I really enjoyed reading this set of poetry! It was easy for me to read, and I understood most if not all the poems, which says a lot for me since I usually don’t understand many poems. This went really fast too, so it was a quick read. I haven’t read anything from this author before but I will definitely be coming back because I really did enjoy this book of poems.

Better Gnomes & Gardens (Mysty Haven Mystery Book 1) by Casey Cardel – Review by Rachel Moss

Better Gnomes & Gardens (Mysty Haven Mystery)Better Gnomes & Gardens by Casey Cardel
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a good read story! I really liked the story and enjoyed the characters. It was a very interesting cozy mystery, that centers around Fantasy characters. I laughed while reading this book, and was easily lost in the easy writing style that made this story enjoyable and easy to read. However, there was a lot of grammatical errors in this book, and some plot points that got a bit confusing that I felt like could have been explained a bit better. Because of that this book is a 3.5 rating for me. I’m rounding to up to a 4 because I really do like the story, characters and premise of this novel but with all the errors that were in this novel I have to say it’s a 3.5. But regardless I really enjoyed this book and am excited to read more of this series in the future!

This was a really good read! It was enthralling and very well written. I enjoyed the angst, and the second chance romance that was involved. It was emotional and just the combination of a Christmas tree farm and winery gave me big Hallmark movie vibes. This is a great seasonal read for this time of year and I highly recommend it!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was an interesting read. The story is centered around two siblings who are at opposites with each other on play and other things. Almost like an opposites story. There is a lessen that can be taught to young children from this story but I don’t think the story itself serves as a teaching lesson. It was an enjoyable read nonetheless and I would read it to my child in the future.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a really good read! I enjoyed getting to go back, and kind of getting some insight into the events at the beginning that had such an impact on the main series, but didn’t get talked about often. So it was nice getting information on the tragedy itself. It also gives slightly more of an insight into the mafia girls which I really enjoyed as well. It was fast paced and well written too! I definitely can’t wait to read more from this author in the future!

This was a really good read! I enjoyed the ethnicity of the characters and just the vibe of the book in general. It was easy to get lost in and also easy to read. The characters were very enjoyable and the story was interesting and held my interest. My only complaint was the lack of connectedness to time, and some of the conversations were a little hard to follow. Other than that I really enjoyed this book! I’m excited to read more from this author in the future!

This was a really good book! It was colorful, the illustrations were wonderful, it had a great story and lesson about fairness inside, and it was also very enthralling! I really enjoyed reading this one. And if you continue the whole way through, you may also find a small science lesson at the end. I can’t wait to read it to my daughter when she gets older!

This was an interesting read! It was a little slow at the beginning but I’m glad I stuck it out because it ended up being really good! I’m very excited to see where the next installment goes. This is a fantasy story quite unlike any others I’ve read before. I really enjoyed this one and can’t wait to read the next book!

This was a good read! It was very paced, and as a short story it packed a lot of punch. The characters were loveable and it fid end with an HEA. I enjoyed the fast pace of this book, but at the same time it almost felt a little too rushed to me. I wish I could have explored with the characters more and gotten to know them a little better. Overall though this was a fantastic and quick read, and I would love to read more in the future!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was definitely an interesting read. I’m hoping there is more to come, or another, longer, book added, because for only 20 pages I’m VERY intrigued and definitely wanting to read more. How this author managed to pack 20 pages with a whole story is beyond me. This author really did nail it. This book is definitely dark and may contain a few trigger warnings. I can’t wait to (hopefully) read more!

This was a really good book! It was a little difficult to get into at the beginning, but I’m glad I persisted and stuck it out because it was a really good story. It is inspiring, and is pretty motivating as well. I wish there wouldn’t have been such a big focus on weight but I guess if there wasn’t then this wouldn’t be a book! This is my first book from this author and I’m excited to read more in the future!

This was such a cute read! I love the rhyming scheme and the illustrations! The story was adventurous, and had a really good message at the end. My daughter loved looking at the pages but she’s a little too young for the story so she lost interest pretty quickly but I definitely plan on reading this to her again when she gets a little older! And the activities at the end were definitely a nice bonus as well! I highly recommend reading this to younger children!

This was a really interesting children’s book! I say interesting, because I wasn’t expecting to feel sad, but boy did I feel a little sad reading this one! I like the sentiment of the story, that just because one doesn’t look the same doesn’t mean they’re not valuable or important. Or at least that’s the sentiment I got from this story. I enjoyed reading this and will definitely read it to my daughter when she gets a little older!

I can’t decide which book I like better so far but I’m excited to read the next installment to this series!

This was a really good read! I wasn’t exactly expecting a sequel from the first book so this was a surprise. Some of the mathematics and science confused me, but overall it was very easy to read! I enjoyed being back in this little strange world that the two main characters happened upon in the first book. And according to the ending there’s going to be a third one, so I am excited to see how this trilogy ends!

This was an interesting read! It’s very reminiscent of the authors Notebook Mysteries series, and there are even some references to the characters from that series. You don’t have to read that series to read this book, it’s more or less like an Easter egg. This was en enthralling and mysterious read (it is a mystery crime book) with some thrilling scenes sprinkled in which just what I’ve come to expect from this author. I loved the historical and even scandalous aspects of this book too. I felt a little like a rebel reading it! I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more in the future!

This was a great sequel! It picks up where the first one ended, so you will definitely want to read these in order. I was excited reading the second one because I wanted the story to pick up a bit more and I wasn’t disappointed! Some of the things that left me confused in Book one were answered so I did enjoy this one a bit more because of that. I’m really enjoying this series so far and can’t wait to read the 3rd installment!

This was a really good book! This was an easy world to dive into, and the characters came to life on the page. It was quick to read and pretty easy to follow. Some of the interactions and conversations left me confused on who exactly was speaking (and that in itself was pretty rare) but other than that this book was fantastic. It was a very steamy read! So be prepared for some spice and language. And it’s a mafia book, so of course there is blood and some violence involved. I can’t wait to read the next installment!

This is a great boxset! These books and this whole series is awesome. If you enjoyed the first boxset (or even the first book) you should definitely grab this one too. It continues the family stories, but they can be read as standalones as well. But it definitely works best if you start with book one and continue from there. This author never disappoints so if you haven’t checked these out yet you must definitely should!

It was fast paced, and full of sexual tension and sizzling energy throughout the whole book. Some of the scenes felt a little rushed but overall it was a good read. This is the first book in the Elemental Warriors series and I’m intrigued to see where the rest of the books go.

This shorter novel was very well written, very descriptive, scare in its almost realistic horror, and very immersive. I felt like I was right there. I was very easily and quickly drawn into this story and I could hardly leave. I highly recommend this story, especially if you are a fan of horror and zombies.

This was a really cute book! I liked the themes involved, about patience and perservence and how to work at something to achieve goals. It had a really good story for a short children’s novel. My daughter liked the pictures of this one, but she’s only 1 so she didn’t understand the meaning of it or what the author’s point was. I can’t wait to read this one to her or let her read it herself when she gets older!

This was a really good book! I wasn’t sure what to expect going in honestly, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this one! Especially since this is the 3rd book in a series. And while there a few references brought up that really makes me want to go read the first 2 books, this read like a perfect standalone. It had everything I love in a book. There was romance (the spice was definitely present in this book), humor, tension, mystery and suspense. This was also a quick read and I finished it relatively quickly. I can’t wait to read more from this series and especially this author in the future!
