Bake Believe is an adorable story about a young girl going through crushes, school, family, and… something special. This book was definitely one of a kind. It’s a coming of age novel with a relatable young character and all of her friends and family. Read this if you like cute stories about young children figuring out where they are meant to be in life. The narrator is great and fits the story really well from a teens perspective.

I’m a baker and an avid romance reader. Total sucker for a cute romance story. Having lost a parent to cancer and knowing the struggles of carrying on a legacy I get what Elle was when she was just going through the motions of each day. The cute baking references mixed in with the magic of NYC almost gave me a Disney’s Enchanted vibe. If you need a cute and feel-good book to read on a trip or a beach day I highly recommend it. There are some dark spots in the book that I feel I should mention, if loss or taking care of a sick loved one is a trigger id proceed with caution, however, it’s an adorable book.

Flirting With My Enemy was a really good read! If you like light hearted, enemies to lover romance that can also make you laugh and cry, then this book is for you! It was a short read, and for a quick read this one really packed a punch! I was laughing throughout the whole novel, but the end had my crying. This was such a sweet read! I am so glad I decided to pick this book up and read it. I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future and to read the sequel novel!

Dark Bastard: A Dark Sparrow Novel is the fifth book in the Bastard series by India Kells. These books keep getting better and better. Each brother’s story is a tale that needs to be told. Sam is in a dark place and when he accidentally calls the wrong number, Ellie gives him something to live for. As always it is great to see glimpses of the other brothers. I’m waiting with bated breath for November and the final book in this series……maybe……well a girl can hope maybe Ms. Kells will find a lost unknown brother out there. If you haven’t read any books in this series, I highly recommend you read them in order. You really don’t have to because each book features a new couple, but you would miss a bunch of the back story if you skipped any books. Besides they are all Five Star books. Review by @sunbarn

This is the second book in the Dark Sparrow series, but the first I have read by this author. India Kells spins an amazing story that draws you in from the beginning. This is the story of Zoe and Archer. Zoe has an amazing ability with languages and can pick them up without formal study. Archer is a businessman who is selling part of his business and needs assistance with some language barriers to make sure he is getting the best deal for him. What Archer doesn’t know is that Zoe is put in his path to help save him from a possible disastrous ending. Archer is very cold, and Zoe is a not part of his plan, but can they find love together with the danger that surrounds him? I love how Zoe is such a strong, independent, smart woman. She doesn’t run from danger. She wants to be an equal not to be saved. I am looking forward to the next installment!!

This is the third installment in the Dark Sparrow series and India Kells did not fail to deliver another incredible story! This is the story of Kai and Isabel. Kai and Isabel met years ago in Hawaii, fell in love, and Isabel just disappeared. Isabel is thrown back into Kai’s life as him and his bastard brothers are determined to take down his father. Isabel is a strong self-made woman but is terrified of Kai finding out all the secrets from her past. Their connection is still as strong as it was years ago in Hawaii, but can they survive the fight against Kai’s father? Can they survive each other finding out about their pasts? This author does a fantastic job drawing us into the story. Even though Kai and Isabel are the main focus, all the brothers make an appearance, yet the story is very balanced. I am ready for the next book!

The fourth book in the Dark Sparrow series has the bastard brothers still trying to take down their evil father. This is Liam and Catriona’s story. Liam is a cop who is not working do to an on the job injury. Catriona is an about to be nun, who is a wizard with numbers. The brothers feel that to take out their father, they need to stop the money. Catriona was asked by a mutual friend to help the family out. She is willing to risk her life to help them, Liam doesn’t want her to endanger her safety to do so. I love that these books are so interwoven and full of intrigue. There are so many twists and turns that are unexpected. Can Liam and Catriona also find love? Will they all come out unscathed after another run in with the bastards evil father? The fifth installment of the Dark Sparrow series did not disappoint. I am in love with these bastard brothers. This is Sam and Ellie’s story. Sam was a soldier, trained for danger. Ellie is a 911 operator. They had both made individual decisions to end their lives when Sam makes a call to Ellie by mistake. Hearing the sadness in her voice, he has to find out who she is and how to help her. Finding a way to be close to her also puts her in the most danger she has ever been in. Sam and Ellie both end up in the clutches of Sam’s disgusting father. Finding that they both come from childhoods that are far from even nice, can that bond them together to fight their way out of the situation they find themselves in? India Kells has a wonderful way with words that draws you in and keeps you intrigued to the last page. The epilogue for one book, is the prologue for the next, leaving you hungering for you next bastard brother fix. The women are strong, independent, and are not damsels in distress. Not only can they help save themselves; they kick ass doing it. Am absolutely in love with this author. Thank you, India Kells!

I really enjoyed this story. Its got a slight twist on a friends to lovers story because inbetween our couple goes from friends to enemies. The author does an amazing job with her characters that you can’t help falling in love with the pair of them. You can feel all the emotion and affection between them.
Levi and Dehlia were best friends. Always there for each other. Both had romantic feelings for the other but nothing came of it. Their friendship was really special until an event involving Dehlia’s ex husband torn them apart. Levi never got to explain his side of events and because of that Dehlia cut him off completely.
Now years later they are forced to work together on a project for Dehlia’s work. Dehlia is guarded and trying to protect herself and her heart but she can’t deny the feelings still run strong. Levi has never stopped loving her and is now making it his mission to prove to her how right they are for each other.
After so many heartbreaks can Dehlia let anyone in again? Will Levi be able to regain the trust he had with Dehlia or is the pain still to much for them both to heal.

This is Part 2 of Avenging Devil, a story from the San Diego Chapter of Manda Mellett’s Satan’s Devils MC series. It pretty much goes without saying, but you’re definitely going to want to read Part 1 first so go do that now and then come back to this book! Part 1 left me on such a cliff-hanger, I couldn’t WAIT to get started on Part 2. I couldn’t see how Niran and Saffie could possibly survive the situation they were in. And this book didn’t disappoint, resolving some things but then throwing curveballs and keeping the tension and the drama coming throughout. My favourite thing about this book is that the magnitude of the situation meant that all the Satan’s Devils chapters got involved. It’s great when so many of my favourite characters come together and interact with each other! I particularly enjoyed catching up with Swift, Cowboy and the rest of the Utah chapter. This is a dark and at times difficult book to read. Like Part 1, it addresses many sensitive and at times scary issues including racism, rape, PTSD and complications in pregnancy. The warmth and camaraderie of the Satan’s Devils helps to balance the darkness and provide a safe space for both the characters and readers to recover. For me, this is a five-star read. I’ve been thinking about the story constantly since I read Part 1, and found the conclusion very satisfying without being too predictable.

This is my Review of Master Tuscano Master of the Consulates Book 2 by Sylvia Black. I can say I am already hooked to this series and can’t wait to read book 3! This book mainly focuses on Christian, a member of the consulate, Delilah, a human who was turned due to dire circumstances, but it still keeps the characters from book 1 in sync greatly balancing the story. I am still going to say that Luce and Salvatore are still my favorite characters, but the relationship of Christian and Delilah is an amazing story itself with how much they’ve been through since they already had a relationship before the tragedy happened. If you love romance with a touch of steamy and demanding, this is your series. The main storyline is still going on and I love how it changes so much, but we still get the good relationship parts. I have already added Sylvia on my author list of good books. 👍

I LOVE LOVE LOVED this book! This series!! This is book 2 and boy it does NOT disappoint. You pick up after where book 1 left off and I recommend that you do read book 1 before diving into book 2. Can I say…..this story is truly fantastic. Mystery, Love, Lust and a fabulous talking mirror I just loved. You meet interesting characters. My heart broke when Vanessa does realize when she is now in the underworld, her choices impacted so many who loved her. I realize she wanted to save her brother, but the impact she had tore at my heart strings. Grey does not want Vanessa in the underworld with him, Raef loves Vanessa and Aroz…he still is a tricky one. I dont want to give to much away, but I highly recommend this book and series! The Ending!! I need book 3 ASAP!

What a cute story by Cori Cooper! I listened with my daughter and she enjoyed it so much. Bake Believe’s main character Cat is a spunky teenager that is unapologetically herself. As she shares her view of the world with us, we learn that like many other teenagers, she is into boys, friends, and living life to the fullest. Cat’s world is turned upside down when a mishap in her school schedule caused the reveal of a huge family secret. The secret has Cat learning to grow and mature while understanding more about herself. This story is fun and inspiring. The narrator Katie Penate did an amazing job portraying each character’s individuality and making the story come to life! If you have a young teen in your life, consider this book.

Trish is a new author to me and she didn’t disappoint. Charlie and Tank’s story was a great quick read! The story is sweet and sexy with relatable emotions. The characters are intriguing and likeable.
Charlie felt she had the perfect life until she got blindsided. Once she gets out she realizes she had blinders on in her relationship and she wasn’t as happy as she thought herself. This opens her up to be Charlie again! Her move back home was exactly what she needed.
I will definitely be picking up more books of Trish’s to read.

I get so incredibly excited when I see a new Madeline Dawkins mystery is coming from Cynthia Hamilton and this one was no exception! Houses of Deception is the sixth book in The Madeline Dawkins Series and as much as I say this every time, it is my absolute favorite yet! I have just completely fallen in love with this series and the characters that have become like family as I have followed them through each and every mystery they have tackled as well. I personally would say you will want to start at the beginning and get to know the characters and understand the way the team works with the first book and go from there if you have not yet. I am sure you could read them as standalones if you so chose though. The attention to detail and world building that Ms. Hamilton puts into her writing is phenomenal and really makes the reading experience a breeze. I won’t give away much more than the blurb about the mystery that Madeline finds herself in the middle of in this read but I can assure you it is one you do not want to miss! I can’t wait to see what we will get next from the super talented Ms. Hamilton!

A twisted story of interspecies love, and the ravages that war wreaks on beings. Tasha and Levi are the epitome of star-crossed lovers, being forced apart to participate on opposite sides of a war neither agrees with. The plot is interesting and varied enough to keep reader engaged. The revelation of the shared enemy was a cool shift in the story that I didn’t expect. I would have liked to see a little more character development around Tasha and Levi, some layers in their relationship and personalities. All in all, a paranormal romance that will keep you guessing.

Thank God this book picked up exactly where part one ended. I was left hanging on the edge of my seat, holding my breath. Part two was amazing! Honestly, this author never disappoints. Every book that I have read gets better and better. This book has action, romance and some serious drama. I flew through a whole range of emotions, one minute I’m happy then sad then angry and so nervous. There were a few heart stopping moments in this story.
Niran tries his best to stay alive to protect Saffie but to do that he needs to lie through his teeth and use his best acting skills even if she ends up hating him. He couldn’t live with himself if she died. Both are put in life threatening situations which will have you losing hope. What Saffie has lived through is an absolute horror. I don’t think I have ever hated a character more than Duke. There are so many twists in this book. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. This is a definite must read, I loved it!

Bake Believe is a charming sweet story about a preteen who ends up in a class about cooking! I often found myself chuckling while reading and reminiscing about those days where the smallest inconveniences seemed like the end of the world! This book was great, and was narrated very nicely! I loved the sass and im sure we can all see ourselves in Cori Coopers characters! Great job!!

My goodness. I fell in love with Trent. He has been broken beyond what He thought was repairable. Charlie has always seen past the mess to see the true wonderful man that lays beneath. Though she has been hurt on more than one occasion, Charlie is so strong. Life brings them back together. Both trying to put the past behind them to just be friends for her brother’s sake. I adored this story and their love. Sometimes family genes bring good and bad. They find out though that never defines them!

Cursed Touch is the fourth book in the Broderick Coven series by AJ Renee. I highly suggest reading the other three books as well. AJ Renee is an amazing author. Her attention to detail really paints a vivid picture in my mind’s eye. Her characters are complex and fully developed. I had a hard time putting this book down as it is one of my favorites. This is a paranormal romance story. This is about Carter Broderick and his ability to heal. This is a gift he has and he loved being in the medical field. When Vanessa walked into his life all bets were off. He needed to protect her and not allow her to fall, victim. I highly recommend this book to find out what happens between Carter and Vanessa.

Having enjoyed the previous two books in the ‘Heron Harbor’ series I was looking forward to reading this next instalment and was not disappointed. It was lovely being back on Heron Harbor Island and the author really made the setting come alive once again. It can be read as a standalone story, however the characters do crossover and I’ve enjoyed the books as a series. This storyline follows artist and traveller Lark Donovan and Heron Harbor local Police Chief Hunter McMullen, and has a second chance at love theme. Lark is happy being independent and free spirited, travelling the country selling her paintings at festivals and teaching workshops whilst Hunter loves his life on Heron Harbor. Although Lark had a rule never to return to her childhood home she has to break this for her sister’s wedding, only to discover that someone she once had feelings for is also part of the wedding party, Hunter. For Hunter, Lark was the one that got away and having been reunited after years apart he’s not going to waste this opportunity. The couple discover that the chemistry between them is still there and it definitely sizzles off the page. Hunter decides to do all he can to convince Lark to stay which results in some sexy scenes. But despite this Lark still starts to pull away resulting in a story which kept me hooked from start to finish. I loved the main characters and found them both very easy to relate to and so felt engaged in their story. This is a lovely, heartwarming contemporary romance and I look forward to future books by this author.

JD Spero has hit it out of the park and beyond with this sequel to Boy on Hold. Ty is released after having had a psychotic break and murdering his neighbor Miss. Sally. After his mother Marcella is brutally attacked, Ty is arrested for the crime. Marcella insists that he is innocent but Ty seems to have confessed when the police arrived on the scene. JD does such a marvelous job bringing mental health to the forefront of this novel. I loved it from beginning to end.

A great follow up to book one. After a one way ticket to hell in trade for her brother’s life, Vanessa finds herself in close quarters with the Don of the Underworld; Grey. Despite her location, she soon finds out she is not alone and makes friends and even finds family. This book is fast paced and easy to read and the characters are relatable.
I loved the fact that this book had so many twists in the plot that you didn’t know what was coming. The ending of this book will leave you wanting more.

So Close: A Best Friends to Enemies to Lovers Romance by Renee Regent is the fourth book in the Love Grows series. This is a well written story that hooked me right from the start. I am a sucker for any time of enemies to lovers romance, even better if they started as friends! So when I saw this next book in the series I knew immediately I had to read it. I absolutely love Dahlia and Levi. I seemed to connect with both of these characters immediately and really wanted to see how things would work for them. They had everything going for them – chemistry, history, drama. I just thought they were so enjoyable to read about. This book is definitely my favourite one of the series so far and is a book I might have to do a re-read of sooner rather than later!

Boy on Hold by J. D. Spero takes place in the Adirondacks and revolves around a crime that shocks the small town. Henry (or Hen) is a seven year old who witnesses the horrendous crime. His brother, Ty, begins acting very strange after the crime. Hen is certain Ty could have nothing to do with the crime. After all, he loves his brother and cannot imagine him being capable of such actions.

Her Dark Love by Isra Sravenheart is the fourth book in the Dark Spell series. This is one series that I would highly recommend reading in order so that you can get full enjoyment out of it. I really enjoyed this book. It is an origins story as such, looking back at what is the start of Lady Isra’s journey. It is such a fast past story that you are so easily drawn into everything going on. I have enjoyed all this series so far but I do think this book is my favourite! I enjoyed going back to see where it all started and to understand more about the main character and why she is the way she is. I also have yo say that I think this book has got to be one of my all time favourite book covers. I could not stop looking at it. Even if I hadn’t got this book we the next in the series I would have picked it up based on the cover alone. A brilliant book and well worth the time.

Dream catchers Prestoria by J. U. Menon is a must read. It is one of those fantasy books that you just can’t put down. Filled with adventure, folklore, and legends. J. U. Menon truly captures family values and friendship, while filling your imagination. This is the first in the series and I look forward to reading the next one!

So Close: A Best Friends To Enemies to Lovers Romance is book four in the Love Grows series by Renee Regent. As far as friends to lovers stories go, this one ranked very high. Also add in the enemies drama, which made this book almost impossible to put down. The interaction between characters was seamless and even though there were many battles, the connection was undeniable and the chemistry was incredibly steamy. The heartbreak was brutal and the sense of betrayal palpable. Dahlia and Levi were a couple that should never have been. Their history was marred with tears and a lack of trust, but they fought their demons and won. Their strength was admirable and the willingness to eventually forgive provided a gripping and seductively structured masterpiece. I truly felt every struggle this couple battled through. Their ending was hard fought and so very passionate. In my eyes, a near perfect story. Stunning in its complexity, beautiful in it’s conclusion. This one will definitely be worth many re-reads. 5 stars.

So so sweet! I loved how it gave the backstory and helped build the world they were currently living in. It was so realistic and relatable – I wanted MORE at the end! I would love to follow their story and see where life takes them simply because of how real the story was, including the thoughts they had in their heads and the feelings they showed each other. It’s a feel good love story that I found myself smiling and even laughing out loud to throughout the entire book!
