Kat’s Conundrum (Raven and Hummingbird Book 3) By Nikki Broadwell. What a brilliant book. I enjoyed this story so much, the Author sure knows what she’s doing. I was hooked throughout. This story follows Kat a Demi Goddess, who’s life is currently out of her control. I started this series on this book so I will have to go back and follow up on previous book, I think it will make a few things fall into place. I think anyone who loves fantasy will love this book. Five starts *****

Kat’s Conundrum (Raven and Hummingbird Book 3) by Nikki Broadwell
4 Stars!!!!

I love finding new authors. I also have a bad habit of reading series out of order but that’s just me. I really love fantasy based books with Gods and Demigods. This book totally filled that. The author has a very original story base and has a very good style that brings the characters to life. I really felt as though I was part of the story.

Kat really is a character I could relate to. She faces some obstacles in this story and my heart was just ripped in two as she deals with her love’s disappearance. I like how the author balances the drama in the story and I like how they come together as a family. I really related to Kat as she had to fight to prove herself and really rediscover herself. When her dad is stripped of his powers
and it affects Kat and also the border being closed makes it worse I like how she continues to prove herself and fight. I really couldn’t put this book down and I really cannot wait to read more from this author and the series.

Kat's Conundrum (Raven and Hummingbird Book 3)Kat’s Conundrum by Nikki Broadwell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kat’s Conundrum is the third book in the Raven and Hummingbird series from Niki Broadwell and I would HIGHLY recommend that you read the books in order in order to really understand the story and what things are going on with the characters. I have and so this book was a must for me to get my hands on. I really wanted to find out where we would find Kat along her adventures. In this one we see Kat struggling with her world right now and with how things are progressing. She is Dagda’s daughter as we found out in the previous books and she is also in love with a god, Bran. Bran has not returned from his trip to the Otherworld and Kat is worried but also dealing with chaos where she is at now. Her memories are also stolen and that becomes a slight issue as well with everything. This is a fast paced story with lots of detail and world building but it isn’t done in an overwhelming way, something I really appreciate about the way that Broadwell writes her novels. I will definitely be back for more just as soon as it gets released!

Kat's Conundrum (Raven and Hummingbird Book 3)Kat’s Conundrum by Nikki Broadwell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Kat’s life is in chaos. Earth is in the clutches of an unknown entity when another ill-fated scenario is being uncovered. Meanwhile, Bran, the deity she loves, has taken off to the Outerworld but hasn’t returned.
A sip from the vessel of intelligence and influence should have given her something to work with, but whatever she’s learned has left her memory or she never tried to take it in.
As anarchy emanates around her, Kat sways from place to place, she becomes lost in her ability to switch from her sea of disbelief. Her inevitability lies in symmetry but balance. Fate takes hold and adjusts it.
As her recollection is snatched, the threads that held them together seem to resolve. The fairy is equipped to help her but are their intentions honorable? Her life is about to adjust but if she isn’t thorough, she’s gonna lose herself in the process.
This book is a beautiful book with great world building as it’s unpredictable with great characters. It’s also whimsical and entertaining in the best of ways. Original and easy to read, it’s quite the page-turner!

Kat's Conundrum (Raven and Hummingbird Book 3)Kat’s Conundrum by Nikki Broadwell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this fantasy novel by Nikki Broadwell, it is book three in Broadwell’s, ‘Raven and Hummingbird’ series and it continues Katel’s (Kat) adventures. Kat is Dagda‘s daughter from book two and I would personally recommend reading these books in order to really get to know the characters and their backstory and to fully enjoy the series. Having read and enjoyed the previous books in this series I was excited to read this one and I found it to be as captivating a story as the previous stories.
Kat’s life is out of control, the god she is in love with, Bran has not returned from the Otherworld and Kat is surrounded by chaos with Earth in the clutches of unseen forces. She takes a drink from the cauldron of wisdom and inspiration but even that does not help and Kat finds her ability to effect change is lost. Kat’s memories are then stolen and the Fae world is willing to help her but can she trust them or will she lose touch with who she really is. Kat’s destiny lies in the balance.
I could not turn the pages quick enough whilst reading this story as it was fast paced, full of adventure and had great characters. I liked Kat as a character in the previous book and I fell in love with her even more in this novel as she is a great strong female heroine and I found myself caring about her fate and so felt invested in the story. The storyline really swept me along and I was immersed in Broadwell’s magical world of gods, goddesses and magic. I found this to be a five star read and I thoroughly recommend this book.

Kat’s Conundrum by Nikki Broadwell was a great third novel in the Raven and Hummingbird series! Very well written, this novel was fast paced at times and slow paced at others. Depending on where Kat was at or what she was doing, time was very fluid in this novel. I enjoyed character development and meeting new characters. I was shocked and surprised at some parts and wanted to cry at others. Great continuation of the series! I highly recommend this novel and can’t wait to read the fourth installment of this series!

Kat's Conundrum (Raven and Hummingbird Book 3)Kat’s Conundrum by Nikki Broadwell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I give Kat’s Conundrum (Raven and Hummingbird Book 3) by Nikki Broadwell, 4 stars.

This book is a good continuation of the story. Throughout the book, Kat mostly feels lost, not remembering who she is or what her destiny is. However, trying to discover these things is not as easy as you would think. Obstacles of all sorts are constantly thrown in her path, and she must decide on her own what to do. Will she do the right thing?

This is book three in the series and you really have to read the first two to fully follow this book. There are a lot of good characters in here. Some you dislike, some need an attitude adjustment, but others you embrace. There are a few whom I really hope to see quite a bit more of in the future. There are many secondary characters in this book and they really are what make this such a wonderful read. The story itself is quite good and interesting too. There are many places Kat travels to, and many things she encounters. Something new is always happening, there is not a moment of boredom. You quite often wonder just what is going on or what will happen next. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

If you are a fan modern fantasy, this book and series is for you.

Kat and Bran are quite interesting characters, and in this third book MS. Broadwell paints even more character into their personalities. Not only theirs but even the supporting players in this little tale. The new characters she introduces are no less interesting. Wonderful, rich worldbuilding, and not just one, the many dimensions that Kat has access to are well described and artfully crafted. I love this book and the ending was so perfect. I was extremely impressed with her strength. I was shocked with the revelations at the end of the book and can’t wait to read book four. Bran also went through a lot in this novel and I am curious to know what his role will end up being in book four. Dagada, despite his power being stripped, was still a selfish jerk at times. He was forced to be more humble but he fought it. Such an excellent read.

Kat’s Conundrum is the third book in the Raven and Hummingbird Series by Nikki Broadwell. After reading Dagda’s Daughter (Book 2), I really couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book and continue the story- and I’m happy to say Ms. Broadwell didn’t let me down- this story is just as captivating as I hoped it would be. With plenty of surprises thrown in to keep me turning the pages.
This is another clever fantasy- with plenty of action, adventure, secrets, Fae, Gods/Goddesses, stolen memories, danger, magic, discovery, emotion, Celtic mythological elements, intrigue, and dramatic developments. As this book continues Katel’s (Kat) story, I would really recommend reading the previous book/s first before starting on this one.
Life has gotten quite complicated for Kat- things seem to be spinning out of control. Powerful forces are at play and she’s caught in the chaos. There is much at stake and she must decide who she can trust. Because, if she thought things were crazy before- life has got a few more surprises in store.
Wonderful!
Bring on Book #4!!!

Thank you, Nikki Broadwell!

Dagda’s Daughter (Raven and Hummingbird Book 2) by Nikki Broadwell – Review by Gail Guerrero

Four stars

Dagda’s Daughter is set in a time when people truly had faith. The mythology mixed with the Celtic really made the story pop. You have a God living amongst humans breaking all the rules. When girls turn a certain age dads lose their sparkle. Words go in one ear and out the other. What makes it even more difficult is that Katel is coming into her powers and there is no telling how mighty they will be. I enjoyed the story and all the adventure. What really held my attention was the growth throughout the story. There was so much to learn as the characters came into their own. The fight to stop the Light Snatchers from taking the color from all worlds was icing on the cake. The author pieced this fast paced story together with what seems like effortless wonder. The details and creativity put into the pages if this story is great.

Dagda’s Daughter is the second book in the Raven and Hummingbird Series by Nikki Broadwell. This story is a clever fantasy- woven with plenty of action, adventure, secrets, discovery, Gods/Goddesses, magic, emotion, different realms, Celtic mythology, intrigue, and father/daughter/family dynamics. It could be read as a standalone, but as the first book “Siobhan’s Secret” has a lot of backstory and other relevant and interesting details, I would really recommend reading that book first before beginning this one.
Dagda is a God who fell in love with a mortal. A human called Siobhan. They have a daughter, Katel- who is now an adult, half-goddess and has no idea of what she is capable of. There is much more to this situation, but I really don’t want to ruin it for you by giving too much away. But as usual, Ms. Broadwell kept me engaged the whole way through.
I can’t wait to dive into “Kat’s Conundrum” (Book 3), it’s set to be quite intriguing.

Thank you, Ms. Broadwell!

Dagda’s Daughter (Raven and Hummingbird Book 2) by Nikki Broadwell
5 Stars
I really enjoyed this fantasy novel by Nikki Broadwell, it was full of Celtic mythology and mystical beings, surrounding the tales of the Celtic all father god, Dagda.
Dagda although a god has decided to live on Earth as away of giving himself maximum power and as a way of controlling his daughter Katel. Katel is herself on the brink of developing her immense power as a half-goddess. Due to Dagda’s actions on Earth, he has broken all the rules regarding humans and gods, the light snatchers have appeared and will leach the colour from all worlds if not stopped.
I could not turn the pages quick enough when reading this story it was fast paced and had great characters, I found Katel particularly likeable and found myself caring about her fate. The storyline really swept me along, and I was immersed in Broadwell’s magical world of gods, goddesses and magic.
I found the use of Celtic and Norse mythology fascinating and used alongside the fantasy worlds created, like the Otherworld and with our human world mixed in it made this a captivating story.
I have not read the first book in this series but this novel works well on its own, however I so enjoyed this book and the magical settings that Broadwell conjured up that I will now read book one and am looking forward to reading the third one in the ‘Raven and Hummingbird’ series.
A five star read, and one I will definitely recommend.

Dagda’s Daughter (Raven and Hummingbird Book 2) by Nikki Broadwell. This book has a little of everything from magic, spells, mythology, gods, war and danger. Its the story of the Celtic Father God Dagda who has moved himself on Earth to be the major power. In doing so he has broken all the rules regarding humans and Gods all the while trying to keep his daughter Katel under his power as well. She is becoming stronger and stronger and he doesn’t know if he can continue to control her. His illegal actions have caused bad people to surface and they are going to try to destroy the world. This is a great book about Father/daughter relationships in the Spiritual World and its also very entertaining. Dagda is very selfish and it shows in how he wants to control everything. Thanks to people around her Katel is kept safe. Read Dagda’s Daughter to find out what happens!
