The third instalment of this series DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I truly couldn’t get enough if I tried. Do yourself a favour and read them all! Too good! Pauline Gruber you have captivated me, made me forget I have a family, and kids because I simply couldn’t put this book down! Lucy is the strong smart girl that I wish I was growing up! 10 out of 10, couldn’t recommend enough. Your writing style is amazing, your words flow in a way that makes me feel as though I’m there in the very moment and it is something I treasure when I read really good books from really good authors!

Pauline Gruber did NOT hold back with the second instalment in this series! Lucy’s character grows into who we hope she’s going to be even more and the story keeps giving us that thrill. I seriously cannot get enough of this series and I couldn’t recommend it more. The writing, the plot, the flow, all of it just works so well and has us as readers falling for every line! Don’t walk, run, get the books, read them all, and question how this story isn’t far beyond Young Adult categories across the globe. This book is one I wish I had read as a teen, and as a mom, I’m here for it just as much!

Born to Fight (Can’t Resist You Book 1) by Brittany Anne – Review by Alexandra Leith

Born to Fight (Can't Resist You, #1)Born to Fight by Brittany Anne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An unforgettable Dystopian romance. This book had me hooked. Between the world building and the budding romance I could not put this book down. I loved the characters and their will to fight back against those who would take everyone’s free will or kill them.

Rain has been living in hiding and isolation for 2 years until one day she stumbles upon a dying man. She could leave him where she found him. It would be safer for her, but her good heart will not allow that.

The man she saved is none other than Hunter Kane. The leader of the Resistance. A group of people who have dedicated their lives to taking down the tryanny that caused America to fall. They rule and control everything. They are the UNR.

Since meeting Hunter, Rain for the first time has hope that her life can be more than one of solitary confinement. Meanwhile, Hunter begins to wonder if he can have the chance to be more than just a Resistance soldier. The two have an undeniable instant connection, but between secrets and the UNR they may not stand a chance.

Engaño (The DeWitt Agency Adventures Book 2) by Lance Charnes- Review by Lauren West

Engaño (DeWitt Agency Adventures, #2)Engaño by Lance Charnes
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This has been one of the most exciting books I have read in a long time. The plot twists and turns of this book are layered with action, suspense, and intrigue. Carson in turn is like no character I have experienced before. She is sexy, worldly, trained and skilled with weapons and hand-to-hand, and extremely clever. An ex-cop she is taking care of her fathers debt to the mafia and everything escalates from there. Her attempt to bring back the Russian cabinet ministers daughter Viktoriya takes an unexpected turn and leads her chasing the girl thru the Underworld. Getting a glimpse of Carson in action makes this novel quite a page turner that is hard to put down.

Cursed Luck (Broderick Coven Book 5) by AJ Renee – Review by Felicia Bates

Cursed Luck (Broderick Coven, #5)Cursed Luck by A.J. Renee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cursed Luck is the first book I’ve read by AJ Renee, despite being Broderick Coven book 5. I enjoyed the book from the very first chapter. The author paints a very vivid picture and I felt the words playing out like a movie in my mind.
I really enjoyed Mia and Edward as characters and the book in general sparked my interest in catching up on the series. Even though this is an excellent stand alone read, I always feel like I’m missing out when I jump into a series without knowing the background of supporting characters from books prior. I would give Cursed Luck ⅘ stars and I look forward to adding this author to “my authors to look out for” list.

The Boss Prince (It’s Raining Royals) by Alix Nichols-Review by Elena Tobar

The Boss Prince (It's Raining Royals, #1)The Boss Prince by Alix Nichols
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is such a charming story. I really enjoyed reading The Boss Prince. It was so much fun seeing places in France mentioned that I have actually been to. It lends such a charm to this story and the humor coming from both Max and Lucie lends a touch of realism to their journey. Too often books leave humor out, and there were so many moments in this book that made me laugh and think that totally sounds like something I could see myself saying or thinking. This is such a fun, romantic, mysterious book and the hidden world that the author, Alix Nicho created is just fascinating! I’m really excited to read the other books in this series and see how things unfold with Mount Evor.

Weep, Woman, Weep: A Gothic Fairytale about Ancestral Hauntings by Maria DeBlassie – Review by Kayla Kearney

Weep, Woman, WeepWeep, Woman, Weep by Maria DeBlassie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

As someone who minored in Spanish in college and was always fascinated by the tale of La Llorona, this was the perfect book to read to start off spooky season! Weep, Woman, Weep is a a modern story about the weeping woman, also known as La Llorona, and the effects she has on a small town called Sueño near the Rio Grande. The book follows Mercy in her efforts to remain ‘unbaptized’ by La Llorona, many years passing throughout the span of the book. Watching her attempts to break the generational trauma passed down to her made the book even more fascinating to read.

By the time Santos is introduced more than halfway through the novel, I was sucked in, even more so by his introduction. The automatic chemistry between the two made it impossible to put the book down after that point. Everyone reading this book will be dying to know if true love prevails or if the weeping woman will get her way with Mercy. The only thing I don’t like about the book is that it ended far too quickly, making me wish there was more to this amazingly haunting story!

The Guardian’s Legacy (The Coin of Time series Book 1) by Luciana Cavallaro – Review by Chrissy Spulak

The Guardian's Legacy (Coin of Time, #1)The Guardian’s Legacy by Luciana Cavallaro
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If you are a fan of action/adventure, history, and suspense, you will LOVE The Guardian’s Legacy (The Coin of Time Series Book 1) by Luciana Cavallaro. I am a fan of authors like Dan Brown, and movies like National Treasure, and this book fits in nicely with those works. An unlikely, but likeable, main character receives a call to action which sets off events that will carry you away from the first page. There is something for every reader in this book: action, adventure, history, myth, suspense, and family secrets. This is a fast-paced read that ended too soon, but thankfully, it is only book one. This author’s writing style is captivating and well-done, and sucks you right into the story. I very highly recommend this book and am awaiting book 2.

This is not the first book that I have read in this series, but I have to say that AJ Renee gets it right each time and each book improves as she goes! This theme of paranormal romance and runs around soul mates who find each other.

In this fifth book, Mia finds herself drawn to the mysterious Broderick brother that she just meets. The two have to get acquainted with each other. And the chemistry between the two is amazing! This is a fast read and has so many twists and turns! Great job again on this book in this series!

Wild Desire (The Protectors Series Book 1) by Toya Richardson – Review by Megan Watson

Wild Desire (The Protectors, #1)Wild Desire by Toya Richardson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A shifter romance that’s spicy spicy 🥵 nearly the whole way through is a fabulous escape from reality. 😍 Mila and Elias have an entertaining relationship from their first meeting. I found myself gasping and clutching my imaginary pearls with some of the very alpha comments that Elias made. Mila handles it well from a woman’s point of view.
The antagonist in this book is a group of vile science type people, led by the daddy’s boy Drake Scott. Drake Scott has had it out for Mila since she was in grade school and there are no limits to how far he will go to terrorize her life. I was on the edge of my seat a good portion of this book and was not disappointed by the ending. I’ll be keeping an eye 👀 out for the next book in this series.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is book 5 in the Broderick Coven series and these books keep getting better and better. Like the previous 4 books it is a paranormal romance which lots of surprises and magic. I love the whole idea of soul mates and how the characters are destined to find their one true love.

The main characters in this are Edward and Mia. Edward is part of the Broderick Coven. His magical power is luck. He has intuition skills which makes him very successful in business. But love isn’t for him..and he doesn’t plan on looking for it.

However when the beautiful florist/witch called Mia comes into his life all that changes. But things aren’t plan sailing.
They both seem to rub each other up the wrong way. Can this love/hate relationship settle to just love or are they destined to make each others life hard forever?

This is a mystery solving story that I enjoyed. This is a new author for me and I look forward to seeing what is next for her. This is a well written story that takes place during the 1930s. Three people are invited as guests to a party but unknown to them their host needs their help to solve a mystery of missing documents. Will they figure out this mystery before it goes public? I enjoyed the characters and what they brought to the story. They pulled me into the story almost from the beginning. It is fast paced in parts and engaging in others. I also enjoyed the growth of the plot throughout the story. This is a great story that I highly recommend.

The author writes the books solidly and in such a way that someone could pick them up without having read the whole series. I love how the main character has developed throughout the series. She is a fantastic lead and love watching how she progresses through each new mystery. If you love a good crime thriller with spunk, this book and series should be on your TBR list.

Runaway to the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction Book 2) by Nicole Flockton

Pandora makes a lasting impression with the town of Bunya Junction the second she walked into Jonas’s pub but more importantly is the impression she made on Jonas.

There is something so charming about this town and the people who live there.  I couldn’t imagine living in the middle of the country, living between a big city and the country is perfect for me but I would live to visit this place for a bit.

I throughly enjoyed this book, getting to know the townspeople a little better and feeling like I was a part of their world for just a while.  I’m looking forward to the next book and catching up with my friends.

Whoever said bubble baths were relaxing, was a big fat liar.

In the small town of Sueño on the banks of the Rio Grande, if you’re a girl, you aren’t allowed to be happy. Not when La Llorona is waiting for an opportunity to drag you under a baptism you.

Mercy and her best friend Sherry find themselves on the banks of the river after dark and are never the same again. Mercy then faces more tragedy and becomes a lonely outcast branded a witch from the townsfolk all while being marked and terrorized by La Llorona. Slowly through perseverance she turns all the darkness around her into hope, gaining the name Miracle Mercy.

This was such a wonderful read. Maria’s writing makes you feel as though Mercy is sitting there on your porch with you and a bottle of wine telling you her story. Once you start, you just can’t put it down.

Although this story was fairly predictable I still enjoyed it. It was wonderful getting to know Jonas and other characters. What I like about this series is that it’s not just romance. There’s a lot of trauma some of the characters have faced and worked through in order to love someone else.

I also like how everyone keeps finding their soul mate when they least expect it. It’s a beautiful series where it seems everyone eventually gets their happy ending. With all the events happening in the world it’s just what I need to warm my soul and put a smile on my face. I cannot wait for the 3rd book to come out in January.

I liked this story. It was cute and had it’s steamy moments. I wish there was more Collin stuff. His heart seems so pure. Maybe a prequel to the series?

I loved Ryans growth in the story. I thought everything about his character was realistic. From his fear of rejection to getting beneath the shield he wore to his true self. I want to know more about his family and the decisions they made for him.

Sindy was likable and encompassed a small town girl next door feel. Family oriented, Sweet, but tough.

Home to the Outback is an adorable story about fate, forgiveness, love, growth and healing. If you’re looking for a feel good happy endinddg then this is the book for you.

This is the fifth book in the Broderick Coven series. A whole family of witches, unusual, but true. This is the story of Edward, who is the distant brother. He gets asked to help a friend out, Mia, with her floral shop, make it better. Edward’s magic is just knowing what a business needs to make it more successful. Unfortunately, he cannot keep his foot out of his mouth when he is around Mia. His family has recognized her as what she is…his mate. Will they be able to accept that they are mates? Can he help her with her floral shop or tear her down with his bluntness?
This was a great story, I am drawn into the family, with all their differences they above anything else love and respect each other. This is what I long for with my family. The closeness, the unconditional love, the interfering with each other’s lives. Thank you, AJ Renee, for another great read!

The Guardian’s Legacy was a really good read! I enjoyed so many aspects of this quick novel. The history, the Greek retellings, the entire pace of the novel. So much was there to keep me entertained and hold my focus while reading. The Greek mythology was a amazing to me. I love reading anything that has to do Greek history and their gods, and the fact that this book and the premise of the story was based around them was incredible to me. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel and I can’t wait to see what happens next in the next installment of this series!
