Tropical Date: Billionaire Romantic Comedy (Postscript Island #2) by R. S. Jonesee

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Tropical Date is the second book in the Postscript Island Series. I’m going to be looking for the first book soon. This was amazing and I hope there’s more.

Weston escapes to the states and runs into someone from his past. He’s a billionaire and normally things don’t frazzle him. Can they make it work and forget the past? The quote I chose for Weston is: “Paris, go on with the meeting. Mrs. Snowwoman has my vote. Make sure we add a gold star to her accessories.”

Marissa goes to college and gets her art degree. She paints to get over her missing boyfriend. When she runs into Weston things get difficult. The quote I chose for Marissa is: “Oh, please. I was working on a college degree and opening a store. Scatterbrained, I’d say.”

Highly recommended for Romantic Comedy lovers.

What a read! Of course, you knew that there was going to be tension between Marissa and Weston pretty much as soon as you start to get to know their story, and this author does not disappoint. Immediately after landing, the tension is at an all time high, and it doesn’t dissipate throughout the novel. These two definitely were written in the stars, and as all relationships do, they have their ups and downs. This writing style is addictive, entertaining, and in some parts, a little predictable, but I think that comes with having read and watched as many romantic comedies as I possibly can.

I didn’t realize there were more to the series, and I will certainly be travelling back to Postscript Island when time permits. This author has a way of building up her characters, making you feel very much like you know all those around, and feel the emotions boiling over as fast-paced entertainment thrills your mind with all the little twists and turns. I really enjoyed this novel, and would recommend to anyone that’s looking for a fun, enjoyable adventure. Well done!

If you are looking for a sweet and sometimes steamy romantic comedy, full of mystery and fun, then this book is for
you.

Tropical Date by R. S. Jonesee, continues the Postscript Island series with the story of Marissa, the painter who is following her dream of opening her own art gallery and Weston, who happens to be Marissa’s ex, the condom company owner who is coming back home to help his mother. Will the two of them be able to rekindle an old flame while solving a Postscript island mystery?

This book was such a fun read! The characters were funny, full of wit and really entertaining. The story had an easy flow that kept you turning the pages while keeping you intrigued with the mystery and blushing from the romance.

Grab a frozen drink and lounge on the beach with this one.

Happy Reading!

I love a funny romantic comedy with some absolutely astounding puns thrown in, Tropical Date (Postscript Island Book 3) by R.S. Jonesee is that. I mean one of the main characters owns and operates a latex factory so you are talking comedy gold. This is a standalone romantic comedy with a really really slow burn second chance romance and a little mystery thrown in. I admit this is the first book I’ve read by this author, but this book has such humorous dialog and an interesting bonus to the storyline that I definitely want to check out more books by them.

We meet two highschool sweethearts, Weston and Marissa, several years after a tumultuous break. Marissa sill resides in Postscript Island and is about to embark on her dream of opening her own art gallery. She is dating a nice cafe owner and getting her life back on track, when Weston returns. Weston never thought he would return to Postscript, but when his mom needs his help he can’t turn his back. It’s there he sees Marissa again and though they have a strained past the sparks are still alive between them. As they try to figure out what’s going on in Postscript, new obstacles and old feelings arise. Do second chances exist or are things better left in the past?

Who doesn’t love a good second chance romance. Marissa Sinclair is working on opening her art gallery when her ex Weston shows up and turns her world upside down. He is now a billionaire and has no interest in settling down, but Marissa is someone he just can’t seem to get out of his system. Will they give each other a second chance? The book was enjoyable and a quick read.

This was one of the best books I have read in a while. Very well written with an attention-grabbing plot. While you think you have figured out what will happen the author throws little curveballs that make the book hard to put down.

This book follows the story of Weston and Marissa. Weston is from a small island but left when he was eighteen and had not been back in years. Made a name for himself and a very successful business. Back on the small island, he left is Marissa the girl he never could forget.

What happens when the boy who left returns to the place that has the power to destroy him? What happens when old friends reunite to find out a lot has changed? Are second chances at happiness real or just an island myth? Read this book to find out.

Great second-chance romance! I loved this book because it was slow-burn and there was a lot of tension and buildup. Also there was a bit of mystery about the company that wanted to buy all the stores, so that kept me interested as well. Marissa is such a cool protagonist, I loved her and could relate to her. Overall the book was very entertaining and a great read, highly recommend.

Want a feel-good story that isn’t the standard rom-com second chance love story line? Look no further! Marissa and Weston’s first chance at love went awry as teenagers. Weston left Postscript Island and only returned after his mom had a business offer that was too good to be true. When Marissa is faced with her past lover she does what any woman would… make him see what he missed out on!
Filled with humor, a few trips to a nudist colony, a condom factory, and a crotch sniffing stray dog this is the perfect mix of humor with romance. Tropical Date is an easy read with steamy romance, condom humor, a cozy island mystery, and second chance love.

The story was good, although a little slow paced at times, and I enjoyed getting to know the characters. The book is light-hearted and fun, with just enough mystery in to keep things interesting.

This was a good 4 star read. Of course the synopsis pulled me in, I had to see just how this story went and I wasn’t disappointed. This was a fun romantic comedy that once you start you won’t want to put it down. I really enjoyed Marissa and Weston’s story.

Of course these two have a history. And when Weston returns to Postscript Island things come rushing back to Marissa. Weston is determined to get Marissa back, what will she do when she learns the truth? Will she let him back into her heart?

This was a great story. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. The author does a great job with her writing and pulls you right in. This can be read as a standalone. If you are looking for a good read, 1-click and get started today. I look forward to reading more from this series and author.

Every though this is the 3rd book in the series it can be read as a stand alone.

What an adorable romcom. Marissa is a painter about to embark on opening her gallery and Weston is a billionaire condominium manufacturer (yes there is plenty of jokes in the book!) who comes home to help his mom sell her shop. Of course something seems shady so Westin sticks around to investigate, which means he’s gets to be close to Marissa for a little bit longer. They have a trouble past but working towards the common goal of figure out who is wanting to buy up all the shops on the island will help them figure some things out!

Super cute read!

Marissa and Weston have been best friends since kindergarten, and fell in love. Five years ago, unexpected news rattled them and they broke up. Weston left the island they lived on and hadn’t returned to visit. That changes when his mom asks for his help. Their first time seeing each other… does not go well.

Marissa and Weston have obvious chemistry. I liked Weston and Marissa, though both seemed a bit naive to me. The entire cast of characters is interesting, but a few things fell flat. The story is a bit predictable, and some of the characters were odd and not quite realistic – like Weston’s staff’s over-the-top insistence on putting slippers on Marissa or feeding her. That being said, I enjoyed the story and there were many parts that were funny. It is the perfect beach read.

Friends to lovers and second chances
I really enjoyed this tropical romance, with childhood sweethearts finding their way together again. This was no straightforward HEA either. With drama and mysteries following in their wake Marissa and Weston have their work cut out for them. The characters, the island setting and the condom puns had me laughing and feeling all the feels. The author has hit all the right spots for a great rom-com escape. This is definitely a recommend.

This is a great second chance, billionaire romance that I really, really enjoyed. I had not read any of this author’s work before, but after reading this book, I’ll be sure to read more in future as I was impressed by the storytelling from this author and how well the story flowed.
Weston left Postscript Island after a false pregnancy scare with his girlfriend Marissa. When he comes back years later, he’s determined to win her over and that means telling her the real reason he left all those years ago.
I really enjoyed Weston and Marissa’s story. Weston is determined to win her over but Marissa is determined to keep him at arms length even though she really wants to wrap her arms around him and not let him go again.
I really liked both Weston and Marissa as characters. They are very well written and you can relate to them. The books also boasts a great cast of secondary characters who add so much to the story. I really hope that we get to see a lot more from these characters in future books from this author.
Definitely recommend.

This is the first book I have read by the author and I look forward to exploring more of her Postscript Island series! The novel was well written and an immersive world where you feel you belong. This is a book you can pick up and lose yourself. I am all for slow romance lines, but a slow-stirring plot was a minor drawback for me. The story follows 2 first-time loves, Weston and Marissa, and how they are reintroduced to each other after several years of a part with a dramatic break. Of course, there are a lot of words unsaid between the two of them, and their hometown of Postscript is oblivious, even though it might have been Marissa’s doing. They come together to explore the intrigue surrounding the island’s citizens and their possessions. Then upon further investigation, things go from curious to downright dangerous, not just for our two main characters, but others as well! Along the way they have the ability to reconnect, but will Weston’s overprotective nature and the intrigue ruin it for Marissa’s strong independent nature and protective focus for Postscripts citizens stand in the way? Read the book and escape to Postscript Island!!

The moment that Weston arrived back to Postscript Island, I was sucked into the book and transported there myself! This is the first book I have read by this author but was instantly a huge fan, she has a major talent for writing quality romcom books! She has such a unique way of putting humor into the story, and the connection between the characters made them easy to fall in love with. She has you guessing until the very end about what will happen between the two of them, another thing that I loved about the book! I’m definitely going to be reading more of her stories in the future!

When Weston left his hometown, he left behind his best friend, Marissa, who he had been dating. Now, five years later he has returned to help his mom with a business proposal. Marissa has moved on and has another boyfriend and does not want to see him. Weston wants to rekindle old feelings. When they end up locked in a room together, feelings can’t be denied.
Opinion
This is a great best friends, rekindling book. I loved that Weston came to rescue his mom and the town. The story has a few cliche parts (like being locked in a room together) but it flows nicely and has a great appeal. This book is perfect for those looking for a getaway on a budget. Reading about the tropical area put me in a happy mood.

I was only going to ‘just start’ this book yesterday, but a couple hours went by and I was finished. This book allows the reader to escape to a beautiful island filled with incredible characters. We follow self made billionaire, Weston, as he returns home to Postscript Island and has a no so warm welcome from his former love Marissa. Although Marissa does her best to avoid Weston, mysterious offers to buy the local businesses has her seeking his help as his arrival was to help his mom’s similar offer. I loved the chemistry between the main characters, but my favorite character was by far Marissa’s dad. I appreciate that the author gives each character a personality for the reader to grasp onto. Good book, couldn’t put it down and definitely recommend.

Tropical Date is the third book in the Postscript Island series by R.S. Jonesee. This is the first book that I have read by this author, so I really didn’t know what to expect from one of her stories. But I love a fun read, and this certainly gave off those vibes- so I snapped up a copy and dove right in.
It is a witty romantic comedy with a second chances element, a tropical island setting, adventure, mystery, drama, banter/quips/antics, and danger…. All of which made for a sexy, fun story. A painter, a condom company CEO, a tropical island, their complicated past, some mayhem, banter, and plenty of chemistry- intriguing! Right?
I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be going back to read the other two books in the series, as well as any future releases by this talented author.
Happy Reading!

Thank you, R.S. Jonesee!

Quick, easy, enjoyable read! While book 3 in the Postscript Island series is a stand alone novel, I do wish that I would have read the other two prior! Loved the author (R.S Jonesee) and their writing style! I will DEFINITELY seek out the other novels to go back and read!

Marissa & Weston were high school sweethearts until one day, Weston decided it was “too much” and left the island to pursue his dreams. Weston eventually returns home to the island, as he mom attempts to lure him home permanently with a business offer that he can’t refuse.

A nudist colony, a condom company, lots of laughs, some romance, and a mystery to solve…..all in a gorgeous, tropical setting. It doesn’t get any better than this! 5 stars! Highly recommend

I absolutely adored this story! I hadn’t read the previous 2 stories, but I definitely plan to check them out. I was expecting the standard rom-com second love story line, but then the author threw a curve-ball with a fun fill mystery added in. I enjoyed how she shared the background of Marissa and Weston’s teenage romance and how things went sideways in smaller pieces, so it wasn’t all thrown at us all at once. The story was filled with humor, but when the main character owns a condom empire, the jokes pretty much write themselves. Throw in a few trips to a nudist colony a sassy parrot and you have the perfect mix for hilarity. I loved the story line and how the characters grow and come together. It’s definitely a great book to read if you are looking to escape reality for a bit and need some steamy romance, a ton of humor, a dash of mystery, and a happily ever after.
