I really enjoyed this book. I thought the concept was interesting and the details were woven well. There were some parts that I did not really find were necessary particularly the relationship between Abbie and Ty. Also, I felt the ending was abrupt. While I understood the need for closure in that scene, I felt like the book just ended. I even went back because I thought I was missing something.
Overall, the story kept moving and held my attention. I would definitely read more by the author.

Fool Me Twice by Gledé Browne Kabongo. I LOVED this book .Its my favorite genre so I was excited to read it and I was not disappointed! Its the story of Shelby Cooper who is a very successful Bioinformatic Scientist, mom and wife. Problem is her own family doesn’t know about Shelby’s past and when it comes back to haunt her it can destroy her entire life. One traffic stop later for a minor traffic infraction and she’s arrested for murder and her whole life is turned upside down. She is being accused of murdering her physical therapist and she knows she’s being set up from someone in her past. Will she be able to figure out who is trying to sabotage the life she has now and will she be able to prove her innocence before the wonderful life she’s built is ruined? This book kept me turning pages as fast as I could and kept me guessing til the very end. I can’t wait to read the next great read by this incredible author!
Nik Zosimos is a history teacher in a local high school where his love of history is passed down to his students as it was passed down to him by his grandfather Iasos, over the years, they have shared many a conversation over food and wine, but when his grandfather calls him in the middle of the day and asks him to come over to his house, Nik is a little worried because it isn’t something that his grandfather would usually do. Will Nik be able to rise to the challenge his grandfather has set him and become the latest guardian, or will time be against him? This is a gripping story which transcends time and which you will become engrossed in the twists and turns within it as the characters themselves.

This is the first book I’ve read by Anne. As my first dystopian book I’ve got to say that I’ll be back. Anne has a way of sucking in you into the world she creates.
Rain has been hiding for years. She doesn’t know why she’s helping the man, but she was being nice. Now his wounds are healed. She’s falling for him. The quote I chose for Rain is: “I’ve been cleaning your wounds twice daily for a week now. I’ve been giving you antibiotics, both in the crushed pills and in an ointment I’ve been putting on your wounds. You seem to like the broth more than water, so I’m glad I started giving you that a few days ago. I’m glad you like it.”
Hunter is working far from home. He hears someone calling for help, but when he goes to help she starts screaming worse. He then gets hurt and wakes up in a small house. The quote I chose for Hunter is: “I’m sorry, Sawyer, but I’m not taking those two. This mission is easy, yes, but it’s far. I’m not spending weeks with those two idiots just because you say so.”

Born to fight is set in time where America has fallen and the UNR is in control of everything. Hunter Kane has been trained since birth to be the ultimate soldier. He leads the Resistance. Rain has run away from a traumatic past and has been in contact with another human for 2 years.
I really enjoyed Born to fight. I’ve always been a fan of love stories with characters from different worlds. Definitely action packed and kept my nose stuck in this book. Brittany did an amazing job. I could really picture the story in my mind as I read.

I was in love from the moment I opened this book! My first thought was that it was a very interesting story and I was waiting for the romance to show up and it got me like a smack in the face and I was not ready! Their bond is intense and it reminds me of true love’s connections between a couple! I could barely put it down because of obligations but it was a pleasure to read from beginning to end! Looking forward to the rest of the series!

Born to Fight (Can’t Resist You Book 1) by Brittany Anne is the first of two books in this Can’t Resist You series. It is also the first book I’ve picked up by this author, and I have to say it was enjoyable. This is a dystopian romance that puts main character Rain with Resistance Leader Hunter Kane as they join together to survive the end of America. The premise of this novel is very intriguing, and my attention was grabbed and held until the very end. There is a ton of action to keep you at the edge of your seat, and I recommend giving this book a try. I give this one 4 stars.

Born to Fight (Can’t Resist You Book 1) by Brittany Anne 4 of 5 Stars This is an enjoyable and engaging dystopian romance set in a world which has gone dark and in which America has fallen. Technology no longer works and mobile phones are just a distant memory, the UNR controls everything and people are slaves. Within this world our main characters Hunter and Rain are thrown together when Rain saves Hunter’s life. Despite their instant chemistry and the romance that develops between them, they both have secrets. Hunter Kane is a leader for the Resistance who has been trained to be the ultimate soldier and take down the UNR. Meanwhile Rain had been hiding in a bunker and had not seen another person for two years when she found Hunter barely alive, but couldn’t leave him to die. Rain believes in the Resistance and has dreamed of them for years hoping they were real but she’s worried how Hunter will react when he discovers who she really is. The author has done a wonderful job of world building and her descriptive narrative really brings the dystopian world that Hunter and Rain find themselves in to life. I felt totally immersed in their story and could visualise their world which made me feel engaged with them. Hunter and Rain are great main characters, likeable and relatable and the chemistry between them was instant and led to some steamy scenes. This was a gripping page turner that had me hook from page one, and as it’s book one in a series I look forward to book two.

Fool Me Twice is a psychological thriller about a woman named “Shelby Cooper”. Shelby Cooper is a mom, wife, and scientist that left a shady past and kept the secrets of then locked away. However, what Shelby doesn’t know is that the past and present are about to collide and bite her in the ass, but for reasons she cannot comprehend. This was a well written, nail biting, page-turner. The author, while changing stories among the characters throughout, still made it very easy to follow without getting lost. What I think I loved most was the fact that each character she wrote about had a strong, brave, assertive present, but with each being able to show a loving side, too. One of my favorite characters was actually, Abbie, Shelby’s daughter. She is a feisty, smart, brave young woman. I was glad to hear that the author has created a series around this character and I can’t wait to read it.

This book get you hooked straight away. An apolpolytic world with the duystion theme is really well through out and brought to reality in this book. Each chapter gripped me like the frist I had to know what happen next. Rain she fasanted me and so does Hunter. Rain is extremely strong despite what she been through even helping Hunter. What a women. I enjoyed the different POV from the story it really helped from the different angles.

This novel may sound like your typical mafia boss fiction based on the summary, but the characters and storyline are unbelievably developed. Carson gains so much confidence throughout the book and I was cheering her on from start to finish. Then there is Celeste. She will find a way into your heart; if she doesn’t, then I will automatically assume you have no heart.
Between the love, the hate, and the distrust, this story will have you awake at 3AM holding your breath. If you pick up this book, you will not regret it.

Death under Palm Trees: A Jack and Frances 1930s mystery by Carmen Radtke is the fourth book on the Jack and Frances mysteries. This is a truly enjoyable series and I am enjoying each book that is part of it. With each new book I feel like you connect with the characters even more. It has been great to watch them develop over the course of the four books and it is always so easy to pick right back up with them. The story was an interesting one. I was pulled into it and couldn’t wait to see how it would all turn out. This is a great book that is worth a read.

Tenacious: Dark Billionaire Mafia Romance by Via Mari is the sixth book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series. This is a fantastic series that just gets better with each book. This has easily become my favourite book in the series, although I’m sure that will only last for as long as it takes to read the next one. This book really is brilliant from start to finish. I could not put it down once I had started reading, I was far too engrossed in the characters and their story. This author knows exactly how to create a gripping book. Each one I read is exactly the same and I never hesitate to pick up a book by her. This is a series that i would highly recommend.

I have to admit that I have always been a sucker for a little Greek history and mythology! This book hits both of those in one action packed book! I love the detail of the Greek history that is packed into this quick and fun read. Also, the author, Luciana Cavallaro, has done an amazing job portraying the characters and you feel like you are right there with them in this adventure.

I feel I often start my reviews the same way, and that’s with talking about how the beginning sucked me in. I think that’s what makes me so excited to read a book!! And this book: Did. Not. Disappoint. I didn’t even make it through the first pages of chapter one before I smiled so big I thought it’d fall off my face. I really enjoy a beginning that hooks me and this one really did. This is the 9th book in the Diamond Doms series. This is a Dark Romance novel and is 322 pages in length. This story follows Russell and Gemma. Russell is tasked with keeping his friends wife, Holly, safe, along with her bff, Gemma. The problem with Gemma, is she is a giant pain in the rear. But one he kind of likes. So much so, she makes his dom side twitch. But he cannot lose focus on the task at hand. People could die. This was a great ending to a great series.

Wrong for Him by Christi Barth is book three of the Love Lottery series. This book can be read as a standalone but if you want to get the whole feel of the series and meet the other characters, start with book one. I didn’t but will definitely be going back to read the other two books. This book is Amelia and Teague’s story.
Amelia and Teague have history. He is Amelia’s brother’s best friend. Clearly that makes him off limits. Especially since Alex made him a partner in the inn they are restoring. Teague is really appreciative of Amelia’s friendship, especially while he was deployed. Which is another reason crossing the line with her seems like a bad idea. Can they have a secret relationship and not burn Al of their bridges?
I read enjoyed this book! I really like the characters. Teague fought so hard to fight his attraction to Amelia. He wanted to do what he felt was the right thing, even if that meant sacrificing his own happiness. There was so much emotion packed into this book!

I really like finding new series from authors that I like. This definitely fit the bill. I like the author’s refreshing take on this. as I love any Vampire book regardless of genre. I like how the story line isn’t predictable and that the author makes sure you are glued to the book.
I like how there is a good mix of action and adventure. I am really impressed with this younge adult fantasy. The characters are all believable and relatable. I really cannot wait for the next book in this series. Can she break the curse? What will happen next. I am on the edge of my seat waiting.

I really enjoyed this author’s writing and it was a first time read of their work for me! I for sure will be goin back to read other things they have written. This cozy mystery, was a fun read as well as very well put together. I loved the comfort of the storyline and the characters certainly made it fun to read this!
The mystery was very much more than delightful. I needed a nice cup of hot cocoa to enjoy as I read this in all truth and honesty. Personally I grew up loving the board game named “Clue” and this book was literally the board game for me. As in my mind, I enjoyed playing along the side of our beloved characters to figure out who the murderer was. I was suspicious for the ending, but I can admit I was not a good sleuth and was wrong haha. I loved our characters who were working to solve the mystery under the true investigators noses, and the story time line was really awesome in the sense, as it made things very fun!
The story was very much well put together. It had its moments where the time line fit in so well that I felt I was living in the moments of the characters as they found something out that would and did lead them to the next. The book was a fast read for me, but fun and sweet all in the sense of what I would hope for in a cozy mystery, This one certainly took the cake though! It was very much enjoyed by this reader!
If your looking for a cozy mystery that satisfies your wants and has its own adventurous quirkiness then you need to look no further. It was certainly a fun and delightful read. I had a ray of sunlight providing fun, smiles, enjoyment and even a few gasps along the way! The author did a wonderful job on this book!

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by Ullman. Once again I’m brought into the world of crime. Someone did something to protect themselves.
Cady is a trial lawyer by day and fighting crime by night. Not really fighting crime as it was to protect herself. Shooting a man seven times has its pains. The past may even come back to bite her in the butt. The quote I chose for Cady is: “I felt threatened for my life. I shot him before he could shoot me.”

Forever was first my novel by Ivy Nelson, and I found it rather interesting. This novel was not an introduction to a sadist and masochist sub-lifestyle but a deep plunge. There were certain scenes that I found uncomfortable, but Ivy’s creative writing style kept me engaged. I liked the chemistry between Russell and Gemma- the struggle between head and heart was very relatable. Forever is encompassed with hot off the charts chemistry, suspense, action and mystery.

Born to Fight is engaging, fast-paced, original, and captivating. While not new to dystopian novels, I enjoyed the unpredictability of the plot, the development of characters and the novel’s overall flow. The utilization of the flashback technique gives the reader a better understanding of how circumstances and experiences shaped both Rain and Hunter’s lives and how it affects the decisions made. The novel boasts an overzealous, cruel, and obsessive ruler- [side note: who we all love to hate] who eventually meets his demise at the hands of the hero and heroine. Overall, Born to Fight is an entertaining read.

From start to finish, like the other books of this series I’ve read from the author, this book is entertaining. This book like the others had me eagerly turning the pages to figure out how Logan gets it done. The characters take shape and throw you into the mystery which makes it more fun. This story will have you craving more of the series as the other books have.

So, this was a new author to me, and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this book. I wasn’t prepared to bawl my eyes out, but that is exactly what I did. In fact, I found that it was quite therapeutic in many ways. This wasn’t quite the romantic read I was expecting and but feel like it truly changed my view and perspective on these tearjerker books I tend to steer clear of. I am usually a fan of funny rom-coms but found this book to be endearing in so many ways. I was shocked to find out that this was the first book written by this author because she is such a wonderful writer. Her description was so realistic. As a family member that was watched her mother and father suffer with cancer, she was so accurate in telling this story. I think that’s what hit home the most for me. It was gut wrenching to relive it all over through someone else. But in many ways, this was like a cleansing for me and something that I needed. This book came to me at just the right time in my life. I look forward to reading other books from this author. I highly recommend you read and share this story.

This book was very intriguing. I could not stop reading it. What she endured she stopped being a victim and became a survivor. She finds true love. He also saves her and his unborn baby.
