Turning Wheels by Manda Mellett is the first book in the Satan’s Devils MC. This book is an absolutely fantastic book and the start of one of my favourite series! This book is exciting to read and I was hooked right from page one. I loved the fact that from the word go the author was clearly not afraid of throwing in obstacles that you don’t often see in books. The fact that the main character is in a wheelchair and around an MC I just loved. It made it different from any other MC book that I have ever read.
Manda Mellett is an author I wasn’t familiar with a couple of years ago now and yet has very quickly become one of those that I would one click buy without even reading the description. I love her writing style and how involved she makes you get into each of her books. The characters are always so well suited and so easy to connect with.
This book is a brilliantly strong start to a series and it absolutely worth the time!

This is book 2 in this series. It contains the things I love, Mafia, danger and romance. The romance is steamy and passionate. There is a fine line between love and hate and we see that in this book. The characters are amazingly written that you feel so engrossed in their story.

Dane and Milana were ment to be together. Both members of families in the Sindicato they seem perfect for each other. However Milana wants away from the Mafia lifestyle. She wants to find herself so she does this by leaving the love of her life behind.

Fast forward 11 years later and Milana is back. She realises that her place is by Dane’s side. However after all the heartbreak she caused when she left Dane he isn’t so quick to forgive and move on.

Can they work through the past and be together? Will Milana accept the man he is today totally emerged in the Mafia lifestyle? Can Dane ever trust that he is enough for her or will they both set themselves up for failure and heartbreak all over again?

Sexy Drug is the first book in the Losing My Heart series by Melody Calder. It’s the first time I’ve read any work by this author but if this book is anything to go by then it won’t be the last. I want to know what happens next in this story for a start.
Katie is the daughter of a very powerful crime lord and when someone tries to kill her, her father puts Ramone in charge of her safety with the added ‘request’ of do not touch her. That’s not an issue to begin with as both seem to seriously dislike one another until they get to know one another better. Needless to say Katie and Ramone become sexually attracted to one another but it’s more than his life is worth for him to even put a finger on Katie. Or is it?
I loved reading Katie and Ramone’s story. It’s dark and raw in moments and not for the faint stomach in places. Let’s just say that I wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of Katie’s father. He’s a very cruel and ruthless man and Katie is just a commodity to him.
I was sucked into the story from the very start and devoured this in the space of a few hours. I just didn’t want to put it down.
Definitely recommend.

This is the first book in the spicetopia series and the second that I have read of from this author. One thing about this author is that you are going to be reading some graphic scenes. Like holy hell, girl get-it scenes. So if you aren’t into that I would not recommend this author for you. While the sex scenes are wide eyes and fan-worthy the overall story is enjoyable. Jolie and Cy’s chemistry is wow. But can they both keep that spark when all their secrets are revealed? That is the true question.

This book is the first one that I have read from this author. The story was entertaining with some steamy moments. Sarah and James were both not looking for a relationship and agreed to scratch the other’s itch. Then, of course, those pesky things called feelings begin to develop, making them question could they be something more. It was a quick read for me. The internal monologue had me laughing and was on point with some of my own thoughts. I loved how open Sarah is about sex. Being a mother didn’t stop her from being herself. Just because you are a mom doesn’t mean you stop needed some TLC.

How I experienced this book:
Why does this feel familiar? Reading… reading… Seriously, why does this book seem so familiar? Reading… reading… Mother of all that is good and pure – it’s a Smurf reimagining.

Ok, seriously though, it took me a little bit to get past the insta-lust/love vibe in order for it to even click that it was this kind of retelling. I can do insta-lust/love sometimes, but I wasn’t feeling it for this book. Now, that being said, I gave this book four stars because I have read thousands of books from squeaky clean to dark taboo and I have never once run across a Smurf reimagining. The creativity of finding something that hasn’t been retold hundreds of times was refreshing. This book ends on a cliffhanger so you’ll need to pick up the next book to continue the story.

Kissing Scars by Jim Shomos. I loved this book. It was a little different from the romantic comedies I usually read but it was so good. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. Its the story of Sanaya a computer games designer who moves to Australia in search of love and a family. Once she arrives she meets Leo and they fall in love. The only problem with that is, he is 20 years older than her and has 3 almost grown kids and he does not want anymore kids. Is Sanaya ready to give up her dream of having her own kids? Leo is at a point in his life where he wants to be a magazine writer and travel and doesn’t see anymore children in his future. Will Sanya and Leo be able to make it work? This book will rip your heart out and put it back together. Be prepared to read it from cover to cover once you begin!

This was a well written story by a new author to me. It was quite a refreshing read because the main character truly does remind me of people I know which made me feel quite a bit of sympathy for. The writer did a wonderful job writing about the circle of life, how we deal with life and death, and how it all ties together. The way that she writes in both past and present tense was a different, yet refreshing, change of pace for me. It’s not a happy-go-lucky book that is certain. It pulled at my emotional strings and had me bawling my eyes out in certain moments. While not quite the ending I was expecting it was a very poignant and proper ending in my opinion.

The Hunter’s Heart is the first in the Love After Earth series by Astrid Sharpe and is by far one of my favorite reads of the year.

The book follows human woman, Poppy, and a band of women that were stolen from earth, and Zensah, leader of an alien tribe nearly extinct, who thought he was meeting settlers not stolen women.

I literally felt like I was eating this book I read it so fast. I’ve recently gotten into more fantasy and sci-fi books and this one perfectly scratches that itch. The characters were fun to read and easy to relate to. I found myself liking Poppy, not liking Poppy, and going back to liking her. I feel that shows the true talent of a writer when a character can influence you so much. Zensah was a dream and did similar for me as Poppy. If you are into sci-fi even a little bit, this is definitely a book you should check out! The story was vivid with lots of detail and descriptive so you could imagine where all of this takes place.

I will definitely read this again and I can’t wait to start the next!

I enjoyed this suspenseful romance story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. This is a well developed story that is written with a lot of emotion. The characters are relatable and give life to the story. I enjoyed being pulled into the story and how it kept me turning pages to the end. This is a story about overcoming the past, learning to trust again and finding love and happiness is possible. I enjoyed the growth of this story and watching the characters overcome things. Is overcoming the past too much for them or will happiness prevail? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens with these characters as they bring the story to life before your eyes.

This is the third book in this series which I enjoyed from beginning to end. If you haven’t read the previous two books, I highly suggest doing so to help you enjoy the most from this series. This is a well written story about friendship and the value of that friendship. The characters took me on a journey of looking for answers and realizing that you may not like what you find. As the story comes to full circle they are faced with things that are threatening and having to defend those they love. This was a really great story and my favorite yet in this series. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next for Cam.

I enjoyed this young adult story. This is a story that is written from the point of view of a young adult which really gives the story life. The characters fit the story and are relatable. This is a story about Hadley and the fresh start she wants at a new school. She finds herself living next door to a teen actress and everything she wants to be. She also finds herself in the popular group but soon lies threaten her relationship with Nick. Will she learn that being popular is not all it’s cracked up to be? I enjoyed this book and I think any young adult would enjoy it as well. I highly recommend this book.

This is a very quick read from this author. Everly Taylor has a way of righting that leaves you chucking as you are reading because there is subtle humor intertwined in the plot.. The blue men help Lillie on a bad day and she ends up on the adventure of a lifetime. This is a fantasy paranormal tale that you just can’t miss. The characters are well-written. The plot is enthralling. The descriptions will have you thinking of your childhood. I can’t wait to get to book 2 to see what happens with Lillie and the blue men.

Blue Summer Part Two by Everly Taylor is a paranormal romance that will pull you in from the beginning and you won’t want to stop till you’ve finished. This is the continuation of book one and picks up right where we left off. This is a fast paced story packed with magic and steamy romance and action, I literally was on the edge of my seat I wanted everything to work out. Lillie finds herself yet again kidnapped by Erius and he’s willing to go to any lengths necessary to get the information he wants from Lillie. Can the Zayed save her from Erius? Can she save herself before its to late? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I loved this duet and hope there is more in the future. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Sexy Drug is book one in the Losing My Heart series by Melody Calder. Dramatic from the very beginning, the pace stayed quick throughout the entire story. The story had many enjoyable and heart stopping moments. The storyline was edgy and gripping, keeping a reader on high alert awaiting the next event. With breathtaking danger at every turn, Katie and Ramone were on a treacherous road, but that did not diminish the intensity and passion that reigns between them. Their chemistry was electric and their journey went through many highs and many more lows. The author had a crafty way with words and played with a readers imagination and provided a titillating and unforgettable book. 5 stars.

This is the first book that I have read from this author and wow I was surprised. This book is meant for tweens not adults but I found myself addicted to this story. I love a good adventure and this author exceeded all my expectations. I was hooked from the first chapter and it only took me a few hours to devour this amazing read. I hope this author will consider doing a series.

Luella is an eleven year old girl that loves adventure. She is homeschooled and lives on a swap. Luella loves her life but she is also lonely. She doesn’t know it but she is not just a normal girl. Luella was told by her grandfather that they are from a place called Storey and if something happens to him she needs to go there. She is thinking that it is just a fairy tale until she follows a light. Luella finds her kind but are they her friends or enemies? Is there anyone she can trust or is she just as lonely in this place as well?

I was excited to read book 2 of summer blue. Ì loved the first book and the second was fantastic. It is a quick read that packs in all the excitement you are looking for. I was cheering for the Zayd to kick some butt. This is the continuation of Erius’ determination for more power. The Zayd and Lillie work together to try and stop his plan. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens and could not put this book down. I was excited to find out Lillie’s past and how she is tied to the Zayd. I am hoping there will be more of these characters.

The Way to Storey by L. B. Anne was a delightful story. Easy to read, a very quick read but more than all of that it was just a sweet, good story. I have to say I loved this book from start to finish and it’s easily my favorite book so far this year. I developed an instant love for Lou, Gramps and Ma Poo and they wrapped themselves around me like a warm blanket. This is not what you would refer to as an action adventure but there is plenty of action and plenty adventure. My only disappointment was that it ended too soon. It reads like a new series, (I certainly hope so) because this is one little story that’s too good to be at an end.

For the most part I really enjoyed the book! It was very unique and different from the majority of paranormal romances you read, which was quite refreshing. I struggled with the wordiness of it-like there were super descriptive words on top of each other and all at once; it just felt like too much for me, I think that part could have been dialed back. Loved the story line and LOVED the characters. Great Job!

This is a very interesting plot which takes us through two different timelines. It is about an archeological dig in Ireland, where an archeologist Caitlin uncovers a perfectly preserved corpse of a 1500 year old Pagan Irish priest, Ciaran, who lived in the fifth century. The body is taken to New York for further testing, But on reaching New York, the priest disappears. He is awakened, and seeks comfort in a church. The story takes an interesting turn when these two-start dating. How long can Ciaran hold back his secrets from Caitlin? Ciaran is an interesting character and the readers can empathize with his situation. Caitlin is slightly loud mouthed and does not come across as truly likeable. But they both form a very interesting pair.
The book is a breezy read , there are few secrets revealed, few left to be understood. The time travel element is interesting. Over all a good book to read.

The Eclipse Dancer by Laura Koerber was an interesting read. The imagery in this book was very vivid, and it read like a classic piece of literature the descriptions were that great. If you’ve read from Koerber before, this story has her typical style of writing, obviously. It’s very flowy. My only complaint was the back and forth between Andy’s memories and her current state. It fluctuated in a way that confused me sometimes. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. This was not a typical for me and I did enjoy it. I can’t wait to read more in the future!

This was my first L.B. Anne story, and I am sooo excited to have found it! Anne is a gifted author; her imagery and vivid world-building are out of this world! You will fall in love with the characters, Luella is my favorite! She is brave, strong, adventurous, and an ultimate tomboy who loves nature more than pretty dresses. The entire story is full of mystery, action, and following what you know is right. I can’t wait to suggest this to all my teacher friends, I think it’s a great read for entertainment purposes, but I also love the message behind it!

The Way to Storey by L.B. Anne is a fun Middle Grade book. Luella is an eleven year old girl who is homeschooled and lives with her Grandpa in the swamps of Florida. Her Grandpa has told her they are from somewhere called Storey. He has made sure Luella knows not to tell anyone about Storey. Grandpa has told her that if anything ever happens she need to follow the birds. When the unthinkable happens, Luella must follow the birds and she meets some wonderful characters along the way. This story will bring a smile to anyone’s face who decides to read it.

I believe you do NOT have to be between 8-12 years old to enjoy this story. I am a kid a heart and even as an adult, I very much enjoyed this book. What an adventure to feel like I was tagging along with Luella to find STOREY. She makes a friend or two along the way and finds trouble when there are people trying to capture her. I definitely recommend this book no matter what age….it was a great read 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The Eclipse Dancer by Laura Koerber is my new favorite book. I admit this with the utmost sincerity. The author’s style of writing is so beautiful that it dances off the page like sunlight sparkling off ripples of water. This book hit me right in the heart. I have a fond childhood memory of sitting on my grandmother’s porch, blanketed by the summer heat, as I listened to the breeze tinkle the wind chimes and watched the sun sweep across the landscape. This book relaxes and comforts me much in the same way. I’ve been a lover of words and stories since birth, and I truly appreciate when an author can elicit a physical response with the shape of their words. This story blends real, raw emotion with magic as Andy, a middle-aged woman, cares for her ailing mother and revisits a fantasy world from her childhood. I was hooked from the first line and give The Eclipse Dancer 5 stars only because I cannot give it more.

This is a wonderful adventure following Luella as she tries to makes her way to Storey, where her Grandfather says they are from. Luella meets interesting characters as she “follows the birds” while fleeing from the people who took her grandfather. I love Luella’s character! She is quirky and fun. She tries so hard to be a grown-up and to do as her Grandfather told her. She’s only 11, afterall. This would be a wonderful book for youth who like a little magic in their reading.

I will tell you that Cam Johns does not disappoint with Brink of Denial. She knows just how to keep you on the edge of your seat and pages turning. Unlike the first book, where the story revolved mostly around Seth and his lawyer Braelynns romance. The second book digs through his brother Danes past with his ex lover after eleven years and her brother. Mila gets into some deep water and needs her ex along with the rest of the mafia family to help fix the problem and we all know what kind of crazy stuff that the mafia is capable of doing.
