She has lived in the area her entire life and has come to love these particular birds and has named them all at some point. She had lost her way for a few weeks due to her breakup with Gabe but she is now back visiting the reserve only to find out her normal tour guide has moved to Texas to be closer to her son and her new replacement Caleb the handsome man from Wisconsin. Caleb was a biologist at a reserve in Wisconsin and things were changing so when the opportunity arose he jumped at the chance to come to Laurel. Will things work out for Tasha and Caleb or will she continue to have bad luck in her love life?

Colorful, beautiful illustrations gave me Clifford feels while reading this one. Wonderful life lessons in easy-to-understand ways. Just because Donut knew what he was doing, to little Peanut he came off as very scary. Sometimes being still, calm, and quiet when talking is best. Great easy to read book for growing readers.

Absolutely love Tricia Gardella’s books and this one is no different. Stunningly beautiful illustrations bring Gadrella to life as she helps her fellow witches embrace their uniqueness. Not the easiest of books to read for young readers. While the names are beautiful and unique I struggled with her two best friends names a bit. Perfect Halloween book for all ages.

This is a continuation of the story from mission 3047. Some of the characters we have met before in previous stories and some of the characters are new. This book could be read as a standalone as in this book we get a more in depth look at Sarge himself. Not only his past but also his determination and passion for the role he finds himself in today.
This is a great sci-fi read which has twists and turns, special secret missions, UFO’s, aliens and space exploration. As I said before we also get a deeper look into Sarge himself and we learn more about his story.
This is a very unique story and the author does a great job of building a world that the reader can lose themselves in as well as making characters that the reader can’t help but feel connected to. I love a book where I can lose myself in between the pages and this was a definately one of those.
I look forward to reading more from this author.

Anastasia is a young rabbit who lives in a post apocalyptic world where humans have been wiped out and the animals rule, she lives with her family in a warren which is safe from harm, that is until she goes out of the protected area and is chased by a fox, this nearly sends her into a fugue state, but she fights off the sensation and makes it back to her burrow. Unfortunately for Anastasia, it isn’t her only unconforming behaviour, there are other aspects where she falls short, at least in others eyes, especially when she questions the rules and why they live the way they do, and so she is exiled from her uncomfortable life and becomes one of the Unwarrened.

Being as young as she is, this leaves her extremely vulnerable to the Blessed and their vicious ways, but she does what she can to survive, the first of which is to dig a new burrow, but she has to do it in such a way so as not to attract attention to herself. When she has settled in, she begins to find others who have been cast out and exiled for being weak, sick, abandoned or just lost and she takes them in and builds a safe place for them.

As Anastasia continues to create this safe space, it isn’t without its challenges, especially when she rebels against those who would prey upon her and instead question everything she believed, but will she be able to keep herself and the rest of the warren safe, or will the danger surrounding her lead her to her demise? This is a coming of age tale with a dystopian twist which will keep you hooked as this new world develops.

The story is just beginning and the author has so much more to tell. The story is a real page turner and will keep you on the edge of your seat. This story starts on page one and never lets up. So many twists and turns, a real rollercoaster of a ride. This is a must read series! This author has a way with words that will keep you reading. I simply could not stop reading until the very last page. I am looking forward to see where this author takes this series.

Oh, the chemistry and sexual tension is hot in this one. You could feel that it might distract them from the mission of taking out Lucas. This story was great. I felt it did a nice job of tying up the series and bringing it an end…or did it? (that ending left me hoping for a spinoff…?) Great twists that you don’t see coming. The romance between our two main characters was a medium build. You felt it, they wanted it but wanted to finish the mission. They were very relatable. Career or love? I’ve followed this series from the beginning and it’s been such an entertaining and fabulous series. Drama, romance and lots of good v. evil made for a very intriguing story.

Great read. I was happy to see how Chloe and Joe were doing, off on a well deserved vacation. Liv is really making a name for herself working with Sarge, she seems to be following in her mother’s footsteps and it seems to be a really great fit for her. I really enjoyed the story. The author did very well with descriptions, I had this book playing out movie style in my head the whole time. The concept of the ship “mother” that can cloak, is exciting, and Liv can actually communicate with it. How crazy would it be to meet aliens and see people who have been trapped yet preserved for 15 years! It is interesting to see how Liv has to figure out how to help, Verun and her sisters. And she can talk to her ship, Mother. Love that. Crazy, and fun story with so much detail. I would like to see how Liv and Jay fair.

I have been a fan of this series since the very first book I read in it! If you love suspenseful books with a romantic storyline, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed! It’s great if you can read these in order as there are details that will make more sense that way but if you come across any of them and have to dive in, you’ll be ok and wanting even more to go back to the beginning.

I’ve learned to clear my schedule for the day when picking up one of Becky Flade‘s books as I can’t hardly put them down once I’ve started.

This book is full of twists and turns and made my eyes leak a couple of times. My heart really goes out to Kat and all that she’s been through. Maddi has a heart of gold and I found myself wanting to pull her out of the pages of the book at times. Nate? Well, who wouldn’t want to fall for him!

Gadrella is a cute children’s book that children of any age can enjoy. My six year old son loves Halloween he loved this book. The lesson we learn from reading this book is it’s ok to want change and it’s ok to be different. We have to stay true to ourselves and what we want and believe. The colorful illustrations brought the story to life. We loved reading it so much we’ve read it several times already. My son and I highly recommend reading this book and we look forward to reading more from this Author.

The title of this book is very suitable for this book, not only does Charlie preserve the old historical building but the characters also work on each other and to finally heal from the past experiences. The descriptions of the historical house as Charlie sees it, is definitely unique in how he sees what the potential can be. As for Joy, she just wants to get back to her fast-paced life in the city, however, her staying does bring her guard down. Overall, it’s a very good read.

Wow, this book had me in tears. It’s always hard to lose a loved one, but to have a child on the way as well has got to be hard. That’s what Angie is facing and even though she feels alone she has a great group of friends and family that are there to help and support her in every way possible. She went through a lot of grief, healed and became stronger. Tommy was a total ass when he was first introduced but he had great growth and matured over the book. He also went through a hardship when he and his wife decided it was no longer worth it to be married any longer. While he is trying to figure his life out and what is best for his young son, they move back to Braebeach. Although they had kept in touch after the tragic loss of Angie’s husband they never went further. Tommy still has deep feelings for Angie and would like to have a second chance but is she willing and ready? This was an emotional ride so buckle up and make sure you have tissue nearby.

Set in a world where humans longer exist and animals are either predator or prey and the prey are expected to accept their fate. Anastasia, a rabbit, starts questioning everything she was taught about accepting her fate as prey, and then is cast out from her warren and family for doing so. She then runs into some foxes and trying protect herself, starts to dig a hole to hide in. While doing so she accidentally injures one of them and word gets around about the rabbit that fights back. She starts her own warren and soon others start to arrive asking for shelter. Soon a community of misfits and outcasts come together and decide that they are tired of being prey and are fighting back.

This was an interesting read. I enjoyed the characters very much and found myself rooting for them especially when it came to them fighting back against the predators. I liked that this is told from multiple points of view so you get to know each character a little bit more. I had never read a book where the story was told from the animals point of view but I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the other books in the series.

This is the first book in the War Bunny Chronicles as well as the first book I have read by this author. The cover pulled me in with its beautiful artwork and vivid colors. Once I read the synopsis, I knew I couldn’t ignore it. I dove right in as soon as I could and immediately got lost in the post-apocalyptic world the author expertly crafted. I absolutely loved the fact that there is a map at the beginning as it helps me learn the lay of the land without getting bogged down trying to remember details. One of the biggest wins of this work is the character development. This is a fast-paced story that unfolds at a natural pace which makes the timing feel perfect. The different underlying themes of this book took me by surprise, from societal structure to politics. If you’re a fan of YA fantasy books, this is one that is sure to keep you entertained! I can’t wait to see what else this author has in store for us. I’m on my way to pick up the next book in the War Bunny Chronicles!

Everything about this stunning new beginning to the Hellgate Chronicles series pulled me in. Jocelyn Lindsay is a new author to me, and I will continue to recommend her to everyone. You never know if you don’t give her a try, right? From the eye-catching cover to the line and sinker of the synopsis I knew I had to give this book a try and I was not disappointed. I grew up on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and in a lot of ways I got those same nostalgic feels when I read the synopsis. So glad I jumped in with both feet.
Meg Walker isn’t like everyone one else. She has literally saved the world but when her “duty” was done so was she. Moving away and leaving everything and everyone behind her might have seemed like a great idea, at least it was until now. Twenty-five years have passed since that day when Meg closed the Hellgate, but now someone wants to open it back up. Only once you save the world once it’s easy to do it again. But now all those unresolved issues of her youth are back. Running was a temporary solution that ended the moment she returned to town.
Can Meg finally find closure? Resolve? What secrets will finally be revealed? While the beginning was building up this incredible world you quickly fall in love with Meg, she is rough around the edges, she has some flaws, and her past isn’t all rainbows and smiles. Life has been just that, life, a beautifully imperfect perfect that she doesn’t let keep her down. I truly cannot wait to see what will happen next in this series and will keep an eye out for any news so I can mark my calendar.

The Men of Eden Cove Manor by Naomi Valkryie

This is a supernatural m/m with some romance without the in depth spice and keeping family together vibe.
I loved the spookiness of the manor and the secret behind it. As well as the manner of Mordecia that despite his natural instincts he still seems protective and gentle with Lucifer. Lucifer was brave enough to embrace the adventure and life despite his mothers passing which also brought in some life to the manor despite it starting as vengeance.

I always love dual point of views. Even though this is a dual main character book there are other characters heavily involved. I enjoyed this quick read and was invested in their stories. I would like to read the pov’s to the other characters as well!
It’s also the perfect time of year to read this one! Halloween time frame! Love it! Can’t wait to read more by Naomi

This is the first book in its series even though sometimes it felt like I was reading a second book. This story picks up 25 years in the aftermath of saving the world. Meg Walker has found herself listless and without a purpose since she closed Hellgate and saved the world. She is determined to not return to Bellingham or even talk to her ride or die pals. Allison, Bianca, and Ziya are all gifted but remained behind when Meg left town. When Ziya tells Meg that someone is going to reopen the gate, Meg’s plans to stay away are shattered, and she must return. The story tells of their reunion and the ensuing battles to keep the gate closed. I liked that the story wasn’t about a young person saving the world. I also liked that the story showed what it feels like when someone doesn’t have a purpose. It showed that we are made to have relationships, that we need others in our life, and that we are better together. I didn’t like what seemed like an excessive amount of language. I didn’t like that at times Meg seemed rather whiny. Overall, it was an enjoyable book that I wanted to finish to find out what happened. I also really enjoyed the surprises and twists at the end.

I haven’t read anything from this author before, but he’s a must read from now on.

This is the second book in the Braebeach Rockstar Romance series. Even though it is part of a series it can be read as a standalone. This story is a sweet second chance romance. I’m not gonna lie parts of the book at the beginning had me in tears and were really emotional to read. My heart broke for Angie and everything she went through. I completed felt her self of loss and dispair.
This is a second chance romance which deals with the issues of grief, family, learning to rebuild your life and rekindling love that you thought was lost forever.

Angie and Tommy have a past. During the summer they were together but while Angie wanted something more Tommy just wanted something casual. So Angie makes the decision to leave.

Fast forward and Angie is now married and pregnant and Tommy is realising just what he missed out on by letting her go. Now realising the mistake he made Tommy now has to watch while Angie lives the happiest life with her husband.
Until one accident changes everything.
Now Angie finds herself alone and pregnant and the person there to help and support her is Tommy. As Tommy steps into the role of being a support to Angie what will happen when old feelings start to resurface again.
Is there ever a right time to find love again? And is this the chance that Tommy and Angie need to finally get their happy ever after.

As soon as I saw a new book by this author, I instantly had to get it, without reading the description or any reviews. This is another fantastic start to a new series. I was pulled so easily into the characters and their lives. The connection between the two of them was completely undeniable.
I always love the feel of the books this author writes. They are always so dark and intense. She has such a strong writing style and it is evident throughout this entire story. I think this book has all the markings of a great new series and I am really excited to see what else is to come.

I loved this spooky YA thriller. This is the third installment in the series, but I didn’t know that and it read perfectly fine as a standalone. I’m sure that reading the other two first would fill in some minor gaps but I don’t believe it to be necessary. I love Abbey as a character and her friends are awesome! I loved to see her development over the course of the book and her snarky inner thoughts (that sometimes got said out loud) were amazing. The whole concept of Abbey not only as a character but also as a plot line was done amazingly well. This is the perfect read for spooky season; especially if you are looking for something with a little spook but not a lot of fright.

Mistaken Identity is a well written and intriguing mystery story. From the moment you start reading it is action packed and fast paced. I was easily hooked on the story and wanted to know what was going on.
Even through everything going on with the book I thought the chemistry between the characters really shone through. Their connection was obvious and added the overall tension of the story. They pulled me in and made me want to go on this adventure with them. As the first book that I have read by this author I can say I thoroughly enjoyed it and I am looking forward to the next.

Be My Little Baby is the second book in the London Detective series and it is a brilliant follow up to the first. I think for me, this book is even better than what I expected and that was in large part because of the characters involved. Their chemistry was undeniable. The connection was there right from the start, no matter how much they tried to ignore it.
But the characters and their connection felt like it was in conjunction with the story, not taking over it like it could have done. I was desperate to know how things would play out – who was involved, what would happened. The author really kept me engaged throughout the whole story. This is a brilliant book and a great continuation of what is building up to be a fantastic series.

I enjoyed reading this second chance romance story. This is the second book in the series but it can be read as a stand alone but I encourage you to read the first book as well. I enjoy this author’s ability to pull me into the character’s world from the start. Tommy and Angle are great characters that are connectable and relatable. I enjoyed watching their growth throughout which made the story easy and entertaining to read. They have a great attraction and their story is one you don’t want to miss. Their story is fast paced and hard to put down. Will Tommy and Angle have the life together they so desire or will life keep them apart forever? This is a great story. I highly recommend this book and this author.

So I really wanted to like this one. For me it was too slow moving along. There is a lot of day by day and second by second stuff that I felt was unnecessary. I did skim at times and felt I did not miss anything important to the storyline. There is quite a bit that happens in here so the excess seemed unnecessary to me. I liked the storyline (minus excess) and the connection between these two is wonderful. I like his friends and family. His oldest brother looks to have a good story especially since I already love Neve.

This is an okay story for me but I do love these characters. It has small town charm and some suspense mixed with romance. I was kept turning pages trying to figure everything out.
