Kneading a Winning Idea is a children’s book that helps teach about being brave,facing our fear, perseverance, practice , problem solving and never giving up. We follow Ben as he learns through dedication and hard work that anything is possible and that it’s ok to fail because that makes us try harder next time. My five year old son loved this book and we look forward to reading more from this Author. I’d highly recommend this book to children ages birth to eight. It’s a good lesson and helps to build their foundation.

The path to love for Ebun and Noah is anything but simple and smooth that is for sure but this wonderful author takes you on a captivating journey with these characters and will keep you turning page after page. I loved the way Noah and Ebun kept bumping into each other years apart and how Noah just knew right from the start that their was something so special between them. This is a new author for me and I am positive it won’t be the last time I read this authors work.

There is so much to love about this book by this truly wonderful author. The characters are intriguing, mysterious but at the same time fun and the storyline told from two different points of view is really interesting. If I had to pick out something to complain about the only thing I could say is it’s too short because greedy me wanted more!!! LOL I really hope we get to read more about the Men of Eden Cove Manor in the future.

This is the 3rd book in The Winemakers Series. Even though it is part of a series it can be read as a standalone, however I feel once you read one you will want to read them all. This is a historical romance, enemies to lovers story. I love the chemistry between our main characters as they seem to play a cat and mouse game with each other. I also love the fire in Isabel, she is a princess but a princess who isn’t afraid to speak her mind which is refreshing for the time period the story is set in. This story has so many beautiful elements from the characters themselves to the authors amazing writing which transports the reader back in time and describes the places so vividly it feels like you are there. If you like historical romances full of twists and turns, a little danger, a sense of doing your duty and what is expected of you along with secrets and hidden agendas to uncover this book has something for everyone.

She isn’t the typical girl he goes for, but something about her has him intrigued. This was a bit of a fast paced book but it keeps you engaged from beginning to end. As they say opposites attract and these two characters couldn’t be any more different if they tried. I liked the writing style of the author and how the story flowed. The development and growth of the characters was great. If you’re a fan of sports you’ve made a great choice. Tis the season to read a great Christmas story. Actually, I enjoy them year round! This one gave off a bit of a Hallmark vibe, so anyone into those types of shows will enjoy this story. The book is always better than the show anyway!
America (love the name) finds a Christmas town that is severely lacking Christmas. She pairs up with the very attractive mayor, Leo, to bring Christmas spirit to this small town. The town might not be the only thing getting some added cheer and brightness though!

I don’t typically pick up books in this genre, but something about this one pulled me in. I’m so glad I listened to that little voice because even though this is the only second book I’ve read by this author, something tells me it is far from the last. I enjoyed Mark Sutherland’s cross-country adventure and how the author so vividly portrays the locations he ventures into. I felt pulled into the story to the point where it felt more like an experience which I absolutely loved. Mark is a relatable character that you feel like rooting for the whole way through his journey and the flow of the story itself is quite smooth. Get ready for a fast-paced historical adventure where you’ll read about a bit of danger, a few friends, and the ever-famous gold rush! I highly recommend picking this up and getting wrapped up in the twists and turns that is Mr. Sutherland’s life.

I have enjoyed reading the Logan McKenna Series which I have been reading in order starting from the first book. Along the way I’ve come to really like Logan and all of her friends. In this book, we not only find Logan helping to solve a crime but we learn about raptor center where Logan is volunteering. The author does a great job of world and character building throughout the book.
“The Christmas Cove” by Sarah Dressler is a heartwarming and enchanting story that captures the true spirit of Christmas. Set in a small, picturesque town called Christmas Cove, the story follows America, whom is on assignment, as she interacts with the town mayor, Leo.
The characters in “The Christmas Cove” are well-developed and relatable, particularly Leo. Readers will empathize with his struggles and cheer him on as he rediscovers the magic of Christmas.
Alongside the charming narrative, Dressler weaves in themes of family and the power of love. The story serves as a reminder that Christmas is not just about presents and decorations, but about the connections we make with others and the gratitude we express for the people in our lives.
I did have to chuckle that Christmas “doesn’t feel right without snow,” where I live, we are lucky to get rain, no less snow!

I really looked forward to my next book by this author as I have really come to appreciate her writing style. This book was everything I hoped it would be. It was fun, entertaining but had a great story line with a well-developed main character. I was pulled into the story right from the start and could not put it down until I had finished. I loved the premise of the book. It had such a fun feeling to it right from the word go and for me that made it all the more easier to connect with. The author knew exactly how to grab my attention and keep it! This book is everything I have come to expect from this author and it only makes me want to read more of her work. The description for this book intrigued me from the moment I read it and I knew I had to give this book a go. This was a new author to me so I really didn’t know what to expect when I started reading. The book was well written and had a great concept at its core. The description made it sound like the characters only met when they were older so I liked that I learnt this wasn’t the case. I found myself really engaging with the characters. I loved watching their journey unfold as the book progressed. The author tells their story so well and I found the whole experience to be enjoyable. This was a great introduction to a new author and I am looking forward to discovering more.

Another great book by Naomi Valkyrie! A short, quick read that I was able to finish in one evening. It didn’t feel rushed. I liked the two povs. You could really get to know both Lucifer and Mordecai better. Full of mystery, m/m romance, humor and supernatural, I was definitely impressed. I recommend this fast read.

Christmas Cove by Sarah Dressler is a fun contemporary feel-good holiday romance tale. Sarah is a new author to me and I was pleasantly surprised. It is a wonderful small-town romance with lots of feels, drama, humour, and mystery and a little spice. It was easy to lose myself in this story, that I was engrossed in from beginning to end. The cast of many eclectic and quirky characters had me laughing, cringing and loving them all. Sarah has done a great job writing them and bringing them to life. What better way to kick off the season than to visit the small-town Christmas Cove. With a name like that you would think it would be overflowing with evergreens, lights and smells of Christmas. Right? America will do anything for the small town she has grown so fond of and right now she needs to be tenacious, stronger and clever to save it all. What was once just a story has become so much more. This is a fun, entertaining and festive read that will appeal to many. I am looking forward to the next book from Sarah.

Once again this author has put out an exciting learning story. So many things were discovered in this story. Science, siblings, a mothers love, as well as peer pressure. Yes, even peer pressure is amongst the Warbler and Cuckoo. This is such a cute story. It is well written and fun to read to children. So many questions to be answered as well as things to discover. This story is well rounded and complete. The pictures are self explained and cute to look at. I am looking forward to the next book put out by this author.
The Christmas Carousel (The Brass Ring Series Book 2) by K. L. Small. This is such an imaginative read for young kids. Its the 2nd book in The Brass Ring Series and it was so good. Its the continuing story of Rusty and his magic ring his grandpa gave him. The only problem is the Carousel is shut down for the winter. While at the mall with his mom he finds a Christmas Carousel and decides to ride all the different animals. The problem is the Carousel costs money and he doesn’t have any. He takes o the job of shoveling snow to earn money so that he can ride the Christmas Carousel and buy his families gifts. Each animal he rides teaches him something new about the meaning of Christmas. He learns how to budget his money so that he can do both things, ride the carousel and buy his family gifts. Such a good educational read that would make a great gift.

What a sweet, romantic story. I love her name. America is a good name for a strong woman. She just doesn’t quite realize she is as strong as she is. She takes over bringing Christmas Cove back. Leo is okay but he’s not getting much done. I enjoyed their chemistry and flirting. This is a sweet holiday story that is a quick read and will have you chuckling at the misadventures such as an appropriated tree from another county (a minor crime) by some senior citizens and the mayor. I loved the story and the characters. Now we need a story on Pa and Scrooge McCarol.

After a childhood filled with upheaval. he has always had the itch to keep moving and chasing the next adventure, but he has one which has lasted the longest, however the newspaper he is working for has other ideas and so he goes where the news takes him.
Just when he is starting to feel antsy, the editor asks him to travel to a small town in middle America to investigate a story which could be extraordinary if proven, however, when he gets there, it isn’t quite the story he imagined, but it wasn’t a wasted trip as he meets someone who leads him to his next adventure. This is a fast-paced historical adventure which takes you through America and into the Canadian wilderness as you follow the gold rush fever and see it through the eyes of those following it.

Another great book by Heidi Stark. Warning: this book includes graphic violence and sex scenes, and references of abuse/assault that some readers may experience as triggering. I do recommend reading the other books prior to this one just to clarify some of the back story line. This is another dark romantic book complete with suspense… with danger, dramatic developments, tension, raw and gritty details, violence, murder, action, chemistry, sexiness, emotion, and intensity. Angel and her gang are back for another suspense story. Once you start it you can’t put it down because you need to know how it’s going to end, one of the best books I’ve read in this series so far.

Fantastic, steamy and ultimate page turner. Jamacia a college student with lots of sass is partnered up with the most unlikely English partner a girl could ever be assigned. Shes convinced her professor hates her and this decision is the icing on the cake. Along comes Callahan O’Reilly the blue-eyed beautiful football player that has all the girls drooling. Just one look at O’Reilly and Jamacia is Hot all over. She wants nothing to do with any jocks let alone O’Reilly, but there’s just something about him that she can’t quite ignore, and that leaves Jamacia hotter and more bothered than ever.

Jake is on another covert mission, this time trying to help stop a deadly drug ending up on the streets but when he discovers a beautiful girl on a beach and with similar resemblance to Sarah his girlfriend the case deepens and become dangerous for not just Jake but his friend and family.
As more and more is discovered and they are reaching the top of the tree can Jake keep himself, Cody his dog and everyone from the crosshairs of the gang. you will have to read to find out.
This is a great series and although I have read a few books and not all it does detract from story, these books can be read as stand alone and are well written and the story is developed brilliantly. The twists and turns have you on the end of whatever you are sitting on and will have you guessing till the end.
The character of Jake seems rough and ready but in the story you see the loyalty he shows not only to his partner, Cody his K-9 dog but to all the important people in his life and appreciates the struggles most people have. I always love a flawed hero and Jake is that with his PTSD from the marines playing a part in his daily struggles. Sarah was a great counter to Jake’s character and the love they show for each other was there on the page.
This is full of twists and turns and offers a sight into the underworld of drugs and gangs but I could not put the story down. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series and will go back and read the ones I haven’t, I forgot what a great thriller these books are.
