Becoming HumanBecoming Human by Amy Michelle Carpenter
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It a very mystical story. Of a foxain going to earth. Everyone is different now and humans are different to these as well. I was blown away with how Amy had put all these different creatures together in one story. Kobab has super strength, speed and knowledge and is at a complete loss with his planet on a brink. Each teen from a different world. I love learning about these different worlds. Follwing 3 different characters each from different worlds is brilliant and invited idea. The story flows really well. A highly recommended read.

Secure Boxed Set: Chase Security Series Books 1-3 by R.L. Dunn – Review by Piper Foster

Secure Boxed Set (Chase Security #1-3)Secure Boxed Set by R.L. Dunn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Book 1 Secure Desires

The first book in the Chase security series starts off strong. Ian and Cassie are both very strong willed characters. Cassie life is falling into place when an assignment conjures up past experiences and not good ones. Cassie has been through alot in her life and there slot of backstory in this book. The storyline flows and is well developed.

Book 2 Secure Again
This is the second book in the series. This is a thrilling read and action packed from the start. There are a ton of characters who play parts in this story. It’s a well written experience you feel your best pounding as you walk through with these. Martin is the leading male and going back home has changed him. I love Elizabeth she’s an inspiration character. A few twist and turns.

Book 3 Secure Heart

Another great book by Dunn as part of the Chase security series. I adore Julian and Holly’s they are such characters. Julian having previously made an appearance in a previous book I enjoyed getting to know him more in this one. Each character has thier own unique personality and characteristics . I highly recommend reading this series.

Love Heels!: The TV news business can be murder (PJ Santini Series Book Three) by Lynne Russell – Review by Piper Foster

Love Heels!: The TV news business can be murder (PJ Santini Series Book 3)Love Heels!: The TV news business can be murder by Lynne Russell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book three in the PJ Santini series and follows on from the previous books. This book has elements of mystery and romance to it making it a thrilling read. Depressed, crabby, angry; this is the book to read. Your mood will change drastically as the story progress. Lynne Russell has written an incredibly entertaining and, at times, laugh-out-loud crime novel. I’m looking forward to the next in the series of P.J. Santini, her crazy family and friend. She is also both a TV news reporter and private eye. PJ is the kind of woman that once she is assigned and assignment she is determined to find out the answers and truth of what happened. A must read for anyone.

Fake Fiancé: A Second Chance Office RomanceFake Fiancé: A Second Chance Office Romance by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Amy McKinley has a way of bringing characters to life in such a quick novella. Adeline and Stone couldn’t be more different. This book shows a different way in which Office romance can happen. I like how we got to read from each character POV. Other relationship’s and dynamics are also shown which further impact’s this storytelling. Pasts can have an ugly way of revealing themselves in the most awkward situations. This is a real enjoyable feel good book.

The Dog Thief and Other Stories by Jill Kearney – Review by Piper Foster

The Dog Thief and Other StoriesThe Dog Thief and Other Stories by Jill Kearney
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a book full of short stories and clearly shows the love of animals you can tell these are drawn from experience when reading. This is set in rural America. There is a melancholic feel to most of the stories, with recurring themes of death and long-suffering dogs, but I thoroughly enjoyed the whole book. It makes us aware that domesticated animals have a life and personality of their own and are not just there to fulfil a selfish purpose on the part of their owners. In our daily lives we tend to overlook – by preference or disinterest – a shadowy side of our own society … the abuse of animals. This can be a hard read but says alot about some animals reality.
