Makayla is back for her third year at Grave Digger Academy, but it may be her last. Not just students but teachers are also going missing. Will she be able to uncover who is behind the disappearances or will she become one of the missing? This has been a fun series to read so far. I have enjoyed the world building and character development the author has produced. I don’t necessarily feel as though you would get lost if you were to read any of the books as a standalone, however it would give you a bit more of the back story if you were to do so. I started this at the beginning and 5/5 I would highly recommend.

The HusbandsThe Husbands by Naomi Valkyrie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dorian and Augustine are two men who are happily married to two beautiful women, they have the lives they want and everything they could need, that is until the day that an assassin brings them together in an extremely unexpected way. They meet in unusual circumstances, but soon find that their relationship is blooming and they begin to care for each other, however, when things look like they could cross some lines and break apart their current lives and those of the ones they love, they decide to stay away from each other and hope that the distance will help them to heal their broken hearts.

This plan seems to be working fine and for the next few years, things move along in both their lives, Dorian with his self employment where he controls how much or little work he does and Augustine his graphic design business, as well as each of them supporting their wives in their endeavours. Unbeknownst to the men, their wives meet each other by chance and become fast friends and declare that they would like the husbands to meet and become friends too.

So, one night, one of the wives invite the other to a party they are throwing and when they introduce their respective husbands to each other, the men are completely blindsided and everything that had been left behind comes crashing back in full force. What will become of this pairing and how can they keep things friendly without acting on the temptations they are faced with every time they meet up? This is a tangled web of unrequited and forbidden love, with secrets, lies and half truths scattered throughout, as denial and temptation rear up to create a bubbling sea of uncertainty.

I just love it when I read a book and I think it can’t get any better and then it does !!! Now I loved the first book but this one just blew me away ❣️

So much is happening Josh and Mavis are getting closed and closer to the wedding . Austin has job opportunities coming his his way . Casey is blossoming into herself and Austin has a lot to do with it and what I say is with love … Mavis is so so yesterday Austin and Casey you’re it ❣️

I identified so much with Casey and I’m so damn proud of her for conquering her insecurities and tacking those giants that could cripple us if we give them half a chance !

Much and Lauren had me really worried and my heart cries for them , I hope and pray they work through what’s hurting them 🙏 hang in there guys , hold onto love and the good memories, fight for you 💓

Looking forward to the final instalment ❣️📕

Just loving these fun covers !

I can only imagine how tough it is to help others find love , sometimes it leaves scars because people are so bitter and jaded and not every story has a HEA ….

Robert hasn’t had it easy and he’s the definition of ice king but his daughter seems to have a way of getting through to the bit of light in his darkness🥰

Alice is a real sweetheart and I’m so grateful she manages to touch her daddy’s heart, it feels like she’s helping him hold on to his humanity

Faida had her work cut out for her with this assignment and there were a few occasions where I would’ve walked away but nope Faida preserved , you go girl ! Love you to bits 🥰

All I want to do is pop some popcorn , open a bottle of Mascato and settle down in front of the TV , snuggle into my comfy blanket and binge watch all the rom cons I can ! ❤️

I love all the characters but I most identify with Lisa for various reasons but the love we share for “while you were sleeping “ must be the highlight of our relationship 😍😉

I just love the way the girls took Lisa in and made them one of their own ❣️there’s so much to appreciate and envy to a degree about these girls from their movie club to the way they rally around Lisa when they see triggers that upset her 🥰

This is one of those reads that you want to shout out from the the rooftops ! Lisa you blessed with love and friendship !

Nick and Julia are a great couple and as they stick together and continue to be thick as thieves in this adventure you can’t help but be as excited and determined as they are to find a solution and to free his beloved Della. After this book Italy and art will never look the same again.

Faultless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls Book 1) by KG Fletcher – Review by Kaylee Johnston

Faultless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls, #1)Faultless Love by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Faultless Love was a second chance, small-town, steamy romance. Ted is a convicted felon on parole for a crime he didn’t commit. Robyn is his true high school sweetheart who has put her life on hold while he served his sentence. Things happen after Ted is released and there’s a chance he might be thrown back in jail.

The things I loved about this book are how cute the two are with each other, the plot was exciting, and it was hard to put the story down. I really enjoyed the connection among the family members and how the farm and everything were set up. It was very cute and entertaining.

The things I didn’t quite enjoy about the book were the way the prose was written, the way Ted talked about his sister, and how some of the things didn’t quite finish up. We didn’t get some things wrapped up around the plot. It was a bit of a weird wrap-up.

Overall, it was a decent story. I enjoyed reading the story and loved the couple. It was a cute story that had a bit of a kick to it. I enjoyed the tropes and the idea behind it. It was a good read for anyone who loves small towns, farms, and second chances.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow. This was a well written work of fiction. I enjoyed the Norse mythology touch. Most of what I know does come from the avengers but mythology has always been an interest of mine. This story was full of action, romance, and a bit of comedy. The easy banter between Raine and Will was magical before they realized their feelings for one another. Will had such an open mind from the moment they met. This story was such an easy to get lost into book. I highly recommend it.

And Then She Fell by Dreena Collins – Review by Julie Johnson

And Then She FellAnd Then She Fell by Dreena Collins
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A mother’s love knows no bounds but as a mother, how well do you know your children? Catherine Keely’s daughter Susie died a year ago. She was on holiday with her boyfriend Daniel and some friends when she fell over a balcony. Was she drunk? Some say she was. Was she pushed? It’s pretty suspect. Catherine travels to Crete to try to get to the bottom of her daughter’s death. There are so many questions that she has. As she meets with Susie’s friends, her former boyfriend, and people who were present on the night of Susie’s death, different pictures emerge. All of them have some layer of truth to them but what really is the truth? She’s presented with ten different scenarios and the reader is challenged to choose the correct one.

This is another new-to-me author and I found her writing style to be very easy to read. She has a way of drawing the reader in to her story and not letting go even after the last words are read. This book is full of intrigue and lots of twists and turns. I hope you’ll enjoy this great little short story!

And Then She Fell by Dreena Collins – Review by Beverly Finnie

And Then She FellAnd Then She Fell by Dreena Collins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I’m on a ledge deciding which way to fall when it comes to this book. And Then She Fell was an interesting read. Although I didn’t love it, I didn’t dislike it either. This book was wonderfully written and deserves praise in this regard. The author kept me intrigued, which says a lot because I struggled at the beginning trying to get into the book. I want to be proven wrong, I made an assumption early on which is what kept me reading. But I will neither confirm or deny the outcome of that want.
Catherine is retracing the steps of her late daughter Susie. She doesn’t fully believe her death was an accident(neither do I.) She finds herself back in Crete at the hotel where it happened. She finds herself meeting up with Susie’s two friends Jessica and Sebastien, where she finds out Daniel was a controlling boyfriend. She also ends up in Daniel’s crosshairs. Despite all this she’s being stalked/threatened, somebody doesn’t want her to continue her quest. Susie was changing and she never noticed.
What kind of mom does that make her?
That’s a question she seemed to internally ask herself throughout.
I don’t trust Daniel. I also firmly believed from an early point that he pushed Susie, maybe not intentionally but it still happened. Like I said I want to be proven wrong. Controlling relationships sometimes go too far, unfortunately the next likely scenario is even sadder. There are things that take one’s mind elsewhere when reading that give one hope to be proven wrong, but sad knowing what the outcome would be.
If you like reading for clues and making your own assumptions hoping to be right or wrong, this book is perfect for you. The author gives you so much, it makes you feel one with Catherine in her path of discovery to what happened When She Fell.

This book is so intriguing. I love how it has different scenarios in a kind of who dunnit mystery. I love the mother’s POV and getting to see how she is a year after this tragedy has happened. It is very suspenseful and haunting. It is great to see how the mother has people that allow her to grieve the way she needs to and not trying to change her or make her better. The daughter’s life that comes to light kind of hints at social peer pressure and the need to be a certain way. It is definitely worth a read.

Taming Beckett (The Playmakers, #1)Taming Beckett by G.K. Brady
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Beckett Miller had the life he wanted, wealthy hotshot pro hockey star who could have anything he wanted. That is until it all came crashing down around a drug incident. Now his team has dropped him, he is sent to a new team, his money is gone and his reputation is a walking ad on what not to do.

Paige Anderson is married and running her own company, lately things with her husband have been fairly one sided. Then she finds out he has been cheating. Beckett himself reconnecting with Paige. She is his chance to get is money back. He wants more but Paige wants a friend, as they get closer can she put her trust in Beckett or will this be another big blow up in her life?

I enjoyed this one. Fast paced story with a strong story. I wondered what would happen with Beckett because he is a hot mess and it takes time for him to realize how completely he has derailed his life. Paige I felt for, she is a fascinating lead character. Great story.

Wow I love this book so much! Becketts life is going down hill. Paige has her own company but is also dealing with personal issues as well. But Beckett and Paige meet (again) when they really needed one another. The way the author wrote these characters had me in love with them from the very start. Beckett may seem reckless but I love him! The way this book took ahold of me, is unreal. This book is emotional and heartbreaking but it’s also full of love and positivity. People can do better if they really want too! Just because someone made a few bad decisions doesn’t mean they’re a bad person! This is the first book by G.K. Brady and I didn’t realize this was part of a series, so I can’t wait to read more! Highly highly recommend!!!!!!

Degrees of Innocence: Dark Mafia Romance (Cruel Deceptions Book 1) By Via Mari – Review by Ashley Sugar

Degrees of Innocence (Prestian Series, #1)Degrees of Innocence by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Kate and chase have sparks flying from the very first interaction. The connection, the spark, the lust…it’s so intense! Kate doesn’t realize who Chase really is until later, but that doesn’t stop her from wanting him. He’s her boss at work but he’s also her boss when it comes to the bedroom 😉 Kate is inexperienced but that doesn’t stop her. She wants to learn and play and Chase is down to teach her everything sexual. The spice in this book is mouth watering! I can’t get enough of it. I love a romance book with awesome smutty scenes, but it also has to have a great story with it. I need that connection between the characters to really FEEL, and that’s what I got. Chase is also insanely sweet and you can tell how deeply he feels for Kate. He takes care of her in every single way. He notices the small things and that’s what gets Kate’s head spinning and heart thumping. She was doubting herself having a relationship with someone she works FOR, but she can’t stop what she’s feeling..and Chase reassures her everything will be okay. Chase has her interests in mind and he’s her protector. Simply perfect. Kate thinks his security is a bit overbearing but that’s just his way of showing he wants her to be safe, always. I LOOOOOOVE the characters, I love the plot, I just loved this book so much!!! I couldn’t put it down and read it in one sitting. Highly recommend!

I Love You Today (Trading Heartbeats Trilogy Book 2) by Julie Navickas – Review by Elizabeth Sanchez

I Love You Today (The Trading Heartbeats Trilogy Book 2)I Love You Today by Julie Navickas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I Love you Today is the 2nd book in the Trading Heartbeats series. It should be read in order because there is a lot of back story. It probably could be read alone, but you won’t have the full details of the character’s relationships. I loved this book! Casey and Austin are both great characters. I love that Casey is a klutz and not a perfect cookie cutter girl. She is a down to earth, every day girl, and Austin is pretty cool too for how rich his family is. I can’t believe what he did to Casey but I was happy with their ending. The ending of the book on the other hand, not cool… I need to know what happens next and read Lauren and Mitch’s story. Please be quick with writing and publishing it!
But seriously I love this book and series. It is clean but cute and romantic. Can’t wait for book 3.

My brother and I fought to the death and are now super close and that is what this book reminded me of. Mira and Carl are brother and sister and they fight about everything. If Mira says its black Carl says its white and vice versa. Everything little thing turns into an argument from games they play to what they want to be when they grow up. They really enjoy trying to outdo one another and I’m sure most kids can relate if they have siblings. Great read for children!

Laurel is young, in love, and desperate to marry her hero, Lord Laningham. When her aunt agrees to let her marry, she is beyond thrilled to become his wife. However, before they even leave the countryside for his estate, she starts to wonder if everything will be as wonderful as she has imagined it would be. Surprised to find out that he has a twin sister that has been in the role as Lady Laningham, she finds herself in a struggle to take the reins of her new household. Further complications arise when Lord Laningham is called away to Spain on urgent orders. When nighttime noises begin, and midnight intruders are spotted, she tries to convey her fear only to be met with prejudice against her age. Lord Laningham returns wounded to furth complicate matters in their marriage. Can they survive their first year of marriage together? Or will family bonds win over marriage vows?

I really liked this book. Oftentimes books set in the Regency era are centered around finding love, complications arise, and then their happily ever after ending. This book is the after story of it all. I really appreciated a different insight as to being married in that era and dealing with all of the intricacies of running a household, country gossip, and staying true to vows made. This was a very enjoyable read.
