Dinopotamus Solves a Mystery (Dinopotamus Series) by Lois Wickstrom. This is another amazing installment by Lois Wickstrom. I love all of her books. My 6 year old nephew and I read this together and we both loved it. Its about Dinopotamus discovering that when he gets up from where he has been sitting its warm so he leaves it for the other children to take a nap. So the whole class sets out to discover where the warm spots are. Trying to fit in is hard but with this one thoughtful thing Dinopotamus makes friends with the whole class. These books are so cute and sweet and always have a real life lesson in them. They make wonderful gifts for families or teachers too. My nephew and I are super fans of this author!
O.M.G. Where oh where has this book and this author been??!! I read a book by this author way back in 2020 but I guess she escaped me. Now, after reading this book, she will not get away!!!
The main character K.C., gets put through so much in her short life. Her family is a real piece of work. Are there really any good political families in real life or make believe? This story is a little predictable on one hand but then there’s a little twist to keep you flipping those pages. Chamberlain, the male MC is ugh…so sweet but ugh. A true guy with his platonic blinders on. I absolutely love love love K.C. and Chamberlain’s relationship. The secondary characters aka best friends, Beth, Scott and even Gwen, who I love to hate right now, are all worthy characters as well.
This way this author writes had me mesmerized and trying to read faster than I ever had. Currently reading part 2 of this story and looking forward to what may and who may come next.

To find a new series by an author I love is always exciting and this series start book absolutely did not disappoint for a single second. It is so Wonderfully written that you will feel everything right along with the characters so prepare yourself for an emotional rollercoaster ride. Every time Sylvia adds another dark and delicious Master to the series, I think it is my favourite, but she keeps raising the bar. I have said it before, and I am saying it again Masters of the Consulate is one of my favourite series and it is so easy to become lost to this harsh world yet there is also something beautiful within the darkness. This dark Vampire romance series is every paranormal reader paradise. Sylvia has cleverly created multiple threads that weave a dangerous and complex world with multilayered characters, the Masters. With a world full of paranormal beings, old world factions, rogues, wars, lies, secrets there is something for even the most discerning reader. Wickedly delightful Master Bistrita’s story is enticing, fast paced, full of suspense and let’s not forget it is sizzling hot. He is fierce, he is loyal, he is intense, he is sexy, he is deadly. Master Bistrita is on my list of book boyfriends. Ok so are the others but still. They love hard and fiercely and will stop at nothing to keep what they deem as theirs safe. While chasing rogues Master Bistrita finds something he does not believe in but there she is in front of his face. Fated. Mate. But there is also something much worst and shocking in the foreground that he must face and that is betrayal. Is just an itch? Jack and his friends go down a rabbit hole before finding the evidence and poor ol’ Shank is on the receiving end. My grandsons enjoyed it and enjoyed Shank’s misadventures. No One Could See the Flea has a unique storyline with lots of things for children to examine, learn and wonder about. It is an entertaining and imaginative children’s picture book that brings laughter at the antics and goings on. The illustrations by Michele Katz are fun and engaging and help to bring this adventure tale to life. Looking forward to reading more of Tricia’s work.

It is a historical romance tale with paranormal elements, and I found I was drawn into this medieval story more and more as the clever plotting and trials and tribulations unfolded. This story follows Eden, Nicolo, and Matty. This story brings you back to the 1800’s. Nicolo and Matty are best friends. Matty is abused by his father and so he heads over to Nicolo’s for safety. Nicolo’s parents allow him to stay there. They fall in love with each other, which is never heard of back then. Nicolo meets Eden at school, and they eventually get married. Eden has a challenging time accepting Nicolo has a mother and two fathers. She tries to accept it and asks for patience.
I love when a book starts off and immediately sucks you in. There is enough carried over from the first book that you feel informed, but it’s explained enough that reading it as a standalone probably wouldn’t be confusing. The friendship Lexie has with her new neighbor Joy makes it seem like she didn’t recently move in. They almost seem like they’ve been friends much longer. I was excited to have both Al and Brian in this book as Lexie works through her personal life. I also enjoyed learning more about Lexie’s past and family having her sister and son more involved.

Lexie sucked me in from the start. I couldn’t wait to read more. I couldn’t wait to read more. This was a page turner I struggled putting down. I was right there at all the book club meetings and suspecting everyone right along with Lexie. Every person she knew was a suspect in my eyes and I struggled crossing any of them off my list. The little bits of romance thrown in are nice and don’t take away from the mystery at hand but just show that people care about Lexie, even when she feels like she has no one in her corner. Now on to book 2!

This is three novellas in one book. It was my first time dipping my toe into these tropes and it was both interesting and eye opening. I really liked the characters and the stories in all three books even though they are all stand alone. In the first one the quiet librarian, Penny, gets a few gifts left at the library for her and is told to meet X at a hotel. She is curious so she goes to see who he is and ends up liking being submissive to X. He teaches her and dresses her, but she becomes more confident in her skin. In the second book, Courtney signs up for training at The Commander’s Club because she is trying to find her coworker who sent a text and is believed to be one of the slave girls. Coutrney’s master is a man she has been thinking about since she saw him at her office earlier in the week. Ty Dragon is undercover and they are trying to take down the owner of the club. They both start to develop feelings and they need to take down the club before she is sold off to another master. The last book follows Laura in Paris. She is accused of theft and then mugged and decides to become a temporary courtesan to earn money to get her back to the states. She is nervous and excited and hopes that a particular gentleman in the crowd is going to buy her but then he gets up to leave. Nick is there to make his sister in law happy since she says he needs to move on after his divorce six years before. He is taken by her and doesn’t want anyone else to get his hands on her, she seems so new and innocent and he knows the types of men in the room. Laura is sent to her master’s summer home, a mansion in the country, and is happy to see that it is Nick. He tries to make her submissive but he is not too hard on her and sometimes even she takes over. He is hoping to save her and hoping for her to stay. I know that not all bdsm stories probably have love and happy endings, but I enjoyed these!

While this book is the second in the series it can be read as a standalone. The way Nicolette Terry writes is so very descriptive that I could easily “see” it in my mind as I was reading. This book drew me in slow, but hooked me fast. I didn’t want to put it down. I could definitely tell from the beginning something was off with Cadence and Elijah’s relationship. The way Elijah went from being a jerk to lovey dovey was classic narcissistic behavior. Thankfully Cadence finally figured out he wanted her in a box and when she finally figured that out and allowed herself to grieve that relationship and move on she was much happier. The connection that Cadence has with Damien is everything a girl could ever hope for. Not to mention the steamy scenes with Damien had me thinking I needed to fan my face. (Spicy edition, there’s a clean edition also). Talk about the spark and heat of these two. In the end, love wins it all.

This book is a quick read and the beginning of the Predator Series. I have read from this author before and have always loved what they have written. This book is no different. It is an amazing read about a sports romance. It has steam, drama, emotions that pull at you, angst, more steam, and romance. It will have you wanting to read the second book in the series as soon as you finish this one. It does leave you on a cliff hanger that will be picked up in the second book, another reason I am eager to start book 2. I had some severe reactions to this book, the yelling at the pages, the tears, all followed by the laughs. This book will make you feel everything and will have you finding the second book in the series as soon as you are done with this one.

This is the really cute story of Shank the dog and Jack (his owner) and possible fleas. I love the illustrations and how colorful and bright they are and how well they follow and go along with the story. I also really love how each concoction is funny and different and how everyone is trying to help Shank with his “flea” and the ending is funny. This is a really cute story to add to your rotation with your kiddos.

Katie and Drew meet at a halloween party and their mascot choices were hilarious to say the least but Katie was the bravest and deserved to win 🤣🤣🤣🤣they also have a get to know you with 10 questions and I think he had her at “dogs” 🤣you can tell a lot by the way someone treats animals 😊
After their first date , Drew walks Katie to the door and gets met with a very protective Hugo and that whole scenario had me in stitches he really let Drew know who’s the “man” in the house 🐾🤣❣️despite the flowers hot , yes the pooch got flowers 💐🥰🐾😉but Hugo won’t let go that easy 😊
You can’t help but feel the chemistry between them and as much as they want to deny it they want more than their single hood they promised to maintain 😉 yes there was rinkside action but I like that the story was more focused on them and how their relationship unfolds and the friendship dynamics , yes there were a few bumps along the way to their HEA but no love story doesn’t have them ….but I must hand it to Drew and the red chilli pepper 🌶️❣️🤣 M Just the kind of easy read I needed ! It ends the way it started , with a dress up for halloween party 😉both getting their candies aka each other

Not my first, definitely not my last time picking up a story from this brilliant writer Naomi Valkyrie. In this book it’s a M/M second chance romance. Which follows Jude and Elijah’s relationship. This was a super quick read (for me lol) it’s only 100 or so pages. Unexpected Heroes is filled with strong emotion, spice, suspense, danger and with a surprise twist that makes reading the story all the better. This author always has fantastic world building and the author’s character development is top tier. It amazes me just how well written this was in a short amount of time. I’m looking forward to reading more of this author’s work. Ps the Cover is pretty awesome. All the colors contrast (darker to lighter ) well to draw your eyes right to it.

This is the first book I have read by Sophie Bartow, and I have to say I enjoyed the book from start to finish. I am glad I gave this book a go as the cover did not pique my interest very much. Forgetting the cover this book is definitely a 5-star read. Sophie Bartow has written this book in a way the book is easy to read and enjoy as the story develops. This is a second chance romance story set in a coastal town, Cam and Jessie are the main characters in this story and I really did like reading about them, their characters were easy to relate to as were the other characters in this book. Cam and Jessie’s story has romance, drama, twists, and turns, not forgetting the visible chemistry between them both. If you don’t mind reading books that switch been the now and the past, then this is the book for you to read. Not many authors can flip between the now and the past as easy as Sophie Bartow has done in this book. So please do yourself a favour and read this book, you will not be disappointed.

This is the fourth book in the Tally and the Angel series, and I think it is my favorite so far! I have enjoyed reading all of these with both of my kiddos who are 8 and 12 years old. While you can probably read this as a standalone, I believe reading the full series will give you a much better experience for sure! We are kind of nerds for Greek Mythology in this household which made this installment all the more exciting. Tally goes on quite the adventure with plenty of action. The flow of the story is absolutely wonderful, and everything unfolds at a rather natural pace. I truly enjoyed everything we learned about the Greek culture throughout this story. I highly recommend this intriguing book for you and the kids in your life!

The Fallen Man. Sadly, this being the fifth and final book in the Olympic Peninsula series, it did not disappoint, and it was just as good as the first book. You could read this as a standalone, but I do highly recommend that you read them in order, so you get the background on all the members of The O’Connell family and their friends, and you can truly appreciate all the family dynamics good and bad. Every character is so well written and developed. Each of the books have been about an O’Connell family member and this is Edward’s (the eldest) story. A wonderful romance that is going to pull on your heart for sure. Fast paced with drama, secrets, challenges, romance, angst, action suspense and of course some family drama. This book being set in the holiday season made it even more magical especially in Port Townsend (where I actually live) and on The Olympic Peninsula.

Lost Hollow: A Small-Town Science Fiction Romance (Alienville Book 1) By Donna S. Frelick
Well, here’s to what is going to be a great series. Lost Hollow is the first great instalment in the Alienville series by Donna S. Frelick. Ok I have to admit it did take me a couple of chapters to get fully into this book, but once I did it is safe to say that I could not wait to turn the page to see what was going to happen next. This book has everything you could want in one book, suspense, drama, twists, and turns and just because the author could there is romance thrown in to the mix. The characters in this book are quite relatable and I am fairly sure you will enjoy reading about them. Claire is on the way to visit her sister Moira, who also happens to be her best friend and twin sister. On the way to visit Moira Claire has to take a detour which takes her to Allenville. The last message Moira received from Claire was to say she would be staying in Allenville for the night and when they continue her journey. How ever it has now been three days since Moira has heard anything from Claire, so Moira leaves her home in West Virginia and travels to Allenville. Moira books into the Traveller’s Rest Inn. While at the Inn Moira asks where she could get some help in finding her sister and is directed to the local police station where she meets the police Chief Seth Call. While Seth has a feeling, he knows what has happened to Claire and with his attraction to Moira he knows he also has to protect his town by keeping the towns secrets. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. This is another 5-star read for me.

A Vampire in Disguise is the first book in the Creatures of the Midwest series. It is a great, interesting and yet fun read. I was hooked at the paranormal and yet completely thrown off by the cover. I was expecting a YA, which would not have been disappointing (like I said it is the paranormal I came for) but to my surprise it was not YA at all, in fact quite an age span for everyone. I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end and very excited to read more of the series. The characters/creatures are fantastic and creative. You will get the paranormal of course and some romance, mystery, danger and lots of twists and turns.

Dinopotamus is with his friends at school again and it’s naptime. The kids are all lying on the floor and it’s a bit cold where they are. However, where Dinopotamus is, the floor is nice and warm. No one can figure it out until Dinopotamus uses his scientific reasonings of deduction to come to the proper answer.
This is a cute story that kids will love. It has scientific elements in it taught by a dinosaur! There was one section where I felt like it was repetitive but maybe it was felt that it was needed there. A very enjoyable story and another winning read by Lois Wickstrom!

Sands of Time is the fourth book in the Tally and the Angel series.This story is easy to read and is aimed at young readers around age 11 to 13. It is a good mix of paranormal and fantasy with mythological beings, action, mystery, and drama. My kids enjoy all the mythological stories and really like this book.

Blurring the Lines & Extras (The Blind Rebels Series) by Amy Kaybach. This is the novella that explains what happens before the series begins. Its mainly focused on the behind the scenes of the band The Blind Rebels. Becka is determined to get with a rock star and have him love her and write a song about her. She originally thought she was supposed to be with Dominik from Diminished Capacity but learns really quick that he’s not he one for her. Then she meets Mav from The Blind Rebels. Mav falls quite quickly in love with Becka and takes her on the road on tour with the band. Maverick is the lead singer of the band and Callum their guitarist is on the path to destruction. Mav is very concerned about Callum not only for the band’s sake but for his life. Becka and Callum have their own chemistry so while Mav thinks Becka is the one for him Becka is always looking for the next rock star. I loved this book and the characters. Becka was not my favorite but I felt like I’ve met several women like her. Read this great book to find out what happens in the rock star world.
This book is a great twist on Greek mythology. Youth will immediately fall in love with tally. The unique relationship between her and her angel is a great metaphor. Get ready for plenty of action and adventure along with an HEA. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

Murder the Tey Way is book #2 in the Golden Age of Mystery Book Club by Marilyn Levinson. Lexie is back and finds herself involved in another mystery. She gets a surprise call from her sister Gayle as she prepares for her book club. The next morning she finds a dead body in her yard. Everyone is a suspect, from Gayle to the book club members. There are lots of twists and the author keeps you guessing. This was truly a cozy mystery. A warm fire and blanket would have made this experience perfect. The characters were both what you would expect and not simultaneously. I enjoyed the bit of romance and the little triangle that Lexi finds herself in. This was a wonderful story. Very enjoyable for cozy mystery fans.
