Cry Baby (Pierce Brothers Book 4) by Belinda Williams – Review by Sheri Schrader

Cry Baby (Pierce Brothers, #4)Cry Baby by Belinda Williams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cry Baby: A Grump Sunshine Slow Burn Romantic Comedy is the fourth book in the Pierce Brothers series. This can be read and enjoyed without reading the other books in the series. I have read several books by this author in the past and was glad to pick up another of her books. This book focuses on Amy, who is doing a refresher on her life by going back to school in her 30s, and Noah, a grumpy bachelor who finds himself the guardian of a baby. But, now that their lives have collided, will they see eye to eye?
I enjoyed both characters and how they dealt with some genuine obstacles. As we get older, life gets more complicated, and we have more personal history playing a part in our decisions. This book handles it with a soft touch and a bit of humor. Grab this book if you want a romantic read with a brooding male and a bright female. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

FIRST RULE OF BEING A NANNY—DON’T FALL FOR YOUR BOSS…
Well if I were in her shoes I would find it hard not to fall for the boss.
Cry Baby is a slow burn Rom Com. It is also the fourth book and last book in the Pierce Brothers series. Belinda always gives her readers a great read. I have said it before but I will say it again each book just keeps getting better and better.
This fund rom com is full of sassiness, fun humour, a speck of naughtiness, a little angst, a bit of drama and a lot of passion and flying sparks.
Sparks fly in this tale as Noah a broody non relationship guy finds himself thrust into the role he knows nothing about and needs help.
Amy is a half glass kind of gal and navigating the broody Boss is no problem. Right? She is a professional after all. Right?
I have really enjoyed this series and am sorry to see it end but I look forward to what Belinda gives us next.

Cry Baby (Pierce Brothers, #4)Cry Baby by Belinda Williams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 4th book in the Pierce brother series. I really enjoyed this read. While it was a light hearted romance it also covered hard areas such as death and coming to terms with a loss while being thrown into a situation you don’t expect. I loved the characters of Amy and Noah. Both of them have had traumas in their pasts and they are alike in so many ways that they are the perfect fit. However things won’t be plain sailing. They both have some walls that need breaking down and some lessons on how to let the other person in. The attraction between them simmers from the first time they meet and I love Amy’s happy, bubbly attitude and how she manages to draw Noah out of himself.

When Noah’s best friend Beth passed away he is left with more than just his grief to deal with. Beth leaves him as guardian to her 7 month old daughter. Noah had no idea on what to do with a baby so decides to hire a nanny.
Amy is friends with Noahs’s brother and since she’s between jobs she decides to help out. But what happens when the one rule of not falling for the boss gets broken?
With all the pressure of raising this child and finding her birth father Noah had a lot going on but he can’t stop himself from falling for the Nanny.
Can they heal each other from their pasts? Can Amy show Noah just how much of a good father he could be if he just stops and sees whats in front of him?
This is a beautifully funny story with characters you can’t help but fall in love with

This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites. This is the fourth book in this series which I highly suggest reading as they are just as great as this one. I found this book to be well written and engaging. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into the story from the start. The author’s attention to details brought the story to life. This is a fast paced story that is hard to put down and full of romance. The characters have great chemistry and growth throughout the story. This is a story about relationships and crossing lines. Will lines be crossed and broken? I found myself hoping that there was a happily ever after for these characters. This is a story you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I really like books like this. Books where the grumpy guy has to adjust his life to care for a child. The slow growth of nurturing with the help of the person he’s meant to be with. This book was a quick read and I really enjoy books by this author. I like the chemistry between Noah and Amy.

I have read a few books by this author and I really enjoy her light hearted writing style so I was looking forward to this book and I wasn’t disappointed. I really enjoyed the story and I loved the characters. I really liked that the story wasn’t what I anticipated to be and I love it when that happens. I’ve read about the other brothers in this series so it was great to read about Noah. I loved the slow burn between him and Amy because of their past it really suited then well that they would have this kind of relationship. The author did a really good job of getting the emotions of the characters across, I could really feel it as a reader.
I loved this fourth instalment to the Pierce Brothers series and I look forward to reading more from this author again.

Cry Baby (Pierce Brothers Book 4) by Belinda Williams – Review by Bethany Rollins

Cry Baby (Pierce Brothers, #4)Cry Baby by Belinda Williams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this book more than I expected to. Noah is suddenly placed as guardian to Amelia when his best friend, Beth, passes away. With no knowledge of children, his brother and sister-in-law bring Amy to the rescue to nanny while Noah adjusts to being the primary caregiver. Noah, an internal person who prefers not to engage in small talk has an instant attraction to Amy, who is bubbly and charismatic. The two form a bond and develop their attraction to each other in the closeness of taking care of Amelia and searching for the real father that Beth never disclosed to anyone.
The characters in this book were fabulous. I loved how the author wove in Beth’s storyline and made her a primary character and gave us a glimpse into the mom she was to Amelia for the short time they were together. Getting tidbits of Beth’s story also gave us a hint at the true Noah and what Amy finds attractive in him that others fail to notice. Noah is flawed and fails to understand how
Beth trusted him with Amelia, but you see his caring and giving ways scattered throughout the book. Amy is determined to show him that he is the best father figure for the little girl entrusted to him while she battles her own personal emotions of loss and despair. There are a few topics that could be triggers to some but the author doesn’t get very deep and keeps the book lighthearted even with the sprinkle of darker subjects. There are also a few steamy scenes but I appreciate that these
did not take away from the storyline and were kept minimal.

A sweet send off to one of the cutest romance series I’ve read. The story of Noah and Amy is touching, emotional, and romantic. I loved this story because it was totally relatable. It felt realistic when you look at the issues they were dealing with as they dealt with their growing feelings. It’s really interesting when the antagonist is your own mind. I think that’s what I loved the most. Anything can happen when you get out of your own head. I loved the fact that old friends, like Seth and Victoria, popped in for a visit. I found this to be one of those stories you can’t put down. Every free minute, I had to finish reading so I could see what happened. I definitely recommend this book, and the series.

One in a Billion
By Belinda Williams
5*

Victoria is a journalist. Her career is struggling and she needs to gain access to an interview that will turn her whole career around. Her eyes are set on a billionaire, however, he is incredibly private. Seth is that billionaire in an industry that has taught him how to get what he wants. What he wants is a media advisor who happens to be Victoria. Can they both get what they want? Are they able to meet in the middle? Or are they destined to be apart.
The beginning of this story reminds me a little of the movie How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days. Not the whole premise of the book, rather just the fact that the whole thing begins with the female being not truthful at the start. Seth is definitely jaded about love when the book begins. However, the evolution of the characters and their story definitely was reminiscent. However, despite it being a familiar story arc, I really truly did love this story. Belinda Williams is an author that I have really grown to love and I especially love the Pierce Brothers stories. It was a very fast and easy read as I have grown accustomed to. I can only wait anxiously for the next book in the series. I definitely think this makes a great beach read!

This was a fantastic read! I haven’t read Belinda Williams before but this was a great series to start with!
Belinda allows readers to feel like they are living the story with the characters. The characters are well written and relate to someone we all know! Its easy to get attached, pick sides and live vicariously through each character.
Chelsea is that girl we all know. Bad boys are her style and she doesn’t understand why each one is worse than the last.
Tom is the nice guy that everyone is friends with but never really sees. He’s the genuine nice guy.
So what happens when a friends suggests the nice guy show Chelsea what she’s missing?!? Belinda takes us through every step of the story and leaves us wanting more!

Well Seth is a little different to his brothers that have featured in this series so far but that doesn’t mean he’s not a nice guy too! Victoria certainly has more guts than me with her bravado and plotting – I was cringing in anticipation of her being discovered! A sign of a great author creating great characters when you empathise with them like that! Looking forward to book 4!

Belinda Williams has truly developed a lovable series with the Pierce Brothers!
Each brother is different and each lead female is 100% relatable.

In this book we meet Seth who we know a little about from previous installments but we truly get to know the real Seth in this book!
Then we have Victoria who has a deadline, professionally, and hardlines, personally! Can the two mix?

I love how easy to read these books are but they still keep the readers attention from start to finish! Each character is well developed and relatable!

In the second books readers meet back up with Nadia and Luke who we briefly met in book one and get to follow their second chance story. But are second chances really a thing?
Nadia is fierce and everything in her past tells her to protect herself.
Luke is determined and that includes all areas of his life. So can Nadia and Luke get past their first time and the turmoil that surrounds it?!?
Passion and tension flood this second book in the series and leave readers always wanting more!

One In A Billion (Pierce Brothers Book 3)

Another Pierce brother has fallen and I loved reading how it happened.  From their interesting first meeting they and their interactions were anything but normal or what you would expect.

Victoria and Seth are great as friends. They had amazing chemistry but it was so much more than that.  It’s hard for me to put into words, but they just work.

Seth is much deeper than I expected and not your typical Billionaire and I might have started crushing on him just a bit.

Victoria has her life pretty together, not going to lie, little jealous.  She has a great best friend and professionally things are not perfect but not horrible.

I really enjoyed every moment spent reading and I cannot wait for the final brother to fall in love.

Talk about a series of mix-ups and miscommunications in one book! In the third Pierce Brothers book, we meet Seth, a billionaire tech guy who just wants to be treated like everyone else. Unfortunately for him, his PA is quitting and most of the recent applications keep hitting on him. In walks Victoria and the admin mistakes her for the applicant coming to interview. Seth is immediately intrigued by her and wants to hire her. Unfortunately Victoria isn’t there for a job interview; she is a reporter trying to get an interview with him for her article. She is up for a promotion and if she doesn’t get it before her 30th birthday, she is quitting her job. She admits to him that she isn’t what he thinks and he has her wrong name, she gives him her nickname and last name and he is able to track her down and realizes she is a reported. Initially he is pretty upset, but can’t stop thinking about her. He offers her a job as a consultant and will give her the interview. Victoria isn’t about mixing business and pleasure, but spending so much time with Seth is making it hard. There are still a lot of miscommunications between the two of them which definitely added to the tension in the story. I thought how the characters reacted to the different situations was extremely realistic given the circumstances. It was a well written story and the characters were well developed. Another great Pierce story and we get further insight into all of the brothers, except the 4th brother, whose book I hope is coming soon!

I loved the character of Nadia in the first book and getting to see her shine in her own book was fantastic. She is a hard working nurse who had a one night stand a year ago that had turned into multiple nights, with Luke. That is, until she saw a text and realized he was married. She immediately broke it off, despite his protests that they were separated. Unfortunately for Nadia, her best friend Chelsea is dating Tom, Luke’s younger brother. Add in her house that is slowing falling apart around her, and might be trying to murder her or at least steal her soul, Nadia is feeling stressed to the max. Luckily, Luke is a contractor who wants to work on her house and is willing to put in the extra time and effort to make it affordable for her. Nadia adores the plans he created with the ideas she gives him and agrees to let him work on her house. It was so great watching Nadia get to have her dream home while getting to know Luke better. Both characters had their flaws, but they were willing to admit them and work on them, eventually. These are characters that I would happily grab a beer with or have a competitive game night in. The story was well written and the pacing was fantastic! I am loving this series and I can’t wait to read more about the final 2 brothers and check out the rest of the author’s work!

I really enjoyed this story. We meet Chelsea, a really nice girl with a habit of dating bad boys or just plain bad guys. She is currently roommates with her older brother’s best friend Tom and they have been living together for quite a while, but don’t really hangout or spend a lot of time together. After Chelsea’s latest boyfriend has scammed her out of three grand, her best friend challenges her to date a nice guy and Tim volunteers to be her test subject, as friends. They agree to date for 1 week, so she can see how a nice guy treats a woman. During this time we get to see the attraction between them and how they start to really see each other and get to know one another. Chelsea and Tom have both secretly had crushes on the other at different points, but acting on it was never on the table. As the week continues we see how they begin to push each other to be better and strive for more, while still working through issues from their pasts. I thought the whole premise was so sweet and Tom is definitely a book boyfriend favorite. The characters had multiple dimensions and the story line was engaging and fun! I definitely can’t wait to read the rest of the series and see how things go with the other brothers.

One In A Billion (Pierce Brothers, #3)One In A Billion by Belinda Williams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The author delivers another delightful tale of romance and hijinx from the Pierce brothers. These boys can’t manage to stay out of their own way but figure it out in the end.

Victoria is a journalist who is feeling stuck. She has a major birthday right around the corner and has set some deadlines for herself. 1. Get an interview with the reclusive, highly private Seth Pierce. 2. Use said interview to write a masterpiece to get her a long awaited promotion. 3. If 1 and 2 don’t happen, quit and figure out everything from there. When Victoria’s one shot at getting an interview with Seth goes awry, Victoria appears to accept her fate.

When Seth surprises Victoria by discovering her identity, Seth makes her an offer she finds it hard to refuse. Victoria finds herself with all the access she needs for her profile piece but also finds a growing attraction to the man, not just the myth. When a secret threatens to tear apart the budding relationship, Seth has to make some important choices about maintaining his privacy.

This darling romance is peppered with humor, interesting characters, and a little steam. I wish there were more than four brothers.

One In A Billion (Pierce Brothers, #3)One In A Billion by Belinda Williams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

One in A Billion is frustrating. Of the three books I’ve read in this series so far, probably my least favorite, I still really enjoyed it. The author’s character development again is impressive.
Seth, the second oldest Pierce brother, is a billionaire. One Victoria would kill to write the potential promotional profile piece on. Even if it came down to lying to get in front of the man himself. Little did she know that lie would lead to a whirlwind adventure.
Seth needed a new PA, and when Tori came in for an unexpected interview he was the one she wanted. One problem was he had no resume, no references, not even a way to contact her. Which means he needed to use his computer skills to find her. What he found angered him, Tori was really Victoria who is a journalist at a woman’s magazine. Once calms down he turns his anger into an opportunity I’ll scratch your back, You scratch mine type of deal.
He presented Victoria with an offer she couldn’t refuse. He would give her the exclusive info to write her profile piece, if she agreed to be his publicist to help launch his public profile. Unfortunately just like his other brothers, he never expected she would be the woman who could bring him to his knees.
All of these books are wonderful alone or together. The author lays out a beautiful story for each brother, which would mean there should be one more to look forward to!

Spoilsport (Pierce Brothers, #2)Spoilsport by Belinda Williams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I like Spoilsport better than book 1! The 2nd book in the Pierce brother’s series is a second chance romance. The two main characters I could relate to on so many levels. I understood Nadia and why she is the way she is, because I was the same way. Luke, you feel for him and everything he’s balancing.
Being from a broken home I understand Nadia’s difficulty accepting love. I’ve always been the same way. Nadia is a force to be reckoned with, and doesn’t appreciate her married one night stand, Luke, showing back up in her life. It’s just now he’s divorced and he can do something she needs. Fix her death trap of a house.
Luke, working nonstop, doesn’t hesitate to want to help Nadia. He’s always wanted to restore an old house to its original glory. Nadia’s house would be perfect, unfortunately the stubborn homeowner would do anything to not give him the green light on the job. He also has to juggle seeing his daughter when his ex-wife gives him the chance. Not always sticking to their agreement. Another thing a child from a broken home, such as myself can relate too!
Some people split amicably, others there’s resentment. Anyone on either side of those situations can relate to these characters. The author beautifully writes two of the most stubborn and set in their way characters and progressively moves them towards each other with so much growth it works!
I look forward to more books from this author, let alone series since there are 2 brothers left.

Mr. Nice Guy (Pierce Brothers, #1)Mr. Nice Guy by Belinda Williams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A beautiful beginning to what looks like could be a great series. Mr. Nice Guy introduces us to the youngest Pierce brother. One who is written as sweet but damaged from relationships past.
Chelsea always dates the wrong guy, she’s too nice for her own good. Unfortunately for her she likes the bad boys. I can definitely relate to that.
Bad boys have this confidence that makes them attractive despite how bad they may be for you.
Nice guys finish last! That’s what applies to Tom. At the same time Tom is wallowing in his own self pity from relationships past. Despite all that he agrees with Nadia’s, Chelsea’s best friend, crazy plan to show Chelsea what it would be like to date a nice guy for the next seven days. Being his best friend’s baby sister and the fact he’s attracted to her the next week definitely is a whirlwind for them both.
This is book 1 in a new series but it really feels that it could just as much be a standalone as well. The author wrote some wonderful characters that have been through some painful experiences, in a manner the reader can relate too! Makes me look forward to book 2!

One In A Billion (Pierce Brothers #3) by Belinda Williams

Another fantastic read by the author. One In A Billion is by far my favorite in the Pierce Brothers Series. It’s the third book and about the youngest brother. Seth is amazing and I hope you like his story.

Victoria is trying to make sure lands this promotion before her thirtieth birthday. Will she land herself the interview she needs to make it happen? Meeting Seth throws her for a loop and she isn’t expecting him to be a down to earth person. The quote I chose for Victoria is: ‘I’m sorry, but my name isn’t Kim. When your receptionist mistook me for her, I didn’t correct her.’

Seth is a young billionaire who doesn’t like speaking about it. He’s not the one to brag about it and he doesn’t show it off. Can he win Victoria over before it’s too late? The quote I chose for Seth is: ‘I’m sorry, Evan, but do you mind if I steal Victoria away for a few minutes? Unavoidable business, unfortunately.’

Highly recommended for Romantic Comedy lovers.

Spoilsport (Pierce Brothers #2) by Belinda Williams

Another great read by the author. Spoilsport is the second book in the Pierce Brothers Series. You will see Tom and Chelsea, but this story is Luke and Nadia’s. You will love this book.

Nadia doesn’t do relationships. She does flings, but once a guy starts catching feelings she’s gone. Luke was a fling until she learned that he was married. And had a daughter. Can she learn to let her guard down for Luke? The quote I chose for Nadia is: ‘No. But, actually, that’s not a bad idea. Is there a way I can convince you to build me that deck I can’t afford?’

Luke is the oldest Pierce brother and a divorced father. He has a construction company and loves to build. He learns that Naida’s house isn’t in good shape so he’s hoping he can get her to let him fix it up. When she agrees he does more than knock down a wall or two. The quote I chose for Luke is: ‘Then how’s this? I know you don’t love me. Can’t love me. Choose not to love me. Whatever you want to call it. But I still want to be with you. There. Is that enough honesty for you?’

Highly recommended for Romantic Comedy lovers.
