Bella is an arts teacher, Italian, and speaks her mind. She has that certain spunk that appeals. When she speaks Italian….it is sexy! What she does for the school and kids is inspiring. I wish i could see the play. BTW her mother cracks me up! She is a lady who never wants to grow up.
Cade is a famous indie rock lead singer. He comes with baggage. Mostly his dedication for his job and that conflicts with his love of family. He has A LOT of pressure on him to perform correctly for all the above. The songwriting skills he has are impressive. I Love, LOVE, LOVE the song that he wrote!! How he came up with the different parts of it.
There are a ton of supporting characters in here. A few favorites are her crazy, fun mother,the band members andGramps. I love the relationship between the band members. They crack me up and I love that they have Cade’s back! His Gramps may be old but he is still so young at heart!
Overall I couldn’t get enough of this book! This is a book I can reread and enjoy over and Over. I think this would be great as an audio. Those lyrics…the singing and that Italian would sound awesome!

If you are looking for a sweet story about Christmas and love, look no further. A Merry Texan Christmas has it all. Everything is bigger in Texas and that includes a little competition about Christmas cheer. The story has a great simple storyline. The characters are fully developed and engaging. Trey is a former baseball superstar who has come back to Texas as a bookstore owner. Maggie Watson is a librarian who is known for her Christmas spirit, she is even called Miss Christmas. Trey decided that he was going to be getting into the Christmas Spirit and decorate his storefront and claim Mr. Christmas. What Trey did not expect was to have such a competition with Miss Christmas. How will the competition turn out? What else will come out of this competition? Will a Librarian outdo a Former Baseball Bookstore owner find each other outside of the competition? This is a sweet Christmas romance that everyone needs to read to believe in the Spirit of Christmas again.

This was a sweet and enchanting story. It is an enemies to lovers Christmas romance, where two rivals at a marketing firm, Rowan and Jeremy, find themselves vying for a promotion by creating a marketing plan for an amusement park. I didn’t necessarily like the characters a whole lot but I did like this as a feel-good story. It was nice to lose myself in a book for a couple of hours and this story is perfect for the holiday season.

Wow! I loved everything about this book! This story had me, my emotions and my heart all over the place. At first I was thinking that this would be another rich, popular, star athlete, falls in love with the pretty, shy and slightly less fortunate girl. In a way it was, but it was also so much more. I was waiting and waiting for the bomb to drop in their relationship and when it did it was not what I was expecting at all! Tessa is a sweetheart, I don’t know how anyone could dislike her but, Jordan’s nasty mom sure does. She is basic snotty rich house wife that thinks any girl her son has needs to be elite. The relationship between Tessa and Jordan is beautiful and then towards the end I started getting nervous for Tessa, Jordan seemed too distracted to make time for her, and a certain thing that he makes her do alone, whew, my heart just shattered. I need more! I can’t wait until the next book because I have to see what happens. Highly recommend this book!

‘A Beach Wedding To Die For’, is the second book in author Judy Moore’s ‘Cozy Mysteries To Die For’ series, although each book can be read as a standalone story the main characters do crossover. Having read and enjoyed ‘A Book Signing To Die For’ previously I was looking forward to this next instalment and was not disappointed. Back with what feels like old friends, are main characters Beck O’Rourke, her grandmother, Miss Alice, and Beck’s younger sister and lifeguard Lizzie. Beck owns ‘Beach Reads’ a bookstore and coffee shop which is also a gathering place for locals and tourists. The story is set set near the ocean in Manatee Beach, Florida and the trio who also live above the bookshop have another mystery to solve, and this time the action is happening at a wedding on the beach. When Beck’s is asked to be a bridesmaid for an old school friend she does not think she will be using her new found detective skills but when the jilted grooms from the brides first two weddings show up at her beach wedding to her latest groom their will definitely be trouble. When a murder takes place amateur sleuth Beck’s investigates but she keeps “butting heads” with the very handsome Devon Mathis, a Manatee Beach Police Department detective. I was hooked from page one of this cozy mystery crime drama and found myself reading late into the night, always a sign of a great book for me. The storyline is fairly fast paced and flows well and the clear narrative makes it an easy read. The plot has plenty of twist and turns in it that it kept me guessing until the end. I felt completely immersed in this story as the author really makes the wonderful characters and the setting come alive. I love the mix of well defined, likeable and relatable characters in Beck’s, Lizzie and Miss Alice who along with Devon all add something different to the story. I enjoyed following Beck’s as she investigated the case and I thought ‘A Beach Wedding To Die For’ was a well written, enjoyable and engaging novel. I look forward to future books in this series.

The Magic of Christmas is just what you need to cheer you up. I love reading a christmas romance at this time of year, gets you in the holiday spirit. I loved the back and forth chemistry between Rowan and Jeremy, it had me laughing throughout, The trip they take for work to the amusement park really makes them realise who the other person actually is deep down and not the persona they let on to be in the office and what it is they really want in life and that may just happen to be each other. So if you want a christmas Rom-com to get you in the christmas spirit this is the book for you 🙂

Big City Heat: A High-Rise Romance Anthology (A Steamy Contemporary Romance Box Set) is a collection of stories that will be sure to get your blood pumping! With a great selection of authors to choose from each and everyone of these stories brings something different to the anthology as a whole. I liked the fact that with this anthology I got a mix of authors I was familiar with as well as ones I hadn’t read before. It meant that I knew going into it I would like at least some of the stories but it also gave the excitement of discovering new authors. Each book was different from the rest so it was easy to keep track of each of the individual stories. I liked the fact that I could pick it up and put it down between books without it feeling like it broke the overall feeling this series gave me. I enjoyed each of the books in this anthology to varying degrees and overall I would say this is well worth your time! I am looking forward to reading more by each of these authors.
This is the third book in the series by Martin Ferguson. Relic Hunters is an amazing book and you get lost in the book. Want twist and unexpected turns this book has you on the edge of your seat. Like the other books perspective are written from each characters this real helps bring the story together with Adam main story. This is one of the best books I read with time travel.

Breaking Tessa: A College Sport Romance by T. Christensen is a story of two opposites and what happens when their worlds collide unexpectedly. This book is an emotional rollercoaster that will leave you thinking about it long after you have finished reading the book. I have only read a few books by this author but I have to say this one so far is my favourite. There was just something about Tessa and Jordan that drew me in completely and refused to let go. I instantly connected with their characters and I really felt like I was going on their journey with them! I enjoy the fact that this author doesn’t stick with the HEA type story and isn’t afraid to make you, as the reader, step a little outside of your comfort zone. It always makes the books feel more real. This is an amazing book and one I enjoyed immensely from start to finish. I cannot wait to see what happens next!
