This is my first time reading a work by Toya. I am in love with her strong characters and world building! Delilah and Mason are hot, hot, hot! Running has become so hard for Delilah and she NEEDS to take a stand. After leaving Mason before she has no idea if he’ll be there for her again. Mason has wondered how he would continue living without her. The extent of emotion in this book grabs hold of your heart and takes you along on an amazing journey! A must read!

Zach and his buddies are enjoying their final year in high school (for most of them). However, this is a hard time for him and his friends because they going through some not-so-human changes thanks to being shifters. While they are feeling the pull their mate bonds, they are also focused on revenge. They have a hatred toward the vampires since they tore their family apart. Emily has just moved in with her aunt and is forced to complete her senior year at a new school. Luckily she makes friends quickly…but she also catches the eye of Zach. Before too long, secrets are spilled that can put an end to Emily and Zach’s relationship before it even really gets a chance to grow. This book is filled with wonderful characters and the author’s words have a way of pulling you into the story so you feel like you are there. Once it was over, I was left wanting more…so I am looking forward to the next book.
I got grown up Twilight/True Blood vibes from this story. I did really enjoy this book and found the character development that took place over the course of the book really well done. I especially liked the Jacob and Madison character arc. I could tell that the author had considered each different character arc and how the plotlines would interlink, and this was well thought out. When Emily starts a new school, she meets Zach, brother of the school’s star football player and resident bad boy, and his best friend’s Madison, and Danny and Alex who have just started dating. I liked the supernatural element of this story and am looking forward to each different character’s supernatural abilities being shown more in the next instalment.
This might be my favorite story yet! I would definitely read these books in order, especially with this book there are many characters that you will want to know about and understand. I love Lark, he is my top favorite character from the series so far, his pranks and spirit are so beautiful. I am so happy that him and Jaru got together and could build on the friendship they already had. Watching their relationship develop as well as Lark getting a surprise he didn’t think he would ever have for himself was so sweet. The way Soren loves Lark too just makes me so happy. This author is so creative and amazing with the storylines and characters, I can’t get enough. The relationship between Oren, Teviel and Jaru and then the relationship between Jaru, Lark and Soren, seems a bit complex, but it all works and is so beautiful. I can’t wait to see what comes next!

I fell into this series on accident and I’ve really enjoyed the fall. Stumbling onto this series, each story just gets better and better – pulling me in deeper and deeper. So naturally, when I found this book, I had high hopes. I’m so in love with this series, the characters and how each story just yanks you in and ‘Sure as Hell’ is no different. I’m a sucker for romance novels – gender has never mattered to me. It has always been about the story telling and the character development. The only thing I got confused by reading this is I wasn’t sure who I was cheering for. It seemed each character had multiply partners and I wasn’t too sure who’s love story I was reading. But even though I’m not familiar with a multi partner love story – I still really enjoyed the journey this story took me on.

So I love paranormal stories so I was ready to dive into this one, I really enjoyed the plot. I really like the whole moving to a new town trope and obviously, Zach is the first to catch Emily’s eye and things begin, the story is full of teenage drama and honestly, I love it. I really enjoyed the writing and I can’t wait to see what the author does next.
Revelations (Separate Worlds Book 1) By Izzibella Beau
This was a great read. I have read other books by this author so I figured it would be a good book but it was better than my expectations. Zach and Emily come from different worlds but that doesn’t stop the pull they feel for each other. Their senior year comes with it’s own problems but once you add werewolves and vampires it makes for that much more. I was completely drawn into this story with the author’s attention to detail. I had a hard time putting down this book, needing to know what was going to happen next and then at the end I was left with a cliffhanger!! I need to read the next one right now!! I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book.
Sure As Hell (Life Is Hell Series Book 4) by Naomi Valkyrie is my favorite book of this series! Don’t get me wrong, they are all good but this one is the best. I love that Ms. Valkyrie showcases Jaru the main character who happens to be neurodivergent. Jaru’s struggles with indecision, how he approaches challenges, how he cares about other characters, how the characters interact with him, and the support these characters show Jaru is very special. It reminds you of how we all should live to treat others the way we want to be treated. That being different than the norm is okay because those that are will show those normal people a different perspective of life.

If you love werewolves and vampires, then I know you will love this book as much as I did. The characters are easy to get to know and understand. The storyline is one full of twists and turns that will have you hanging on for the next plot twist. Be warned that this book ends with a cliffhanger and leaves you wanting more of the story.
Sure as Hell by Naomi Valkyrie a sure-fire five-star read. This is number four in the Life is Hell series and they all build supremely, you get to know everyone and see them struggle and dip, but you get to see the gain strength in themselves again as well, it’s very well done, you connect so well with the characters, you feel their self-doubt like your own. This series has had such an individual grip, it feels fresh and gripping even four books in. Lark and Jaru have a story to tell, and you can not miss this story, or series they each have a different part of the whole and it’s something that shouldn’t be missed. Review by @saraoxo

Sure As Hell (Life Is Hell Book 4) by Naomi Valkyrie was another great read! I absolutely love this series, and this addition was no exception. This time, you get to follow on the adventures of Jaru and Larkspur, and the tale just gets more exciting. I love the storyline of this series, and this book. The steam and romance is great, but not too much. You get the action and excitement, along with tons of inclusion and fantasy. I also love the openness of this book, as the author talks about Jaru being neurodivergent and it just felt so personal and I think it was all the better for that. This series has fast become a favorite and I can’t wait to read more!

Peaceful Slumber (Soul Connection Book 1) by Nikki Lynn Barrett was a great read! This book was full of thrills, suspense, twist and turns and romance that kept me reading late into the night and made me not want to stop. This is one of the most interesting stores I’ve read in a while. This is also the first book I’ve read from this author, and I was very impressed with her writing style and story telling capabilities. This book left me wanting more and I can’t wait for the next installment to this series!
This is an entertaining tale about what could happen .about ocean life taking matters into it’s own. I enjoyed the twist after humanity drains life from the oceans. It certainly made me stop and think about some of the decisions we make. I loved the title that C A. King has given. Evil Sushi makes you stop and look and the blurb and want to read it. I do recommend this novel.

I really enjoyed this paranormal adventure. It is well written and the characters are easy to relate to. The author does q great job of getting the characters personalities across. The cliffhanger has me gripped and looking forward to the next book.
Emily is new to the school is West Lakes. After moving with her aunt she has to start again in a new home. What she doesn’t realise is that there are people that aren’t who they seem.
Zach and his brother Jacob are shifters. Jacob is a proper playboy where as Zach has no interest in girls until the day he sees Emily.
Shifters have fated mates and Zach’s wolf is screaming that Emily is there’s but what can he do to show her that. With his friends and brother also finding their fated mates why are they bringing the shifters and their mates together now? What is it in preparation for? And what secrets lie hidden that could blow Emily and Zach apart?
I really enjoyed reading this book. I like stories with a bit of paranormal and love mysteries. I also love the sarcastic banter between Scott and Zelda. While some events of the story were anticipated, there were several twists that I did not expect and it made the storyline thoroughly enjoyable. The basics of the story was unique, and made for an entertaining read. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes paranormal and mysteries.

Beau brings a fantasy story to life with magic, love, and “omg” moments at every turn. If you are looking for something that will keep you at the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next- this is your read.
I loved Beau’s detailed storytelling and thrilling plot. I haven’t finished a book in one sitting for quite awhile, but I was so glad it was this one that broke that curse. An excellent story and one that I will be sure to follow along for the sequel.
This book is the start of a wonderful YA series! The MC’s come to life on every page and keep you hooked for the duration of the book – for me it was easy to hear their voices and see them standing before me like a movie. Any YA fan who has a love for a great story will not be able to put this down by the end of the first chapter. Zach and Emily give you the heartwarming storyline, whereas Jacob and the others give you the necessary drama to make everything realistic and have it all come together. Nothing and no one in this town is what it seems to be. The ENDING!! I cannot wait for the next installment of this series. I will be waiting (im)patiently on the edge of my seat until it comes out. Revelations is the first book in the Separate Worlds series by Izzibella Beau. It is a paranormal romance, a coming of age story with shifters, teenage angst, high school drama, and interesting characters. Emily has no idea that moving to a new town will turn her world upside down. She will soon discover that there is far more to the town, and the residents, than she could ever have imagined. So, find a comfy spot and settle in for some shapeshifting fun. There were a few instances where the dialogue felt awkward or stilted, but overall, it was a fun read.

Revelations by Izzibella Beau is the first book in the Separate Worlds series. This is an interesting YA Fantasy story with two great characters right at the heart of it. I was drawn into the story from the moment I started reading by the writing style. The author has created an imaginative story and one that I could picture so easily. Zack and Emily just added to this. I wanted to know more about the mystery that seemed to surround them and see where their journey would lead. This is a relatively new author to me but I already know I will be reading more from her in the future. I enjoy everything about her books and find them exciting to read. I am looking forward to book 2 already.
Revelations is Izzibella Beau’s first book in the Separate Worlds series. It is a YA paranormal tale that is vividly detailed and well written story captures you and you find yourself immersed in from the very start. Izzibella loves to tease us with her dramatic twists and turns that she weaves cleverly into her stories. A town full of the paranormal; shifters and vampires – Zach and Emily are not what they seem to be….. There is more to these two than meets the eye.
Evil Sushi is an amazing start of a new series by C.A. King. The imagination this author has makes her books such a pleasure to read. This book is hard to describe, but it is full of action, adventure, real life issues, horror, sci-fi and mysterious suspense. Evil Sushi by C.A. King is a story of paranormal suspense. It is an amazing thriller that I loved to read. I loved the original story that this came to be.

I loved this book. This is an author that has continued to impress me with her writing skills and her attention to details that make her stories feel realistic. This book is no different. This is the fourth book in this series which I highly suggest reading from the beginning to help your enhancement of this series. I loved being pulled into the story by the characters. This is a fast paced fantasy story that kept me not only engaged but turning pages to the end. This is Jaru’s story. All he wants is to prove himself so he opens up a business until his life sinks back down. He doesn’t have much time for his best friend and starts to question whether or not he is good enough for him. This is where the story takes a turn and if he will save his best friend and their relationship? I loved these characters and what they bring to the story. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I could hardly wait to get a hold of this book. I love this series so much and after reading book #3 I was praying it was these characters that came next.
This one touches a bit more on some different kinds of relationships that are kind of hard for me to understand, simply because I just don’t understand, but the best part about that is, it doesn’t require me to understand as long as I can feel the connections and the emotions and the feelings. I did that in spades! One of the best parts of this series is the connections being built between ALL of the characters, the family feel of this group that amazes me since they all really aren’t supposed to be friends much less like a family. Hard to explain but it’s the incredible job this author has done with everything that makes it all possible and also feel very real!
There was one person in this story that I’ll be honest I had to go back and figure out exactly who he was as he played a short part in a previous book and then roared into this book and quickly became one of my favorites.
This installment had everything from making me laugh, making me sad, making me angry and also feeling physical pain for one of our characters. Oh my gosh I could hardly stand these scenes because they were written so well I could imagine and feel it all.
I’m skirting around names and storyline because I really just believe these must be read in order and mentioning anything will give away a few things from the previous books. You really need to start at the beginning to get the full experience of these amazing characters.
I can not even wait for the next in this series and I pray that this author never changes her style because it is unique and completely addictive.

Not the first book by Richardson that I’ve read. So far The Protector Series is amazing and each book gets better. I hope this series continues.

I thought I had read other books by Nikiki Lynn Barrett, but to my surprise this is the first! I am so excited to have found a new to me author that I like…no that I love! Even the cover is great and I really don’t care about covers!
Peaceful Slumber is a mystery with a little romance, with a little paranormal, with a big adventure! This is a story that I could not put down. I had to know what was going to happen, who was going to do it and why it was happening! Barrett put just enough suspicion in this story that anything was possible.
I love stories that touch on social situations. Barrett has chosen mental health. While it is a very serious topic, her story gives a little hope to those who also suffer. Finding that one person who is your one is hard enough and being anything different makes it even harder.
Zelda is the female main character and Barrett really puts her through every tough situation you could think of. Except Zelda doesn’t remember any of it. Including her own name. Scott seems like the only one that could help her. They are both lost souls who are a little different and they are perfect for each other. However, with so much unknown in this story it doesn’t look like there will be a happy ending.
The storyline is ORIGINAL…at least from my list of books. I really love this story!
I highly recommend this story and can not wait to read anything by Barrett! Since this is the first book in the Soul Connection series, there will be more!!!
This is one book I could not put down. I LOVED this paranormal story between Scott and Zelda. I can honestly say I have not read to many books like this but I am so happy I was able to read this amazing story. The characters of Scott being able to see ghosts and he meets Zelda and to help her is just touching. Wow, I cannot wait to see what the next books are in this series! Its a series full of danger, intrigue, paranormal, witches and romance. Its the story of Delilah who has found herself in trouble. She has spent much of her life running from one thing or another but when she turns down the man she loves because he won’t share his past she is even on the run from him. She’s running from the trackers and they are causing her to run right back to the one person she turned her back on, Mason. This is a new-to-me author…but it definitely won’t be the only book I read from them. I found myself pulled into the story from the first chapter. I couldn’t (or wouldn’t) put it down until I got to the end to find out what really happened. There were twists and turns…tears and relief…suspense and mystery…this story has it all. I enjoyed it and will definitely be checking out the rest of the series.
