Pandora’s Poison by Sacha T.Y. Fortune is the second installment of the Hart & Cole Series. It is a contemporary romance story about Darren and Luisa. Their tumultuous marriage is full of mistrust, jealousy and infidelity. Sacha has written a real-to-life situation that will take you into a journey through this couple’s life and how they cope and interact with the obstacles that are thrown their way. The story is written in an alternating POV which gives you the raw emotion each person is feeling after every scene. This story took me through a roller coaster of feelings and emotions. I also sympathized and related with the characters as a person that dealt with infidelity in her past marriage. There are moments in the story that are so raw that I felt that the story was written about my past marriage. What will happen between Darren and Luisa? I guess I will have to wait until book 3. I highly recommend this book and series, which should be read in order so you can get the back story on the characters. Can’t wait to see what book 3 has in store for Darren and Luisa.

Pandora's Poison (Hart & Cole Book 2)Pandora’s Poison by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Pandora’s Poison is the 2nd book in the Hart and Cole series by Sacha T Y Fortune. I really loved the first book Climbing The Walls, but this was even better. I would not recommend reading this if you have not read the first book.
Pandora’s Poison centres around Darren and Luisa Hart who we are introduced to in the first book, although Kris and Nicole still play a role in this 2nd book. Darren and Luisa are having marriage troubles and are fighting to save their marriage. Most of their troubles are centred around 2 main areas, Darren’s working relationship with Nicole and also Luisa’s affair with Gianni 4 years previously. Without giving anything away, I’ll say that Gianni’s return causes much angst for both Darren and Luisa.
This book is far from your heart-warming love story. It’s a totally warts and all look at marriage and all the things that put strain on a marriage such as infidelity. As much as I’m a sucker for a heart-warming romance, I loved this dark look at marriage, showing just how hard marriage can be in real life.
Having loved the first two books in this series, I can’t wait for the 3rd book to come out to see what Sacha T Y Fortune has in store for us next.

WOW! She did it again!! Sacha is killing me with these books! I loved the second book in this series just as much, if not more than the first book. Again it was a rough start for me but as I kept going the story got more and more intense! I would definitely recommend reading the first book before tackling this one, as it gives insight to the characters in the second book.

In this story we get to see Darren and Luisa’s lives, and how the events in the first book are affecting them as a family and married couple. I love that the story is told in both point of views, this way I can get a feeling for both characters and how they are feeling and what they are thinking.

Luisa makes me so mad. She is irritating and not in control of her feelings. Do you love your husband of 12 years enough to fight for your marriage and try to overcome all the obstacles you have faced together? Would you rather sneak around with the man you had an affair with 4 years ago and ruin any chance at keeping your family together? She goes on and on about how she loves her husband and then when he sticks around even through her infidelity, because he does love her and want to keep his marriage together not only for him but the kids as well, but she continually throws Nicole in his face and then still tries to hide her relationship with Gianni. She doesn’t hide her relationship so much as the relationship is now out in the open, but she keeps their conversations private and to me that is still terrible because of Gianni’s feelings for her.

Darren is not innocent in all of this, but he is still pretty bad off. From the first book we know he is in love with Nicole even though he won’t admit it to himself. It does irritate me that he continually thinks about her and has the nerve to complain about Luisa’s actions. I hated how he kept saying Nicole was the one who ruined his marriage when really it was his own fault as well as Luisa’s and they dragged Nicole and Chris into their mess. In the end Darren gives Gianni a proposition and I am overly excited to see how it all plays out.

Overall this series has been a completely fantastic read. The length of the books kind of threw me off at first but, I promise reading this series all the way through will be totally worth it. I finished this book in 2 days and was devastated when it ended. I will be eagerly awaiting the 3rd book.

Pandora’s Poison is the page turning, second book in the Hart and Cole series. I really enjoyed the second installment in this series, even more than Climbing the Walls. I would recommend reading these books in order to get a full picture of the storyline and to get to know the characters in depth. This series has done an excellent job drawing me in and showing the complexities of adult relationships.
Without ruining the story at all it’s difficult to write a review that does this story justice. The characters are raw and real and the story has so much emotion behind it. I’m truly looking forward to reading on in the series. Pandora’s Poison is definitely a 5 star read and the Hart & Cole series is definitely something you won’t want to miss out on.

Pandora’s Poison is an amazing addition to the Hart and Cole series. It can be read as a standalone but I do recommend reading the first book to have background on several supporting characters. I loved Darren, Luisa, and Gianni. They were all very interesting and had great personalities. The storyline was easy to follow and I literally could not put this novel down. I also had a hard time picking a favorite between Darren and Luisa. They were both amazing in their own way and dedicated to their family even if one had not spent as much time with the kids before. Luisa really is a supermom and I loved reading all the things she has balanced to take care of her family and hide her little secret. Sacha Fortúne has done a magnificent job with this book and I can’t wait to read more in this series.

Pandora’s Poison (Hart & Cole Book 2) by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné is the second book in the series, and I couldn’t put it down. I would definitely recommend reading them in order and not as a stand alone, because it can be confusing. Much like the first book, the characters were very much like friends you want to spend time with and I fell in love with them. The ups and downs and roller coaster of emotion kept me tied to this book until I was finished. I have a feeling this is gonna be a series that makes me sad when it’s over, because I will miss the characters. Even before this series I was in a rut, having finished a great series. Although, this is a new author for me, I absolutely love this series and cannot wait to read what happens next. I easily give this book another 5 stars, and I can’t wait to read the next book!

Pandora’s Poison (Hart and Cole Book 2) by Sacha T.Y.Fortune’ is the second book in her Hart and Cole Series. This is a continuation of the first book so I recommend reading it first if you haven’t already. In this book we get to Darren and Luisa’s story. This story is about these two and the struggles with their marriage and everything else life is throwing at them, choices and trust. I felt like I was on an emotional rollercoaster ride at times. I had a hard time putting this down once I started reading, I had to know what happens next. With everything that has happened, can they trust again? This is an amazingly written story, a must read! I absolutely can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Wow, can these books leave you feeling anymore emotional. I thought Book 1 in the Hart & Cole Series, Climbing The Walls, was emotional but Pandora’s Poison brought on a whole new level. For a better idea of the story and the characters I highly recommend that you read Book 1 first as it will help you completely understand our main characters, Darren & Luisa’s, back story.

This book was once again raw & real and made you completely and utterly captivated from the start, you couldn’t put this book down until the very end. Then even when you have finished the read, it sticks with you for hours later, that’s how you know your emotionally invested in a book, and that you have found an epic read! This author has continued to blow me away with her incredible jam-packed story line, in-depth real, relatable & raw characters that each stand strong on their own and even better together.

I can’t wait to delve into Book 3 Pandora’s Price, just to see how far our characters journeys will go!

This is a book that shouldn’t be missed!

Lord I hate and love this story. It’s sad and beautiful and a big mess. Luisa isn’t a character to like. She has made so many mistakes but Lord she is human. This second book has us in deep. I can’t seem to pick a side most times. Darren is just wow to me. The courage it took to man up the way he did. I am crushed for him. I also feel bad for Luisa but not as much. Most men wouldn’t react the way he did. I hate how life can be so messy. The author really dig deep to write this story. To feel the pain and anguish these characters feel. To know that at any moment it can all come crashing down. I don’t know what happiness is right now after finishing this story. I’m in shock and I need the next book because I need to know.

Pandora’s Poison (Hart & Cole Book 2) by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné is enthralling and compelling. Trust me when I say reading the first in this series before reading this one is a must, otherwise you are missing out on the necessary backstory of the characters that carry over in this story. The characters are complex and their relationship is a little dark and getting into their minds as the story is told in multiple POV’s adds another layer to the intricately woven story. It shows a relationship at its worst. It shows their journey through love and hate, trust and doubts, pain and passion. When is it time to say enough is enough? When is it time to stop torturing each other? I admit I enjoyed this book more than I did the first, even though I enjoyed it. Sacha is good at writing such raw emotions that are equally intense and passionate that draw you in and leave you exhausted as you are encapsulated into their world and relationship. I won’t tell you any of the story as it is one that has to be read without reveal.   I am intrigued to see what we get in book three.

Pandora’s Poison is book two in the Hart and Cole series by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné. This story is just as titillating as book one, where readers first met Darren and Luisa. The extremely high quality that this author creates continues with their story.

Pandora’s Poison is a story of a crumbling marriage, volatile emotions, bitterness and secrets that could destroy. A highly emotional tale that grips you in its extreme intensity. It will shock you. It will anger you. It will intrigue. Finding out what made these characters tick and made them make these life altering decisions became an obsession for me. Sometimes I could not believe what I was reading, and my heart went out to all the innocents in this tale. My heart went out to Darren and Luisa. Where and how did it all go wrong? Stunning to read. Unbearable to put down. Impossible not to love.

Sacha T. Y. Fortuné is an author that will have you hanging off every word and desperate to turn to the next page. A story that you cannot help reading in one go, with elements that will upset, excite and astound. A brilliant tale of infidelity, jealousy, forgiveness and more. The complexities of maintaining a lasting relationship written with such clarity, warts and all I thoroughly recommend. 5 stars.

PANDORA’S POISON is book 2 in the Hart & Cole Series and I strongly recommend reading the first before diving into this story. I don’t recommend this as a stand-alone. I went into this series blind, based on the cover image alone and it has not been what I thought it would be.

This is such a complex story. It is multi-dimensional and complex, just like life, and as we see both sides of the story (it’s told in dual pov) it gave me insight as to what made them tick and be who they are.

This is not a light and fluffy series. It’s detailed and dark as well as refreshing that it’s not the same old “meet-cute, first kiss, HEA” kind of story. This series doesn’t necessarily follow a formula which makes it interesting. I wasn’t sure what to expect and I’m glad I didn’t have any preconceived notions.

I recommend this story, this series and this author.

Pandora’s Poison is book two in Hart and Cole series by Sacha Fortune. This series is amazing and is a must read. I was so excited to read the book and was not disappointed. Book 2 you get to learn more about Darren and Luisa. I was really surprised how much I ended up liking Darren. His Charter is really great. Him and his wife Luisa are having a ruff relationship with some issues and he is being wonderful and trying to work things out although he’s far from perfect I feel Luisa is lucky to have him. Luisa has been a stay at home mom for a few years and Darren is a workaholic so she was taking care of 3 kids on her own and dealing with some issues herself and not having her husband around played a big role in the way things played. This amazing series will keep you engrossed and you wont be able to stop reading!! I can not wait to read book 3!!!! So many amazing people in her books I don’t want this Series to end she could write 12 books in this series and no one would be tired of reading about them. The only issue with Pandora’s Poison ending is having to wait for book 3 to come out 🙂

Once again, this author has left me at a loss for words! Pandora’s Poison is the second book in the Hart & Cole series, a series that absolutely must be read in order, this book cannot be read as a standalone.

Just like the first book this one is captivating, addicting, raw, emotional, heart-wrenching, soul-sucking and just unbelievably phenomenal! I’ve never had a book affect me in quite the way that this one has, I have felt so invested in these characters from the beginning as the story is written with so much detail that it feels like I’m right with there with them every step of the way.

This author has quickly made her way to the top of my list of favorites so quickly and I honestly couldn’t recommend this series enough! It’s one of the best I’ve EVER read, I cannot wait to dive into book 3 as soon as possible to find out how everything will play out!

I must preface this review with my absolute warning that you can’t truly appreciate this novel for all its glory if you haven’t read the first book in the Hart & Cole series, Climbing The Walls. Now here is why… Have you ever wanted to know what was going on in the minds of your friends or neighbors that were falling apart or going through a difficult time? (Or heck let’s just be honest, we can all be a bit snoopy sometimes and just want to know the juicy details because our lives get boring right?) Well Sacha T.Y. Fortune gives you a front row seat to this in her Hart and Cole books. Climbing The Walls hooked me and I have been addicted since. That was a debut novel!!

Fortune can really pour emotion onto a page, I felt it drip off the words as I read them, and often was right there with the characters. I loved every moment from the good to the bad and back again. Of course things continue to be interesting and there are more twists and turns than I had anticipated yet. I am highly anticipating book three, Pandora’s Price! I know I will be first in line to add it to my collection! Thanks for another great escape Ms. Fortune!

Pandora’s Poison is the second book in Sacha T.Y. Fortune’s Hart & Cole series. I waited for it impatiently as we were introduced to the mains of this book already in the first one and it wetted my appetite! You absolutely must read the series in order as you will not know the background if you just go willy-nilly to the second book, or gosh forbid you start with the third when you chance picking up the series when the third one is out! Listen to the reason and start from the beginning!
Pandora’s Poison is the story of Luisa and Darren, they reached a breaking point at the end of the first book and now it will all be laid bare in front of us … the way the writer pulls us into this intricate web of relationships … the emotions you will be drowning in … the heartbreak you will feel …. The writer has given us a glimpse into the darker side of a relationship. As she says herself in the synopsis “A marriage is not a happy ending; it’s a beginning of so much more to come”, she is giving us that more … the infidelity, the insecurity, the doubt …
We might not like Luisa and Darren’s story at times but it is real and I cannot wait to see how it ends! The third book, cannot wait!

This is a compelling series and very gritty and shows us the true side of love and relationships the darker side that most novels won’t cover. Darren and Luisa are characters that you will get so deep with that you hear them tell their story, you don’t just read something on the page. Pandora’s Poison was a great 5 star read and book two in the Hart & Cole series.
I was so excited to get my hands on this book and I wasn’t disappointed.

We continue the story from book one, which I highly suggest you read first.
Darren and Luisa are working on some serious problems. Darren is trying to keep his family together but Luisa just isn’t convinced they can make it work. She has to make some choices that could help her in the long run but will they be the right ones?

Can they make things work or will they end up in divorce?

We get different POV’s which brings you into the story even more, you feel the emotions that they are each having. We see a lot more of Luisa in this book and we get some answers to her actions that caused their problems. Is Darren really the victim?

I really liked both characters although Darren at times rubbed me the wrong way, especially with the way he would talk to Luisa. My emotions were all over the place once again. Sacha T. Y. Fortuné pulled me right in and now I can’t wait for the next book in the series. Overall this is a great series that I highly suggest.

Pandora’s Poison (Hart & Cole Book 2) by Sacha T.Y. Fortune. This is a contemporary romance and it’s soooo good. I knew the minute I read the first book I was going to love Ms. Fortune’s writing and I’m hooked. This is the story of Darren & Luisa who you meet in the first book. This is the story of a marriage and all the things that can tear a marriage apart; lies, betrayal, ego. It’s also about trying to mend the marriage once all of these things take place. Darren thought he had forgiven Luisa until Gianni comes back into the picture wanting a relationship with the daughter Darren has raised. Darren has every right to wonder if that’s all he’s really back for. Darren doesn’t know if he’s strong enough to go thru all of this again. He’s had his heart broken before and doesn’t want to go down that road again. Darren is a workaholic but he loves his family. Trust me, don’t start this book until you’ve read book one so you will have more of a back story on Darren & Luisa. I can’t wait to read book 3!

Pandora’s Poison by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné is the second book in the Hart & Cole series. I liked the first book in this series and knew this one should be as good at the very least. But I think I ended up liking this one more than the first.

Darren isn’t really the most likable man, he’s a workaholic who doesn’t spend nearly enough time with his family. But he has something about him that just seemed to speak to me. Just because he wasn’t always there it didn’t mean that he didn’t love his family. He actually loved them a lot more than I would have expected.

This is a cliffhanger and I’m anxious to see how everything plays out for Darren and his family. There are so many possibilities and of course my imagination is running wild.

I remember when I read the first book in this series I thought this author is going to be brilliant and I was right! I loved the first book, which was the author’s debut novel, but this one was just outstanding. I was hypnotised by the authors words, so much so that once I started reading life around me couldn’t continue until I had finished! This is a continuation of the first book so it should be read after book 1. The story flowed so well and was effortless to read.
Darren and Luisa had a story that was so detailed and complex that I was completely absorbed by it. I loved that it was told from both sides as well as I felt like I was able to understand them both so much better.
I am so, so excited for book 3, I literally cannot wait to get my hands on it – I have this feeling that it is going to be an amazing read!!!

Pandora’s Poison (Hart and Cole) by Sacha T.Y. Fortune – Review by Sarah Oakes

Pandora's Poison (Hart & Cole Book 2)Pandora’s Poison by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A great read about moving on. Darren and his wife Luisa try to move on from the events of the last book. But it isn’t easy with threats of divorce over their heads. It gets harder when Luisa’s ex lover Gianni returns into the picture. He seems harmless enough at first, simply wanting to get to know Kady But when events escalate and past feelings rear their heads. Can their marriage survive any more troubles?
A great read. Well developed plot. Well developed characters like Luisa trying to do whats best and look after her children or Gianni standing up for himself whilst struggling with his feelings.
However I found Darren too brash to be likeable and struggled to sympathise with his situationso perhaps if this harsh exterior was reduced a little, this would help the reader engage with his character.
I loved the visual detail throughout the novel in the sense of the everyday life with the offices and schools and busy streets with a town full of life and people. Or the colourful nature of the orange umbrella against the rain written beautifully.
The switch between perspectives worked well to display both sides of events and was wel written and easy to follow with their names as headings. I also liked the use of dates and times for subtitles in chapters to show how time had passed and things had changed. Also the inclusion of texts and phone call conversations into the narrative was a brilliant addition, adding to the feel of everyday life within the novel. The only issue I would raise is that the flashbacks to meeting Nicole felt out of place and distracted from the narrative of the present situation and tere was some repetition in places. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

Pandora’s Poison (Hart & Cole Book 2)
By: Sacha T. Y. Fortune’
5 out of 5 stars

The story Pandora’s Poison (Hart & Cole Book 2) by Sacha T. Y. Fortune’ is a contemporary romance book. This is a story that drew me in from the very beginning and had me hooked. I found myself getting lost in the pages reading about Darren and Luisa. I enjoyed reading their story. It is moving and makes you wonder what you would do if in their situation. Their lives and marriage are at the very least what you could call complicated. Issues of trust, jealousy, and consequences make up their world. There is emotional and confrontational dialogue/interactions between Darren and Luisa as well as some of the other characters. There are times when I would be puzzled by the actions taken by the characters and wondered what would happen because of them. The story is told from both of this couple’s POV. As you read each of their perspectives you get to know their characters and the challenges that they face. How do Darren and Luisa deal with their emotions and life together? Read this story to find out. This is a book that had my emotions going on an up and down as well as wondering what was going to happen next. It is also a story that I continued to ponder over in my mind long after I had finished reading. This is a series that I would recommend. I can’t wait to read the next book.

Pandora’s Poison is an amazing continuation to Hart & Cole series. Sacha T. Y. Fortune does a wonderful job jumping right into the next phase of Darren and Luisa’s story. I would HIGHLY recommend reading book one so you can enjoy this story even more. There is a roller coaster ride of emotions. That is the appeal of this book to me as well. I want to keep in touch with Darren and Luisa’s story and what is in store for the next chapter.
