Age of Druids (The Druid’s Brooch Series #9) by Christy Nicholas is a great little story. Great characters and great worldbuilding. I love Cliodhna’s character in this story. My thoughts were at the very beginning of the story, wow she’s a single mom just trying to get by. I love the contrast between the different faiths and the struggle that occurs. And I really loved learning how Fingin (Age of Secrets) came to be. This is a very enjoyable story. It’s certainly not a waste of your time that’s for sure.

I was unsure what to expect when I picked up this book. Having read other works by this author I knew I would enjoy the crafted word but the subject was one I was approaching with hesitancy. Ledwith does an admirable job establishing the subject and context and doing so with respect to the topic that can be approached by individuals of most faiths. Studied and detailed, this story flowed well and was extremely well written. This is a book that to fully appreciate I will need to read more than once but it is one that is most certainly worthy of a read.

If you’re looking for a book packed with adventure and twists. This story is perfect for you. This is book 3 and it doesn’t disappoint. Alex and his team of Hunters are at it again. This time they find themselves exploring the history and power lust of Hitler. All their individual skill are going to be needed to see them through this challenge. I really enjoy this authors writing style. The words just flow together so harmoniously that you become lost in the pages. The characters are well developed and you get a feel for who they truly are. I was not ready for the story to be over. I really liked all the turns the author took. You also see a different stand on Hitler and how he was power hungry. History is a fascinating and mysterious things. Because there are always three sides. I can’t wait to see what the next adventure the author will take me on.

If you like dark YA paranormal fantasies you have to read this series. I loved the way Slick developed the series and wrapped things up in this installment. This book was so well written that I flew through the pages before I realized I was close to the end. Engaging, riveting, and fantastic – this book and series weaves a story that captures your imagination and is the stuff dreams can be made of. Thoroughly enjoyed and hope to read more from this author soon.

The Magic of Christmas by Christi Barth was such a great read! I loved Rowan and Jeremy. They were such dynamic characters and their development was great to follow. I loved Rowan and her diligence to get the job done, she was icy at first but you do find out why. I did not put this book down and finished it in one sitting.

Brumbaugh’s epic fantasy trilogy comes to a gripping conclusion with this installment. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and being introduced to this author. Brumbaugh does a beautiful job weaving this tale through the fibers of a time and place that feels so fantastic and yet so tangible that you are immediately transported. The imagery was breathtaking and I loved the character development throughout. For most enjoyment this book should be read in series order. You will want to read them all again and again. Loved it!

This is a retelling of Snow White. There have been many retellings of fairytales lately and to be honest, some of them are not very imaginative. The same cannot be said whatsoever for this book. I completely forgot I was reading a retelling when I first started reading it. When I got further in, I met more and more characters that reminded me and I was thrilled. While staying true to the basic story, this author spins such a fantastic tale and really makes it their own. I can honestly say that I have never read anything like this and I loved that fact! The story and characters pulled me in immediately, I could not put the book down. I throughly enjoy the story and really loved the directions the author took. I am left wanting to know more about this world and these characters.
If you are a fan of fairytales and time traveling with strong, real characters, this book is for you.

Wendigo Forest by C.A. King, Usa Today Bestselling Author. This is a young adult paranormal fantasy read that is short and sweet but don’t let that fool ya. Its jam packed with fun! Its the story of Clara Fawn and she and her family were always on the move. She doesn’t have a lot of friends because of them always moving. As far as Clara knows her family has to move because of their job so she’s hoping this one will be permanent. When Clara goes to school on the first day she sees Hank and is in love. She can’t get him out of her mind and when he approaches her and invites her to hang out after school she is pumped. They later invite her to go camping so she does research on the woods called Wendigo Forest and when she tells her parents about it they forbid her to go. Well as you can guess she goes anyway and that’s when the fun begins! What will happen on this one night and will it change her life for the better or worse? Read Wendigo Forest to find out!
Wendigo Forest by C.A. King is yet another fantastic book by this author. It is a YA Novel about Clara and her family’s profession. From the moment I started reading this book I was drawn straight into the imaginative world the author has created. I could vividly picture everything she was describing and really became invested in the characters I was reading about. I loved the whole feel that the book seemed to have – not something I could specifically put my finger on but there was definitely that extra something there. I always think I have found my favourite book by this author and then another one come along a to prove me wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this book and I am looking forward to my next ready by such an amazing author.
Tompkin’s School: For the Resurrected by Tabi Slick is the third book in A Supernatural Academy Trilogy. I highly recommend reading the other books in the series first. This book ends the series on a high note and allows the reader one final challenge with Izara and Kain. I have enjoyed this series and have recommended it to some younger readers. This has action, adventure, fantasy, mystery, and paranormal. The characters have developed over the series and I am sorry to see them go. When I have picked up one of the books it is hard to put down, but this was the hardest. I had to read from beginning to end as quickly as I could to see how everything would tie together. I look forward to reading more from this author in the near future.

A Beach Wedding To Die For by Judy Moore is the second book in the Cozy Mysteries To Die For series. This can be read as a stand-alone book and does not have to be read in order. It was great to be able to pick up this book and get back to the characters of Beck and her grandmother. They were such fun to read about in book 1 and just the same in this one. As with the first this is a great example of a whodunit story – it was fun trying to work out who I thought was the one! This book was well written and exciting to read. It won’t me guessing throughout and even then I didn’t see the ending coming. It is a brilliant book and one I would highly recommend!

I loved reading the book The North Wind Descends (The Lord Hani Mysteries Book 4) by N.L. Holmes. It is a brilliantly written story that is full of intrigue and danger. The story has Lord Hani wondering why the king starts to honor him. He also has a new commission and a request from the queen. Hani is walking a thin line that has him seeking the truth while keeping those he loves safe. What does the future hold for Lord Hani? Read this book to find out. I don’t have enough words to say how I am enjoying this series. This story and the others in the series have complex and superb storylines and amazing characters that come alive. I feel like I am right there with them. This book pulled me in right from the beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until the final page. Don’t miss out on a story that includes mystery and is an exciting and entertaining read. I highly recommend reading it.

I loved reading the book Scepter of Flint (The Lord Hani Mysteries Book 3) by N.L. Holmes. It is the next story in a series that I have loved since reading the first book. It takes you back to another time and country. I am impressed by the information given about both the time that the characters live in as well as the current events that happen as well. In this story Hani finds himself trying to find out the truth behind a series of tomb robberies. He has to be careful of who he trusts as well as dodging a plague. I love the character of Lord Hani as he is a man who believes in justice and doesn’t want to see anyone unfairly charged. He also has the help of those he cares about and those that he knows he can trust. This is another fast-paced book that kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. Many of the additional characters have been brought forward from the first two books and I enjoy reading about the changes to their lives. There are suspenseful moments as well as sad moments. Don’t miss out on an exciting and entertaining story that you will not want to put down until the final page. I highly recommend reading it.

Shattered Snow (The Mirror Chronicles Book 1) by Rachel Huffmire 4 Stars
Let me start off by saying that I don’t usually read Sci-fi novels but I love fairytales so I decided to give this book a chance. I believe this is one of the best and original retelling of a classic fairytale. The author did an excellent job of combining actual history with the story using a vast amount of imagination. The flow between the p.o.v was effortless enabling the reader to fully immerse themselves in the characters.
This version allowed us to see more of a back story to the mirror and the evil queen which was enjoyable. I liked the fact that this read was more of an adventure than a romance. I did find the book a little long probably because I don’t enjoy sci-fi so all the back and forth time travelling grew monotonous. All in all, I think the author did an incredible job and I highly recommend this book.

Age of Druids is the ninth book in the Druid’s Brooch series. It can be read as a standalone, however you’ll get a much better experience if you read the whole series. As with the other books in the series, the world building and characters are amazing. The author really weaves the whole thing together in a way that makes you feel like you are right in the story with the characters. The attention to historical detail is superb. This book marks the end of the series, but there is so much packed in each book that you could probably read every book over again several times and still find something you didn’t notice before. Excellent book! Fantastic series.

I am at an absolute loss for words, Shattered Snow by Rachel Huffmire is AMAZING!! If you’ve ever read The Lunar Chronicles, you will LOVE this! I was hooked from start to finish, i could not put it down for even a moment, I had to know what happened next. This is my first book from Rachel Huffmire and I was absolutely blown away, I definitely need more from this author! I look forward to reading more from this very, very talented author!!

The fact that Trey is a bookstore owner in a small town with such a sweet name is so cozy for this story and the setting. Trey is a sweet character that’s easy to love and he and Maggie’s chemistry is so sensual as it starts off as rivals competing. I love how their dialogue seems to go with the flow of the book. This book is lovable and easy to read.

Wow what a book. It has everything from history, to time travel, to romance and betrayal. The author writes so well you feel you are part of the story. It is captivating and gripping.I loved the mixture of present day and ancient times and how different the way of life was back then.
Maggie has heard her fathers stories about Scotland and his home life all through her childhood. What she doesn’t realise is her father isn’t talking about his ancestors but about his life. He was transported from his home in 1513, 450 years ahead and now lives in the present day.
When Maggie gets told her father is returning to his home she thinks its just another excuse to join him on a dig until she finds herself transported back in time to her fathers home. At first things seem OK. She meets her family and is loving having them all around her. However that is short lived when her uncle informs her she is to marry someone she doesn’t even know. Now her modern thinking conflicts with her present situation and she doesn’t want to marry him, however refusal will cause a blood fued between the clans.

This is a novella that doesn’t say much but hints at a lot. The story ends and everything makes sense. It is a story that is superbly written. It is another paranormal story written with intrigue and mystery. I liked the main character and wished the story would have been longer but such as it is, it’s a very good read. I enjoyed the fact that the story involved less commonly known legends. Another excellent book written by Ms. King.

The characters are easy to fall in love with as much as their storyline. It’s easy to love this book with the holidays coming up. I enjoyed how their relationship blossomed but what makes it flow is the way it takes off. The element of the Christmas spirit, romance and love is beautiful in this read. I enjoyed the perfect way this author built this character up through other characters. The reader saw her evolve in many ways from inner strength to outer strength in a tale that was set up against her. She’s had so much to overcome and so much on the line that her story is a powerful finale to this series. I think you’ll enjoy it just as much as I did.

The Lies Between Us: A Psychic Romantic Suspense (Deadly Secrets Book 4) by Cynthia Cooke. While this is book 4 I’ve yet to read the others and I can say you could definitely read this as a stand-alone. I’ll be honest though I’m really looking forward to going back and reading the rest because this one had me hooked. I’m always looking for books that I can just sink into effortlessly and that’s definitely what I found with this book. The characters are complex and relatable, they had a way of drawing me in and I was so caught up that the outside world was lost to me for a while. The storyline is engaging and unique enough to keep me hooked from start to finish. I can’t wait to see what else this author has to offer. Five stars all the way and highly recommended.

The Queen’s Dog is the third book in the An Empire at Twilight series by N.L Holmes. This is a historical fiction that is packed with action, mystery and suspense . I found myself lost in the pages and had a hard time putting it down. The authors attention to detail simply blew me away. This is my favorite yet. In this story we have a Eunuch who is a slave and he believes his mistress the queen loves him. Find out what happens when he’s asked to spy on her and learns of her betrayal . Will he save her? I highly recommend reading not only this book but the whole series. I can’t wait to see what this author brings us next.

Bishop’s Gambit (Redclaw Origins #2) by McKenna Dean
This is the first book I’ve read by the author. It won’t be my last and I love it. Dean knows how to keep you interested from beginning to end.
Rhett Bishop is trying to make things right with Redclaw. She has to pretty much jump through hoops to do so. The quote I chose for Rhett is: “You want me to work with Knight on this mission. Undercover in Forest Grove.”
Peter Knight is a genius. When he is told he has to go on a case. He’s not an agent like Bishop but it doesn’t stop him. The quote I chose for Peter is: “Have to be certain nothing we put out there is dangerous to the rest of the population. Can’t put anything on the market too advanced, or someone will start looking into how Redclaw is making these extraordinary gains in manufacturing. I don’t see that slowing down our old pal Stirling, though.”
Bishop’s Gambit is the second book in the Redclaw Origins Series by McKenna Dean. This is the first book I have read by Ms. Dean, and I had no problem following the story line. However, this book intrigued me enough to want to go back and read the first book. The story flowed smoothly from beginning to end. Rhett and Knight are great characters. The dialogue is witty and fun. It was an overall feel good read, that I truly enjoyed. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more stories from Ms. Dean. Review by @sunbarn

A Beach Wedding To Die For by Judy Moore. This author definitely knows mystery and how to keep readers like me guessing. I take a certain kind of pride in figuring out The Who done it in a mystery book. But without fail this author always has me guessing right to the very end. Each character the author created is unique and brings something different to the story. The storyline is engaging and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I found myself on the edge of my seat more than once. I love the storyline and found myself completely drawn in and happy to get lost in the pages of this story. Another fantastic read by this author and I can’t wait for more. Five stars all the way and highly recommended!
