Distant Heart Sounds (Nurse Morgan Series Book 1) by Kate MacInnis – Review by Heather Bass

Distant Heart Sounds (Nurse Morgan #1)Distant Heart Sounds by Kate MacInnis

This is the first book I have read from this author and she now has a new fan. I love a good paranormal romance but this story exceeded all my expectations. This is the first book in the Nurse Morgan series and let me tell you I’m hooked. These characters drew me in from the start. It only took me a little over a day to devour this wonderful book.

Morgan Cutler had a normal life as a nurse but something happened that changed it all. She had an emergency surgery and now she is seeing people she can’t explain. Morgan thinks she is losing her mind but her patience are dying on her and she doesn’t know why. She is thinking it has everything to do with her. Morgan also meets the man of her dreams but he is a doctor. She doesn’t know who to talk to about her new ability. Morgan is shocked when one of her patients has done something evil but can she make things right?

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have read a few books from this author and she continues to blow my mind at how she writes. I have not read a good paranormal book in a long time so when I saw this book I had to read it. This is the first book to the romantically season series and it was a great start. I could not put this book down until the end. It only took me a little over a day to devour this magical story.

Eros is way down the pole when it comes to all the gods. He knows that he has the best powers making humans fall in love. Eros is told to make two strangers fall and love which he took the challenge. Will Eros succeed his mission or will he fail?

I always love enjoy a good academy series. I know you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover but shhhh because I always do. The covers for each of these books are absolutely gorgeous. Maddie Hawthorne is a powerful with from a legacy family. Aiden is a wolf shifter, together their dynamic is so perfect. These books are very well written, the details are flawless. I just love everything about these books.

But the city has become a time bomb, and every day the clock ticks faster—as the creatures pour in and the blight spreads. Dahlia worries she will never be enough to stop the impending destruction. How can she be the answer to saving them all?
Already stretched thin, Dahlia shies away from investigating the Sentinel’s latest murder spree. But the victims’ identities confound her. And the fragile thread tying the postmortem mutilations to Ella Chandler is impossible to ignore. Compelled to unravel the truth, what she uncovers only deepens the mystery. Who engineered the sinister plot? Why does everything lead back to that first case—the one that brought Dahlia out of the shadows and into the light?

Talk about blowing my mind good! When I read what this book was about I was excited because it just sounded so different and exciting! I sometimes have a little trouble getting into a paranormal read unless I’m really in the mood but I definitely didn’t have that problem with this great story! I really appreciate just how original this storyline was, the author definitely hit the mark of a great story with this one. Aranha and Dag will be forever in my mind. Each one truly makes this story the greatness that it is! The storyline was written well and thought out nicely. It’s got a nice pace to it and an easy to follow flow! Go one click as fast as you can I promise you won’t be disappointed! Five huge stars and highly recommended!

I love getting sucked into the fantasy world with vampires and werewolves. This book is action packed, steamy, dangerous and gripping. I could not put it down. Levi and Tasha are great for each other and far more stronger together but has someone else realised that they are weaker when they are apart which puts them at risk. They must find away to shut the gates from hell and defeat hellspawn. You won’t be disappointed with this book.

Piasa (Legends Series Book 3) by Maggie Adams review by Crystal Jimmo

Piasa (Legends, #3)Piasa by Maggie Adams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wowee! Just like her previous books, this author has done it again. She pulls you in from page one and keeps you there all the way to the end. This time this book focuses on Jackson and Delta. It is a great book. I would suggest reading the previous ones first to actually understand what is going on, even though it can be a stand alone book. It’s well paced, and the writing is phenomenal. The entire time it felt like I was watching a movie instead of reading a book. The story in this one is intense as well and keeps you on the edge of your seat. To me this had a opposites attract type feel, but that may just be me. I cant wait to see what book 4 brings!

The Mating Call (Long Claw Pride Book 1) by Brooke May – Review by Roxsanne Lesieur.

The Mating Call (Long Claw Pride Book 1)The Mating Call by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cheyenne is a mountain lion shifter from Long Claw where she is surrounded by her family and beautiful, mountainous scenery, but all she wants to do is live her life on her terms and decide her own fate, so she leaves for the big city to build a career in radio. Lane is a mountain lion shifter from a broken family who has spent more time alone and wandering the countryside with only a horse as a companion and finding work where he can.

One day, ten years after she left Long Claw, Cheyenne is preparing for another radio show when all of a sudden she feels a painful internal tug to which takes her breath away and surprises her with its intensity. Meanwhile, Lane is also struck by a painful pull and he almost falls off of his horse because of it, but when he realises what it is, he reads straight off in the direction it points out.

As Cheyenne and Lane both heed the Mating Call and head towards Long Claw, they are both anxious about what the future holds and whether they will be attracted to the other or clash like two titans. Lane is the first to arrive and is immediately wondering about what he has let himself in for and how comfortable he already feels in this small town, while Cheyenne feels happier than she has in a long time and a sense of belonging she didn’t want to admit to. Their first meeting doesn’t go quite to plan and over a family meal, Lane begins to wonder why Cheyenne keeps her distance and practically runs as far from him as she can, but Cheyenne is worried that the past could be repeating itself.

Will Lane be able to break down the walls around Cheyenne’s heart, it will past experiences stop their future before it can even begin? This is a romance with ups and downs where pasts taint futures and collide with each other to bring secrets into the light, all while exploring the meaning of belonging and connecting with those around you.

Cursed Sight (Broderick Coven Book 2) by AJ Renee- Review by Lauren West

Cursed Sight (Broderick Coven, #2)Cursed Sight by A.J. Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story was amazing from start to finish. A great paranormal tale by AJ Renee that is both original and imaginative. It had the perfect amount of romance and suspense all enclosed with many twists and turns you did not expect in this paranormal tale.
Ethan and Serena are both witches. Serena is a High Priestess and Ethan an Oracle. While Ethan’s powers are new and something he surely needs help to navigate it is one of the reasons that they come together. Serena is very powerful, the head of her coven, and the perfect person to help Ethan expand his powers. When Ethan begins to have dreams/visions of Serena in danger that is when the story truly begins, and you want to stop to miss a thing. While it was easy to warm to Ethan it took awhile for me to feel the same for Serena, but once I did I loved the idea of them and the chemistry they shared. This is witches and magic at its finest, and was all in all a great story.

Why We Don’t Die in Dreams by Debbie Zello is a page turner that keeps you guessing every step of the way. Just when I thought I figured something out, it twisted and I was wrong! I was quickly sucked into it, and I was kept that way the entire time. I love books that make it hard to figure things out, it can be really hard to do. But Debbie Zello does an excellent job of keeping your guessing and guessing wrong. I think everyone would enjoy this book! I can’t wait to read the next part!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a great read by Seelie Kay! I really enjoy the way she writes! Her books are always easy to follow and keep you wanting more. Donovan is a super likable character! He’s handsome, successful and a gentleman! So why would someone want him dead? Even though it may better to keep his secret if he could die. After 2 attempts something has to be done. Trying to find the person responsible is like looking for a needle in a haystack! I have already started book 2!
