Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency, #5)Jumping the Shark by Heather Silvio
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jumping the Shark is the fifth book in the Paranormal Talent Agency Series by Heather Silvio. As I have come to expect from Ms. Silvio, this was a really fun paranormal mystery, with some supernatural elements, politics, murder, intrigue, danger, some suspense, quirky and interesting characters, and of course, a sweet romance.
This book may be a short, easy read- but there is nothing lacking about the content. I was really intrigued about following Barbara through her story- especially considering her involvement in previous stories. I wasn’t sure her ‘story’ would live up to the other books, but I shouldn’t have doubted Ms. Silvio, because Jumping the Shark certainly doesn’t disappoint- in fact this has become my favourite of the series, so far- with only one book left to come! I love how all the books combine to build a bigger picture and things that were ‘started’ in previous books finally begin to/come together in this book. We catch up with familiar characters from previous books, as well as a few new ones- which added an extra element of interest to the story. I really enjoyed the clever mystery and the great tension that Ms. Silvio managed to create in her story. I could tell she put a lot of thought, imagination, heart, and soul into her work- the story is a credit to her writing talents.
This definitely has an original spin on the paranormal romance/mystery theme. And as I have said previously with the other books, that I think that the stories and premise would make a fun television series, too.
I am excited to read the final instalment, although it will be a bittersweet moment!

Thank you, Ms. Silvio!

I’ve been looking forward to this story for awhile, ever since I first read about Barbara Knollman I knew there was more to her than what was being portrayed.

This part of the series has now become my favorite so far and I want to make sure I mention that yes you could read these all as standalones but don’t..Seriously there is an ongoing story going on here and this one has me wanting the next one more than any of the others did.

I love how this author writes her stories and she has now sold me on a genre that I don’t normally choose. I’m not going to give away any of the details in this review, just read it. It moves quickly and I read it in one sitting and was seriously sad that I don’t have the next part in my hands yet.

Loved it and can not wait for more from not only this series but from this author.

The Paranormal Talent Agency is a great series to read from the very first book. Heather Silvio is such a creative writer. She has kept this series fun and interesting. I love this series because it is simple and enjoyable. Jumping the Shark has a demon mayor of Las Vegas who teams up with Liam Collins an angel to catch a being who is fighting to take over the secret paranormal world. In the process of that battle, Barbara (demon mayor) is accused of a murder. Will a demon and angel work together to save their world? Can Barbara be cleared of the murder charged?

Liam is a agent and has gotten her teamed up with Paranormal Talent Agency. Can they help stop the supernatural being? Can she find love by opening up her heart? I’ve truly enjoyed this entire series. The authors style of writing grabs your attention from the beginning and doesn’t let go till the end. Jumping the Shark is the fifth book in the Paranormal Talent Agency series. It can be read as a standalone story, however if you really want to get the full impact of why Barbara’s story is important, I recommend reading the previous books.

Finally! I’ve been waiting to see what was really up with Barbara. You knew it was going to be something good after the build up from the previous books. I can’t really get into specifics or it’ll ruin the story, but let’s just say this book is not to be missed, especially if you are a fan of the rest of the series.

Murder. Demons. Angels. Hidden agendas…just a few things to keep you entertained in this action-packed adventure. ?

I give Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency Book 5) by Heather Silvio, 4 stars.

Barbara is a demon and mayor of Las Vegas. She has done many things to get and stay in this position, and she is determined to stay at the top. Besides her visions told her this is so, right? But she can no longer trust her interpretation of these visions. Plus there is someone in town who will literally do anything to win the election. Can they be stopped and at if so, at what cost? Will her former lover who reappears in her life give her a second chance? Is that what she really wants?

I have read every book in this series and I love how every one of them is completely different, yet has a feeling of cohesiveness. Barbara is a much more complex character than I ever thought before. The other characters are back too, which makes it even more enjoyable. The storyline is also interesting and intriguing. Is the bad guy who you think? If so, why? You will be kept guessing until the end.

If you enjoy paranormal cozy mystery with romance, I highly recommend this book and series.

This is the fifth book in the Paranormal Talent Agency series. This one covers Councilwoman Barbara who is the head demon on the LV area. She has been the bad or almost bad guy in the previous books. In this one we learn more about what makes her tick. Plus we learn about her past with a certain gentleman.

This is the fifth book I have read by this author. The story fits in Nicely with the previous ones and moves along at a good speed. We get to see some characters we know and meet some new ones. Another good story in the series.

This is book 5 of the Paranormal Talent Agency Series.

This book follows Barbara, the demon council woman in charge of running the city council and the paranormal underworld, in her bid to become mayor.

Along the way she faces many challenges, from a threat to her life, to figuring out which side to chose. The evil side with Mark the other candidate for mayor or the side of good with Liam and the rest of the paranomal talent agency.

I really enjoyed this book and how all the characters are brought together and linked.

Jumping The Shark is an excellent addition to the Paranormal Talent Agency series. I have been looking forward to the book featuring Barbara as the main character. I have been curious about her from the start of the series and was very excited to dive deeper into her character. The author did an excellent job on her and the supporting characters. As always I really enjoyed her writing and found the storyline easy to follow. The setting for each scene was also easy to visualize and place myself in as if I were also a character. I absolutely love this series and really enjoyed this book. I highly recommend it and would like to mention that it can be read as a standalone. It does feature characters from the other books but it focuses on a different person and situation with each book.

Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency, #5) by Heather Silvio. This is the 5th installment in the Paranormal Talent Agency Series and I would recommend reading them in order. This one is the story of Barbara Knollman a current City Council member in Las Vegas who is running for Mayor with the help of Lynn Fox her Campaign Manager. Barbara is a Demon who has precognitive powers so she sees someone is coming for her and the other candidates and this in turn causes her to be both target & suspect. Enter Liam Collins a Angel who has asked Barbara for her help to stop a Supernatural determined to take control of the Paranormal World no matter the cost. While Barbara is accused of murder she doesn’t really see a way out of helping Liam and there’s also the problem of him being super cute. Sparks fly. Will Barbara and Liam be able to save the Supernatural world and will they stop the killer in time. Will Liam and Barbara test the “love” waters between Demon and Angel? Read this awesome story to find out!

This really is a great series and this story in particular lets follow the path you finally get to real story, It may be about an election in Las Vegas, but its about so much more.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency Book 5) by Heather Silvio is a short and quick quirky paranormal romance story. This series is unique and original and you really need to read all the books in order. I’ve said it before but I will say it again Heather has cleverly mastered this genre and has provided stories that you just don’t want to put down. There is a well developed plot with twists and turns and Heather’s use of suspense keeps you reading to find out what happens.

Barbara loves the power she has and has forsaken love to get where she is but is she truly evil? Perhaps there is a way she can have it all but can she truly change?

I won’t share any of the details because you will have to read this book to find out but I look forward to reading the next and last book in this series.

I was kind of hesitant to read this book once I found out it was about Barbara Knollman. I haven’t liked her in the other books but I love this story. Honestly, I think this might be my favourite book in this series. The author threw in many surprises that I didn’t see coming which added so much depth to the main character.

Barbara is running for mayor of Las Vegas and it’s close to election day. Something happens which makes her realize that her life is in danger. Grudgingly she teams up with the Paranormal Talent Agency to find out who is after her.

I won’t say anymore because I don’t want to ruin anything. It’s another book filled with suspense, danger, romance and many surprises. I love this series!

Jumping the Shark is the 5th book in the Paranormal Talent Agency series and I thought it was a great read. I was pulled in from page one and it kept me interested throughout the whole thing. This book was about a demon named Barbara and her run for mayor. In her current position she is in control of the paranormal underground in the Vegas region. But a different supernatural won as mayor she could possibly lose that position. On her way to a debate, Barbara learns that the bus she was meant to be on was involved in an accident and no one survived. Was someone trying to kill the people in the running for mayor or was it purely an accident? She decides to work with the Paranormal Talent Agency to try and prove that it wasn’t an accident after all.
I enjoyed this book and thought it was a good addition to the series. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.

Jumping the Shark by Heather Silvio is the fifth book in the Paranormal Talent Agency Series. I have enjoyed this series from the start and recommend reading from book 1 first. This can be read as a standalone book but the backstory to the underlying story would be missing. This book gets finally into Barbara Knollman who is a demon in charge of the paranormal underworld in Vegas for years. She is up for reelection but things are not going as expected. Also, to throw her off even more Liam steps back into her life. He is an angel who has a past with her.
I think the characters are fun and overall this is a lighthearted read. Each story is like an episode so there is closure on a primary story but with an underlying story that is carrying through all the books. I have become a fan of Heather Silvio because of this series and am looking forward to reading more from her in the future.

A great read about change. Barbara Knollman is getting ready for the electoral campaign for mayor. However, things are turned on a head when a bus carrying the candidates to a venue is involved in an accident. With only one other candidate alive, Barbara grows suspicious. Can she prove that he did it before its too late?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Barbara determined but with her doubts underneath. I loved how she was given her time to shine in this novel as a main character instead of on the sidelines. Great cast of supporting characters like the kind Liam or the concerned Lynn.
I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with Barbara’s house with its comfy chairs and tables, using small spaces for scenes of tension and conflict perfectly written. Or the scenes with the accident with the wrecked bus and blue lights so vivid its as if you’re actually there.
Once again, a wonderful example of world buidling with fantasy creatures coexisting alongside humanity with their own rules and laws and societies. A wonderful example of building upon the sequel with more fantasy creatures such as angels and demons and archangels true to their origins and given the respect they deserve. I loved the idea of them having powers and that angels could be ordinary people instead of being descended from gods as usually seen in fangasy novels.
The combination of the demons of fabtays and realism of politics made for a captivating read. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars

The author’s writing is flawless and an absolute pleasure to read. Her storylines are imaginative and her characters creative and realistic.
In book 5 we see Barbara, a demon and very entertaining character team up with Liam, an angel to try and find out what is going on and clear her name! I really liked Barbara and Liam, I thought they worked well together and had a great amount of chemistry! I still love that hint in the background of these stories that something extra exciting is going to be coming along soon and because of this I would definitely recommend that the stories are read in order! By: Heather Silvio
My Rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency Book 5) by Heather Silvio was a fun, fast moving read, that had me hooked!

This series is by far one of my favourites this year. With each book we are following a new character, but the overall goal and plot is continuous. So even though each book has a new MC, I highly suggest reading them in order, or you will miss very important details, especially in this book, as the MC was once the protagonist. Though she showed some promise in the last book, in this one we get inside her head. We get to know why she turned out the way she did, and we get some more details as to what she use to be.

I loved this redemption story, as I always kind of like Barbara, it was nice to get a story about her. We first meet her in book one, and you know right then she was something different, and as the books goes on, you get more and more info on her, but never the full story. So yeah, my interest was peeked more about her than the others. So to say I loved this story is an understatement. It flowed nicely, it had action, mystery, and misdirection. Honestly I didn’t know who was going to betray who, until the was revealed. I loved that, cause it kept you guessing and fully engaged. The ending was sweet, very warming, and it also gives you a hint of whats to come in the next instalment. I’m super excited and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

So to end, as I don’t want to spoil this wonderful piece of fiction, this book gets my super high recommendation and my golden stamp of approval.

Happy Reading

Urban Dictionary defines “Jumping the Shark” as; The beginning of the end. Something is said to have “jumped the shark” when it has reached its peak and begun a downhill slide to mediocrity or oblivion. (For further explanation please find S5E1 of Happy Days)

JUMPING THE SHARK is the fifth and the penultimate episode of the Paranormal Talent Agency. I disagree with title because I do not think this series has reached its peak – I feel like it could be one of those “cozy type series” that go on and on, but I also thought that about Happy Days so what do I know turns out Joanie didn’t love Chachi, but I digress…

As with the first four episodes in this series, this story had a sense of humor about itself, weaved a delightful tale of demons and supernatural underworld and was a quick fun read on a Sunday Afternoon.

I recommend this series, this book and this author.

The story Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency # 5) by Heather Silvio is the next wonderful book in a series that I have loved since I read the first story. This book pulled me in from the very beginning and I found myself not wanting to put it down until I had read the final page. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Barbara Knollman and Liam Collins. Barbara is a demon. She has precognitive abilities that have saved her from an attack. She then finds herself helping out Liam in trying to stop a supernatural being. Liam is an angel. He has gotten Barbara to team up with the Paranormal Talent Agency. Will they be able to stop the supernatural being? Will Barbara find herself opening up her heart to love? Read this book to find out. I loved reading about the additional characters. Most are familiar as they have been brought forward from the other stories. I have always loved books that include the paranormal and this is a very good example of the reason why. The author has created an interesting and entertaining story with unforgettable characters. This is a book I would highly recommend reading.

An Unexpected Sequel (Paranormal Talent Agency Book 4)An Unexpected Sequel by Heather Silvio
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I give An Unexpected Sequel (Paranormal Talent Agency Book 4) by Heather Silvio, 4 stars.

Robin is a minion for a low level demon in Las Vegas. The demon got her out of a bad time in her life and she is grateful for that. Most in the supernatural community know who she works for and avoids her. But she has accepted her fate. Until the demon asks something of her that she cannot do — kill someone named Jackson. After she meets him, she is even more sure that she cannot do it. But what will be the cost of refusing? And this attraction between Robin and Jackson — is it real? Does he feel the same?

This is the fourth book in the series, and if you have read any of the books before, you will remember Robin. I admit, I didn’t really have an interest in knowing more about her. However, once I started reading this book, I could not stop! There is much more to Robin than what I previously thought. But this is not just about her. There is plenty of action also going on, not to mention Jackson is an interesting character himself.

This book fits in wonderfully with the series. It can be read as a standalone, but you will understand so much more if you read books 1-3 first. I highly recommend this book is you like fun paranormal romance with some action thrown in.

Heather Silvio is imaginative and creative in her characters and the story lines that follow them in this crazy locale! In An Unexpected Sequel, Robin Landon and Jackson McKee star front and center stage. The suspense added in holds bar with what has been delivered in previous books, but it uniquely set apart to keep this story entertaining and a page turner. An Unexpected Sequel (Paranormal Talent Agency #4) by Heather Silvio was a fast pace, fun, quirky ride, that had me hooked from start to finish.

The fourth book in this wonderful series, we finally get to see the whole deal with Robin, who was first introduced in the first book. This was a great highlight, and it really changes your mind of her, and the shirt story she’s had to endure. It also brings to light what Barbara really is, how evil, and what her dark plans have bene all along. In saying all this, I highly suggest reading this series in order, as something big happens in the last book, that not only sets the stage for this one, it sets the stage for what nasty Barbara has planned.

Overall this book was the perfect addition. We get old and new characters, and love how this one ties in well with the first book, almost like full circle, but not quite. I’m hoping for more books, because I am addicted to these short but powerful reads. Well written, detailed, and super enjoyable, theres nothing I don’t like about this book, or this series.

So to end, as to not slip up and spoil anything, I’ll leave you with my super high recommendation and my golden stamp of approval.
