Cry Baby (Pierce Brothers Book 4) by Belinda Williams – Review by Jennifer Gordon

Cry Baby (Pierce Brothers, #4)Cry Baby by Belinda Williams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An enjoyable, emotional and engaging read which kept me happily turning the pages until late at night. Although book four in a series it can be read as a standalone story, as each book focuses on one of the naughty but nice Pierce brothers. Having read and loved the previous stories, I was looking forward to this instalment and was not disappointed. Amy takes a live in nanny job but forgets the first rule of being a nanny, don’t fall for your boss! Confirmed bachelor Noah Pierce prefers numbers to people, but when one of his close friends dies unexpectedly his life changes.
His friend has left Noah sole guardianship of her baby girl, Amelia, and so Noah takes on Amy as a nanny. Amy sees Noah as the brooding silent type, but whilst Noah seems determined to find Amelia’s dad, Amy thinks Noah can do a great job as her guardian. Amy definitely didn’t expect to fall for her boss, anymore than Noah planned on falling for the nanny, after all they both stand to lose if their relationship crosses the line from professional to personal. As usual I fell in love with the characters who are likeable and relatable. The chemistry between Amy and Noah really came across in the narrative. The emotional storyline had me hooked throughout, and was a good mix of romance, humour and emotions. A heartwarming story which I definitely recommend.

Cry Baby (Pierce Brothers, #4)Cry Baby by Belinda Williams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was excited when I found out this book was coming out. Especially since I already read the other 3 in the series. Don’t get me wrong the Pierce Brothers books are a series, but Cry Baby and the other 3 work very well as standalone novels. And guess what the author didn’t let me down. Noah’s story is probably my favorite!
I feel like I have an affinity for characters that are portrayed in a way as a recluse. I feel like they grow the most by the time the book comes to an end. Noah fits that mold and then some. His growth was slow but written beautifully.
With the unexpected death of his best friend Noah has been left as the current guardian of her 7 months old daughter Amelia. He has no idea where to begin, it doesn’t help he’s in mourning either. So if you’ve read the other books it’s no surprise that the Pierce brothers come to the rescue, while bringing an angel along with them.
Amy is called in for her affinity for children, and her and baby Amelia immediately develop a kinship. However Amy as much as she wants to help is battling past demons that are coming to the surface based on the situation. Lucky for her she’s good as plastering on a smile and hiding them. Taking a risk and becoming Noah’s nanny becomes a trying task.
Noah sees a lot of himself in Amy, despite walking around as grump and her sunshine demeanor, he can see she’s had a rocky past. That kinship is what brings him closer to her, but is their pasts going to bring them together or be their undoing.
This series is great and I’ll reiterate in saying this book is the best one. But prove me wrong, jump into this book and series and decide for yourself. Trust me when I say, you will be hooked. You will also want more!

Cry Baby: A Grump Sunshine Slow Burn Romantic Comedy (Pierce Brothers Book 4)Cry Baby: A Grump Sunshine Slow Burn Romantic Comedy by Belinda Williams
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This one was a little tough for me. I like the Pierce Brothers but the execution of the story was a struggle. There is a lot of introspection with one character in particular but it isn’t the only one. It just seemed too much and took me away from being in the moment with the story. Honestly I did some skimming during these times to keep the story moving along for me. This one deals with grief and denial for the most part. Sure there is the unknown baby element but it really takes a back seat to the problems that occur with the two main characters. This is listed as a rom com. I really don’t see that maybe smidgens but the darker side overtakes it all.

As stated I do love these brothers and their women. They are great support for whomever the story is about. I liked the breakdown of each of them from Noah’s POV.

I also enjoyed the growth that Noah’s character made. He had hard decisions to make but he did them smartly and I applaud him for that.

Overall this is an okay read for me. Not my favorite of the series but still good.

Cry Baby (Pierce Brothers Book 4) by Belinda Williams. I love this author so it was no surprise that I loved this book in the Pierce Brothers series. Its the story of Noah Pierce and how his life has been turned all kinds of sideways. He is a hard working guy that seems to have a chip on his shoulder. He is much better with numbers than people and he loves being alone so when his best friend passes and leaves him custody of her little girl Noah is scared to death. Enter Amy who becomes his nanny and tries to be his friend. She is trying to break down his walls and in doing so she falls in love with him. Amy is so easy going and loves life so they are totally different but she’s really good for Noah. Noah is determined to find the father of this little girl and Amy is determined to make Noah realize how much he needs this family. Read Cry Baby to find out if Amy succeeds.

Cry Baby (Pierce Brothers, #4)Cry Baby by Belinda Williams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Anyone who knows me knows I like a good rom-com, and I LOVED Cry Baby by Belinda Williams. It’s the fourth book in the Pierce Brothers Series. I haven’t read the first three books, but I didn’t feel like it affected my reading. I think I would enjoy reading the earlier books if this one is any indication of how good they may be.

Amy has a new job, being a nanny. She seems perfectly suited to it because she has a positive outlook on life, and the first meeting with baby Amelia proves she has a way with children. Noah is very different from Amelia. He is single and has no intention of settling down any time soon and is pretty cynical. Yet, now he finds himself a guardian of his best friend’s baby daughter, and this is when Amy enters the picture. He has no clue how to be a dad, and when he meets Amy for the first time, he is at his wit’s end. Of course, these two clash because of their totally different outlooks on life. However, as they spend more time together, and Amy tries to prove to Noah that he really may be a family man, they begin falling hard for one another. Their journey to their HEA will have many hiccups as they each carry baggage from their past that influences their present.

The synopsis of this book just scratches the surface of the story and the characters. There is so much happening between the first chapter and the last one. Amy and Noah are very fleshed-out and complicated characters, and I enjoyed getting to know who they were with each word I read. This is a rom-com with a lot of meat and emotions involved with some added surprises too. There was joy and some sadness, and that is what made the book so good! Williams is a new author to me, and I’m looking forward to discovering her other books.

In a real life event Noah loses his best friend and gains a child in one day. Overwhelmed by his new life, Amy is the perfect addition by becoming a nanny to his now child Amelia. Amy wins Amelia’s heart and she will win Noah’s as well. This story is very relatable in events and the way life can be. Hardships and learning of love and living life. Definitely a good book to read.

Cry Baby (Pierce Brothers, #4)Cry Baby by Belinda Williams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Amy Highgate has what many would call a sunny disposition and personality, always seeing the glass half-full kind of girl.
Noah Pierce is…not great with people. Now, with the sudden passing of his best friend Beth, he is now playing father to a 7-month-old baby, thanks to Bethh giving him Guardianship over her little Amelia. And to top things off for Noah, he must now figure out who and find the real father of baby Amelia.
One thing leads to another, and now Amy is baby Amelia’s live-in nanny. With all the craziness going on around Amy and Noah, can they both fight their growing feelings for one another??

This was a delightful read, and I highly suggest taking some time to read through it! This is the 4th book in the series, and I’m looking forward to more work from Belinda Williams!

Cry Baby (Pierce Brothers, #4)Cry Baby by Belinda Williams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Noah Pierce is one of the Pierce brothers but he’s the quiet grumpy one. He pretty much stays to himself and works more then anything. He loves his life and wouldn’t change it for anything…by choice anyway.
When Noah’s long time best friend passes away I expectedly he is granted custody of her infant daughter Amelia. Noah doesn’t know the first thing about having a 7 month old baby loving with him and needs major help. His brothers come together to try to help
Him as best they can. One of his brother Seth along with his sister in law Victoria stop to pick up Amy on the way. She’s like a baby whisperer when it comes to Amelia. Noah offers her a job as Amelia’s nanny for a few months until she goes back to school and they can reach Amelia’s grandparents.
Noah and Amy spend alot of time together but Noah is very hot and cold. Amy is great for
Both Amelia and Noah. She pushes Noah to do things he might now do if it wasn’t for her. Amelia loves Amy and Amy loves her as if she was her own child. They all seem
To fit into their roles great until that one night Amy and Noah are on a date and Amelia gets sick.
A lot is said and a lot happens that night. Will Amy ever be able to get over what Noah says that night? I thought this book was well written and cannot wait for more of the Pierce brothers.

This was my first book by the author and I didn’t read any of the previous Pierce Brothers Books. I am definitely going back to catch up on Books 1-3!

The story of Noah and Amy is exactly what you would expect from a angsty, grump/sunshine, rom com. Yet, the way the author weaves her storytelling web, you find yourself instantly hooked and enjoying every single slow burn that comes your way. In fact, you find yourself begging for more! I loved delving into the lives of the two and I was rooting for them from the very start, because seriously, how could you not! This book was like a sweet delectable dessert that you want to devour yet savor at the same time. Do yourself a favor, and take a bite!

This book was a fun read. It had characters and circumstances that were relatable. This is the 4th book in the series, but I was able to read it without reading the others and I didn’t feel like I missed anything. I really enjoyed this story and now want to read the others! I love that there was some humor thrown in. A moody guy having to deal with something that breaks his grumpiness is fun and entertaining.

This is my first time reading a book by this author and I really enjoyed it. Noah’s best friend dies and leaves her baby to him. Thanks to his brother and his wife they introduce him to Amy the soon to be nanny. As he tries to find the baby’s dad, he and Amy get closer. I really enjoyed the fact that he is a single dad struggling, it’s not always a single mom so it is awesome that she shows another view. Definitely want to read the first 3 books now.

Cry Baby (Pierce Brothers, #4)Cry Baby by Belinda Williams
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This story was absolutely adorable. It moved fast but i enjoyed it the entire time. This story is about Noah who has a female best friend pass away suddenly, leaving him as the guardian of her baby. Noah has no experience with children and never thought there would be a day where the reality would be him as a guardian but here it is. Overwhelmed by grief and new parenthood, he gets help from his brother and Sister-in-law who bring along Amy to help care for the baby as she has been in search of a nanny job. Noah almost immediately hires Amy as the nanny and things quickly move from there. The attraction between these two was sweet and i really enjoyed the build up and their first kiss. Noah was precious once his softer side was revealed and Amy was easy to love from the very beginning. I think this is more a slow burn romance and in this scenario i really enjoyed the nanny side of it. I did not agree with Noah’s choices regarding the child at certain points but overall i like the way things all came together. I now want to read about the other Pierce Brothers though.

I do have to note that the cause of death for Noah’s best friend was a little triggering for me as my Dad died the same way and it actually caused me to have to stop reading this for a little bit. I wont reveal the cause as its not spoken about until a little bit more in the book but i do hope that authors don’t continue to use this as a cause of death often in future books. That is entirely a personal issue and if i did not have such a personal history with that it probably would not have bothered me as much but that did bring the book down for me a little. It seemed like an unnecessary COD.

The most recent book in the Pierce Brothers series was definitely my favorite one! I have been a long time fan of this author, and with every book that I read by her, she solidifies herself as one of my new favorite authors.

If you haven’t read any of the other books in the series, this book can definitely be read as a standalone novel but I personally enjoyed it more because I knew some of the other characters in the book. I was definitely sad to reach the end of the series but I am happy with how it played out.

The two main characters were easy to fall in love with. I enjoyed watching Noah come to the realization that he is happy being a family man, and watching Amy help him come to the conclusion while slowing falling in love with him. I wish we could see how their future plays out, but in the end I am happy to have read this book.

I love a good strong female roll and this definitely hits all the points of this sweet boThis is my first book I’ve read in this series and it’s a fantastic standalone-

If you love that boss/employee trope this is definitely for you.

This dark brooding single guy finds he’s the guardian of a very young baby after his friend expectantly passes away and has NO clue what he is to do with a screaming infant.

Queue sister in laws bestie who knows a thing or two about babies!

She becomes his nanny–

Little did he know that she would fall for him and help him grow into this dad she knows he can be!

When I decided to read this book, I somehow missed that it is the last book in a series. To be honest, this book really hooked me in and I had a hard time trying to do work when all I wanted was to keep reading. Even though the book is part of a series, I had no problem keeping up with the many characters.

Noah Pierce seemed rude but as you read the book not only do you warm up to him but you start seeing his true self. Amy, the nanny, has issues of her own that really surface in the book, and the author wrote it with such open mindedness that I really liked. And we can’t forget baby Amelia – what a sweet baby.

The characters in the book are relatable. I throughly enjoyed the way this author described scenes and emotions coming from the characters. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did. I plan to read the rest of the series. I’m sure I will love them all.

This is the 4th book in the Pierce Brothers series, but the first I have read. Amy is a ray of sunshine and just what is needed to help out her friend’s brother-in-law, who suddenly has a 7 month to look after. Noah is a confirmed, grumpy bachelor. How is he supposed to care for a baby? Amy and Noah need each other more than they realize. Will they understand that before it is too late? This was such a good book. It was light and fun with some deep parts through it to keep you hooked.

Cry Baby is the fourth book in the Pierce Brothers series and is a Contemporary Romance that once you start reading there’s no putting it down until you’ve finished. The authors style of writing and attention to detail along with fully developed characters make for a wonderful story. I felt like I was apart of the story right along with the characters. This is Noah and Amy’s story, His best friend has suddenly passed away and Noah finds himself the guardian of his baby girl. Amy is a nanny who offers to help him put but finds she’s super attracted to him. Noah is determined to track down the baby’s real dad. Can these two fight their attraction? Can they get their Happily Ever After? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Amy Highgate, a good friend to his sister-in-law, is going to school to become a teacher. Cry Baby is the fourth and final book in the Pierce Brothers series by Belinda Williams. This book gave me some mixed feeling as I was both excited to finally get Noah’s story, but also a little sad to know that it is also the last book in the series and I’m not sure I’m ready to leave the Pierce’s and say goodbye.
Having loved all of Belinda Williams other books, and the other three books in this series, I was excited to have this land on my Kindle. The Pierce Brothers have pulled me into their lives right from the beginning, and I have loved my time getting to know them. This final book belongs to Noah Pierce, and I think Ms. Williams definitely save the best till last.
Noah has been thrown for a loop with the death of his best friend- suddenly becoming guardian to her baby girl. Noah has always been better with numbers, than he has with people. What’s he supposed to do, or know about parenting? He’s not cut out to be a father. Is he? And so enters Amy- the live-in nanny, here to care for the baby. Her sassy sunny nature brings light and balance to his grumpy brooding world. They can keep things professional. Can’t they? You’ll need to read this slow-burn romantic comedy for yourself to find out how everything plays out in the end. Trust me, you won’t regret it.
This was such a fun read. One of my favourite tropes too- falling for the boss/falling for the nanny- with plenty of humour, banter, chemistry, tension, emotion, angst, and sparks to keep things interesting.
Another captivating story in this superb series! Can’t wait to see what Ms. Williams has in store for us next!
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Belinda Williams!

I was so excited to get to read Noah’s story in the Pierce Brothers series. Reading about the previous 3 brothers, it was clear that Noah was the introverted brother who was a bit of a black sheep. Getting to see him opening up and growing was fantastic. I loved that we got to see Amy again, who was in Seth and Victoria’s story. The two of them had electric chemistry from the beginning and it was so sweet how they worked together to provide Amelia with structure and care. I loved getting to see bits and glimpses of the other brothers and characters from the previous series. As always, there is the big emotional twist before the final scenes wrap everything up. It was an amazing end to a fabulous series and I am excited to see what the author has for us next. This is definitely a book series that will be reread again. This story could be read as a stand-alone, but if you can, I absolutely recommend you read the previous books, as all of these brothers are swoon worthy and sexy as all.

Cry Baby
By: Belinda Williams

Belinda Williams is quickly becoming one of my very favorite authors. I anticipate every book from her because she has yet to disappoint me. This is another of the Pierce brothers books. I have read all of them, but this one definitely can stand alone. Amy is on the verge of a life change, she has just been accepted into school to become a teacher and cannot wait to tell her best friend her good news. Before she can tell her best friend, she calls with tragic news – her brother in law has gained custody of an infant and needs all the help he can get. Amy agrees to help him out, but she never could guess what all she was getting in for. Amy loves Amelia and truly enjoys caring for her. However, her boss – Noah, loves Amelia but is determined to find the father of Amelia. While they are working together Amy and Noah cannot help but notice they are attracted to each other. They both want to cross the line between boss and nanny, but really they are afraid of what will happen. More importantly, Amy things Noah is meant to be the one to raise Amelia, but can she convince him that he should.
As with all the other Pierce Brother books, this book contains the most wonderful characters, the ones that you wish were your friends in real life. The Pierce brothers are also the ones you wish were really out there. Each and every one of the characters are very well developed and multi-faceted. I cannot help but recommend this book. I also say, though they are not necessary to read to understand this book, definitely read the other three books, just because they are absolutely wonderful!

What a great addition to the series this book is. Right from the start I loved the characters. I thought they had an amazing dynamic and the complications that come from raising a child just added to this. I think the author has done really well at portraying their relationship.
Although this is the fourth book in the series it can be read as a standalone. It is a well developed storyline that is truly enjoyable to read. This is one of my favourite tropes and the author has done it so well. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and cannot wait to see what else is to come.
