My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story was really cute. For me it rang true cause it really did portray how siblings act around each other. The story reminded me of my childhood and how fighting with my brothers and sisters turned into a game that we enjoyed together. I recommend this book for anyone with young children. It is a good story and I think many kids will enjoy it.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Stars!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is book #2 in the series and it definitely did not disappoint!! Highly recommended to read the first book before picking up book two as this story really evolves and flows into the second book. This book makes me want to visit Venice…the art and culture itself!!

Nick and Julia O’Connor have been captured! Going home was the goal but Interpol had other plans. Unfortunately Nick is contained and it is up to Julia to save the day…but there is betrayal and Julia just does not know whom to trust at this point…especially since Salvatore believe Nick is aware of where the mysterious book is hidden….

This book is full twists, turns, history, art and action!! This authors attention to detail is just phenomenal and I am looking forward and being hopeful with a 3rd book :).

This is the second book in this series which I enjoyed just as much as the first if not more. This is a well written story where the author used details to make the story realistic. A story that is fast paced, engaging and hard to put down. A story with mystery and where the past may have a link to current events. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into the story from the start. I found them to have great growth throughout the story. You don’t want to miss what happens in this story. This is an entertaining and easy story to read. I enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it

I enjoyed reading this romance story. This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. I have enjoyed reading her books from the first one I picked up. One of the things I enjoy most about this author is her writing skills and her ability to pull me into her stories. This book is no different. This is a well written story about giving love another chance. The characters are written with a lot of heart and soul. They have great chemistry and growth throughout the story which made the story easy to read. I found them to be relatable and had no problems picturing myself in their world. This is a fast paced, engaging story that is hard to put down. I highly recommend this book and this author.

This author has quickly become a quick staple in our household. Each and every book we read by her is just as good as the last and we all get so much enjoyment out of them. I have to say this book probably wasn’t my favourite out of the ones we read, but both of my children seemed to love it. They found it entertaining right from the start and actually sat at read it all with me.
This author really has a knack for writing great children’s stories and I know we are always in for a good one when we pick one of hers. I am looking forward to starting the next one.

This is such a sweet and fun story with an adorable character right at its core. I read this book with my daughter and I could see how much she engaged with the main character. Her inquisitive nature and how much she loved to explore really appealed to my daughter and her own nature.
I think I really connected with this character too as she is so close in age to my daughter. I found myself comparing them as we read through the book – which we did more that once! The whole story was fun and entertaining. This was a great read and I am already looking forward to when we read it again.

This is Mary and Brad’s story- we met these characters previously in Book One. They have been friends since they were children with many secret feelings which were never told. Hearts were broken and it seemed as though things were lost forever. Life has a way of changing and they are reunited through fate. Old feelings are stirred up yet again but will the past hinder a future relationship? A fantastic read.

I really enjoyed this historical romance with a touch of mystery. It made it a unique read. What I love about this author writing is that is is written in the time period the story is set which makes it really realistic and also helps the reader to relate to the time period and the things that happen. I love Laurel’s character and her development through the story starting as a young girl and growing into a lady that isn’t afraid to protect her home and the people she loves.

Robert needs to leave and head to the war in Spain but he is determined to capture Laurel before he goes. Now they are married and Laurel is thrown into a life she is not prepared for. Not only does she need to learn how to run a big estate, but with a constant battle with her sister in law and mysterious happenings in the home she has a lot to deal with. Upon Roberts return things should have improved but is Robert the same man he was when he left? What will he think when Laurel explains all she had experienced and witnessed in his absence? And when it comes down to it will he take his wife’s side or his sisters?

Raine Down (The Shadow Guardians Book 1) by CB Samet – Review by Rebeca Elliott Figueiras

Raine Down (The Shadow Guardians, #1)Raine Down by C.B. Samet
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book has a unique twist on Greek Mythology and lovable characters which combined is just magic.
It’s been a long time since there was a book which I honestly couldn’t put down, reading well into the early hours to finish.
I was initially interested by the criminal investigation and inter-agency elements but was captured by the supernatural.

I loved both main characters, Will and Raine, and enjoyed experiencing their investigative journey and their relationship progression. But even how they evolved as individuals was portrayed very well and I was emotionally invested from the start.

There were time reading that I was unable to contain my joy, grinning like an idiot and others that I wanted to slap them both on the back of the head Agent Gibbs style in loving frustration.

I can’t wait for the rest of the series to be released and get immersed all over again.
This quickly became one of my favourites and I’m so happy I chose this book. I will definitely be looking for more books by this author.

I could rave about this book for hours, but don’t want to give anything away. If you like criminal investigation, paranormal and/or romances, I thoroughly recommend you read this book!

I Love You Today (The Trading Heartbeats Trilogy #2) by Julie Navickas

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. This is the second book in The Trading Heartbeats Trilogy. I Love You Today is a great read. It gives the hope that you can find love.

Austin is helping his ex pack up and it’s to move on with his twin brother. He isn’t thrilled about the situation, but it might just help that his ex’s roommate is a friend. Can something happen between the two of them? The quote I chose for Austin is: “Tonight is on me, Casey. You did me a huge favor. I really didn’t want to sit there with them all night.”

Casey is hurt that her best friend, co-worker, and roommate is leaving. She isn’t sure what to do now that she is leaving. She feels bad for Austin and takes him out to show him around town. She knows he feels nothing for her and it sucks. The quote I chose for Casey is: “You don’t need me. You never did. The real question is what I’m going to do without you. I hate that you’re leaving.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Sports Romance lovers.

Faultless Love: A Small Town Second Chance Romance (The Bennetts of Langston Falls #1) by K.G. Fletcher

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. Faultless Love is a great book and I can’t wait for the next one. This is the first book of The Bennetts of Langston Falls Series. Teddy is a man of my dreams without going to jail.

Teddy is home. After five long years in jail for something he didn’t do. He left behind the love of his life. His family. Now he’s only got his family minus his mom. Can he and Robyn make it work? The quote I chose for Ted is: “The worst is behind me, Hank. I’m sorry you felt helpless. I didn’t mean to make you feel that way.”

Robyn is still in Langston Falls. She hasn’t exactly forgotten Ted, but she doesn’t know how to react now that he’s home. Will she see him? The quote I chose for Robyn is: “It’s probably because I overindulged last night, and now I’m paying the price adding an overloaded coffee to the mix.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

Degrees of Innocence: Dark Mafia Romance (Cruel Deceptions Book 1) By Via Mari – Review by Jessica Stone

I’ve been blown away a lot quite recently with the “mafia” romances I’ve been reading and this one once again, did not disappoint.

Pretty straightforward story about a strong independent, intelligent woman, who ends up falling for the man she never saw coming. Katerina or Kate as she likes to be called is a design consultant hired on to a new job, when her and her team are flown out as a team to spend some time working on a design concept. Some crazy things start happening shortly after they arrive and Kate ends meeting our gorgeous gorgeous man Chase. Not knowing that he’s the billionaire who hired her team for the project at the time, it’s already too late for Katerina to get away from this man. From the moment he met her, Chase is enthralled with her brains and beauty, and don’t get me wrong, Kate feels the attraction as-well, it even has her thinking she might have found something special, something real, that is until she finds out Chase is her new billionaire boss. Their connection grows, but so does the danger surrounding them, and the ever growing threat to Kate from an unknown enemy. Is it linked to her new acquaintance to Chase or does it have to do with who Kate is and where she comes from….

Ok so that being said, this one’s a hottttt one, granted I’ve read spicer but this had me sweating a bit. The chemistry between these two is undeniable and so much fun. Chase is very controlling, domineering, typical manly man ,I will protect you, you’re mine sort. And Kate is very much a, I can do things by myself, I don’t need you holding my hand, stop telling me what to do, I’m a grown woman, type of gal. They butt heads in the most delicious way possible.

I absolutely loveee the spin on the mafia romance, the book has ties to the mafia don’t get me wrong but it’s not fully centered around big mafia men telling women what to do, keeping them safe, being the main story. The action/mystery of who is behind the increasing attacks on Kate kept me guessing all the way to the end and still I was flabbergasted. I still have soooo many question I need answered, I cannot (hopefully) wait to read more about these two and delve deeper into their life and the story of those surrounding them.

Wonderful mix of smutty, mysterious, mafia romance all put together and packaged neatly, I think this author did a wonderful job building her characters and starting this world, I’m excited to see more!

This book was a nice light romance read, and the characters had great character growth. In the beginning we are introduced to Austin and then to Casey. This book was the first time I was introduced to these characters, even though this is the second book in the series. I thought the story between Austin and Casey were a very cute couple that had to learn to grow together. They also had to learn how to manage life with out Mavis, as this person both impacted the two in differing ways.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I am honestly torn on this review. While growing up my brother and I had a very competitive childhood, never did we faulter in our ability to grow together and learn new things from each other. This story however seems to pit the two kids against each other all the time. Carl always trying to build the bigger, better castle and Mira bound and determined to destroy each one. This is really encouraging destructive behavior and when there is no correction from adults makes the kids think it is okay to behave in this manner. I had my teenager read this book as well and she and I both agree that the ending was really cut short as well. Just like flipping a switch now the kids are eager to spend time together? Why so Mira can torment her brother somemore? It just really is not my favorite and I probably will never share with the younger kids in the family when even my teenager says this book isn’t okay. Yes kids have sibling rivalries but honestly for there to be no correction from parents it just is not okay.

My kids love this author, she always has them thinking, using their imagination in one way or the other. They learned to treat everything fairly. Wonderful story, their favorite part was the pictures and trying to guess what would happen next in the story based off of them, they never got it right, but it was fun (as mom) to see the wheels turning and them thinking up different things.
