Carter has finally met his match! Carter’s and Vanessa’s story is absolutely adorable. They meet in a way that seems completely random but is absolutely fate setting the wheels in motion. Carter is always the first person to step forward to help others while pushing his own needs aside. It made me so happy to see that it is finally his turn to have some happiness with his long awaited mate. This book is different from the others in the series so far because Vanessa doesn’t have any powers, and it makes it even more difficult for her to accept her mate and all that comes along with being part of the Broderick family. If you’re a fan of the paranormal you will love this book! It’s full of romance, heat, action and mystery. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Twilight’s Curse is the first book in the Twilight Realm Trilogy by K.M. Wray. It is a YA fantasy story with elves and brownies, magic and dragons, fighting and action, pain and sorrow, hope and wonder. This was my first time reading a book from this author. The plot and characters are interesting, and there is a little bit of emotions that leak through. There is action and hate, love and lies, pain and sorrow and betrayal. I found I could not fully immerse and lose myself in the story. I needed something more. But please don’t let my thoughts deter you, I am a fussy paranormal fantasy reader.
If you love YA fantasy, give it a go you may just love it.

Shadow of Doubt was just as good as the first book in the series. I look forward to more books by Merissa Racine, as I loved both books in the Crawford Mystery series. I really would love to know if the author wrote this from experience (not all the details, but assisting solve a big case). This book could be read as a stand alone, but you would be missing a lot of the background information. Also the first book is really great, so why skip it? The main character Lauren is brilliant, but is currently freelancing and desperate for money. So desperate, she takes a job working along side her ex husband daily. As if that weren’t enough stress, Lauren once again finds herself in the center of a major crime in her little town. On top of that, she has taken it upon herself to play detective and try to prove the innocence of a man on trial for murder. This book is action packed, and once again, has some twists and turns along the way that caught me off guard. I love that the real murderer was not at all who we suspect it will be. Well done Racine!

wow! this is my first read by Nikki Barrett.
this story explores Scott and Zeldas journey, and the heart wrenching trauma they endure early in the story that leads them to barely be able to interact. As if that’s not enough Scott can see and speak to ghosts and they Interrupt him at all the wrong times which puts constant strain on his family. When he takes a trip away catastrophe strikes pushing Scott and Zelda to the brink and a secret will be revealed.
Will Scott and Zelda be able to save their relationship after tragedy, can they forgive one another and come together stronger?
This was a good story and a good 4.5 star read. it will keep you riveted.

Silent Gavel is my first Merissa Racine book, but it won’t be my last. I was instantly hooked and didn’t want to put it down. It is the first book in the Crawford Mystery series, and is a page turner. It is action packed from the very beginning and kept me on the edge of my seat. Lauren finds her boss dead, and soon becomes the lead suspect. She begins playing detective to try to prove her innocents, and while she has many possible suspects in mind, the cops are zeroed in on her. This book is full of surprises and action packed. Relationship drama, ex cons, unemployment, jealousy, the works. I loved all the characters and how they were brought to life. I was shocked to learn who the killer was, as they were not even on my radar (or Lauren’s for that matter). I hope to see some romantic sparks between Lauren and Sam (detective) in the next book. Highly recommend this one!
Side note, I thought it was really cool to learn the author is a stenographer, like the lead in this book.

Merissa Racine has done it again! Shadows of Doubt is the second novel in the Crawford Mystery series, and it was a can’t-put-it-down read!
I would highly recommend reading the first book in the series to get a feel for the main character, Lauren, and what she does as a court stenographer.
In this second book, Lauren has grown from her experiences in the first novel and is ready to figure out yet another mystery that has happened in the town of Crawford.
If you enjoy thriller novels or mystery novels (or both like me) then you will love this series!
Merissa has taken a job not many know about and has written it into a novel series that makes you want to keep reading more, not only for the mystery and who-dun-it storyline but also to learn about an important behind-the-scenes job in the court system.
I cannot wait until the next book in the series comes out as it will be high on my priority list to read! I already know it will be even better than this one!

Wow what more can I say. I really love how I have found a series that is complex in that it covers a lot of different chapters of the Satan’s Devils MC chapters. I like how the author is able to bring context to all of the characters and bring complexity to their lives. I also like how the books are not predictable and grab the readers and keep their attention. I was really grabbed in and didn’t want to put the book down.

I really liked how the author was able to build the back story and how at the end of part one we are on a cliff hanger of a sorts. I like how all the characters are conflicted. I really cannot wait to read the next book and see how things turn out.

Wow!! I don’t even know where to start with this one, honestly Snowfall Serenade is just simply phenomenal, a one-of-a-kind and truly original storyline, one that sticks with you well after the last page!

This is hands down a series that needs to be read in order, but that isn’t a problem since each book is amazing! This storyline is intense, heart-wrenching, touching, gripping and so very unexpected! I read it in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to stop reading, I was so consumed by these characters that I just couldn’t bear to put it down.

This is one of the best series I have ever read and I would highly recommend it to anyone! This is a series that should not be missed!!

Come Back Tomorrow (Embrace Tomorrow Duet Book 1) by Amy Argent. Wow y’all, this book tore me up! If you have read “The Fault in our Stars” and loved it this is right up your alley. Its the story of Will who is dying from a terminal cancer and he’s pretty much given up on life. Tori is a psychologist at the hospital so when her friend Jenny the nurse asks her to meet a patient who doesn’t get many visitor’s she automatically thinks of Will. Will is not really receptive and Tori is stumped because she’s never had a patient totally turn down a visitor. Will is just ready to die because this is not his first round with cancer and this time its super aggressive. Will is just tired and doesn’t want to fight anymore. The more Tori tries to break down his walls it finally works and they fall in love. This book will have you all in your feels and you will fall in love with Will and you will be rooting for him! This is a great fantasy story that is full of adventure, magic and best of all elves which I really enjoyed reading. This is a well written story that has creative characters and even some romance. This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed being pulled into the story by her attention to details. Her creative characters brought life to the story and kept me turning pages to the end. They are full of magic and action. This is a story about Zoe and Nix. They are both elves which are in need of help from each other. She has magic that is broken and needs to fix it. He needs her to stop throwing daggers at him so she can join him in this fight for peace. What happens next I highly recommend reading this book to find out. It is a great young adult story that I would suggest to any young adult looking for a fun adventure. This is a great book to pick up and highly recommend doing so.

This full length story really should have more than 5 stars. Yes it’s that good! This is Red’s story, how he came to join the Satan’s Devils. Red had lived through some things a child should never have to. His mother left after his dad had been in an accident that left his father paralyzed and unable to care for himself. That left Sam to care for his father, he was just a little boy. His dreams and goals had come to a stop. After his father passed, Red got on his bike and rode south. No plans, no destination. No Spoilers!

Manda Mellett has once again opened another book to this series. Every book has become my favorite. This one is no different. You can’t help falling in love with Red or the other members of Satan’s Devils. Her books are fast passed and will draw you in before you can turn the first page. You will find yourself laughing, then crying, followed by wanting to throw your tablet/book. Don’t do it! Just keep reading and it gets better. I am hoping the rest of Red’s story is ready soon. I can’t wait. Well Done Manda Mellett! Well Done! ! !

Twilights curse should most definitely be adapted for a TV show or movie (only if it does it justice). This book teaches a beautiful lesson on forgiveness, the power in vulnerability, and the beauty in trusting in your own abilities. I loved the details that were used to describe every second of the book. It made imagining the storyline very easy. This YA romance was very sweet and reminded me what it felt like to be a teenager in love. I can’t wait to read the next book!

Wow, this series just keeps getting better. Lucy is still struggling with her relationship with Marcus, but that is really the least of her worries. There is so much more action in this book and we meet even more characters to make everything that much
more interesting. Lucy has doubts about almost everyone, but she still has a good heart and firm beliefs on what she should do. She really grows more in this book and she is what makes it so good. Of course, the secondary characters make it even better. Her “family” loves her and does what they can to help her. There are plenty of other great characters you won’t soon forget on both the good and evil sides.

Again, the story is fantastic in this book. I quickly picked this book up after book one and could not put it down. The author weaves such a captivating story. At the heart, it is good vs evil, but who is good and who is evil? You are asking yourself that the whole time.

If you are a fan of YA Paranormal Romance or Urban Fantasy, this book is for you. I do recommend reading book one first so you have a better understanding though.

Once again we follow Lauren, who is now working as a freelance court reporter, as she is thrust into the Archer family drama. Shadows of a Doubt once again pulls you into trying to solve the who-done-it mystery. Merissa successfully sets up the story line, question and makes you guess who the murderer is, and shocks you at the end. I found that I couldn’t put the book down and kept wanting more. I hope to continue following Lauren, Sam, and all the townspeople of Crawford.

This is another amazing book in the Satan Devils series. This author never fails to amaze me with her story telling and the characters. I love how all the characters in her books are all linked together through the Satan Devil’s club.

We have met Red in previous books but now he has  a book of his own. His story is  a hard one to read, from having to care for his father from a young age to trying to find his love Red’s story really opens your eyes to the character Red is.
Once Red’s father passes he’s not free. All he wants is to ride his bike and find true love. He thinks he has found that until the lady in question vanished and breaks his heart.

Finally on his own he gets in with the Satan Devils and works his way from prospect to president.
He  still wants to find his old lady and settle down but is that even possible.
It isn’t until his past catches up to him that he can ask her why she disappeared and hurt him all those years ago. But she isn’t alone and this raises more questions
This raises more questions which Red is determined to find answers.
This book will keep you gripped as the others do and you can’t help falling for Red.

This is the first book I have read from this author and while geared toward the middle to high school reader, I loved this book. I feel like the author has done a wonderful job of creating a story that not only is appealing to the young adult reader but to the adult reader as well. Especially if you love reading fantasy, folksy, myth and stories. She did a great job making me feel as though I was in this world around me. Her characters are amazing. I truly love the elves in this book. In fact, I wanted to be one. This book reminded me of several book series I love, and it took me on a ride to a realm I want to live in. I look forward to the continuation of this series and will certainly be checking out some of the other books by this author. Do yourself a favor and pick up this book to read.

The Girl and the Demon is the third book in The Gild and that Raven book by Pauline Gruber. I highly suggest reading books one and two because it will enhance the pleasure of this book. This is a YA paranormal/fantasy story. It is filled with witches, demons, gargoyles, magic, challenges, and good vs. evil. The storyline is engaging. I kept turning the pages to see what was coming next in the story. The characters kept my attention and mystified my senses. This story is about Lucy and her friends. Lucy has a lot to think about with her friends, boyfriend, and an evil demon coming after her. Will Lucy be able to keep everyone safe or will she meet her match? I highly recommend this book and all the books in the series. I can only hope that there is more to come.

I give The Girl and the Raven: a YA Paranormal Romance by Pauline Gruber, 4 stars.

This was a really interesting YA Paranormal Romance. It starts out pretty tragic for Lucy, but then she is given another chance to basically start all over. In this book, we really learn who she was and who she wants to be. She is such a strong person, especially for her age and while she struggles, she does what she has to for those she loves. We are introduced to so many other characters besides her that really help to make this book so much better.

Then there is the story itself. I will admit, this book seems to have some of the things that at one time we saw everywhere in this genre. To be honest, that made me question by choice of books. But I quickly realized that there was so much more to this book than that, and those things I worried about paled in comparison to the suspense and action in the story. Lucy is trying to come to terms with what she really is, trying to fit in at school, trying have a steady relationship, and all the while battling against an evil out there. There are plenty of surprises along the way too — things aren’t always what they seem.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys supernatural romance with plenty of action and strong main characters.

Nite Fire: Smoke and Mirrors is a fantasy book about Dahlia Nite, a half-dragon shapeshifter. Dahlia is now living among the humans, not really fitting in, however, she didn’t fit into her original world either. However, what she doesn’t realize is that these two worlds are about to collide. She works with the police department trying to engage in “normal” life, but to live this normal life also means she lives in lies and deception. One night, by the river, dismembered body parts were discovered and now Dahlia had to try and figure out this oddity. Luckily, the secrets that she holds helps her on this endeavor, however, she will have to explain and deceive her partner to get to the bottom (a partner who only knows enough about the world she came from, but not to the extent needed to keep everyone safe). This is my first book by this author and I thought CL Schneider provided a new outlook on the fantasy world. The story line was intriguing, however, there were a lot of characters I had to keep up with and what relation or world did they originate from. With that said, the characters she portrayed were different then in other fantasy books I have read, plus they were developed, complex, but also relatable.

I enjoyed this fantasy story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the start and kept engaged to the end. The characters gave life to the story and made it fun and easy to read. This is a story that took me on an adventure of romance and twists and turns like no other. A war is coming and Talise hopes that she has enough power to win. She is a strong, fierce character that believes in herself until she meets him. He has just as much skill as she does but she also has secrets that could change things. What happens next is up to you to read about. You don’t want to miss what happens with this strong character. I really enjoyed her and she is my favorite so far. I enjoyed the plot growth throughout the story and of the characters. This is a great story to pick up and I highly recommend it

Ashes of Aldyr is the first book in The Obscured Throne Trilogy by Russell Archey . Holy Cow what an epic dark Fantasy. I’ll admit what I just read was no where near what I expected to find when I started reading. It’s a grab you from the beginning and doesn’t let go till the end. It’s a fast paced story that takes you on quite the adventure and the characters are well developed and easy to keep up with. I could quite easily imagine how things looked and a couple times I literally got chills. This is a new to me author but he just got himself a new fan. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens. I can’t wait for the next book in this Trilogy.

The Ashes of Aldyr is probably one of the best dark fantasy stories that I’ve read in a bit. It’s usually not my genre but I had read such great review that I had to give it a try. I am so glad I did. Action, thrills and dark adventure. The evil kind of gives you such creeps that you want to crawl in a hole too. I found myself holding my breath waiting for the next thing to happen. I wanted to keep reading but life (eating, sleeping, etc.) got in the way. The author’s descriptions are so clear that I can almost visualize the characters and places in my head. A definite winner for me. This is a great book. Give it a shot! I don’t think you’ll be unhappy. Highly recommend.

Yet another great book in this series! I do wish that there was more detail to the resolution. I thought there was a gracious plenty amount of details in their love life but a lot less in the situation at hand. Overall, I thought it was a great read with a good story line. I definitely love this series.

This author can kidnap a readers attention and weaves a mighty tale that astounds and captivates. Her characters are well thought out and the execution is on point. I really loved this story. Red appealed to all my senses and has me wanting more. The need to know more about Red is all consuming. From the MC life and the way the author unveiled his life, Red’s Peril was an emotional and stirring story which gripped me and impressed me. A journey that isn’t over and one that is completely addictive and full of bumpy bits. This story will give you a bit of all the feels and a lot of enjoyment. A crazy good book. I want more. 5 stars.

Really good dark fantasy read! This was my first read from this author and I will be reading more from them. As you read this book you see that all aspects of the story come together. I really enjoyed the character building and the descriptions of all the different places. Not everything is as it seems in this story. I am a sucker for a good Rockstar Romance. I am so glad I picked up this book because it did not disappoint. The author sucked me into Melody and Joe’s story and I became completely invested. This is a friend’s to lovers story with drama, secrets,loss, love, and great characters. Melody is the daughter of a legendary drummer and she has known Joe and his band, Gracefall for a long time. She is asked to manage their tour and although she has reservations about it she decides to go and that’s when things get going. I don’t want to give anything away but you need to put this on your must read list. I experienced a myriad of emotions while reading this story which makes it a great read for me. I highly recommend this book.

This was a great 5 star read. I love rocker reads and this one pulled me right in from the beginning and I didn’t want to stop reading it.

Joe’s band Gracefall is starting to get big and when his best friend Melody joins their tour as their manager things get very interesting. Melody has a rule against dating Rock stars. The more time they spend together the greater their attraction gets. They do also have some things from their past that just won’t stay in the past. And there is a huge twist when tragedy strikes.

How will they both react to this? Can they move forward and have a HEA?

Overall I really enjoyed this book. The characters added a great element to the story. The author does a great job with her writing and I can’t wait to read more from this series. We get some steamy scenes and you can’t help but think about your own favorite band and wonder what they would be like on the road. I waited for book 2 and it lived up to every expectation! Merissa Racine has done it again!

Lauren Besoner is back again! She is still in her small town and still working as a Stenographer. As book 2 brings us present we are given the trial for the accused. Financially desperate she takes a job working with her ex-husband who is now the new judge. As the trial starts Lauren has some immense concerns about the accused and believes that they are actually innocent. As a true crusader for justice and what’s right she starts investigating everything she can find. As she begins uncovering some harsh and undesirable truths surrounding this crime, she also comes face to face with some of her own personal demons.
Its now a question of can Lauren prove the truth and out the real killer, or will she lose her life entirely?
