Rogue Wolf (Protector Wolf Shifter Series Book 3) by Lilliana Rose – Review by Francis O’Sullivan

Rogue Wolf (Protector Wolf Shifter Series Book 3)Rogue Wolf by Lilliana Rose
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rogue Wolf is the third book in the Protector Wolf Shifter Series. It’s an enjoyable paranormal romance series that is definitely worth reading from the beginning (Shadow Wolf) as it’s a continuous story that’s told through multiple books.

As this book begins, Tamaska is preparing to become a wolf shifter and join Kodiak’s pack. It seems that this is the best way to keep her safe and allow her to be with the man she loves. But it is not a straightforward process, and others in the pack are wary around Tamaska making her determined to prove herself.

This is an exciting book with elements of action and mystery as well as the romance. I particularly like the changing dynamics in the wolf pack as leadership changes, and Kodiak’s approach of encouraging younger members to play bigger roles.

This book gets five stars from me. You should start with Book 1 if you haven’t already read it! Paranormal romance fans will love this series.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is a great continuation of the series and the stories. It was great to get back into the characters I have grown to love and it took no time for me to become invested in them again. This book picks up where the previous book ends, so I would highly recommend reading them in order. This book was just as fast paced and action packed as the previous. I couldn’t wait to see how things would develop as the book went on.
This whole series has been exciting to read, and this book just adds to the excitement. I thought the book was well written, engaging and thoroughly enjoyable through and through. This may be the only series I have read by this author but I will certainly be extending my knowledge into other books she has to offer.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lilliana Rose amazing author who brought naive girl Tamaska into doing her own thing in life and getting into trouble with both vampires and wolves.
I love the fact that Kodiak knows what is going on with the vampires but does not know why they want a human Tamaska but his bond to Tamaska is deep that he was willing to disobey his pack for a love for a human.
See Tamaska, I did not like it so much because at first, I wanted to slap her crazy. She is the type of human that wants to do everything on her own by seeking the supernatural, she knew what was going on but was denied help from Kodiak but the bond is stronger than hers.
I love the characters and the world that Lilliana Rose made for it. An amazing book can’t wait for the Second book.

Marked Wolf (Protector Wolf Shifter Series Book 2)Marked Wolf by Lilliana Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In the 1st book, Tamaska was naive about the situation that she was in with the vampires and Kodiak was risking the pack for Tamaska. Their lives are at risk because the Blood Opal is still stolen and they are letting feelings get in the way to go after who took the Blood Opal.
Now the second Tamaska is avoiding Kodiak because she felt cheated on or lied to, but Kodiak had to. Still here in this second book, she tries to do everything on her own and go after the vampires who stole the Blood Opal but thinks that her life can go back to not knowing about Vampires and Wolves.
Kodiak breaks my heart in this part because of my heart. He chose her over his pack now he is alone and that is killing him. But the protection is important to him but he does not want to break the pack of honor.

Rogue Wolf is the third book in the Protector Wolf series. It picks up where Marked Wolf left off with the destruction left behind by the vampire attack. The shadow clan must rally together to defeat the vampire threat and get the blood opal back. Tamaska wants to become a wolf and part of the pack, but questions arise on if this is even possible. The ending of this book is worth the read and finally, it left on less of a cliffhanger than the rest of the series. I will be patiently waiting for the next book to come out.

The third book is icing to this series. It only got better with each book. Tamaska needs to become a shifter in order to survive the vampires. Kodiak was captured by the vampires. Now Tamaska needs to find someone willing to turn her but there is no guarantee that she’ll survive the change, and if she does survive will she be able to rescue Kodiak? Ready for the fourth book!

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Marked Wolf begins immediately where the first book (Shadow Wolf) left on a huge cliff hanger. Stepping back into the action of trying to get the blood opal back from the vampires, Tamaska’s fear of dogs, and Kodiak’s pack refusing him a relationship with Tamaska due to her being a human. Most of this book focuses on these key issues with a few extras added. Unfortunately, for me it took too long for the good parts in this book and when it did it feels like key parts were not explained. The ending was the best part, but it still felt rushed. It ends on another cliff hanger as well so I will need to read the next book.

Continuing on from the last book’s cliffhanger. And mannnnn danger is Tamaska middle name 🤣🤣 cause boyyy it’s always finding her . She sure is keeping Kodiak real busy trying to keep her safe and her fighting him is not making it any better lmao. Although it’s challenging, I’m super glad the chemistry between Tamaska and Kodiak continues to grow more and more. The author did a great job with writing these characters and building an amazing world. This one also does answer some questions you might have had from the first one. Still I’m going to go back to read the third one again now that I have a better understanding of whos who and what happen 🥰🥰🥰

So after reading the third book.I wanted to come back to read the first. And I’m not disappointed🥰 I got to really see how the characters got to develop from this to the third. It’s funny how She hated dogs and he hated humans.🤣🤣🤣 but ended up together. Opposite subtract, right? Tamaska started out way more headstrong. Even though The author touched on the blood opal, it’s still a mystery to me. So that means on to the next book. I can’t wait to see what happens because this one ends on a cliffhanger.
I recommend reading even though it’s slow-paced it’s still great.

5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I was anticipating this book after reading book 1 in this series and it definitely did not disappoint. I highly recommend reading book 1 first as this story picks up where the first book ended. Be ready for emotional roller coaster ride with shifters, vampires, angst, drama, mystery, spark and sizzle.

Tamaska and Kodiak are back, still trying to find a missing blood opal…knowing that the vampires have it in their hands. Between trying to find the missing blood opal, Tamaska is harboring some angered feeling toward Kodiak when she finds out who he really is…..a wolf shifter..especially after being intimate with him and Tamaska. The spark between Tamaska and Kodiak is truly undeniable, but they need to work together to obtain the missing blood opal before it is to late and it is used for reasons that can be deadly. Will Tamaska and Kodiak be able to find the missing blood opal and Tamaska get the revenge she is seeking when her own best friend was murdered by the hands of vampires? Can Kodiak protect his pack and protect Tamaska too…even though she is human?

This is a great read and I cannot wait to continue this series.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Continuation. This is the second book in the Protector Wolf Shifter series, and picks up in the same moment that book one, Shadow Wolf, ended in. Thus, it is very important to read book one first, to understand the story and not be lost or confused about what has happened and is happening. Once again, told from the dual perspectives of Tamaska and Kodiak as their epic love story continues.
Kodiak with no choice had finally told Tamaska what he is. Due to her childhood trauma of being attacked and scared by a dog attack her fears overwhelm her as she rejects Kodiak and all that he is even when she knows her words were a lie the moment, she said them. Her fear makes her believe that it’s not possible but her heart breaks for him and the distance she keeps from him. Tamaska has one goal, find the Blood Opal, and get her life back to normal. Kodiak, though broken hearted, is determined to keep Tamasha safe while also completing his mission of finding the Opal and figuring out why everyone wants it. Is it just for the money or something else? Since the night of what she thought was a normal event she has been caught in the middle of the darkness that lurks in the shadows, humans oblivious to the constant threat to their lives as they know it. The missing blood opal was just the beginning.
Who will find the blood opal first? Why is the blood opal so important to the vampires, and to the Alpha? While the world was built in book one the shadows continue to come into the light as Tamaska and Kodiak both dig deeper into the theft that uprooted both of their lives. The characters grow and learn to overcome their fears as well as sticking to their beliefs in what the right thing to do is. Giving you some answers from the first book the author makes sure you have plenty of more questions in your mind keeping you guessing and in complete anticipation of book three, Rogue Wolf. I am so glad I impatiently waited for book three to come out before finally digging into book two, so that I don’t have to wait to see what happens next.

I know a book is excellent when I am so aggravated with all the characters! Tamaska was obnoxious trying to get answers and at some times seemed petulant. On the other hand Kodiak was making me mad not answering any of her questions, so she was left completely in the dark about everything. Her new friend in the pack, Ash, also would get snippy and it all just made for drama that was not needed, all anyone had to do was talk! I did feel bad for her when she did have information that could help and nobody too, the time to listen until it was too late. I think this one was my favorite of all 3 books so far just due to all the heartache I felt through Tamaksa when it came to her relationship with Kodiak and her status in the pack.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 2nd book in the Protector Wolf Shifter series and it as a great way to continue the story. This book definately follows on from the first book so I do recommend that you read that first to get a complete understanding for this book.
This is a great read filled with action, adventure and danger. I love paranormal romances and the whole fated mates has always been an element that I love. However this story is a little different with the female lead not knowing anything about that side of things. She didn’t even know werewolves and vampires existed but now she does she doesn’t want nothing to do with them. But unfortunately that isn’t her choice any more. Hunted down by vampires and the fated mate to a werewolf she is getting hunted by both sides which is going to cause a war.
Kodiak is the one forming the bond with her and even those his pack refused to accept her he can’t deny or fight what he is feeling. The problem comes when he has to choose between fighting with and protecting his pack or fighting to protect the person he believes his his mate. Can he do both? What if he pack never accepts Tamaska?
This is a great series and from this book it is just going to get better. I can’t wait to read the next one.

Marked Wolf (Protector Wolf Shifter Series Book 2)Marked Wolf by Lilliana Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tamaska has just had the fright of her life, the man who she feels a connection with has lied to he and worse is what he lied to her about, being a wolf, so with the shock of her worst nightmares coming through, Tamaska turns and runs away, it is too much to process, as well as reeling from the vampire attack, she doesn’t know what to do, or where to turn, so she decides that the one thing she can do is go after the jewel which started this madness off, the Blood Opal, so she heads alone, shocked and angry back to where she saw it last. Kodiak has broken one of the main rules of his pack, not to reveal themselves to humans, but he just did and it backfired, Tamaska has rejected him in the most absolute way, because of fear, but he is determined to keep her safe, but first he has to report what has happened to his pack and fulfil his duty to them, but he is torn in two and doesn’t know what to do about it, so as his minds swirls with his thoughts, he returns to his home to face whatever his alpha has to say.

The Blood Opal is on everyone’s minds and is the key to the mystery of why the vampires want it and so Tamaska heads into the vampires night club, but it is not as inviting as it was the last time she visited, in fact it looks abandoned, but Tamaska has a feeling it isn’t, but as the memories of her last encounter there surface, she pushes them to one side and carries on with her search. Meanwhile, Kodiak is facing his pack and trying to work out how he can have both his pack and Tamaska, but they are not making it easy for him and the internal struggles between him and his pack are straining, as is his connection to Tamaska, but he cannot allow the insanity to rule, he has to do his best for both and once he has met with his team and alpha, he heads back out and follows Tamaska’s trail, while hoping it doesn’t head where he thinks it will.

As Tamaska explores, she realises just what is at stake and is horrified by her discoveries, but just as she thinks she has seen the worst of it all, she finds that it is far from it, fortunately, as she is about to be surrounded by attacking vampires, Kodiak appears as if by magic and comes to the rescue again, but as the danger increases and they have to take measures to keep her safe. This doesn’t last and just as Tamaska and Kodiak begin to trust each other things come to a head and the choice between pack and a mate has to be made, but what will Kodak decide and will he even have time to be able to make that decision while keeping up with his duty to his pack and keeping Tamaska safe? This is a whirlwind of suspense as two factions battle for superiority and action is never far away in this rollercoaster of danger and emotions which will pull you along to see how it ends.

Marked Wolf (Protector Wolf Shifter Series Book 2)Marked Wolf by Lilliana Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Book Two of the Protector Wolf Shifter Series started right up where book one left off. Tamasca is ticked at Kodiak. Both of them want to track down the Blood Opal from the vampires. Both are attracted to each other. Better yet, they seem to be drawn to each other but Tamasca is struggling to understand what Kodiak has unveiled about his true self.

One is human. One is a wolf shifter.

Tamasca’s struggle often felt like a tug of war between her mind versus her heart throughout book two. I love how the struggle and internal conflict was written in book two.

If you haven’t read book one, you might want to do that before finishing up this one so you fully understand the context behind the powerful attraction between the main characters, the hurt Tamasca experienced upon learning of her bff’s fate in book one and then the bombshell reveal from Kodiak after a strange but unexpectedly hot experience between the two. This book delves deeper into the chaos, passion, mystery and excitement that makes this book even better than the first.

I’m definitely a fan of the way the author has created this mysterious plot and the personable characters. I look forward to reading book three to see if it is full of supernatural intrigue, mystery, action, and lots of drama.

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

The second book in the series and it does not disappoint at all.

The author continues to build a world where Tamaska continues to try and retrieve the Blood Opal from the vampires and get over her abject fear of Kodiak and what he is.

Kodiak being rejected must come to terms with the battles ahead, not just to convince Tamaska that they are meant to be but also the battle with the Vampires and that the head Vampire also has eyes on his mate.

Discontent in the pack, blood and death make more than one appearance in this continuation from the first book, completely all-encompassing and keeps you on edge as you are taken further into the world that Lilliana has built for us. The character growth is intricate, as we follow more than one characters emotions. How more than one species can have a hold over the main female character adds another level to the story.

Thank you for sharing your words and I cannot wait to move on with book three.

Marked Wolf is the second book in the Protector Wolf Shifter Series. I liked the first book so much I started reading the second book right away. The connection that Kodiak and Tamaska first felt has gotten a bit weaker now that Tamaska knows Kodiak is a wolf shifter. The problem Tamaska is facing now is how to get the Blood Opal back, she doesn’t seem too into letting Kodiak find the Blood Opal. Overall I liked the story and enjoyed some scenery the author shared. Will this connection between them hinder them from finding the Blood Opal?

Shadow Wolf is a new series written by an author that is new to me. Tamaska is a marketing event planner hoping to make new connections and start her own business. She meets Kodiak when he shows up with his crew to guard the Blood Opal. Kodiak and Tamaska both experience a strong connection to each other. What she doesn’t realize is that there are dangers surrounding her. Danger from Vampires and shape shifters. The question is, why do the vampires want the Blood Opal?
The story is well written and the world building helped to feel connected to the story.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Marked Wolf is the second book in the Protector Wolf Shifter Series. It continues the story from the first book so you should definitely start there. When I finished Shadow Wolf I couldn’t wait to continue the story, and Marked Wolf lived up to expectations!

In the previous book, Kodiak and Tamaska got tangled up in each other’s lives when a Blood Opal was stolen from under their noses. Both of their reputations hinge on getting the opal back as soon as possible.

This is an enjoyable paranormal romance, with a mystery to solve in the midst of it. Kodiak and Tamaska have a lot to overcome, including Tamaska’s fear of dogs! There’s plenty of interest in the social dynamics of Kodiak’s pack, as he has to choose between his loyalty to the pack and desire to protect Tamaska.

This book gets four stars from me. If you enjoy paranormal romance with shifters/werewolves and vampires, you’ll love this series!

I have come to really love this author’s books and series. I really love paranormal romance with a good mix of drama. I really enjoyed how the author was able to bring the characters to life and just grab the reader into it. I felt as though I was right in the midst of the drama going on. I really could not wait to see how things were going to progress and how it would come out. The storyline really flows and was so unique. I was on the edge of my chair.

The whole sort of forbidden or enemy type romance really added to the book. I like how there are more events that are able to help the flow of the story. The characters really have a unique chemistry. I was so at my wits end as the drama added to it. I really cannot wait to read more from this author and series.

More than just a paranormal romance
The third book in the Protector Wolf Shifter series has Tamaska fending for herself as Kodiak has been captured by the vamps. To survive, Tamaska need to face her fears and risk possible death. There is so much within this book to love but it is better enjoyed as a part of the series as there is a continuing storyline. 4.5 Stars

Rogue Wolf is the third instalment in the Protector Wolf Shifter Series by Lilliana Rose It is a wonderfully woven protector turned lover urban fantasy with paranormal romance, shifters (wolves), vampires, action, adventure, danger, dramatic developments, chemistry, tension, mystery, emotion, politics, high stakes, agendas, suspense, the supernatural, threats, abduction, and much more.

Each book in this series follows on from one another, so I highly recommend reading the first two books before starting on this instalment so you have all the important details on board that will help you fully appreciate this book, as well as the series as a whole.
Kodiak has sworn to protect Tamaska at all cost, but what happens to her if he’s not there to do so? Now Tamaska is on a mission to rescue Kodiak who has been captured by the vampires. But to do so means she will need to take drastic action- and will need to find someone willing to ‘turn’ her- but there is no guarantee she will survive the transformation. Yelp, you guessed it- things are about to get dangerously complicated. Buckle up for an intriguing read.
Excitedly awaiting ‘Cursed Wolf’ (Book #4)!
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Lilliana Rose!

Marked Wolf by Lilliana Rose is the second book in her Protector Wolf Shifter Series. It is the continuation of the love story between Tamaska and Kodiak. This book starts EXACTLY where the last book stops and, I must say, I love that. No flashback or skimpy version – just keeps going!

The odds are greater and the way more muddled for our main characters. This book answers some of the lingering questions of the first book left. I expect it will wrap up in the last book nicely. Definitely needs to be read in order and still includes some steam. If you like an urban based supernatural book then it will be a hit!
